Azzurro - London Bridge in Southwark

This is an excellent location right opposite London bridge Station. The menu is good, I have dietary requirements which are catered for and reasonably priced. The service is friendly but a little slow.

We had to ask every time to order or get the bill and when the mouse was spotted and we advised staff, they didn’t seem at all concerned. Generally we felt that the restaurant was very poorly run and the waiting staff disinterested (the restaurant wasn’t even very busy).

Mi pollo en pasta estaba demasiado cocido.Hicimos un comentario sobre la cerveza que no estaba recién servida y obtuvimos un reemplazo en una botella. Stopped here on our first night in London, staying at the Hilton Tower Bridge nearby. Food was pretty good, service was a bit slow.

Absolutely awful. None of our group finished any of our food or appetizers. The rice ball appetizer was still cold in the center when served to us. The rice was crunchy with the beef that tasted like canned stew. Will not be returning.

I paid £230 for canned beef stew and burnt rice. The food was disgusting and cold. False Advertising

Esto iba a ser una comida de cumpleaños para el almuerzo de mi madre 60 cumpleaños.Reservamos de antemano, llegamos tarde debido a estar en el fragmento más tiempo. Llamamos para cambiar la hora y el personal parecía amable.Llegamos y nos llevaron a nuestra mesa, el sábado por la tarde y solo 2 mesas, un poco preocupante.El pedido: tomó un poco de tiempo, pero finalmente se resolvió.Las bebidas: estaban bien.La comida: todas las patatas fritas estaban frías. Entonces se los llevaron, los platos para la pasta estaban fríos, por lo que la pasta se estaba enfriando muy rápidamente. Como las patatas fritas estaban frías, mi hamburguesa de mamá también fue tomada.El resto de nosotros no tuvo más remedio que comer nuestra pasta refrescante.Pasaron más de 10 minutos, vimos al personal de pie. Comido aquí dos veces ahora. una vez cuando está tranquilo y una vez cuando está ocupado. No me puedo quejar de la comida. De hecho, la mejor pizza que he tenido realmente fresca. el esposo dijo lo mismo sobre su boloñesa. El servicio fue rápido (quizás un poco apresurado pero no es un problema). Reservamos antes de llegar al puente de Londres, ya que a mi hijo le encanta la comida italiana, realmente lamento esa decisión. Habiendo pasado por varios restaurantes en el camino hacia aquí, todos llenos hasta el borde, era una mala señal de que este restaurante estaba menos de la mitad lleno un sábado por la noche. La comida era pobre, insípida, mi lasaña estaba líquida y sobrecalentada en microondas. No vayas aquí, hay tantos lugares fabulosos para comer en el puente de Londres.

Restauranten ligger tæt på Tower bridge. Ok pizza og god suppe ikke kæmpe portioner men ok. Frokost tilbud mellem 12-17 pizza eller pasta samt drikkevarer 13£ . Flink personale. Pænt rent tæt på undergrunden.

We went on a Tuesday evening so not particularly busy. The first waitress put us on a tiny table for 2 even though there seemed to be plenty of other larger tables available. After ordering our drinks a manager/ supervisor asked if we would like to move to the other side of the restaurant as it had better lighting. We were happy to move and we were given a larger and more comfy table, with better lighting. Not sure why they didn't seat us there in the first place. I think the first waitress was maybe new.

Ordered a pizza and salad, they arrived quite quickly, tasted lovely, the drinks arrived after the food arrived and the table water arrived after all the food and drinks. It took three different staff members to be asked before we were given it.

I booked a table at short notice ie 1hr before on a busy Friday night in London Bridge. Both of us had tagliatelle with chicken and we were very pleased with our choice followed by an excellent Tartufo and good wine . Would highly recommend this restaurant.

Until pasta every thing was fine ahter that vhanged the wetress from polite e good watress to rude (i didn't get it why!) And she brought me PASTA WITH MILANESE!

I can’t recommend this restaurant highly enough. The service was excellent and the food was excellent too. It’s very convenient for London Bridge station as it’s right opposite the entrance for the underground.

