I had the best pizza I'd had in years in this great little unpretentious café close to the British Museum. The La Cappriciosa was just mouth-wateringly brilliant.

excellent food and lovely staff, very helpful and obliging. The food was really lovely and the salad served with the food was so tasty. Definitely going back when I'm in the area. Drinks were great too, smoothies were really good. Reasonably priced too for London.

This is a very tiny little spot just south of the British Museum. We got a great spot by the front door so we could do some people watching while eating. The food was very good. They offered a good variety for a very reasonable price.

Fiona D just said it right ! the owner is absolutely mental, makes staff cry in front of customers, the cakes are bought from Iceland and no food is fresh there, the staff rotation is so horrible that I wonder how many hundred girls have already quit it, and well to make it short the hygiene standards there are really low

Chose an independent rather than a chain but now regret it. Waitress friendly but food very poor. Some doubts about hygiene.

When in London we always have a debate a chain ( Starbucks / pret etc) or indie cafe for breakfast - I always bank on indie cafe. There are some brilliant ones around central London . This isn't one! We should have seen the warning signs - cheap non brand ketchup on the tables, pretty grubby. Charmless member of staff. Cheap bacon, even cheaper sausages ( goodness what was in them), It's near the British museum and am horrified if tourists find this- it's the cafe equivalent of a soho clip joint. The signs look good but it doesn't deliver and you feel ripped off afterwards. Avoid. There's a Starbucks around the corner

My sister and I visited this cafe with our kids for a cake break after a trip to the British museum and were very disappointed. Firstly the waitress only took an order from half the table. I went up to the counter to try and place the rest of the order but was told to go and sit down. When the waitress still didn’t appear I went back to the counter and finally persuaded them to take my order. We had cake and milkshakes, both of which cost £4 (not too bad for cake but I felt a bit overpriced for what was essentially a ‘crusha’ milkshake). Unfortunately the waitress forgot one of our slices of cake and by this point we couldn’t be bothered to chase it up so went without. When we went to pay we mentioned the missing slice of cake so we didn’t get charged for it and a man (I presume the owner / manager?) went mad, took the waitress to the middle of the cafe (which was right by our table) and gave her a right rollocking in a very loud voice. It’s only a small cafe so it was extremely uncomfortable. I can only guess he was more bothered by the loss of income than the bad service as he walked right past us without apologising.Would most definitely not visit again.

Chaotic serving area though staff were doing a fair job. Wanted to order some of the nice looking cake but it was displayed unprotected just inches from the faces of queuing customers so wasn't going to take the risk with COVID and colds about!

Stopped in for a light lunch after visiting the British museum. We ordered onion rings and the fish and chips to share. The service was the best we've had while in London, the food was hot, fresh, and delicious. The lettuce that was garnish for the onion round was fresh and crisp and made a great salad. The fish was cooked perfectly, so crispy, and had flavor. The chips were hot and some of the best we've had in London. We would return if in London again.

After a long day traveling, The Royal George was our first stop in London. So glad we did. Friendly Scottish banter, Ged and Sam couldn’t do enough for me and my family. If you are in the area, be sure to pay this place a visit. You won’t be disappointed We’ll be back 👍
