La Mina in Cardiff

I went here with my family and it was awful! They ask if you want salt and pepper I said yes they did not give me any! No place to sit! Messy baguette and dry chicken 🍗 !! DO NOT RECOMMEND

Go somewhere else. Take your money and order but don’t deliver and don’t answer their phone. Avoid at all costs. Shocking service.

Back at home visiting family so was a no brainier to visit Remember this place as great value with stunning food Today’s experience , my partner and I ordered a salad box meal deal (£8.30 ) was given a few mouth fulls in a large tub Hate to say this but everyone in front of me food looked very filling so I believe it’s a case of what you look like

We visited this place after being recommended by a friend. The atmosphere was not very welcoming at all. There are no menus on the walls to look at before you go to the counter. The woman who served us was very rude and abrupt. My husband explained we'd never been before and wanted a juice or a smoothie ! Then we asked for a salad box we weren't sure whether you could get a mix of the chicken or had to choose one ? Surely it would be better to explain to customers we had to ask what each of the chicken flavours were! Nothing is labelled ...so confusing ? They ask you if you want butter on the baguette and it is margarine (we both hate margarine) very expensive as well. Came to £20 for 2 chicken salads and 2 juices. Would have preferred a subway or greggs for half the price to be honest. Always looking forward to trying somewhere new but sadly this experience was not good ! Been there , tried it but will not be returning or recommending to friends.

Visited last week. No social distancing- there are marking on the floor and a rope but they were calling customers to the front (like Subway used to do when they were busy) to place an order when others were still being served, couraging/forcing customers to bunch up and mix.

A popular place to get a baguette or salad or baked spud. A decent choice of fillings and reasonably priced too. Will definitely use again.

Love this place so much, always amazing, by far the best baguette place ive ever been to, theres such a variety and never fails!

Food here is good and well priced. Nice customisation in your order but a lack of good vegetarian options and a bland falafel means I can't award five stars. I would however eat there again and be very satisfied with the service.

La Mina has a great selection of salad and baguette fillings including different flavour chicken, potato salad, pasta dishes, lamb and mint, coleslaw, hummus and so much more. La mina is very popular in the Roath area especially in the lunch time rush. Food always tastes amazing and is great value for money. It’s defiantly a must visit if you fancy a baguette In Cardiff as they are defiantly the best.

I had a wrap and thought it was lovely. layout could be better, good choice of meat or salad. Would recommend

Everyone can make a sandwich lets face it, the reason you go out to buy one is because it's suppose to be better. but depending on who you get at Minas will have a huge impact on whether your getting delicious or very below par, my past two visits Iv had the same moody rushed woman who has ripped wholes in the bread, put a pointless skim of butter on one side of bread then filled it so loosely with dry chicken the entire thing isn't glued together, falls apart on this occasion went straight in my bin and I went to Sainsbury's and bought one there. Never ever returning.. she needs replacing

I love it, the wife loves it, the kids love it, do i need to say more. they have a range of salad and baguette fillings to choose from. we love the chicken tikka baguette, has been our favuorite for many many years.

Just scrumptious with baguette. Staff work under pressure when busy but always courteous. Baguettes filled with everything fresh as well as tasty and good size portions with value for money

You can tell the baguettes are fresh, and they have so many different choices of chicken flavours e.g. Spicy chicken, Mexican chicken, BBQ chicken, curried chicken etc etc. I had a brown baguette with Mexican chicken and all the salad options, really really good, not too spicy but tangy and tasty. 4/5 👍

I frequent this baguette shop often for lunch at work. A decent selection of fillings and reasonably priced meal deals. There can be a fairly hefty queue at lunch time but that's testament to its popularity! I am now a seasoned regular!

Good place for a sandwich or baguette. Very popular at lunchtime and there can be a long queue. But that's testament to its popularity. There are high stools at the window if you aren't in that much of a hurry.
