La Nonna in Southwark

Ce restaurant aurait pu me faire me régaler, j’ai commander des pâtes carbonara sans sauce et avec un goût d’arachide... très étrange. J’ai également commandé des pâtes à la tomate ( il y avais bien une photo de pâte !!) mais j’ai reçu des gnocchi sans goût et fade. Dommage !!! Car ce restaurant a un certain potentiel

Ordené la cola de buey parpadelle que casi no tenía cola de buey, me cobraron 1 por queso (pero solo tenía una pizca de queso parmesano y no estaba escrito como extra en el tablero del menú ...) y no me dieron la Pan de ajo que pagué hasta que les recordé. Experiencia decepcionante. Me siento engañado.

Soy un gran fan de la comida bajo los arcos del Flat Iron Square Market en el London Bridge, pero mi experiencia de La Nonna me decepcionó. Pasé 15 minutos esperando por un plato de pasta decepcionante. Ciertamente no es el mejor. Iría a Padella o Pastaio para la verdadera pasta italiana. Mi problema real, sin embargo, era la forma en que el propietario trataba a su personal femenino. Era degradante y no era la forma en que se debía hablar con nadie. Francamente, me disgustó el lenguaje que usó.

I'm sure the food is usually lovely but my experience wasn't a positive one. I ordered the pea and shallots ravioli in pesto sauce special and asked for (and paid for) extra mushrooms and truffle oil. Inside the ravioli was orange and it tasted nothing of peas, shallots, whatever. I wasn't going to say anything but I decided to go to the stall and show him the ravioli. Showing him the orange inside I was told 'sorry we ran out of that one so had to change it' - something, surely, that you should tell the person who has just paid for something in particular. I also explained that the sauce tasted nothing like pesto and was told 'when you ordered mushrooms and truffle oil we changed the sauce'. In the end, I came away from it with a free tiramisu so thanks for that but it didn't really make up for the lack of dinner.

All three dishes were so mind-blowingly delicious 🤯 ➡ My sister got the Tagliatelle with creamy wild mushroom sauce. This was UNBELIEVABLE! We added truffle sauce as extra topping and it was just out of this world! ➡ I got the Pappardelle with slow cooked oxtail ragu. This dish was so satisfyingly rich in flavour, it makes the perfect Sunday comfort food. ➡ We also got the Mozzarella sticks with pesto mayo and tomato chilli sauce. These sauces were what made the already scrumptious dish outstanding! Especially the pesto mayo - I would buy a bottle of this if I could. Definitely worth a visit!

Brand new to Flat Iron Squre, La Nonna is absolutely killing it with their pasta game!! The carbonara is one of the best I have had and you have to try the Nutella mini doughnuts because they were unreal. Portion sizes are fantastic too. There's just such a friendly and authentic vibe at this particular food stall and I can't wait to go back again. If you're a student like myself, they offer a 20% student discount !!!!
