Rude manager, way better places on Lark Lane.

Food was amazing and service was great, will definitely be coming back here.

Considering we came to celebrate a birthday, the waitress was extremely cold from the moment we walked in which made us feel really uncomfortable. The drinks were very weak. They had run out of a certain ingredient to make the pina colada and did not tell us they replaced the drink with something else until we asked why it tasted the way it did. No apology or rectification was made. The best thing was the calamari.

Great place if you’re after a sit down bottle of Modelo! But that’s about it. Very strange service - The young waiters were trying their best and were very friendly. But the fella who seemed to be the manager was extremely rude to his staff, he would command them to do something and then call them insults behind their backs after they had walked off. He also had no time for customers. Maybe he was having a bad day, but it was still unacceptable. The service was also very slow, and it wasn’t even busy. Food was decent. Would get it as takeaway, but would never sit in again.

Fantastic evening. Food was delicious an portion sizes were ample. Server was entertaining and just the right amount of attentive. An extra surprise was the close up magic provided by a lovely guy. All made for a really wonderful evening. Will definately be back

Nothing special tbh for the price no seasoning tasted in the fajitas meat a bit chewy and the drinks very overpriced. £7.90 for a large coke mainly ice ! Wouldn't rush back if I'm honest. The decor was nice but the food wasn't the most authentic or flavoured?

Disappointing visit to this restaurant after hoping to finally find a half decent Mexican restaurant. Sadly nothing in here is authentic. From the tortilla chips that tasted store bought to the plain guacamole that was flavourless and no spice to it. These are both basic staple dishes that should always be good… The mains were edible but again they didn’t have anything Mexican about them, the fajitas were fine but the quality of the meat was poor with the chicken being chewy and flavourless, no spice to it. The steak wasn’t bad but nothing to go crazy about, especially for the price. The staff was fine, just seemed unbothered. The decor was fine but the overall atmosphere didn’t feel authentic most likely because there was Eastern European music playing… This sounds like a weird complaint but the music made the whole experience feel even more unauthentic. As a Polish person myself, I’d rather listen to some Mexican music that’s for sure. Only thing we liked was the drinks, nice pina colada’s. I wouldn’t recommend this if you actually want authentic Mexican cuisine.

Fantastic experiences, would strongly recommend visiting. Staff were very friendly, service was excellent, food was amazing and the atmosphere was out of this world.

We went late afternoon on a Wednesday. The food was incredible and our waiter, Lewis, was fantastic and a real character 👏. Definitely going back soon.

We usually go to the same tried and tested restaurant on the lane. Today we decided to stroll along the lane and read the menus outside from other restaurants. La Parrrilla made us hover a bit longer as there was an early bird menu, and it looked appealing in taste and value. We gave it a shot and it didn't disappoint one bit! Not sure if it was the owner or manager who took our order but he was fab, very knowledgeable on his menu and very friendly. Me and my partner discussed privately how his commitment and passion for this place came across in abundance. After having a beautiful little teapot of good quality tea, we ate our food. We were so impressed by its presentation, beautiful taste and generous quantity. We took half of it home and enjoyed it for supper. Lovely ambience, the young lads serving were so polite, friendly, well mannered and courteous. I've already recommended it to our family whattsapp group tonight. We're glad we tried it out. We ordered a delivery from La Parrilla. If the amount of meat you're served is your only measure of how good a meal is, then this is the place for you. Everything else about the food was dire. The only thing mexican about the meals are the names, not the flavours. We ordered two burritos and the homemade "fries".

Because we were early, we had the early bird option, which meant that even with the extra you pay for a steak, a 16oz Argentinean steak Diane with a starter was under £20. And it was delicious, as was ALL the food the four of us ordered. Fantastic atmosphere on this street, too. Absolutely loved it.

I want to leave a review about a wonderful waitress named Maria. She served us on Saturday. Very sweet, pleasant and friendly girl. She was very attentive to us. She recommended us what we should try from their menu and it was vey delicious. Maria is absolutely in her place! The food was also very tasty!

So the food is nice however we were served RAW Calamari. I have spent the last two days now on the toilet. When we told the manager he made a joke about it, blamed us that we ordered it too late so they didn't have time to defrost it and said he would knock ot off the bill. I wanted to say you should be knocking it all off for serving us poisonous seafood but I couldn't be bothered. When we left he joked saying he might give us a table next time as long as we pre book, (there was a lot of empty tables), he was trying to be funny and deflecting the fact he's potentially poisoned 3 people, I replied saying well if we do I hope you cook our food properly next time. I won't be going back.

