Had a brilliant meal here with family. The only thing that let it down for me was the garlic bread. It was like a pizza but was expecting more like handmade and out of shape, if that makes sense, with lots of flavour, but it was just like a free garlic bread when you order a take away, and I find them a bit tasteless. Would definitely go again x

Great food and attentive service.

La comida es muy buena. El servicio es bueno. La cerveza es buena. Pero si necesitas el baño, ve antes de que explotes porque solo hay 1 inodoro para hombres y mujeres. Un baño para un lugar que atiende a mucha gente no es bueno. Por suerte tengo una vejiga fuerte.

Visita de regreso para nosotros. Aparcamiento de un sueño como siempre un montón de plazas en el aparcamiento privado. Gran desayuno todo en los platos servidos en tubería caliente, muy bien presentado y buenos tamaños de porciones (no demasiado pequeño y también no caerse de los platos) El personal es muy cálido y amable tanto con los nuevos clientes como con los habituales. Personalmente me encanta la broma entre el personal y los clientes. Es solo desayuno, pero... Es perfecto y se sirve en un gran ambiente y lo mejor de todo - a precios razonables.

Best tacos I've had filled with beef and peppers and mushrooms and the shells remained crunchy the whole time instead of going soggy. Really good portion size as I was left stuffed. The staff were lovely and our drinks and food arrived pretty fast at the table considering it was 9 people.

Fantastic lunch with my wife and my mum. First time we’ve tried it and perfect for lunch. Two of us had pizzas which were light in texture as they were gluten free and we’ll be back soon!

Quiet loud stuck between a hen do and birthday party. Carbonara’s portion size weren’t measured and bland. Service only asked how the meal was at the end not during as usual places would do.

Went today for a 30th birthday and it was fantastic. Food was absolutely gorgeous, service was amazing, and they made a lovely fuss of the birthday girl. Would definitely go back

me and my boyfriend picked this spot for a date night and had a fabulous time to say the least! we ordered the halloumi to start, just to share, which i thought was lovely. he had a peroni, and i had a drink called something like the ‘rainbow paradise,’ - fyi, if you order this, you are supposed to mix it! i made the mistake of not doing that and ended up drinking straight vodka 😂 next, we had the bolognese and lasagna respectively - i thought mine was nice but the flavour wasn’t super powerful, he thought his was amazing. portions very generous for the price! i ordered a drink with melon liqueur in it from the cocktail menu, emerald something, and that was very refreshing and the man who brought it out was lovely, as was everyone who served us. overall, it was a very pleasant meal and experience in a nice area with attentive but not pushy staff - definitely recommend! only criticisms i can think of is sometimes tables can be very close, but really had no issue with it!

We had our first visit to LaMama yesterday evening. We were a group of 10 friends celebrating a birthday. It was a fabulous evening! The food,service and atmosphere was outstanding. We were all served at the same time and everything was delicious and beautifully presented. The staff are so friendly and they really made us feel welcome. They had a female singer who was fantastic she sang for most of the night. We are already planning our return! Thank you La Mama for a lovely evening

It was amzing we went for my dad's birthday and the staff were so funny and amzing the steak and mushroom pasta was so yummy and the garlic mushrooms were so juicy and the portions are absolutely huge and you definitely get what you pay for definitely coming back here again it was perfect and it's funny when they sing happy birthday definitely recommend if it someone's birthday go and take them here!!!

First visit this evening for my birthday, definitely will not be my last. Staff are very pleasant and welcoming, food was very good. Large portions which was a surprise for the prices. I had the garlic mushrooms, followed by the steak pasta which was very enjoyable. Menu is not over complicated something to suit everyone's taste, not loads of silly options you know are just microwaved meals. Would definitely recommend

Absolutely lovely staff, who have worked there for some time, they know their regulars and it's lovely how they interact with you. They have changed their menu so there is more variety of dishes as they offer kebab style meals and grills now. I may have chosen the wrong pasta dish because it was a bit too buttery or oily for me and I felt I had to wipe my lips after each mouthful. This wouldn't stop me from returning though as I will know to choose a different dish, perhaps a tomato based one instead or an option from the grill. The pizzas look good and the presentation of food is very good. The menu is small and a bit limited but I'm sure the staff can tailor a meal to suit preferences. They also had specials when I went so there is this extra option of food too. I tend to visit this restaurant on special occasions, I'll be happy to return though as I won't let this one off experience put me off See you soon ☺️

We drove around Standish looking for somewhere, last minute, and came across this place. Upon entering we were greeted by friendly staff who were happy to accommodate us without a booking. The restaurant was lively and busy and had a great atmosphere with the usual staff birthday singsong for those birthday parties. We ordered starters and mains. Olives, bread and hummus and bruschetta. Followed by a tasty pizza and a delicious chicken Arrabbiata. Washed down with a lovely white wine for me and a refreshing cider for my hubby. One of the young servers got my wine wrong but couldn’t apologise enough and the others servers were all super friendly too. We will defo return for the lovely food, atmosphere and staff again soon. Visiting from Australia, our friends Brian and Joanne took us here for dinner. The service was excellent. Food delicious and a very friendly atmosphere. Highly recomeended

We had a lovely meal to celebrate a family birthday the staff are friendly and accommodating and nothing was too much trouble. The food was amazing so we will return and try out the recommendation of the Italian white wine Pecorino.

