Brilliant atmosphere, and lovely service aswell as amazing food. Really enjoyed bringing my boyfriend and parents here to enjoy the food.

Food was amazing, staff was fantastic had a really nice time. Was brilliant. Will 100% be coming back to enjoy again thank you.

Unfortunately we were very disappointed! I had planned to take my partner for his birthday in August but they were closed for summer holidays so we were looking forward to going once they opened. The starter Paella only had one prawn in it( it said seafood on the menu) the chicken was processed pieces of chicken, who cooks with processed chicken in restaurants!!!! The chicken in garlic was SO dry. The Gambas was nice and the salad. We were absolutely gutted. The food was so bad being a Spanish local place to go to and my partner being half Spanish. And then a bill of £100 nowadays you wanna go out and get food when you’re paying more money won’t be going back there again.

We had a fabulous dinner at La Paëlla last night. We shared Whitebait and Tortilla Espanola, followed by the most gorgeous mixed paella. The wine and coffee were very good and it was lovely to meet Miguel. Thanks for a great evening. Hasta la prossima! Mark and Anne.

Has become one of, if not the, most favoured restaurants in London. Food is so good and very reasonably priced. The owner is also lovely and so welcoming. Always a great experience whenever we go.

Great all round. Enjoyed everything. Service and atmosphere very good. Nice range of drinks, great selection of wines and San Miguel on draft etc. We were a party of 2 adults and 1 14 yo. We ordered a selection of 9 tapas. All were really good, from Tortilla to fish cakes all were really good and freshly cooked. Even had a couple of desserts at the end of evening which were also great and a big thumbs up from my daughter to the churros. Thankfully I’m local so look forward to next visit.

Very well located, close to Southgate Tube. There is a wide range of tapas or indeed you can share a paella. This is my 5th visit and I am never disappointed. The house rioja is excellent value.

We had a selection of tapas and paella for the main course, which were better than expected, especially the freshness of the ingredients, truly delicious!

Menu is extensive and always ask for the specials! You will not be disappointed. Nothing beats a home made chocolate orange bread and butter pudding! Service is friendly and very accommodating.

I love this place. The tapas (we got artichokes, eggplant, and chorizo), paella (seafood & squid ink,), and dessert (crema Catalana and bread pudding) were all wonderful. Lovely atmosphere

Very average food lacking flavour, spices nothing very Spanish. Portion quite small . We were the only 5 in the restaurant so chef wasn't rushed but food felt rushed and cooked without care .

We had our 2nd visit to La Paella last weekend and just like the first time, the food is absolutely amazing, authentic and incredibly tasty. Very reasonably priced for the portion sizes and great wine also available. Highly recommended!

I had lunch with a friend at La Paella yesterday. The tapas we had were excellent with plenty of choice for a vegetarian like myself and we both had the delicious almond tart (I think 'tarta de santiago') to finish. The atmosphere is relaxed and friendly and a good place to go for a chat over a meal with a friend. The prices are very reasonable. I'm a devotee of anything Spanish, and for me this is definitely the best Spanish restaurant I have visited.

Diverse menu, and very tasty food. Especially enjoyed the fried courgettes with honey. I wouldn’t bother with the calamari again- that was factory produced, but the other dishes were delicious. Had an interesting dessert, too. Staff are charming and helpful.

We popped in here on the off-chance on Saturday and we’re warmly greeted and provided with superb food! A such authentic spot for delicious tapas and very nice wine - plus plenty of Pedro Ximenez! Thanks guys for a lavverly meal and we hope to return in the future 👍🏻

Brilliant place for tapas - such a wide selection and amazingly tasty. You can get main dishes too. Suitable for all ages and tastes. Sangria particularly delicious and the churros excellent. You’ll love it and keep going back. Try it yourself and you’ll keep going back. 5*

Me and my girlfriend went to this lovely and cosy Spanish restaurant all from South London for paella. It was totally worth it. One of the best paella I've had. The personell was really nice and came to the table for one or two chats. After our delicious paella and crema catalana we received a small drink from the bar for travelling all a cross London. Would really recommend if you want a quick trip from reality :)

Visited La Paella with my family. The service was great and the food was even better. Even my son (aged 11) who had never tried tapas before loved it. The food was fresh, cooked well and full of flavour. We will definitely be back.

This is our go to restaurant in Southgate. We always have a good meal. We have been to other tapas restaurants but none are as good as La Paella.