This place has a real nice authentic vibe. Our waiter was a real nice guy, made jokes with my son and made us feel very welcome and comfortable. Our food was terrific, real hearty portions and delicious. We visit all 3 of these restaurants and each of them are superb.

Stunning food but what was best about this place was the service. Joel, one of the managers was great. He made sure I felt safe with my allergy order. Which a lot of restaurants still struggle to get right. The margaritas were delicious. All the team were friendly and really looked after us. We’ll definitely visit again. Such a great venue on Lark Lane.

First time here have been to the other branch in bold St food was amazing there were 6of us all enjoyed it food came out so we could eat together and monkfish was amazing can't wait to go back .service was great 💯 Maria joe and others were all top tbh havnt had service like it for a very long time ambience n atmosphere was lovely thanks guys

We went down to La Parrila on Lark Lane on Friday for my 50th birthday dinner. It's been under new management for a few weeks now and we were invited along to try it out. WOW what a great night! Lovely place which gives off great vibes, great food, amazing service. We decided to go tapas and had a couple of small plates eat to share (which actually turned out to be really big small plates! The food was exceptional and I particularly loved you can ask them to prepare it all as mild or as spicy as you wish. Some decent draught lagers and a couple of lovely bottles of wine and we were all having a great time. Then to finish Joel the manager brought us over some tequila slammers to share and an AMAZING spicy cocktail just for me. Loved it. Thanks so much for looking after us all so well and we can't wait to be back soon!

I highly recommend a visit to La Parilla. We had a great birthday celebration there this evening. There was a fun atmosphere and the service provided by Katie, Adam, Lara and Joel was attentive and helpful and really enhanced the dining experience. The food was delicious too. We loved the Mexican hats! Thanks so much to all the team for making it a memorable evening.

We ordered from here tonight, there was a mix up through deliveroo, I spoke to lewis and he went out of his way to get the correct food to me within 15 mins himself. We are regulars here and all the food is always lovely, sitting in or delivery. Best mexican scran around!

Great location, vibrant atmosphere, delicious Mexican inspired menu, attentive staff. A good place for lunch to take advantage of their early bird deal. Fresh and well seasoned food. Potato Skins - the salt and creaminess of the bacon topped potato skins really compliments the sweet and crisp salad that accompanied them. Enchiladas - one of my comfort foods. Well seasoned filling (with some heat), served in soft tortillas, with additional rice and refried beans. A hearty dish!

Absolutely incredible, I had the pulled chicken burrito and had the biggest portion size I’ve had for the value of money anywhere in liverpool. 10/10 recommend and will be coming back!

Took my daughter there for a birthday meal. Lovely place with friendly staff. Its was a difficult choice what to have as so many nice thing on the menu. The food was excellent. I can recommend the chicken wings and the Burrito.

I just had lunch here, and something i have to say, the food’s flavour is on the right path😍 the guacamole and taquitos were really really good (trust me as easy as it is, people still don’t get it right)🤦🏽‍♀️ Although i ordered Spicy Prawn Cocktail and got lettuce with what seemed pico de gallo and king prawns on top, dont get me wrong, flavour was good! But I expected a prawn cocktail nevertheless. I think that music wise, since it’s a Mexican restaurant I believe it should be proper mexican classics, any other languages speakers know what they are getting into anyways 😂 and big Shoutout to Ellie (not sure if spelled right) But such a bubbly girl, always checking up everything was up to my tastes 😍 I would come back! 👌🏽

I’d recommend checking out this Mexican restaurant if you’re looking for somewhere to enjoy a delicious, flavourful meal on Lark Lane! They have a great deals for Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesday for dinner .. 2 courses for 14.95. We enjoyed the chicken nachos and halloumi fingers as appetizers and we had the spicy chicken enchilada and vegetable and halloumi fajitas. The vegetable and halloumi fajitas were out of this world! 10/10 would recommend visiting this place!

Hate leaving bad reviews but this had to be done. The worst ‘Mexican’ food we’ve ever had. Couldn’t even eat the food it was so bad, felt sorry for the waiters leaving it all but was terrible and overpriced.