We visited with family on a Thursday evening in August. Great location but left a lot to be desired - steak was ordered rare but arrived well done, fish was luke warm. We asked for a high chair and were told they didn’t have any! When I said of course you must have a high chair she went away and miraculously found one. We ordered a bottle of Gavi but we’re give Sauvignon, we didn’t notice until the glasses had been poured and the waitress had gone so as the service wasn’t particularly quick we drank it anyway and were disappointed to see that the we were charged for the more expensive Gavi on the bill. Won’t be returning.

Esteticamente si avvicina molto a un ristorante italiano, con menu in lingua. Hanno provato a replicare pasta all’arrabbiata e tagliatelle ai funghi, con un pessimo risultato. Pasta scotta, porzioni esagerate, condimenti abbastanza insipidi. Prezzi alti per la qualità del cibo

Visited with 4 members of my family at beginning of August for lunch. Pleasant staff however the food was a real mixed bag. Great salad and lasagne, poor inedible pizza (raw, soggy in the middle) and the risotto wasn’t nice either. Overall I wouldn’t visit here again.. but good location next to London Bridge station.

We stopped at lunch time on the way to Tower Bridge. any pasta for 9.95 looked like a good deal. I had carbonara which was ok but lacked egg and probably had cream in it instead. Wife had penne with salmone which she enjoyed. Shame for the dance music inside other than Italian classics. Service was good overall but I wouldn't return because it lacked Italian atmosphere.

Went here with my two kids yesterday on way to HMS Belfast (well worth a visit). I am not normally a fan of rstaurant pasta is it is usually a fairly bland experience. I had the chilli crayfish (Spaghetti Veneziana) and it was lovely. My teen said the Spag Bol was the best ever. With the lunch menu pricing it was a great choice. Quick and friendly service.

we booked this restaurant in advance and it didn't disappoint,when we arrived we were shown to our table ,staff were polite and friendly we had a starter and main the portions were quite big so no room for desserts,it was good value for money and we would return if we was in the London Bridge area

We arrived a little year and was pleased to be allowed to buy a drink and wait. Portions were generous and service was good. Not too expensive for the area either. Good range on the children's menu too.

A nice restaurant with Italian food. Nice staff, not to crowded, good seats and nice service. Food taste good and service was quick. Outside seating small, but nice air conditioned inside restaurant when warm outside. Clean toilets.

Sarà che noi siamo italiani e facciamo del cibo una religione,ma qui non siamo riusciti a salvare niente. Una semplice pasta in bianco sembrava zuccherata, la pasta senza glutine, era talmente collosa che si poteva usare per attaccatutto, la pizza.......eehhhh. I due pallini li do solo perché la cortesia dei ragazzi che ci hanno servito è stata unica. Purtroppo non basta, peccato!

El servicio fue horrible, la comida fue horrible. . . Lo mejor de mi experiencia fue dejar el restaurante. El primer plato de bruschetta era esencialmente queso con pan tostado y mi hija de 5 años podría haberlo hecho mejor. Era queso derretido en una baguette y no había nada italiano al respecto. La pasta estaba recocida y no tenía sabor que nunca. Las patatas fritas estaban saladas y frías (supongo que acababan de ir a McDonald's al otro lado de la carretera). El servicio fue lento. No recomendaría este lugar a todos. La gerencia debería buscar mejorar la calidad de los alimentos.

Service is appalling as was the “quick lunch”. Service was slow and waitress didn’t know much about “special offers” so we ended up paying more than expected. Food was cold and very tasteless. Some work on customer service is needed here

Visitamos un sábado por la noche. El personal que conocimos era amable y no podía ser más útil. Teníamos los platos de tagliatelle. En el Tagliatelle Azzurro (pollo, brócoli y gorgonzola), el brócoli era encantador y crujiente.

Servicio lento. No hay sabor en ninguna de las comidas que se sirven entre los 3 de nosotros. Penne Arrabbiata especialmente decepcionante: 12 para un poco de pasta penne, pasata, un par de especias y tomates, sin guarnición.

