Delicious food , nicest waiter ever , and the best liquor I’ve ever tasted ! We had the chicken skewers, fried aubergine and fritas with alioli. The liquor was crème caramel!

What an amazing spare of the moment find. Fantastic authentic restaurant hidden away from the usual tourist hustle. Excellent quality food and drinks, not rushed. Attentive staff and excellent management. Will certainly be back!

Went on Saturday at 5.00. Very quiet but it was early. Ordered pig cheeks. So so good. Didn't need a knife at all. So tender. Did want some wine, but not cheap so had a beer. Will definitely go again if in the area. Toilets aren't fab, but food makes up for this.

Disappointing food, poor service and overpriced food. Octopus tapas very hard, bravas patatas came in big chunks and after 20 min.....

We took a trip as a couple to London and upon discovering this spectacular place, we loved it. Nothing like eating good tapas and the service couldn't be more perfect!!!!

What a treat. It was a Monday so quite quiet but the discreet music and colourful decor made for a relaxed and friendly vibe. The staff were polite and attentive and the tapas we tried was amazing! The food was so fresh and prepared with love and care. The desserts were stunning - especially the ice-cream served with them. I was expecting vanilla but was wowed by the cherry!

Came here for lunch with a friend whilst on a weekend trip to London. We were staying at the Travelodge in the same street. We hadn't planned to eat here so just turned up for a late lunch. When we walked in, the restaurant was empty which I thought maybe this place isn't great. I couldn't be more wrong. We just opted for tomato bread to start and paella for two - which was excellent and washed down with a very nice white Rioja. Service was excellent too. Would definitely recommend.

This place honestly should not be on anyone's radar. The tapas are very mediocre and they also have minimum orders on a lot of items. Meaning that if you want to get 1 paella, tough luck, you can't. This is extremely annoying and it's made to make you spend more. Also 30pp for a tapas course is way overpriced. The good part was only the music and atmosphere. Will not return here unfortinately and neither any of our friends.

Very overpriced for small portions of bland food. You would think with the Spanish staff the food would be authentic because Spanish food, especially tapas, is very good, but I was sorely mistaken. I've had better, cheaper tapas at Tapasitos restaurante y bar, and that's all the way in Nürnberg. Also it took them 30 minutes to get my bill, but that might've just been a miscommunication. The guitarist upstairs was great, and the bossa nova classics that he played made for a good atmosphere.

Baso mi experiencia en años atrás, cuando el padre del actual propietario, regentaba el restaurante. A través de la Agenica UK Angency Services, cuyo dueño era un tal Ángel (riojano), me tuvieron trabajando, en lo que ellos llaman “trial” sin condiciones ninguna. Un día completo el día de San Valentín, hace ya años atrás. Haciendo rosas, sirviendo mesas, recogiendo mesas, limpiando ¡Sin parar! Trabajando una jornada completa. A lo cual, yo decía que con 4 o 5h de trabajo ya podrían hacerse una idea. Resumen: me dijeron que iban a contratarme, cosa que jamas sucedió (afortunadamente), me tuvieron trabajando una jornada completa sin retribución ninguna, sin ni siquiera un plato de comida. En fin, esta fue mi experiencia hace años en este local.

Tapas were ok, not great. I give them 4 instead of 3 only because they were in London... Who serves Pan de Tomate at 9pm?! The albondigas were my highlight.

We came here to celebrate my girlfriend’s birthday and the food was absolutely incredible. Beautifully delicious tapas. The service was so attentive and they came out to help with the celebratory decorations. They brought out the birthday cake with sparklers and candles to sing happy birthday. Thank you all for helping to make this special day. I would 100% recommend you to visit this beautiful restaurant.

I booked the restaurant for a long overdue catch up with old friends and wasn’t disappointed. Great food, an excellent selection of wine, wonderful service and decent live music to accompany. I will be going back.

The worst of the worst, food was incredibly bad as well as service. Ridicolous pricing for such poor quality. Will never go again.

Disappointed. Was hoping to get a taste of Spain in London, but was instead left with salty, overpriced food that made me feel sick to my stomach after the fact. Would not be surprised if some of it was reheated, and it was not worth the 30 pounds per person cost at all.

Disappointed. Food was EXTREMELY salty, and this is by restaurant standards. Poor value too, £30pp didn’t give a great amount of food per person. Had higher expectations, but can’t see myself coming back again.

The best place to get amazing Tapas!! Every dish is delicious, and when you've ordered they come quick and fast, so you might have to juggle plates on the table to accommodate everything😆 Service is very good and polite with some humour too which makes Barcelona a very relaxed, chilled spot to eat out at. One of my favourites, will be back soon😁

Very good food but very slow service - took almost 2 hours for food to come. Understand it is busy but still unacceptable. Wine expensive.