Delicious food, good portion sizes and great service. I had the chicken risotto, it was delicious and the salted caramel cheesecake. They were so lovely to my 2 year old granddaughter too. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

Early evening, so understandably not many people in. The service was excellent and all the staff very friendly. Food was ok, but lacked flavour.

The food was absolutely gorgeous and as I am coeliac, I had plenty of choices to choose from. The staff was very friendly and attentive. It’s always a lovely experience dining at La Mama!

My partner and I enjoyed a lovely dinner. Food was delicious, I had a steak which was cooked just perfect, I could tell the chef is very capable. The atmosphere nice and staff was helpful and friendly, will definitely come back.

Evening with friends. Went off the reviews but would not revisit. Very busy Friday night with singer on (too loud with bad reverb on the speakers) competing with already high noise level. Pizzas resembled supermarket pizza, not very much topping and didn’t seem freshly made as in other restaurants. Staff very nice indeed but service slow as very busy. Not value for money at all considering the quality of the pizzas. Drinks also expensive - £10.45 for most cocktails. Wow.

Had a fabulous night last night at their first Turkish theme night. Food was fantastic and plenty of it. Live singer and belly dancer were amazing as well as the Turkish music, lots if people up dancing. Service fantastic as always. Highly recommended.

Very friendly atmosphere and amazing food

The service was good. Friendly and efficient staff. The garlic bread pizza and the main pizza were both disappointing. The taste, texture and appearance all resembled a supermarket frozen pizza and didn't seem very authentic. It wasn't what I expected and had I known, I'd have ordered pasta, or just gone to the supermarket and gone home to eat instead.

We have just had a brilliant night, our food was excellent. The staff are so lovely. We couldn't get a taxi and one of the guys gave us a lift. I'm ashamed to say I didn't get his name but I'll be eternally grateful for his kind deed.

My friends and I visited on 8 Dec, the food was amazing, steak cooked to perfection and high quality. Service was outstanding and the best atmosphere with live music. Was very impressed and will be returning soon!!

Well located and parking available. Decent selection on the menu but over priced for the quality of what you get. Some orders were forgotten and then bill wrong at the end of night.

Food and service was lovely really tasty we all had main and dessert went with family one of our party didn't feel to well so didn't feel like eating much only had soup no problem for them and no complaints or pushy sales they worked round it great atmosphere and service thanks for an excellent meal I really enjoyed mine very nice chicken mexicana 😘

Resonably priced restaurant with a good choice of fine wines and beverages along with nice food dishes served conscientiously too, well worth a visit if your in the area, hopefully we will dine here again sometime.

Everything was fabulous, and staff couldn't have done more for you. Everydish served looked amazing, and no one had anything bad to say about their dish.

Organised a meal here for 50 people, despite the large number the food was fantastic, everything cooked to perfection and excellent service. Absolutely cannot be faulted and the pina coladas are brilliant too! Will definitely re-visit.

Lovely restaurant and staff , a lovely roast a few weeks ago and We also had breakfast here this weekend and it was so good , the staff are so kind and helpful , they seat us in a corner always as I'm deaf , really appreciate this as I can hear my hear my family alot better !! Highly recommend!

Went for brunch on Mother's Day without a reservation and managed to get a table. Had 2 English breakfasts, which were lovely. Service was good. The actual restaurant was quite loud with music.

Food is ok staff are pretty good but it took 2hrs to get served our mains. And it was not that busy a table of 6 came in after us and had their meal and left before we got ours!

Fantastic food. Three friends had pre booked and we got our table on arrival at 7pm. It was just beginning to fill up with Christmas parties too. Immediate service with menus and drinks and quick to take our orders. We all had different starters but my two friends had the chicken skewers. Mine was Chicken Stroganoff with rice. Very tasty food. I will certainly come back again. At the end of the meal, after we had paid, we were offered a complimentary Limonchello which I love. This was a nice touch from very attentive and friendly staff. Well done.

We've visited many times before but not for a while. The service is excellent and friendly and the food has always been very good however they're now using tasteless frozen chips instead of home cut cooked chips that they used before...they were delicious. This does really spoils the meal.

Unfortunately I was very disappointed with my recent visit to La Mama's, before now I have never had a bad experience here but our visit here this weekend was carnage to say the least. I had booked a table for a surprise meal for our friend, eleven of us in total. Prior to our arrival I had asked if we was able to come in and set the table with decorations before being seated and was told it wasn't a problem, we turned up 5-10 mins early to decorate and there was still a full table of people only just giving their dessert orders to the waiter on our allocated table - meaning we had to stall our friend from turning up early and ruining the surprise! We eventually got seated 15 minutes after our reservation, and was asked if I'd pre-ordered our food (which I had) but was told I hadn't, but eventually that was resolved. Our pregnant friend ordered a virgin mojito for it then to arrive with alcohol in it, also unacceptable. 8/11 starters came and we'd all finished our dishes before the remaining three starters arrived. The list goes on... the restaurant was unfortunately over-booked, and out of control really. It's sad because I would never feel the need to write a negative review but our experience was very negative and I won't be returning for a while.

Myself and the Mrs dined here on Saturday morning. What a wonderful breakfast they do here. I never even knew they did a breakfast or was open in the mornings. Would certainly recommend the large breakfast, it was extremely good and not over priced. Staff was lovely.

Lovely place but must admit the lasagna and chicken Burger were both very bland. Disappointing.

Very slow service ruined our meal organised for my wife’s birthday. Food was ok when it arrived but could have had better for less than half the price from local takeaways. No wonder hospitality is on its knees.