We went here Thursday evening at the start of the Easter weekend. We booked our table for 5.30.. the restaurant was dead.. we were the only people there however once we sat down a handful of other dinners came in.

My 8yr old son (who loves pizza) and I stopped in here for an early dinner before heading home to Dover after a lovely touristy day trip to London.

We work in the local area and heard from the manager that they were doing a bar promotion we were greeted by a lovely lady who immediately gave us a glass of prosecco each and not the cheap stuff either it was nice so much so we bought another glass each before finishing with a good priced peroni . Got free snacks to try too the lady working told us about being able to book the bar and we took a menu she was friendly and was only one on duty but she kept everyone happy and well watered she told us the food in the restaurant was also worth a try so we went upstairs and enjoyed a fabulous meal thank you for your hospitality they really care here

In summary, it was pretty awful.

Tucked away in Tooley Street, near the exit of London Bridge station, well worth seeking out. Food was excellent, fresh, tasty and served quickly by friendly staff. I think that a late attendance would require a reservation. We arrived around 5.30. pm and it was starting to fill up. The menu was good, typical Italian, of course, but a reasonable price for London. Would use again.

Booked a table for 8pm and arrived just before to not be greeted by any member of staff for a good 5-10 minutes, we finally called someone at the restaurant bar and said we had a reservation, to which the waitress wondered off without saying anything to the desk and then to pick menus up and walk toward a table in the very far corner with barely any contact with us, we sat and with no information given the waitress walks off for a further length of time. The place was reasonably quiet for this time yet nothing was being done, the staff clearly didn’t want to be there with no motivation whatsoever. We didn’t bother staying as it was supposed to be a special night for the partners birthday, so went off to a much better restaurant down the road serving much better service.

Delicious calamari to start followed by a Halloumi Burger and tasty Italian ice cream-nicely presented and served. The location is good because if you are meeting it is very close to London Bridge Station. Tables are not on top of each other and I think you will enjoy the experience. Visited there at about 18:30 and it was not very busy but left just after 20:45 and it was beginning to fill up. Definitely would return if I am in the area.

Azzurro London Bridge is a great place to go eat at. It has a great list of foods and a great view in the London Bridge area . Keep this one on your list .

We visited here in December as a group of 4 on a Friday night. It was during the peak Christmas party season so the restaurant was busy and when the first 2 of us arrived and said we had a booking we were told there was an issue with the system. Apparently we had not booked a table despite receiving a booking confirmation. We are not a fussy group and accept that sometimes these things happen but the situation was not dealt with well, the manager was rude and the large empty table by the door which we had been told was booked suddenly became available when they realised we were a table of 4 and not 2!

Having booked a table for 4 for dinner in advance via the Azzurro website, we arrived and were told by the front of house staff that the table was not available as the booking system was broken and everything was already taken. This was clearly not the case as we could see numerous empty tables and we were eventually seated.

Fuimos 3 matrimonios con niños, y les encantó la comida. Buen servicio y todo buenísimo. Al lado del Riverside y de The Shard. No fallas.

La comida no era del todo mala, pero no tenía nada de interesante. No se destaca entre los otros restaurantes italianos del mercado medio que están cerca. Al final no me fui satisfecho.

Went to this restaurant. I was greeted by an extremely rude waiter. I had a very standard meal (which was mainly cold). Paid for my meal, got up to leave and saw under a table next to be a mouse trap with a mouse tail next to it!!!! Do not go! this is definately not a 4* rating for cleanliness restaurant.

A family meal, 5 of us, we chose this restaurant because the location was convenient but the quality of the food was very disappointing, it was bland. The service was fine but overall a disappointing evening, the restaurant was quiet and lacked atmosphere.

We were starving after a busy day around London and saw this restaurant was nearby. There are restaurants a million times better than this. I was appalled by the poor leadership of the manager towards her team. Everyone was wandering around looking busy but doing nothing. I had to grab the waiters attention to order. She didn’t know the menu at all and couldn’t even pronounce the names of the dishes- now this is a basic thing a manager should run through with her staff before meeting them out on the floor.