Had the privilege of a works Christmas do here yesterday. The food and wine are second to none, a great experience tasting numerous items all of which were made to order and was perfectly cooked and the flavours are out of this world. The wine and cocktail selections were brilliant. As well as the ambience and the friendliness of the staff. Truly recommend this place as a top place to visit in London

Disappointing. The service was poor it took so long to get your food, when it came it wasn't brilliant. The paella was average I can cook better at home it was over done, the seafood was rubbery and the rice was crunchy in places. Very dissatisfied because it should be so much better considering the price. I read someone say best paella they have ever had I couldn't believe it. I would 100% avoid this restaurant. 2.5 / 5

We absolutely love Spanish tapas and have many favourite restaurants in London that are usually our first point of call. We have walked past this several times and it’s always been busy so have wanted to try it for some time. We ordered the house white wine which was quite nice and ordered 6 tapas from the menu. Two dishes were served hot but the rest were luke warm and at a guess I would say reheated. Most dishes lacked taste and Spanish authenticity. However the Omelette was very nice.

Such a shame as this was always one of our favourites for traditional tapas. Lots of staff around but no focus on our table from start to finish. No bar staff so whilst waiting for table as we arrived 15 mins early we were completely ignored. Manager was busy shouting orders from upstairs where clearly there was Christmas party's, and paid attention to Spanish and Italian customers. Had to try and get staff attention for orders, drinks and menus it was very disappointing and sadly after over 10 years visiting here we won't be back

Don’t let the interior fool you. This place has real soul in the kitchen.

This is not the place If u wanna order online.. management doesn’t have any interest about delivery orders. Drivers never making delay the orders coz they only get to do another order once they have deliver the current order. So accusation of drivers making your orders delay is a joke.

Some of the best paellas you can find in London. Their tapas recipes are as authentic as it gets. A long standing family business in this part of town is a treasure worth visiting and experiencing.

Another great evening at Barcelona Tapas bar, without a doubt the best Spanish restaurant in London. Fantastic specials always available like char grilled Lamb Chops served with Catalan garlic mayo. There's even a great surf n turf which I'm coming back for next time. This place never disappoints, can't recommend Barcelona Tapas highly enough.

Took clients for dinner at relatively short notice. Food was fantastic as attested to by the two Barcelona natives in the group. Live band later brought a lively twist to the evening! Reasonably priced, but drinks service was a bit slow.

A very good atmosphere Spanish restaurant in London east, with a live band (Brazilian)playing excellent music (only on Thurs n Sat). The food was so delicious, we order pepper, calamari, pork. I definitely recommend the paella which is almost the best I ever had....the only short fall was the taste of sangria...not am expected...I won't order next time.

Great find - staying in London for work and looking for somewhere nice to go - this place was opposite our hotel. When we arrived was very quiet but was early evening - it soon filled up and the atmosphere was buzzy. Staff were really friendly and gave good advice about drinks and food (so much choice) and the tapas was excellent. Will definitely return when next in town.

If you are in this part of London, you must go for a meal here. The food was fabulous, the service faultless and on a Friday or Saturday night the music is really good. We love it here, every dish we ordered was perfect, I have to say the squid was exceptional. It is great value for money and a lovely lady called Maria is the manager who makes sure the food and service is top class. I can't wait to go back there.

We were made to feel welcome the minute we walked through the door. Ordered a few tapas dishes, most noteworthy were the pig cheeks and the fried Aubergine! Everything was delicious! Particular shout out to our fabulous waitress Maria Jorge who's enthusiasm to her job was a joy.

Abbiamo mangiato molto bene e il proprietario è stato davvero gentile, soprattutto con nostra figlia di 5 anni alla quale ha fatto diverse sorprese per farla stare bene.

A quiet restaurant, which we choose for its close proximity to our walking tour later on. We ordered the set menu and all the tapas were delicious and filing. Good value too!

I love tapas. I love Barcelona. So when I accidentally stumbled past this place on the way to my hotel from the car park, I couldn't resist but to come back for some dinner entertainment! We didn't have a booking, and feared the worst when we saw how busy it was, but the gent at the door sat us down by the bar whilst he worked out where we could sit. A few moments later we were sat on a cute two-seater, in the thick of the action. We were presented with a food and drinks menu, but having that it was our first visit, it would have been rude to pass up their famous set menu with all the trimmings. We chucked in a jamon croquettes and a pan con tomate, just for good measure. These were accompanied by a bottle of rioja (medium/light red) and pint of Estrella Galicia! The food was all very good. The standout for me was the croquettes and the tortilla (very rare that you get tortilla this good - eggs cooked just under - perfect!). The reason this got 5* (would have been a 6* if possible) was the attentive and friendly service. Turns out the friendly gent at the door was the owner, David. He was really great, gave us so much time to chat and make us feel welcome. He even sent over his sherry expert, Will, to talk us through some post meal Fino options. I had the most incredible oloroso with some cheese, just wow. I hadn't seen any of the reviews before I came here, so really surprised to see the mixed bag. I had such a good night, the vibe was unreal and the meal was delightful. Wouldn't hesitate to come back, at all. Vamos!

