La Plaza Pizzeria in Scarborough

Just lost a long term customer today... Not due to the food but due to unfriendly and rude front of counter girl who couldn't appear more bored and uninterested if she tried and who issued no apologies for a messed up order.

Amazing place very good quality food

Only 1 jalapeño cream cheese ball was cooked threw the others were cold

One of the items we ordered was a mixed kebab which states it comes with lamb doner and we got chicken doner delivered somehow but actually this was quite nice as we hadn't had it before. Everything was hot and got given extra sauces and pitta breads. Food tasty and not greasy.

Bought a family mix got everything apart from my 1.5 bottle of coke tried ringing to sort the issue but no one will answer me

I order special order 5 and the fries were missing. as I collected it wrapped I could not check order before leaving. just eat doesn't have special deal seperate items so no way to say just fries so had to putting g full special deal on missing items part.

Ordered the lamb shish and donner meat for my wife, she got chicken and donner instead. Pizza was OK if not a bit dry.

Never fails, the food is well prepared and perfectly cooked. Reasonable prices too, my steak was stunning lovely n hot and medium rare n prawns were cooked perfectly.

Food was good, only downside was that they forgot 1.of the pizzas we had ordered.

Chips soggy and freezing cold. Bag was sopping wet through, pizza was Luke warm but barely edible as overpowered by tomato. Barely any meat on a meat feast pizza.

Wrong food delivered, parts of the order was luke warm at best.

I paid for extra donner meat and when it came it was extra cheese not extra donner and I couldn't eat much of it but other than that the other things I ordered where good

Ordered delivery on Foodhub , came really fast which was great and the food was all hot and fresh. The salad and sauces were all really fresh and packaged separately, even got a free garlic bread . Can’t recommend more !

The wraps where wet and soggy and we were unable to eat them as the wraps were that drenched they fell apart , they weren’t nice and the chips were ice cold and and dry , the food wasn’t good for consumption and all had to go in the bin it was a waste of £30 as I couldn’t even eat it

Pizzas and sides were absolutely delicious, but lost a star as the garlic bread was like cardboard. Would definitely order again though.

Food is nice but when I went to collect, the place was being run by teenagers in hoods and looks ran down and all the walls were greasy when I leaned on them whilst waiting for my order. I won't be going back.

Only place I'll go in town for my chicken shish kebabs! They're excellent, as is the service. The premises are spotless and plenty of seating if you want to eat in. Also delivery is pretty fast if you can't go in to order. I don't eat pizza myself but their pizzas do look good too. Definitely recommend 👌

Extremely rude and unaccommodating staff. Totally confrontational and a far from pleasurable experience. I could not have felt like more of an alien. The food was adequate at best. Will NOT visit again.

The customer service is second to none, the delivery time is spot on and accurate. I love their fried chicken and chips, also the pizza and garlic bread is delicious. I use their own website to order and have never had a problem with either my order or the food.

Visited La Plaza Pizzeria whilst in Scarborough for the day, as first impressions looked good. Inside it's pretty basic, with rigid table / chair units for anyone wanting to eat in, but generally looked fairly clean & tidy. Behind the long counter you can see the raised food prep / kitchen area which is quite reassuring, with lots of staff all very busy & noisy. This is why I personally prefer to visit a takeaway rather than pre-order / delivery as I like to know what the place is like, and where my food is coming from, so would never use 'Just Eat', and allows me to give a more balanced review. We ordered 2 large 14" pizzas, garlic bread and chips, which took a while as there was only one young girl taking orders / serving, but she was both pleasant and efficient, and spoke English, unlike most of the staff in the kitchen area. Food was ready in about 12-15 minutes, and even after our 15 minute journey, still fairly hot. Some prices, like kebabs seemed expensive, as to be expected with high food & energy costs affecting everyone, but they had several good deals available, and so ours came to just under £30. We all enjoyed the food, very tasty, not greasy, and although the toppings were quite sparse, my Spicy Beef with onions, had loads of Jalapenos, hot stuff! Overall we thought it was very good.

Sat waiting for our order that we placed two hours ago (before the England game kicked off). We tried to ring them numerous times. It either comes up as busy or it just rings out. Absolute joke

1 star and that's generous!!! So I ordered a barbecue chicken pizza tonight and a chocolate fudge cake with cream. As you can see complete splattered mess !!!!!! Looks like it's been thrown a million times !!!! Base of pizza was non existent too!! Had to tear it apart to try and eat it, wouldn't come out in slices!!! Never again!!!!

Pretty sure someone spat on my pizza, was cold after waiting 3 hours, the girl that works here no no respect for herself let alone the job, drink came warmer than the pizza

Waited nearly 2 hours for a take away. Cost twenty pounds and was not great. Had to phone twice to get delivery and just eat app said 40 mins.

Standard takeaway food the pizzas don’t seem to be freshly made taste ok though. Pizza tempo up the road is much much better and fresher if I was to be picky!!

I get it's busy today for people ordering but we were given a delivery estimate of 8.00-8.20. called at 9pm and was told order left shop at 8.40. called again at 9.40pm to ask to cancel to be told it's just leaving the shop and was too late for cancel and we could get same order tomorrow. I declined and they hung up on me. order arrived at 9.55pm. pizza had wrong sauce base on, garlic bread was overcooked and they went to wrong house. yes it's busy tonight but don't lie about what time the food went out!