Randomly popped in here with the family after exploring London. Really reasonable Italian, great pizza and gluten free options (pasta). Certainly filled a hole and would recommend

Stopped by here randomly. The staff were friendly and the food average. For the price, I think you can find better Italian in London.

Stopped off on way home and very pleased that we did. Food delicious and gluten free options available. Excellent service by our waiter Rilwam. Very friendly and polite, laughed along with the bad jokes. Will certainly return when in London again.

Decided to come here with my Dad pre-theatre and to say farewell as I am going to uni.

My wife and I came here for lunch,after having to leave another restaurant nearby as it was very noisy,(children screaming),it was nice and quiet,service was friendly,and the food was very reasonable.I only wish they did prawn and garlic pizzas.

Visited this restaurant for a business lunch due to its close proximity to our office and was really disappointed with the whole experience.

Terrible from start to finish. Starters took 50mins and were wrong. The pizza one of the group ordered wasn't cooked, the dough was still basically raw. Our drinks didn't arrive. We asked for the bill and it took 40 mins to arrive by which point Wes aid to the manager that we'd been trying to pay for 40 minutes for a truly terrible meal amd now we didn't want to. The only place in my life I have left without paying. The restaurant was pretty empty too so the poor service wasn't really understandable. And to top it off two of the three of us there had stomach problems not long after getting home. Couldn't recommend it less.

Nice food but we sat round a corner hidden so were ignored most of the time. We asked for water 3 times. Food, once arrived was nice. The lady that served us was lovely and friendly, the guy miserable. Music too loud too. Toilets disgusting.

Mentre le tagliatelle erano insipide ma passabili, i cannelloni proprio non sapevano di nulla nemmeno con l'aggiunta abbondante di parmigiano e di sale. Prendiamo poi due caffè espressi, pessimi anche questi. Al momento di pagare il conto ci accorgiamo che il supplemento del 10% per il servizio (chiaramente indicato come opzionale sul menu) ce l'hanno addebitato senza nemmeno chiedercelo. La spesa è piuttosto alta (anche tenendo presente di essere a Londra): 40 sterline per due piatti di pasta, una bottiglietta d'acqua e due caffè

Jag och dottern hittade denna restaurang med italiensk mat av en slump, vi skulle äta lunch innan vår Harry Potter-runda (Tour for Muggles).

Two of us came here on a Saturday day night in March; no one was around, and this perhaps should have been a warning sign. We were tight for time though, and expectations were low. The food was not amazing, but passable. The overall atmosphere was quiet and okay, which made the slow service inexplicable. Overall a completely unnoteworthy dinner. That is until we are joined by a mouse! I stared in disbelief as one crawls out the wall and towards my guest, who has a phobia of rodents by the way! Naturally, we had to leave in a hurry after I told her but the nonplussed expression of our waiter said a lot. Looking back we can’t believe we paid. In their defense, I would not knock the food and with the high standard locally, passable is quite good. Location is also very solid and though lacking ambience due to it being quiet; this was during a very cold period and I was a fan of the restaurant layout. It was in fact bordering on a snow storm when we visited, so while unacceptable, I can understand that perhaps a rodent would also inexplicably enter. Overall, it had potential to be a decent meal, and compensation for what happened should have been offered.

We went here in March on a Saturday night and there was no one there. We weren't expecting much but had to be quick and we didn't think we would get a table anywhere else. The food is not fresh and quite bland. The worst thing is we saw a mouse come out of the wall and run towards the tables. I have a massive fear of mice/rats so we paid to quickly get out of there. Looking back now wish we didn't pay/asked for a discount.

Had a fab meal here with friends. Service was spot on and the food delicious. For central London prices reasonable too.

