Jolly venue. Went with gay friends (I am straight) and felt completely at ease. Drinks were a bit expensive. Tacos are a great idea and reasonably cheap. Service was patchy. They tried, though. Made mistakes. Worked hard on cleaning (appreciated) - but still a mess... Will come back to try food properly

Worst experience with this place. We walked in and sat at a table (no one was there to greet us), then the server comes and tells us that the table may be reserved (very rudely) after which we sit down, another server comes to use and asks for my little sister’s ID (like she clearly looks like a child) and then proceeds to kick us out cause apparently this is a cocktail bar and the place is 18+ although it doesn’t say anywhere this. Absolutely atrocious.

I visited Barrio and had an amazing experience! Wally, who served us, was gentle and attentive, making sure our visit perfect. The Tommy's Margarita was a standout for me – it was refreshing and expertly mixed, a real treat! As for the food, the Tacos El Pollo and La Vaca were delicious. I can't recommend Barrio enough for anyone looking for a great dining experience with friendly service. Five stars all the way!

The entire evening was lovely - the palomas were strong and the tacos delicious. The serving of guacamole was on a smaller side and even though we finished the crisps we never got a replacement basket as advertised, we still had a great night.

I went on a Thursday Evening. If you’re looking for good cheap drinks and nibbles after work/in the early evening onwards I would highly recommend this place. The happy hour menu is generous, and if you’ve got a sweet tooth, I would recommend a piña colada. The £2 tacos are very addictive so if you come here on an empty stomach you will be having more than one. I ended up having 6! I tried the pork, beef and prawn one and the prawn one is by far my favourite. The food comes quickly so you won’t be waiting for long if you decide to order more. It would be even better if they had a table order app. I loved the vibes and atmosphere. The staff were friendly. They played a range of music and switched between genres and enjoyed most of playlist and even got up to have a little boogie. I think this is now my go to bar in central. I’m still thinking about those prawn tacos!

A happy hour that doesn’t end until 8pm, what’s not to love? Food was great (£2 tacos that were actually delicious) and so were the drinks! Will definitely be coming back and have already recommended to a few friends. Booking was easy but there way no way to modify the booking when we were running late - website returned an error message and no one picked up the phone despite calling 3 times.

We came here last night to celebrate a birthday, having had a terrible experience at the London cocktail club last year a manger kindly offered us a voucher for barrio, we came last summer and loved it we wanted to take friends so they could also see how good it was. This was our plan for last night and unfortunately this experience was no where near as good. When greeted we had mentioned we had a booking and had booked an area in the basement downstairs, to be told no you are upstairs. I then showed my booking confirmation which states it was basement. The person who had greeted us was then huffing and because extremely rude saying “come on then” so abruptly and ushering us. This then made us feel extremely unwelcome and abit on edge, it’s not the vibe you want when you are out for a good night. We got taken down to the area to then be told we would have to stand, for 6 people we had a seat for 2. If you are aware you have a booking for 6 why make half of us stand. Incredibly poor experience and I was so hoping this would be the new place we could come. Tried to find an email to speak to a manger but cannot find one.

The food was affordable and the quality was very good! I’d recommend coming here especially during the happy hour time. Delicious fresh food and well made cocktails. I’d recommend the shrimp tacos! The shrimp were very well fried so they were crisp and not soggy and the blue cheese sauce complimented well. My only point of improvement is that the music was slightly too loud. It was very hard to talk to one another. I specially chose the upper floor as well as it was supposed to be less noisy than the lower floor which is more of a bar + dance area.

was slightly disappointed as the kitchen had run out of chicken tacos and there was no other chicken options!! was also disappointed as food took almost an hour to get and then the kitchen closed at ten! other than that everything was perfect!! my group and i had so much fun and are definitely coming back again soon!

I came here on a Wednesday evening for a colleagues leaving do. We had to pay a deposit to book in advance for 20 people, so it was disappointing to firstly be shoehorned into an area that clearly wasn’t big enough to hold 20 people, and then be briskly informed that we couldn’t sit at a neighbouring (vacant) table because that wasn’t included in the reservation. After a bit of complaining we were eventually able to extend our seating area to allow everyone to be able to sit down. The service was table only, which I don’t think is ever a good way for a bar to operate, so we had to rely on the bar staff to come and take orders. What’s more, there was a bit of back and forth with staff when we explained that we didn’t want one big tab as people wanted to pay for their drinks separately. As for the food - we ordered tacos which took almost an hour to arrive and were cold (supposed to be hot). Perhaps it’s a venue that is better suited to smaller groups, but I have to say that I wasn’t particularly impressed with the service we received last week.

We booked a table at 21.15, we arrived and ordered some drinks, after a while, around 21.45 we were gonna order some food and they said the kitchen was already closed. The menus were on the table and no one told us that the kitchen was gonna close, we thought would be 10pm. Wasted time.

We hosted our staff party at Barrio Soho yesterday and had a fantastic time! The venue provided a vibrant atmosphere, excellent service, and a great overall experience. The staff were friendly and accommodating, contributing to the enjoyment of the event. I highly recommend this place for any celebratory occasion.

Soho is the best Barrio I’ve ever been to. I will never step foot in another Barrio as it will never compare

I spent ages searching for places to go dancing late at night in London for a Christmas night out. This place got really highly rated. So I booked a table for 10pm. I asked for downstairs but FYI they said because it was Saturday night and I booked the day before none were available. But that was fine. We bought drinks (a jug of margarita was £34 which I thought was reasonable for Soho) upstairs and then went downstairs. It was absolutely rammed. But the vibe was good. Standing room only and lots of smiling faces. The music was R & B though which is not my kind of thing - although I knew most of the tunes. And also I felt very old (I'm in my 40's). So we only stayed for about an hour in the end. But I could see that it was a really fun lively place to be, just if you are a bit younger than me. lol.

Bottomless Brunch. Quesadillas were lukewarm floppy tortillas with very bland filling. Chips and dips not enough for 10. Our group of 10 were seated at a table set for 6, so not enough room, glasses, or cutlery. Then we were told to go downstairs for the entertainment which meant we had nowhere to sit. Entertainment was as advertised.

I was a bit disappointed on the website said to be open until 2h30 on Saturday 16th when actually it closed before 1h am. I could have been warned before in advance.

Horrendous food! Amateur service. Their platter for £30 per person is awful and a complete rip off! . You don’t even know what platter it is, meat mixed with veg, no clue! Ordered drinks so many times and never brought to table. The skewered prawns were still frozen in the middle and had to be spat out. Honestly the worst place I have been to.

Never normally comment on individual servers but felt the customer service was really sub par this evening

When for some event, I am not sure what this place wants to be...a restaurant or a club. However the food is good and the staff are friendly. It's a bit small for a Club.

Food wasn’t great. Nachos should have had salsa, sour cream and guacomole (the usuals) instead they were very dry.

Absolutely terrible. Shocking service. Waited 45 minutes for drinks which were then spilt over 2 of our table. Service was rude and inattentive. Had to order twice to get one round of drinks which were then charged twice. We will not be returning.
