Mostly crowded and poor service

Massive swings between good and bad food, no consistency in weather you get cold or hot food, and hot drinks are just as bad.

Unfortunately was sold cold fries, don’t really understand how that is hard to miss?

You always know what you're getting and it's easy.

Staff member who served me was uninterested in his job, needs training on customer service

A missing chilli burger and missing fries and no straws with the order. Poor service and unacceptable really.

Sadly they do not sell any Dr Pepper and that is terrible how they’ll sell other drinks but not dr pepper

The worst McDonald's restaurant I would say. Tables not cleaned from the night before. Bins full and not emptied. Dirty toilets at times. Really poor service - noone on the front desk area leading to customers having to ask for service. Poorly managed by someone who clearly needs management / customer service training. To update, two months later and still the worst McDonald's I've visited. Arriving at 7.30, tables dirty and bins full. Asked manager to clean, she was rude saying she'd only just arrived. I asked for a cloth to clean it myself and she replied that she would do it....she didn't. Awful manager who has previous for rudeness, probably think she's too good to clean...she isn't. It took the helpful front of house to come in at 8.00 and clean. Surely the manager should ensure seating area is clean as her first priority?

After a failed delivery from a previous order just less than an hour ago I was grateful that the driver turned up at all and in good time.

I ordered McDelivery from this outlet and I received my burger and kids meal without nothing. No straw for drink No tissue Not even a single ketchup What a waste/ what kind of people/ never going to order McDelivery. This was first time I tried the McDelivery. Spoiled my lunch and my mood

The service is so slow at this particular site at Cardiff gate. I’ve been here Number times and always waiting at least 20 minutes half hour for food to come when sitting in.

Bad service Very slow and rude team members

The night staff one guy and another girl was very bad service they take long time smoking outside but other side the customer are waiting if you ask them when they back from break they said they dont know anything they don’t even know how to behave with customers. I don’t know how McDonald’s give job to this type people. Very bad service for night if you came at night for food then you will realise what I mean Cheers

Order took 2 hours to arrive. I drove to the restaurant and the staff were rude and unhelpful.

Whilst Just eat do their job and get the food delivered promptly McDonalds Pontprennau once again serve up cold fries, burger and Chicken Selects!! Wrong or no sauces for Selects too! No straws for drinks either!! I’ve yet to have the correct order or even one that’s hot from this McDonalds! So Pontprennau McDonalds Cardiff please sort yourselves out!! Just Eat though can’t fault you or the delivery driver, that’s the only thing that went ok!

I assure you, any other McDonald’s is better than this one,after literally 20 minutes of waiting at a non busy time, got my burger completely wrong and forgot my 6 chicken nuggets, was stuck with 2 crying children when I got home, worst part is this is not the first time this McDonald’s makes a mistake with my order, should I learnt to chose a new McDonald’s the first time however now I’m 100% sure the chances I have gave this restaurant was a complete waste of my time.

Shocked to write this, but the food was warm, the order was correct, the chip portions were full plus I got a straw AND a dip!!!! Totally shook.

My experience of McDonalds takeaway service is really BAD. No straws , no sauces no serviettes and 80% of the time only warm if you eat it quickly .I feel we are treated as SECOND class citizens. My problem is I really like a burger McDonald should give more training to staff . As takeaway service is bigger since COVID lockdown and need vast improvement

bland boring no flavor, Patti thin like paper and floppy, no seasoning just a bland cardboard taste to burger, no love in mc Donald's burger no more, chips not frys no more, pale nearly white looking floppy no seasoning again very disappointed feels like Mc Donald's lost its identity and lost the love in their food. understand high turnover so they shrank stuff and they trying to be healthier by removing ingredients but they basically lost theirselfs in higher demands and lost the love 😟

Delivery was great. Food came and nothing was missing, I even had sauces and straws!