Fui allí con un amigo para un trabajo después de la. Nuestro camarero era fantástico. Pedí pollo a la milanesa, que era genial, aparte de estar acompañado por un puñado de pasta. Me quejé y amablemente nos dijeron que la pasta era simplemente un acompañamiento más que un plato principal. Pero el tema era ordenados como un plato principal y dice pechuga de pollo con pasta! La pasta es apenas tan caro me horroricé tener que pedir un poco más de pasta. . . . . Y para ser rechazados.

Repas pas désagréable avec le menu spécial midi : n’importe quelle pizza ou pasta plus une boisson. Nous avons pris des pizzas qui étaient bonnes mais sans plus. Personnel agréable et disponible et possibilité de menu enfant. Nous avons passé un bon moment sans non plus en garder un souvenir impérissable.

Was in the area and decided to find somewhere to eat came across this restaurant so decided to give it a try. All very friendly drinks ordered whilst looking at menu. Mainly pizzas but was fine for our group. I had calzone which when arrived was well cooked and tasteful. Decided to give puddings a miss all left well satisfied.

Primera visita a un Azzurro. Visitamos el almuerzo de domingo en 22 / 04 / 18. Pedimos calamares, boloñesa y queso.

Un día con los nietos y una visita al Shard. Azzurro está muy cerca y conveniente, hemos comido allí anteriormente. Visitamos después del almuerzo hora pico, así que era muy tranquila. Sin embargo, la comida salió extraordinariamente rápido, las pizzas eran de masa de pizza cruda por debajo, así que las dejamos y sólo nos cobraron una. La lasagna era agradable pero supongo eran zapped en el microondas. A veces hay comida rápida y una comida demasiado rápido.

Het eten was lekker, het personeel was zeer vriendelijk. Snelle bediening en prijs/kwaliteit zeker in orde.

El lugar parece como si nada especial - e "lo siento en noche entre semana y está justo al lado de la concurrida calle y centro comercial de envío pero anticipados agradable y acogedor cuando vas y encuentras un asiento o una mesa para la cena o en una silla cómoda con una bebida. Pocas horas Happyt ofrece que pasan todo el día, pero sólo están en las marcas de la casa. Las bebidas son razonables en el precio y el servicio es lo suficientemente eficiente.

I used to work in the area and having dropped off something close by, me and the other fella had a drink and then looked for a bite to eat. We used another site to find Azzurro, a discount site, and we were offered a table near the door, away from the other diners but after dithering, our host showed us to a nicer table.

Booked ahead for a table of seven on a Thursday night. First thing we noticed is that we were on a long table rather than round, so the seventh person was out on a limb at the end. A little bit of thought would have been appreciated.

We visited this restaurant following a visit to the Shard, which is nearby. After a slow start, as the staff were busy, we were given excellent service from the friendly staff. Our visit was on a Saturday; I expect that this establishment gets a lot busier on workdays as there are a lot of large office & commercial buildings in the area.

Nachdem sich dann irgendwann doch jemand vom Service für unseren Tisch zuständig fühlte, konnten wir nach langem Warten etwas bestellen. Wir hatten 3 verschiedene Pasta-Menus zum Lunch (1x glutenfrei). Die Penne Amatriciana waren eher "arrrrrrrabiata". Wenn man so scharfe Sauce auftischt, sollte es in der Karte auch entsprechend erwähnt werden oder vom Personal darauf hingewiesen werden. Immerhin wurde der Teller in eine entschärfte Version umgetauscht. Also war erneutes Warten angesagt. Wirklich gut war keines der 3 Menus und der Espresso, der nach einer weiteren Wartezeit endlich kam, war kalt.

Went here after the theatre for an early dinner. Massive restaurant but for some reason they put all the guests in one small area. Service was good if not a bit slow at time. The starters felt pre-prepared and not that fresh but the pasta was very good and did taste freshly made. Overall though it was better than average and the prices are good. I would go back just for a main course and a glass of wine.

I went there for a dinner with my boyfriend and the atmosphere was really sad. the music was litterally depressing and I think its a shame cause the place is not too bad. however, staff was nice. won’t be back anyway

Visited for lunch with my family with 4 young children. The venue was accommodating with regards to the children but unfortunately the food was very average for the price - one starter was cold and eventually returned and the service was very slow. Pizzas were ok. As an aside the toilets were also so tiny. We won’t be returning.