I just took my little sister out for a final meal before lockdown and the first waiter was very cold but fine (meh). But then when we were about to leave the older waiter, who skipped our table but checked on every other one, looked at us rudely and then said we can’t pay with contactless if we don’t spend £20 even though there were no signs and we were never told this before sitting down. He said ‘this is a restaurant not a café young ladies’ in a very condescending and rude way and scoffed at us. It was a terrible experiencing and even though liked the food, we won’t be going back. It’s a shame as we live like one minute away. It almost felt quite sexist or ageist as we are quite young women and none of the older guests were treated like that- he smiled and made jokes at them.

Love this restaurant. The food is delicious & the staff couldn't be nicer. I'm looking forward to my next visit already!

Visited recently for a Birthday brunch. Service was brilliant, the food was top notch and the Prosecco was lovely! Will definitely be going again to try all the other yummy tapas I couldn't fit in!

Disfrutamos mucho de la paella de carne, alubias blancas y gambas al ajillo el lunes 31 de agosto de 2020 para cenar a las 7. 30 hs. Estamos seguros de que esta cocina familiar prepara auténtica comida española con dedicación. Pero es una vergüenza que el señor mayor que sirve las mesas y prepara las facturas tenga una mala actitud hacia el servicio al cliente, desprevenido y cínico. Esto echa a perder todo el esfuerzo que hace la cocina para garantizar que la comida sea de primera. Es como si hubiera estado sirviendo mesas durante demasiados años y necesitara hacer otra cosa. Pero no lo desquites con los clientes. Solo perjudicará el negocio de este restaurante familiar. Definitivamente no volveremos para otra porción de mala actitud, a pesar de que disfrutamos mucho de la comida y es convenientemente local de donde vivimos.Ah, y la estación de desinfectante de manos debe contener realmente desinfectante de manos para mantener seguros a los clientes con Covid. No es lo suficientemente bueno como para tener solo uno para que lo use el personal del bar

Great to be back, 1st time since lockdown. Same high quality food, friendly service. Not busy which is a shame because it is a such a lovely place for lunch, although we normally visit for dinner.

Vamos a La Paella todos los años para reunirnos con nuestros amigos de todo Londres. Es un ambiente realmente bueno. El personal es amable y muy atento. La comida era excelente, la paella de verduras y carne sabía muy bien y la porción era realmente buena, estaba lleno al final de la comida, pero aún así estaba tentado por los churros y el chocolate, que fue el final perfecto para la noche. . Lo recomiendo mucho.

La comida estaba bien, pero nuestro camarero, un anciano, básicamente nos apresuraba a ordenar con una actitud apestosa.Cuando llegó la factura, mi hermana y yo queríamos dividir la factura, que era más de 10 cada uno (es parte del esquema Amex que nos acreditará 5 a cada uno si usamos tarjetas separadas).Nuestro camarero fue tan grosero e impaciente y dijo que tiene que ser un gasto mínimo de 20 por tarjeta y cuando tratamos de explicarle que no escuchaba y seguía diciendo por qué no entendíamos y cuál era nuestro problema.Verifiqué esto con American Express, quien dijo que esto era ridículo y que el gasto mínimo no es 20.Evite este restaurante a toda costa. El camarero obviamente mintió y no se preocupó por el servicio al cliente. . . .

Mal servicio (hecho para que se sienta más como una obligación que como un cliente por parte de la persona que aloja). Comida mediocre y esa sensación de que a nadie le importa. Mesero presenció la limpieza de la mesa de manera superficial (solo se limpió la mitad de la mesa después del servicio). No volveré a ir allí con prisa, aunque local.

Cinco de nosotros (amigos, de 5 hogares diferentes) fuimos a almorzar.El dueño quiso colocarnos en una mesa para 6, tocándonos hombro con hombro, y perdió los estribos con nosotros cuando intentamos dejar una silla vacía entre vecinos.No se establecieron medidas mejoradas. No usó máscara en ningún momento.Cuando llegó el momento de pagar la cuenta, no nos proporcionó el menú solicitado repetidamente para que pudiéramos pagar por nosotros mismos o verificar el descuento gubernamental del 50%. Tuvimos que adivinar cuánto debería pagar cada uno de nosotros. Dos o tres entraron a menos de 10, y él insistió (en contra del consejo del gobierno) que se pagara en efectivo porque opera un gasto mínimo de 10, aunque fácilmente podríamos haber reorganizado los pagos si nos hubieran dicho.El peor servicio que he tenido, en cualquier lugar y en cualquier momento. Seguridad de los clientes. dio toda la apariencia de ser sacrificado con fines de lucro.Todos hemos dicho que nunca más vendremos aquí.