We have been to your restaurant on other occasions, both on Lark Lane and in Crosby with family and friends. Unfortunately, last Thursday, July 20th, around 8 pm, we (a couple) had dinner at your restaurant and it was terrible, we certainly won't go to your restaurant anymore and we won't recommend it anymore either. In the place where we work we always recommend your restaurant, but we haven't been there for some time and it was a disappointment. We went there for t-bone which we always have and which was good and fresh and this time it wasn't good. In addition to not being t-bone, which we insisted on mentioning several times that we wanted to, the meat did not seem fresh, but rather as if it had been frozen for a long time, the taste was not good and it was not well prepared, the potatoes we didn't like either, the tiny starter didn't either, the paint (beer) was flat like tea and the diet coke also flat. During the meal, someone usually comes to ask if everything is ok and if we like it, it was always like that when an employee called Maria worked there and she was impeccable. As no one asked anything, at the end when we went to pay the bill we made our complaint and showed our displeasure and disappointment, the two girls, one of whom is even very nice, said if we wanted to talk to the manager, we said no, because honestly after saying what we said and showing our displeasure the manager should have come to us and not us to go to her. As we were very hungry we ate even without the desired quality, we paid around 62.00 which is absurd for what we ate and drank, a drink each of us, a starter of squid and those two t-bones. We still think that most places forget that customers pay workers' wages and that without customers there are no bosses, businesses and workers. We feel that there is always a certain disregard here in Liverpool in relation to the greater good “in the business” that is the customer, without him the business does not exist. When we arrived, the restaurant on the esplanade was more or less full, the girl who served us didn't seem very happy to see more customers and this is something that always causes us a lot of confusion. See if you have the capacity to serve a certain number of customers and with the due respect and quality that the customer deserves, because for us money costs a lot to earn, even a lot to earn in the hard work we do and when we go to a place like this it is to be happy and not sad and disappointed. At the end I also went to the toilet and the state I was in was frightening. Humble and personal opinion, look inside your business, analyze with eyes to see what's wrong and correct it, I think we deserve the best because when we pay we don't owe and the bills are increasingly salty. Thanks.

Defo the best Mexican restaurant I’ve ever been to and I’ve been to Mexico! Vibrant decor and attentive, efficient staff. Our choice of spicy chicken wings, burrito, swordfish, shoulder of lamb and wedges was wholeheartedly enjoyed by all the family. I have to add that the portions where plat filled and all cooked perfectly. We certainly would recommend La Parrilla to anyone and look forward to our next visits 😎🇦🇩

I was pleasantly surprised by the hospitality and the kindness by the staff. We ordered our food and asked the staff if we could move on to the next table once customers would go. Staff absolutely great they said that it shouldn't be an issue. Quite a few people would ask for the same table, however our waitress (Chloe) remembered us and took us to our table. The place is amazing, stellar service, great food, atmosphere was ten out of ten, everyone was just so kind and friendly! Definitely will be back, and of course I'd recommend it 1000000%

Shared a 5 course tapas, skewers,ribs, potato skins, quesadillas, taquitos. Plenty of food, all really tasty, waiter very friendly. All sat in the sun in the road.

Ordered via Deliveroo. The burritos arrived as a soggy congealed mess with side portions of a teaspoon of spicy rice and refried beans. Their "veggie chilli" consists of huge chunks of courgette shoved in a sauce over-spiced with cumin inside a soggy nasty oversized burrito. Such a shame. Won't order again.

We ordered a jug of sangria and a corona. Sangria was perfect. Then we ordered tapas. We got chicken wings, best I have ever tasted. Hummus and chips were amazing. Garlic bread with cheese best I have ever tasted. Could not fault the service or the staff. Can’t wait to come back!

It was Saturday evening we were taken to are table by the window but after a few minutes we realised it was really cold we asked staff was there any heating she said we can move to another table were there was a heater which was the only one but being on the wall and was blowing outwards my wife didn't fel any heat what so ever she was cold all the time we had are meal the staff were great the food was excellent but the fact that you would have to leave your coat on to keep warm is not my idea of a nice dining experience I would not go back only in the warmer weather

We went for Sunday Lunch 19 Feb. Food was excellent tasty and authentic... we had the specials menu and were impressed by the variety on offer. The swordfish was particularly good. The service was fist class ... welcoming, helpful and the staff seemed genuinely pleased to be of assistance. I Would highly recommend this place.

Food was fine but prices quite high for quality/portion. Paid at counter so we weren’t actually given a bill. Once we left we realised we’d been overcharged approx £10.

The worst restaurant ever. Before ordering my food I've made it clear to the staff that I cannot eat spicy. My food came spicy and I couldn't eat it. in the end, they said that because they've tried to do it not spicy, I would have to pay it anyway. Didn't eat and paid for it. A joke!

Really enjoyed this place, great tex mex food, friendly service and nice drinks too! Just be warned, the burritos are HUGE! I couldn't finish mine and that's very unusual! Tasted amazing though!

Went here a few weeks back with a friend for some lunch, and the food was full of flavour and very satisfying, and a big enough portion that I had to take some home. And the staff couldn't have been any friendlier and welcoming! They also do delicious cocktails!
