Joke of a place. Maybe the British idea of what a "Latin place " look like . Bad cocktails with little or no alcohol. We tried 2 different cocktails and could not taste the run. And the music certainly not Latin when we visit the place

Went to Barrio on Wednesday around 5pm. We were only people in the bar, service was good and quick. Order cocktails which were in happy hours, asked for food menu, but been told they dont do food as some private party. Party arrived soon and it was like 10/15 people which is strange not to serve food coz of small group like that. We finished our drinks and asked for the bill. My partner checked the bill and paid. Only next day we realized we were charged wrong. We were charged full amount instead of half for happy hour. I contacted restaurant by email and explained situation, but no response. If you decide to go there, make sure you check your bill and also what they charge you on the card before you leave.

Awful experience, the service was really chaotic and took ages. Despite the food being delicious me and my partner got food poisoning from the tacos (they refunded us but it ruined our experience) and they claim to be gluten free friendly but on the night ran out of corn tortillas so my friend was forced to eat loaded nachos.

My experience at Barrio was average at best. I went in at 3:15 and was told they wouldn’t serve food until 4 because of a brunch?? Fair enough, I went back at 4. Nobody came to take the order, I had to go to the bar to place it myself. I was then told they didn’t have nachos…? That’s so basic, but okay cool, ordered a replacement. 20 minutes later, no sign of food. I asked where the food was and was then told they didn’t have any prawns!!! This could have been communicated earlier, but again, cool. Food came shortly after, it was odd, tacos had gotten cold and hard (clearly they’d been sat ready for a while). And 10 minutes after finishing my tacos, still no sign of the nacho fries. Asked the guy at the bar, he went to the kitchen and brought it out, so he basically forgot?? But I have to say those were good. So yeah, overall pretty mid experience. Staff looked like they couldn’t give a shit about anyone there. Tacos weren’t even worth £2 but they tasted okay.

AVOID…… I do not recommend this place , you can find a better place around.A bald man who looks like he is Pakistani or Indian, at the entrance I said that I would like to buy the ticket to enter, and he then said, no you are intoxicated, which is not true because I cannot drink as I am on medication. after my arguments he said, now you will not get in because I do not want you to enter., I was disappointed, how can anyone say, that you are intoxicated if you can not drink. Very disappointed, because I had planned to celebrate my new year.

Had the waitress/manager move us from an unreserved table saying it was ‘reserved’ bear in mind all the reserved tables had a sign with a name on. This one didn’t and was available. She then places a group who she obviously personally knows and friends