Great place to celebrate a birthday

Absolute shocking behaviour by what is the manager of this establishment to be clear he’s a tall white man Wearing a shirt with a jumper to cover. Maybe I’m oblivious, but I’ve never seen complete and utter racism to his staff and the audacity to look at me and my friend Moa at the bar as I question it and say well it’ll either be the Chinese or the Indians that will clean today or tomorrow outside shocking Absolutely shocking, I’ll bring it further than the trust pilot. Staff are amazing my friend and I split the bill picture below.

Lovely staff and pretty good tapas - certainly the best place locally, all the standards and beer on tap. The devilled pork is my favourite. Particularly enjoyed the music .. not Spanish but at least a break from Christmas music or ubiquitous Drill .. it was non-stop K-Pop .. who knew!? Merry Xmas.

This place was great - easy online reservation, choice of sitting inside or out (heater and blanket provided if needed), such a welcoming team, good selection of wines and beers, food was excellent. Highly recommend it.

The food was very nice but the service was TERRIBLE! People’s food were coming out before drinks, people were receiving the wrong orders, the staff did not know any table numbers. If was a mess. The waitress even swore in front of us because no one served us, this particular waitress was quite rude generally. We were tempted to leave due to the long wait for food and others receiving there’s before us. We went for our anniversary too and this just killed the mood. I would avoid this place on busy days as it seems they just cant cope with the orders.

Delicious tapas, really satisfied with all the dishes! Croquettes melted in my mouth, the Spanish omelette with chorizo was amazing! The pork cheek bones were delicious as well!

Hicimos nuestro primer viaje a Londres y después de muchos días comiendo mal, encontramos este bar digno de nuestro país, España. No hay nada mejor que una buena comida española, sabrosa y sobre todo con buenos productos. La atención fue magnífica por parte del dueño y de los camareros que nos atendieron (ya que muchos hablan español) y nos sentimos como en casa aún estando a miles de kilómetros de ella. Sin duda, recomendamos 100% este lugar porque no deja indiferente a nadie. Gracias por vuestra atención y por hacer de aquellas cenas un momento muy agradable.

The food other than the patatas bravas (which is the worst I've ever seen- see picture.) was really good however they were too short staffed and waiting 30 mins for a drink is not ok. Further trying to get someone's attention to take your food orders was like trying to catch smoke and the person who did serve us had no clue. There was one waitress who was amazing, Paula however unfortunately she can't serve the entire restaurant. Shame regarding the service as it ruins the whole experience.

We really loved it there! The staff is very nice and its beautiful. We enjoyed the atmposhere, the food and the music (gipsy kings). As vegetarians we were quiet impressed that we did get very full and happy. ;)

Serendipitous choice for a late lunch as we walked past. Excellent food and service. We ended up staying for several hours grazing on the excellent tapas. We made three separate orders for food, and the equivalent for drinks. Everything arrived speedily and with a smile. We will visit again in a more planned manner.

Went here on Friday night. Chose the set menu for 2 and ordered a bottle of wine between two of us. We were expecting the price but to add a service delivery charge on of 10% for two people was out of order. While the food and drink was ok, the additional cost let the whole experience down especially what we agreed to pay on the menu. If there was a small print we certainly didn't see it!!

The service is good with nice and friendly staff but the food is far away from Spanish tapas. Was delivered quickly but still kind raw and undone. The restaurant smells like old garlic. Would not eat in again. Very sad

Great little tapas spot ! Could not fault the food at all. Chicken croquettes were absolutely unreal (we had to order more!). Very reasonably priced for London ! If you fancy some tapas, this place is definitely worth checking out !

Extremely authentic! Service was great, food was delicious. Our waitress told us all about our food, how it differs in different regions and gave us a great recommendation for dessert. 10/10 would go again.

We stopped here for tapas and wine whilst we waited to go on a walking tour at Aldgate Station. The service was very friendly, very good wine and an excellent range of tasty tapas. The atmosphere in the restaurant is also very good with music playing all the time. We will definitely be back.