Ordered a takeout for 3 people, 2 burgers & 1 kebab the order was estimated for 45 mins but after 2 chase up calls came after 1 he 45 min with no offer of discount or apologies, food was average. I won’t bother in future

Hot shot was very bare , not at all hot and too salty . Other one was bland too. Needs some attention to flavour and amount of toppings . Pretty disappointed

I used this place as The Band is closed. There is a risk trying new places but the lady on the phone spoke native English which always makes ordering easier, and the delivery was within predicted time.

Well it was our first time ordering from this place as we just moved here. We ordered a kids chicken nuggies and chips, and a meal deal. We were absolutely starving and we got the kids meal and we’re disappointed to see only 5 (not 6)chicken nuggets she is crying and was looking forward to them. The drink was warmer than Spain and the lollipop was melted. Disappointed. Food was nice tho but here’s the worst part we asked for garlic and you will never believe what we got..... absolutely no garlic sauce. All had to be eaten dry so we won’t be blessing this place with our grace again. 3 star review. Amen from ur local hippies!

Donner and chips spot on but both kids disappointed at the fact they only got a few chicken nuggets, after reading up you have changed your wording, sneaky, like when you put all your prices up and reduced the direct ordering discount. This was a treat for them more than anything, trying to support local businesses. Will be going to la unica in future.

Service appalling. Ordered on the app, with a special instruction. When our (lukewarm) food arrived my pizza had the item I’d requested not to have all over it. I rang and was told that I hadn’t asked for no mushrooms, until she double checked and admitted she hadn’t seen it. They would send a replacement. I assumed that this would be cooked and sent straight out bearing in mind it was their error. After 40 minutes I phoned and asked where my pizza was and was told it was out with the driver but with 5 other orders.... I gave it another 20 minutes (so now 1 hr 40 since ordering and 1 hr since requesting a correct pizza). Still no pizza. Phoned back and requested a refund which I literally had to jump through hoops for. Won’t be back.

BBQ chicken pizza and chicken doner wrap with fries amazing. Best we've had for along time. Highly recommend.

Great quality, as always. I ordered the chicken kebab and my partner had the Meat Eaters pizza with a BBQ base and stuffed crust. The kebab portions are very generous! The chicken was tender and well-seasoned, and the salad was fresh and complemented the meat perfectly. The pizzas are always generously topped with delicious toppings. Prompt delivery and piping hot food that hits the spot on those evenings you just can't bring yourself to cook.

When to here every night for something to eat tables and chairs available to get out of the rain lovely food and reasonable prices depending what you buy they do the garlic mayonnaise and the yoghurt source

I got really disappointed with that pizza. I asked for chicken and corn. I could count the corn in one hand, besides the dry chicken and hard dough, and I couldn't even feel the cheese. Looked like a bad market pizza

Chicken kebab was good, but bolognese pizza, tasted like cheese and kebab meat, nothing like bolognese. Place is clean and staff friendly.

Sorry about this review because I really hate writing bad remarks. I once telephoned La Plaza when I got a takeaway for me and my son. I believe in giving praise when it is due and we had the best pizzas ever. However - we have just had a takeaway and I am afraid it all ended up in the bin. Had a garlic bread pizza with tomato - it was terrible. We had lasagne which was a little better but very mushy. The female that served me didn't smile and obviously had an attitude problem. I do apologise for such a bad report but it was terrible food and what happened to "service with a smile"?

Hadn't used this place for a while as last time we ordered the pizza must have been carried sideways and the topping had slid off. Tried again and exactly the same thing has happened! The topping tasted lovely but wasn't quite the experience we were looking for. Base was thrown away. Still hungry!

Always been fine with laplza, but on our last occasion my partner got food poisoning from the Donna meat.

Absolutely gutted. Had a few little errors but for the amount of orders I've placed that have been spot on it's not been a problem. Today though when ordered asked if the sharing mixed kebabs came with salad and was told yes. When we collected the order and got home missing sauces and salad and pizza not what i asked for. After all the years I've been ordering from you, they have bow lost my custom.

Ordered from here tonight for the 1st time in a long time,will be giving it a miss from now on,I ordered a meat feast pepperoni ham salami and chips with season salt It was very bog standard if that,the pizza didn't taste and there was no salami so it was just pepperoni and canned chunks of ham,the seasoning salt wasn't seasoning salt tasted of tomato cup a soup,I asked for a new menu on the phone and asked how much it would be it came to £10.10 when the man got to the door it was £11.50 I added it up on the menu it was neither £10.10p or £11.50 Very standard al be giving this spot a creeping 3 Bog

Nothing particularly stands out about this place, it's just a bog-standard multi-style takeaway with pizzas, burgers, kebabs and chicken. Food appears routine standard and prices are reasonable. Chips are those tasteless, spindly things called 'fries' which go soggy very quickly. Worth a visit if everywhere else is closed.

Ordered from here many times, ordered tonight and it was really disappointing! Ordered our food, and picked it up, went into the shop to wait for it as we were early. Took it home, one of the wraps ordered had salad in it which we asked for no salad.. it's quite simple. And neither of the orders were hot ,they were just luke warm , given that we were early we expected a hot order?! Genuinely disappointed tonight.

Absolute vile ! Reheated chips! Tasteless pizza . Grease bread , it tasted deep fried ! Spoilt my day !
