Filey in Scarborough

I’m never one to write reviews but I had to with this one. Never had a worse takeaway, soggy chips bland, dry pizza bland, however the sauces were actually pretty good. Ordered a few nights ago and won’t be ordering again.

Cold food. All of the sauces spilt all over the bag causing everything to be soggy and sticky.

The greasiest food we have ever had. Was not able to eat it. I had large kebab that was rather small. Kids had kebab burger and chicken. All were swimming in grease. Needed loads of kitchen towel and couldn’t grip our cans of drink. Was disgusting. The chips were ok though. The delivery guy wasn’t too friendly either. I will never order from this shop again. We come to Filey once a month but will make a point of remembering not to order from here again. I’ve put three stars for service as the food did arrive earlier than estimated.

ordered a delivery once i finished work at about half 12 ish, they didn’t ring the doorbell and was estimated to come at 1.15ish. walked too my front door too check(was 1.30 at the time) and it was stood on my door matt sat there cold, god knows how long it was out there for… not a good experience

Staying at Primrose Valley, ordered from here and it was best food we’ve had. Delivered straight to caravan door too! 10/10

Do not order from Clayton bay caravan park I recommend somewhere closer to you like east field The food during travel becomes very soggy most of it was bland and binned Pizza was terrible when reached us Garlic bread zero taste Chips soggy but was able to eat a few of them Order closer to ya destination because you will be wasting money or face disappointment

After travelling a long way to visit Filey, we luckily found this place. We were tired & hungry walked in & received a really friendly welcome. We had a mixed grill & a pizza for our son.. all super tasty, possibly one of the nicest kebabs I’ve had. Thank you guys for feeding us & being so friendly.

Absolutely rank. Greasy pizza. Ordered cheesy curly fries and no cheese on them whatsoever. Pizza base wasn't even cooked. Couldn't eat it. So disappointed

I was unsure whether to order after reading some other reviews but I was very happy with the pizza and chips we ordered. The order arrived on time, tasted very good.

Well firstly I'm not one to write bad reviews but this really needs saying. I really wish I had read some of these reviews before ordering from here. We've travelled around the country and tried many takeaways but this is by far the worst We've ever tried. We gave it a try as the leaflet was posted to our caravan on the haven blue dolphin site. We spent over £28 and what a waste of money. We barely ate any of it. The kebabs on pitta bread literally were ON pitta. The pitta bread was underneath the meat and salad so by the time you got to it, it was hard and stale. I say salad it was a bit of lettuce on top of the meat that definitely was not fresh. The yoghurt sauce was literally just yoghurt. Not a yoghurt sauce. And the pakoras were so hard I was afraid I'd break my jaw. On top of that my husband had to meet them at the gate. So you can deliver leaflets but not the food. Right OK. Definitely would not recommend. Waste of money.

Waited 3hrs for our food to be delivered which is ridiculous. Unfortunately it wasn’t worth the wait. Small portions, bland and overpriced. Avoid at all costs.

We waited for 2.5 hours in total, and the food never arrived. Was probably lovely, for who ever ate it!

Ordered my food at 8.30pm and didn’t receive it until 10.50pm, not only did I have to wait an hour and 45 minutes originally it was also 40 minutes late which is not good by any standards, and no refund was offered, whether it was or partial!!!!

Fantastic kebab we had chicken and a chicken and Donner kebab salad and sauce were all very fresh, the chicken was the best chicken in a kebab I have had! pizza was great also. staff was very helpful and polite, would highly recommend and will be using them again.

Ordered food last night to save time. Only problem when it turned up we were short of a burger when I rang they said I hadn’t ordered one but delivered one later. The kebabs said all sauce and meat in a pitta, instead it came thrown on the top not very good to have to make your own. Steer clear 👎

Best kebab in Filey without a doubt. The sauce was incredible. I would definitely recommend a mixed kebab from here.

We ordered on a Tuesday evening at 6.45pm as we had a menu posted through ourt holiday home door on the bay Foley holiday village, the ordering process through phone was easy enough once we heard each other due to patchy signal 😂 prices are a, bit on the steep side but looks to have lots of variety, typical kebab house / pizza and burger fast food place with a few extras . The pizzas are not stone baked which was disappointing 😂 we ordered a kids meal two pizzas and a chicken wrap along with a chips and cheese. Everything was tasty enough. Delivery was promised asap within the hour and came about 1hr 10min after ordering. Food was hot though but unfortunatelyd service was not with a smile .

I ordered a chicken wrap and chips a large kebab meat and chips and a standard kebab and chips for £33, the difference between the two meat and chips was poor for £10 I expected a lot more for a large meal,the portion size was very small, the food wasn't warm at all , considering this costs £33 it's probably the worst takeaway I've had in ages I'm not impressed at all and if this a sample of there food I won't be ordering from here again. very very poor.

waited 2 and a half hours for it and it said on just eat it had been delivered rang the restaurant which said it was on its way and took another hour and it didn't taste nice at all

Ordered via phone, food arrived within an hour. All the order was there. Food was great, tasted lovely. One of the best kababs I have had. Also got the 10 inch Kiev pizza which was amazing. Would recommend.