Este restaurante ha existido en el área durante décadas; es bueno apoyar algo local y algo que no es solo una cadena corporativa, sino que ofrece una experiencia única.La comida estaba deliciosa, pedí la paella que es bastante abundante y muy bien presentada, y algunas tapas, incluido el pulpo (un favorito personal).Ambiente agradable y cerveza de barril que siempre es refrescante en el calor del verano.

Was lovely, only thing was, they brought out hot tapas before giving us our warm bread and olives. when we requested the bread as all the hot dishes was coming out and still no bread and olives, we asked for the bread and the server came over and said another bread, we said no we haven’t had it yet. We never got the olives, but besides this the food is nice and I enjoyed my evening

Nice to see my favourite Tapas Restaurant open again after these difficult times.Covid19 guidelines are being followed to the best of their abilities.Half the clientele means twice as much work which they’re are compensating for half the tables.Felt safe bringing my family for a lovely and pleasant evening meal.

A family run restaurant for over 20 years, this is our go-to place for a quick tasty meal out. So nice to be back after lockdown now that it's reopened. The open shutters give the place a decent amount of air. Tables have been removed for extra space and tables were disinfected regularly as well as the menus. The restaurant was very busy and customers had to be turned away so as to avoid overcrowding. Good for meat eaters as well as vegetarians as there are so many options.

The waiter missed a an order on our starters which mean't as a family we did not eat together. The sangria is more water than wine. The main meal of paella was ok but not anything to write home about. We were charged £6 for 4 slices of bread ! Distancing and hygiene - there was no SD. I could rest my elbows on the table next to me. The waiters had clearly never heard of SD given how close they would come to speak to you - to the extent I had to lean back when speaking to them to create some distance. They wore no gloves or face masks and the cutlery was handled with their bare hands. It was appalling. To compare a week earlier we ate at Le Petit Aubergine in Cockfosters. The waiters wore masks and gloves. They were conscious of how they handled the utensils and food. Overall I would give La Paella Tapas a miss.

We ate here this evening. There was no social distancing in terms of a reasonable distance between tables. I could touch the table next to me with my elbow. The waiters wore no face masks nor wore rubber gloves. The waiter was in my face all the time so much so I had to lean back when he dealing with him.The food is another issue but the safety precautions they advertise do not reflect any reality. We were very disappointed with the service. Moreso as the food and service was sub par.

Great Spanish food with excellent service. We loved the surroundings that felt very Spanish and it is was particularly lovely having all the windows completely open on such a hot day. Would highly recommend.

Nos saludaron calurosamente y pedimos una botella de vino de una encantadora selección de vinos españoles.El vino estaba a temperatura ambiente y muy agradable. Pedimos 5 platos de tappas diferentes, eran muy frescos y agradablemente presentados.¡Comentamos que nos hubiera gustado tener un restaurante como este cerca de nosotros en casa! We had a great family dinner there. The food was very good indeed. Service was good. My only slight gripe was the toilets were not super clean with a stale / moldy smell, and towards the end of the meal I started to be able to smell that smell faintly at the table — I hope it was coming from the toilets and not the kitchen... (no negative effects felt afterward by any of our party)

Went out for dinner last night with friends to La Paella in Southgate, our favourite restaurant in north London. Run by a Spanish family (both father and son are named Miguel), it's food is amazingly good. We ordered the always-excellent Paella del Marinera with mussels, clams, prawns and fish. It's meant for 2, but the serving is so generous that 3 of us found it a struggle to finish it. And out of the tapas section we ordered a small portion of Huevos Flamenco - 2 eggs baked in some sort of salsa. Also delicious. With a bottle of tempranillo syrah, a princely dinner!

Staff were friendly and attentive. Ambience was very relaxed and comfortable. Food was presented well and had great flavours.An enjoyable evening.