SHOCKING SERVICES. Sent wrong order and said there’s nothing they can do when I rang up and I know just eat won’t refund me. The drink was spilt as well

Everytime I order the driver rings and says he's there I spend so much time going from the front to the back and the driver nowhere to be seen only for him to call and say he's lost and I will have to find him to pick my food up when I eventually get my food it's cold not worth it

I have a feeling it might have been a Just-Eat issue, but advertised 15-30 minutes, ordered at 8:56am, arrived at 10:36am. Constant flux of updated estimated order time with no reason and importantly no option to cancel updated to be very late

I’ve said this before but nothing ever changes. SOME OF THE DRIVERS DO NOT BRING THE ORDER TO THE DOOR AND I HAVE TO GO OUTSIDE TO COLLECT THE FOOD. IT’S NOT GOOD ENOUGH

Ordered for the family yet again for the second time this establishment messed up again by missing an item, I cannot understand that the receipt confirms the items required yet clearly this is not followed, I would rather members of staff taking their time to ensure all items are included, this happened first time and I wanted to give the benefit of the doubt as first time errors but a second time. I can happily say I will be going elsewhere as clearly staff are not competent to follow a receipt in black and white for confirmation or even on a digital screen is beyond me. If you order your food online, be prepared for missing items, and yet the restaurant don't even pick up the phone. Would rate 0 if able to do so, disappointing is an understatement.

My brother's food was warm, however an item missing. My food was cold.

Took nearly an hour to deliver and when it turned up, was completely the wrong food. Tried to call the restaurant multiple times but no answer. So I’ve paid £20 for no food and cannot get through to McDonald’s

For the second time my nuggets had no dip and the delivery driver wanted me to go out to meet him to collect my order. I had to insist that he came to my front door as I had no shoes on. Not the first time this has happened either

Recientemente visité el McDonald's en Cardiff Gate y estaba extremadamente decepcionado. El restaurante estaba muy sucio, con mesas y pisos no limpiados correctamente. Peor aún, había un fuerte olor a fumar en el interior, lo que hizo que toda la experiencia fuera incómoda. Está claro en las fotos que tomé que el lugar no está siendo mantenido correctamente. Definitivamente no regresaré pronto. Esperaba una mejor limpieza y un ambiente más agradable de un #McDonald's.

**Disappointing Experience at McDonald's Cardiff Gate** I recently visited the McDonald's at Cardiff Gate and was extremely disappointed. The restaurant was very dirty, with tables and floors not properly cleaned. Even worse, there was a strong smoking smell inside, which made the entire experience uncomfortable. It's clear from the pictures I took that the place is not being maintained properly. Definitely won't be returning anytime soon. I expected better cleanliness and a more pleasant environment from a #McDonald's.

Each time we order in person takes at least half an hour for a happy meal. Ridiculous. Drive through is horrendous and they always get part of the order wrong. I understand it’s very busy but seems no organisation or structure to getting good ready. Too slow. But a good Times.

AMAZING customer service from manager Hannah after our just eat driver was rude and forgot over half of our order may I add that it was over £60 and only got given 2 bags?! We have young children and one with a severe heart condition… she made sure that we had our food and made it fresh after he had to go back after rudeness and ignorance Thank you Hannah ☺️

Not 24/7 wanted food at 4am after work. Edit: does anyone actually work here lol waited 10+ minutes at the window at 4:15am no answer. Not like you're busy at that time of day. Quite possibly the worst branch ever.

I live 3 miles from the retailer, it was late and the food was cold when I received it.

Despite being advertised as 24 hour service my husband and I have tried to come to the drive through only to be told that they are closed (even though there is staff and the place is seemingly open). not the end of the world but if this is the case please change your times. thanks

Fed up of never getting the full order and not getting a refund.

Half of the food arrived, and it took more than an hour to arrive! The McDonald’s is a 6 minute drive away and the driver was there ‘waiting’ for more than 35 minutes. Really disappointed with this takeaway, won’t be ordering from here ever again.
