First time here and pleased. Food was good, service ok. The restaurant would need some upgrades on toilets, walls and music statiin witch was all the time interrupted and annoying.

Incredible Spanish corner in London! Everything was delicious from the tumaca bread to the secret, shrimp, croquettes, etc. Including the service that was exceptional.

I do enjoy it here. The food is always lovely and the staff are very friendly. I can't really comment on the atmosphere as always go on a quiet and early evening when very few people are around. I would always recommend here though.

From the second i went in the service was extraorderery. The food was great the tapas is very good and autentic. When you order beef its alot and very good. I recommend this 100%

We had a great meal. Not only was the food delicious, it was served with care and attention. When the evening got chilly they got us patio heaters and blankets. We were celebrating a special occasion and they made it extra special. Highly recommend Barcelona restaurant. Will be going back.

Not a very nice experience. For context, they served the patatas bravas with canned tomato sauce and served the churros with a shot of hot chocolate. Sangrias were bare minimal as well with just oranges and had a weird taste. Absurd prices as well barely a tourist trap.

Excellent experience. We went here for dinner and had a great time. Very good food. We tasted several courses (tapas), all of high quality. The service was also excellent, with friendly and very nice waiters. Plus: that evening there was also live music with a very good musician who played classic songs with voice and guitar!

A very friendly waiter who, upon seeing that we spoke Spanish, attended to us personally. A very pleasant meal thanks to their service and always attentive to ensuring that we did not miss anything. It's a shame to leave without knowing his name... PS: Thanks for the Catalan cream and next time a good patxaran!!

Fabulous Spanish food, all the products they use are imported from Spain and the quality of the genre is evident. Very good atmosphere and excellent attention from the waiters. On my trip to London I have gone a couple of times, I recommend ordering paella, it is delicious! If we return one day, we will definitely repeat.

Tapas revisited in the English style, patatas brava without aioli, chipirons in fritters, little resemblance to the worst tapas you can eat in Spain. Expensive and not very good.

Incredibly tasty food, the best thing we ordered was without a doubt the garlic prawns, the Galician-style octopus, the squid and the cheek was tremendous, the staff was all super friendly and even though we entered at the last minute, they received us very well and even They got two shots of the house, I would definitely repeat!

I keep coming back here every time I'm in the area, and it's always an absolute pleasure. We had the lovely Georgina serving us tonight and she was very attentive and nice. The food was great as always!

Very nice food - great portion sizes - and for 4:30pm in the afternoon, despite being quiet, the atmosphere was great thanks to the subtle music in the background. Georgina from the Dominican Republic is also a fantastic waitress and a very accommodating front of house guest. 11/10 - definitely returning.

Been here twice lately , once for work and once personal and both times were awful. Used to be a city institution but now it’s really a shadow of its former glories. Takes ages to get served for a drink when you’re seated and then even longer for food to turn up. Food latest time was pretty meh, chorizo sausages were cold which seems to indicate not cooked or microwaved and the servers either forgot orders or brought us things we already had! Would say very very poor

Food is amazing, super tasty. Try the bread with tomato, the mushroom croquettes and the aubergine. They are incredible. Super friendly staff particularly Georgina who accommodate shared her lovely recommendations.

DO NOT ORDER THE SANGRIA OR TAPAS £101 for a sharing platter of cheap food and a jug of cheap Sangria Absolute joke pricing. We didn't even take one single picture of the food because it was so lame. £30 on the menu I thought "ok order for 1 and £15 each" WRONG, they DOUBLE IT Also you might notice I ordered "£16" worth of extras, also wrong. It was because I asked them to replace the pork items with veg items, they did fairly cut these off the bill And the sangria they casually offer you is not just a glass or two it's a whole jug for 4 people at least I told them how unhappy I was with the bill, they didn't care at all, just asked if I would pay

Amazing food!!! Really nice place, big and spacious and also well decorated. Croquetas de boletus y trufa: very creamy and crispy croquettes, intense flavour and probably one of the best croquettes I’ve ever eaten. Chorizo: well cooked chorizo but not very crispy, nice taste and good quantity. Huevos rotos with ham: simple plate as it’s just fries and eggs but the crispy onion does add flavour to it, would recommend to ask for a bit of salt. Carrilleras: very soft meat and good texture, tasty and creamy mashed. Crema catalana: I ordered with high expectations as I love it. Wasn’t very tasty, the caramel on top was actually good. Overall I do recommend this place, the staff is very nice and good atmosphere.

BEST TAPAS RESTAURANT IN LONDON!!!!!!! I’ve visited many places but Barcelona Tapas bar and restaurant between Liverpool st and Aldgate is by far the best restaurant I enjoy going to on a regular basis. From food to service excellent!

We ordered a selection of classic tapas which tasted good and was served promptly. But there were some issues that I wanted to communicate about our visit: 1: At some point the restaurant switched from their usual sound system to another one to play Happy Birthday. The playback was really broken and juddery. It was painful to listen to. Needs fixing! 2: We had to get up and pay the bill at the counter after it was taking some time to arrive (we had to go somewhere else afterwards). The pay-at-table stickers on the tables didn’t seem to be working.

Went on Saturday at 5.00. Very quiet but it was early. Ordered pig cheeks. So so good. Didn't need a knife at all. So tender. Did want some wine, but not cheap so had a beer. Will definitely go again if in the area. Toilets aren't fab, but food makes up for this.

What a treat. It was a Monday so quite quiet but the discreet music and colourful decor made for a relaxed and friendly vibe. The staff were polite and attentive and the tapas we tried was amazing! The food was so fresh and prepared with love and care. The desserts were stunning - especially the ice-cream served with them. I was expecting vanilla but was wowed by the cherry!