We had reserved a table for 5 but were squeezed onto a 4 seater. The welcome was friendly and there was no problem asking for ingredients to be added or removed from dishes.

Azzurro es el mejor lugar para ir a tomarse una en la zona del Puente de Londres. Si trabaja cerca está altamente recomendado. El personal es muy amable y profesional freendly siempre dispuesto para hacerle sentir como en casa. La comida italiana es muy bueno y tienen happy hour todos los días. Si nunca has estado no dude, Usted se sorprenderá.

After the London Bridge Experience we tried to the pub next door but it wasn’t appealing at all. So we tried to find somewhere else and came across Azzurro. It was lovely, the waiters are attentive and friendly, they were also patient with my brother with ADHD. Food was beautiful and filled me up. They have a great lunch time deal for around £11 for any pizza/pasta and a drink.

Its hard to find a decent food place so central so reasonably priced and staffed by caring, teamworking people.

It's always good to enter a restaurant, get a friendly greeting and be invited to sit where you wish (okay this was a quiet business time, so free tables, but it always irks me to be 'managed' when there is plenty of possible table choice). Tap water was brought straight away without having to ask and two of us soon took advantage of the lunch-time special offer. The third member of our party went for the generously sized arancini to start and all moved forward smoothly - drinks brought quickly and highly charming service throughout the meal. Comfortable seating without being perched on high, narrow stools or crammed beside the too-close surrounding tables (which might have been our fate if we went to our host's original choice of restaurants). We had only intended a fairly short lunch, but ended up spending far much longer enjoying the extra pleasures 'Azzurro' could provide

Easy to find italian restaurant near london bridge station. Staff were really friendly and helpful. Food was good washed down with a nice bottle of wine

Went in here for an early dinner before going onto The Shard. Initially tried to enter via the downstairs where I noticed a couple of staff playing around - very unprofessional for any restaurant. I was then directed upstairs to the ground floor entrance. On entering there was only one other table taken which helped to explain the lack of atmosphere in the place. We had booked but were told to sit anywhere by the waitress. I fancied a quick half of lager before having wine with my dinner but was put off by the fact they were asking £3.50 for a half when it was a respectable £5 odd a pint. The Chilean Sauvignon was nice and reasonably priced. My wife and I had minestrone soup which was cold and we both sent it back. When it then arrived it was at the right temperature but was very very spicy - very odd and did nothing for the taste. One of my daughters had the calamari which she said was nice; the other daughter having a selection of breads. There was a reasonable gap between courses which was a plus. Again I was disappointed with my main course the lasagne. Now call me old fashioned but I prefer mine with a bit of minced beef in however I really had to search for any filling in my lasagne. I dissected it sheet by sheet and there was hardly any filling. In addition the pasta was very stodgy - it was definitely not freshly cooked that day. I would go on to say that it was perhaps the worst lasagne I have ever had from an establishment that sells itself as a typical Italian restaurant. My wife's chicken risotto was nice without being anything special and my youngest daughters carbonara type dish was quite bland. My eldest daughter had chicken with potatoes and green beans which she said was really nice. The plus points for the restaurant was that they readily provided jugs of table water and the service was good up to a point. It was poor that they added service charge to the bill, although discretionary, and when the waitress provided me with the bill she stood by our table and asked me how would we like to pay BEFORE I HAD EVEN HAD A CHANCE TO LOOK AT THE BILL!!!!! All in all not a great experience and if you like traditional Italian food try somewhere else!!!

I popped in here for a quick coffe and mostly to look for a toilet in this area. I was welcomed by a friendly girl and she as most charming. Only had time for a quick coffee as I was meeting a friend but the food looked lovely. Would certainly try this out if I as going to The Shard. Coffee was great.

We enjoyed lunch here. The lunch special included a meal and drink. The restaurant should probably promote this a bit more amongst the surrounding businesses as it wasn't that full when we went.