Went there for dinner with my family on a Sunday evening. The restaurant is casual looking with a touch of Spanish culture on the walls and on the atmosphere. The menu is well developed giving a great selection of meat, fish, vegetarian tapas. We ordered the Paella (that is cooked to order how it should be) and had a few tapas while we waited accompanied by a Jug of Sangria of course. We really enjoyed every bite, from the strong flavour of the Fried Sardines to the delicacy of the croquettes to the perfectly executed paella. Only reason why I decided to give four out of five is the dessert. We had Catalana and Fried Custard but the both lucked of flavour. The Catalana was a bit too thick, very pale to be a custard and the sugar caramelized on top was white not brown so instead of a nice crunchy top you had a bit of a gooey caramel, the fried custard the same story and personally I believe that if you put cinnamon on a dessert you have to mention it, not everyone likes it, especialy considering that I have asked more information about it before I ordered it. However I was seriously happy about the quality of the food, the service and the value for money so I will definetly be back soon

Fui a este restaurante esta noche después de buscar uno local después de unas vacaciones en España. Entre 3 de nosotros tomamos tapas (morralla, tortilla española y un pincho de cerdo y chorizo) y una paella carne, sin mariscos. Buen servicio amable, tanto del gerente como de la camarera. Lo más importante, buena comida. Ahora sé que está aquí, volveré.

Pensé en un auténtico restaurante de tapas que lo mínimo sería asar unos pimientos frescos. No Al microondas Langostinos,Al horno de microondas, incluso sabía que no estaba congelado. Pulpo al microondas. La comida salió tan rápido que me sorprendió que tuvieran una cocina. Sin embargo, la sangría era agradable. Si le apetece comida congelada en el microondas, entonces este es su lugar totalmente decepcionante. Pagué mi cuenta porque es un pequeño restaurante, pero a pesar de las apariencias, la autenticidad realmente ha dejado la comida. La comida definitivamente no es fresca, tal vez debería haber un letrero que te lo diga.

Last minute decision for Sunday lunch. Excellent selection of tapas, generous portions and very good value. A good choice of desserts and the coffee had a good flavour perfect to end the meal. Attentive and efficient service.

As a family & as a couple (pre-kids) we've had the pleasure in visiting La Paella a lot over the years & it is wonderful. The food is cooked to perfection. The Gambas are unrivalled, the Calamari exquisite & the Patatas Bravas - a dream. The manager is so welcoming & works hard to ensure you have a wonderful expect at the restaurant.If you want a taste of authentic Spain in North London this is it. If you want a glass of red a couple of plates of Tapas - this is the place for you. We love it & so will you.

I AM A Spanish lady from Barcelona, and this was the most appalling and embarrassing visit to a "Spanish" restaurant, the staff was of the most rude and offensive behaviour to people, so blunt and forth without no consideration, bringing the whole of the Spanish dignity down! The food wasn't so bad, if it wasn't because most of it was from FROZEN!!! We don't cook like this please!, the wine was poured wrong and to top it all up, was poured in DIRTY glasses, jesus... Staff was openly eating in the kitchen with their hands, and their English was so bad I could barely understand a word they were saying, don't go there!!!

My wife and I popped in for a late lunch while we were in the area and we were pleased we did! We were greeted warmly by a friendly waiter who looked after us very well. We ordered a couple of beers (Mahou is on tap) and looked at the menu. All of the expected tapas dishes were present as well as a few more unusual additions. As one of us is vegetarian, it was great to see a good selection of veggie options. Once we ordered the food arrived quickly and was very tasty - the garlic mushrooms were especially good. We finished the meal with a couple of carajillos and asked for the bill which came to £38. This was excellent value for money and we would visit again if we were in the area.

Decided to treat myself to supper and headed for La Paella. I love tapas - pick and mix is right up my street. Admittedly, I only ordered three dishes, but each was luke warm, slightly insipid and certainly didn't taste freshly cooked (tasted very much warmed up). It was totally unappetising, so I left it - most of it. No-one asked whether I'd enjoyed my meal (so I didn't complain) and I got the impression they didn't really care.

Hace algún tiempo, algunos amigos y yo reservamos una noche especial previa a la Navidad con un menú especial preestablecido (con algunas opciones), música y flamenco. El costo prepago fue de 26. 50. Llegamos temprano y nos acomodaron rápidamente. Poco después nos dieron a cada uno una hoja impresa de una página con una lista de tapas. Esto fue solo en español, aunque hablo un poco, no pude entender toda la lista, y ¿qué pasa con los que no hablan español? Comprobando más tarde, faltaban de la lista los artículos más deseables: langostinos, pulpos. Langostino, Jamón Ibérico.