Came here for lunch with a friend whilst on a weekend trip to London. We were staying at the Travelodge in the same street. We hadn't planned to eat here so just turned up for a late lunch. When we walked in, the restaurant was empty which I thought maybe this place isn't great. I couldn't be more wrong. We just opted for tomato bread to start and paella for two - which was excellent and washed down with a very nice white Rioja. Service was excellent too. Would definitely recommend.

Very overpriced for small portions of bland food. You would think with the Spanish staff the food would be authentic because Spanish food, especially tapas, is very good, but I was sorely mistaken. I've had better, cheaper tapas at Tapasitos restaurante y bar, and that's all the way in Nürnberg. Also it took them 30 minutes to get my bill, but that might've just been a miscommunication. The guitarist upstairs was great, and the bossa nova classics that he played made for a good atmosphere.

This place honestly should not be on anyone's radar. The tapas are very mediocre and they also have minimum orders on a lot of items. Meaning that if you want to get 1 paella, tough luck, you can't. This is extremely annoying and it's made to make you spend more. Also 30pp for a tapas course is way overpriced. The good part was only the music and atmosphere. Will not return here unfortinately and neither any of our friends.

The staff were too intrusive and extremely quick in wanting to get to the dessert without leaving time to finish drinking the wine. Good food but overly expensive.

Baso mi experiencia en años atrás, cuando el padre del actual propietario, regentaba el restaurante. A través de la Agenica UK Angency Services, cuyo dueño era un tal Ángel (riojano), me tuvieron trabajando, en lo que ellos llaman “trial” sin condiciones ninguna. Un día completo el día de San Valentín, hace ya años atrás. Haciendo rosas, sirviendo mesas, recogiendo mesas, limpiando ¡Sin parar! Trabajando una jornada completa. A lo cual, yo decía que con 4 o 5h de trabajo ya podrían hacerse una idea. Resumen: me dijeron que iban a contratarme, cosa que jamas sucedió (afortunadamente), me tuvieron trabajando una jornada completa sin retribución ninguna, sin ni siquiera un plato de comida. En fin, esta fue mi experiencia hace años en este local.

Tapas were ok, not great. I give them 4 instead of 3 only because they were in London... Who serves Pan de Tomate at 9pm?! The albondigas were my highlight.

We came here to celebrate my girlfriend’s birthday and the food was absolutely incredible. Beautifully delicious tapas. The service was so attentive and they came out to help with the celebratory decorations. They brought out the birthday cake with sparklers and candles to sing happy birthday. Thank you all for helping to make this special day. I would 100% recommend you to visit this beautiful restaurant.

I booked the restaurant for a long overdue catch up with old friends and wasn’t disappointed. Great food, an excellent selection of wine, wonderful service and decent live music to accompany. I will be going back.

The worst of the worst, food was incredibly bad as well as service. Ridicolous pricing for such poor quality. Will never go again.

Disappointed. Was hoping to get a taste of Spain in London, but was instead left with salty, overpriced food that made me feel sick to my stomach after the fact. Would not be surprised if some of it was reheated, and it was not worth the 30 pounds per person cost at all.

Every dish is delicious, and when you've ordered they come quick and fast, so you might have to juggle plates on the table to accommodate everything😆 Service is very good and polite with some humour too which makes Barcelona a very relaxed, chilled spot to eat out at. One of my favourites, will be back soon😁

Had the privilege of a works Christmas do here yesterday. The food and wine are second to none, a great experience tasting numerous items all of which were made to order and was perfectly cooked and the flavours are out of this world. The wine and cocktail selections were brilliant. As well as the ambience and the friendliness of the staff. Truly recommend this place as a top place to visit in London

Disappointing. The service was poor it took so long to get your food, when it came it wasn't brilliant. The paella was average I can cook better at home it was over done, the seafood was rubbery and the rice was crunchy in places. Very dissatisfied because it should be so much better considering the price. I read someone say best paella they have ever had I couldn't believe it. I would 100% avoid this restaurant. 2.5 / 5

We absolutely love Spanish tapas and have many favourite restaurants in London that are usually our first point of call. We have walked past this several times and it’s always been busy so have wanted to try it for some time. We ordered the house white wine which was quite nice and ordered 6 tapas from the menu. Two dishes were served hot but the rest were luke warm and at a guess I would say reheated. Most dishes lacked taste and Spanish authenticity. However the Omelette was very nice.

Such a shame as this was always one of our favourites for traditional tapas. Lots of staff around but no focus on our table from start to finish. No bar staff so whilst waiting for table as we arrived 15 mins early we were completely ignored. Manager was busy shouting orders from upstairs where clearly there was Christmas party's, and paid attention to Spanish and Italian customers. Had to try and get staff attention for orders, drinks and menus it was very disappointing and sadly after over 10 years visiting here we won't be back

Don’t let the interior fool you. This place has real soul in the kitchen.

This is not the place If u wanna order online.. management doesn’t have any interest about delivery orders. Drivers never making delay the orders coz they only get to do another order once they have deliver the current order. So accusation of drivers making your orders delay is a joke.

Some of the best paellas you can find in London. Their tapas recipes are as authentic as it gets. A long standing family business in this part of town is a treasure worth visiting and experiencing.

Another great evening at Barcelona Tapas bar, without a doubt the best Spanish restaurant in London. Fantastic specials always available like char grilled Lamb Chops served with Catalan garlic mayo. There's even a great surf n turf which I'm coming back for next time. This place never disappoints, can't recommend Barcelona Tapas highly enough.