Hardly not meat what so ever and 9 mins late

Portion size is tiny. Food was cold. Got cheesy chips and cheese was overcooked it was that solid could have used it a brick! Would never use again. Disgusting. Wouldn’t even serve it to my dog.

Food ready on time. Pizzas weren’t amazing. Everything slightly overcooked. Kebab was quite small for the price

30 minutes late. Pizza dough wasn't cooked all the way through, cheese overcooked so all 3 pizzas looked brown and difficult to tell what toppings were on. Lacking in taste. Parmo was a flat disc of chicken rather than a chicken breast that was also overcooked and had burnt edges. Don't waste your money.

Food came early (20mins) after a scheduled time , then re sent the same food and said it was fresh but the food box’s came soggy and the food was cold .

Nice chicken kebab full of flavour and fresh. Kids Pizza was standard but tasted nice and not greasy. Chilli sauce nice and spicy.

When the food arrived it was cold and was delivered 1 hour and 45 minutes after we’d ordered, despite the 1 hour delivery time advised.

The delivery time at the point of ordering, to that when the order was received was very different. Then it was late. Over 2 hours wait for food. I did call the restaurant, who said while they were busy it wouldn't be as long as it stated, else I would of cancelled.

We were told it would be half an hour ended up taking 1 and a half and didn’t get pizza till 21:45 we also rang up and they were really rude

Absolutely rubbish it was cold, I ordered chicken and chips and a mixed kebab with separate sauce. The chicken was like ( like road kill ) the chips were soggy, the kebab was dry it had the a drop of sauce on it which I asked for separate, saying it was a mixed kebab that's a understatement I had two bits of shish rest donner meat. Definitely won't be ordering from here again. I would like a refund please.

It was actually ridiculous! The pizza and chips were oily and the coleslaw literally look like sick. I don’t understand how you can mess up simple food and serve it like that.

ordered from the foodhub app, for the order to get accepted quite quickly for the delivery to then take over 2 hours! i rang up multiple times, the first time for then to say it was on the way and then next to say its going to be another 30 minutes! when the food finally arrived the potion was disgraceful soggy and cold! i am extremely disappointed, and can say with my chest i will never be using again.

Awful. The worst takeaway pizza I’ve had for a longtime. The pizza was too overcooked. Served with soggy undercooked chips. It’s ended up in the bin as couldn’t eat it.

Ordered from this place as we're not local and this was closest. Upon opening my doner kebab I noticed a nice long something I did not ask for when placing the order. Nothing tastes better than a long hair in your food!

Ordered from them twice for collection as we're visiting in Reighton Sands Caravan park. Pizzas was nice and kebab was lovely. If you wish to order try using their website rather than food hub etc as prices are cheaper on there.

Delivery driver was lovely. However, I ordered a parmo and it was NOT a parmo! It was a dry chicken base with cheese on top. Parmos are meant to have bechamel sauce but genuinely this was dry chicken with cheese on top. I wish I was joking. I absolutely love parmos and was so disappointed. Do not get a parmo!!!!

Food good only issue is trying to get a delivery in busy caravan season we live locally and ysed for about 8 years

Can't comment on atmosphere as home delivery. Initial delivery was 4/5 based only on small detail. Fed that back next order, problem sorted. In 7 nights I ate there 4 times, so that speaks for itself. First class, highly recommend. 👍

Meh it was ok, my boyfriend enjoyed his kebab but we were hammered so understandable. I had the nuggets and chips, the chips were great however I’m not sure If it was the batter or the oil the nuggets were fried in. But they tasted gross I couldn’t even eat one. Good job I ordered some chocolate cake, which was delicious btw. Oh and I also ordered 2 mayo dips. You give me garlic mayo.

Quality not very clever Put in hot food and cold salad doesn’t really work , ordered from there, quite often not normally a problem. Salad comes in a separate container. Not in the same container as the meat. quantity size very small , must be cutting back and very disappointed,

Ordered takeaway delivery to Reighton sands holiday park. We spent £75 online, waited 1 hour but no food arrived. After 3 phone calls the food eventually arrived 2 hours later. Food was lukewarm and greasy. Tasteless pizzas. Really kit worth a 2 hour wait!!

We ordered the food for the last night of our holiday only to have to wait 2hours for it to be delivered. We had already been waiting ages so rang up and they said it would be here in a minute and then had to wait another hour before we actually got the food. When it was delivered the food was not good at all, it was tasteless greasy and overall not pleasant. I would not recommend this restaurant. Don’t be fooled by the cheap prices and photos on the website.
