Food was amazing staff outstanding couldn’t do enough for our family definitely recommend definitely returning as everyone’s food look delicious and was hot

Nuestra primera visita a pesar de que hemos vivido a unas pocas millas de distancia durante más de veinte años. Tuvimos un almuerzo muy agradable. Tuve un pastel de carne casero muy bueno lleno de carne sabrosa en una pastelería muy buena. Sirve con patatas fritas, repollo y una olla de salsa. Fue realmente muy bueno. Mi esposa tenía el gammon que ella también disfrutaba, servido con papas fritas gruesas, guisantes, piña y huevo. Basándonos en nuestra primera experiencia, sin duda volveríamos en algún momento.

Quite a rustic locals pub, but don't be put off. The food is fantastic & all the staff are friendly and helpful.

Realmente feliz que probamos este lugar después de nuestro paseo por Borsdane Woods. Sentado fuera con nuestro perro para almorzar en su jardín de cerveza. Pequeña zona protegida con calentadores. Gran menú, muy buena, sabrosa comida y buen servicio - el camarero incluso trajo algunas delicias para nuestro perro. Definitivamente volveré.

Me and my wife went today. Very good quality. I was expecting pub food but was happy to see the food was not. This was restaurant quality. No to ways about it. The only downside for me was, I'd of liked more food options. But what we had was 💯. Well done to the staff.

Absolutely great place, superb staff, atmosphere is spot on, would recommend to anyone who wants a bite to eat, as the food is absolutely brilliant and very tasty. Dog friendly as well which is a bonus. Well done to The Gerrard Arms.

Ligeramente caro para lo que pedimos y conseguimos, decepcionado para ser honesto. La comida era mediocre, esperando 45 minutos por la comida y sin embargo nadie más estaba comiendo en ese momento

A wonderful Sunday dinner with very reasonably priced options for 2 or 3 courses. We were a group of 5, sampling beef and gammon & everybody was really happy with the quality. The meal wasn't the largest - a bit more veg would have been appreciated, but this was overshadowed by the quality. Fully recommended. Bear in mind the pub is fairly small and as there are people going just to drink it can be quite noisy with pub banter.

Just had a drink with friends and it was great. No pressure to eat.

We used to go here years ago for their tapas.... we passed by this afternoon and hadn't booked... they were very accommodating and got us a table... we didn't opt for tapas because it didn't appeal to us on this occasion. I had Lamb Kofta flat bread... came with chips and was very very tasty.... and big... deffo value for money. The hubby had Steak and Blue cheese baguette.... he said it was nice and the cheese was properly melted, rather than added at the end. They do Wed to Fri 5pm to 8pm £18 for 3 tapas... usually £7.50 each!

We love it here at The Gerrard! The food is outstanding and the service is impeccable. Had a walk in Borsdane woods and then Sunday lunch, it was so good!

Brilliant atmosphere. (Great food and beer) . We normally sit outside and enjoy the sun with a nice cold pint. :-) The sides of salt and pepper chips and the prawns are always on the list.

Llegamos aquí el bar estaba ocupado, así que tomamos asiento, el camarero vino directamente nos trajo un menú nos preguntó qué nos gustaría beber increíble servicio al cliente. La comida era increíble y a un precio razonable no puedo esperar a nuestra próxima visita

Can't really comment on the atmosphere as it was in the afternoon in the middle of the week so wasn't many people in there.

Nice place, food good as was the service.

Wow what can I say other than it's horrendous. The toilets have no doors because they have a Peruvian problem I believe. I had to leave my drink and go home because nature called and I needed a number 2. Wear a nappy if you plan to visit

Visited the gerrard with two of my friends, the food was lovely but really upset with the service, after we ate we went outside and I asked the waiter if I needed to go to the bar to order a drink as we had just had table service, his reply was “yes I’m busy can’t you see?” There was no need for the response and it embarrassed me, my friends also commented he had been rude and impatient with us too.

Food is absolutely delicious. Home cooked. Red hot. Always served by a gentleman who is very pleasant. The cocktails are lovely and the atmosphere is always very friendly.

Great but music playlist needs to be more contemporary and varied

Great eating house and a must visit. BORSDANE WOODS is next door and the place is very welcoming.

Food ok not great unfortunately, no table check to see if our food was ok. Would I recommend probably not.

Enjoyed the food and beer, the staff were welcoming and efficient. My only regret was ordering extra onion rings because I was too full to be able to eat them all.

Previously wrote a disappointing review. However many thanks to Craig for taking our complaints on board. Great bloke very friendly with fabulous customer service skills. Our meals tonight were excellent. Our dog adores the doggie dinners

Really good food. Didn’t take any photos as too busy eating it. My fella had braised steak, said it was the nicest he’d ever had I had salt and pepper chicken noodles My daughter had chilli and garlic king prawns with garlic bread I’m not a a fan of cheese cake but had the mixed berry one and I could have eating all of the full one. Very light and yummy

Rather pricey menu and in my view not worth the money . Drinks prices were good . Service was fine and the place is very clean.

It's such a friendly and cosy place to go on every occasion. Staff are really great nothing is too much trouble and food excellent. It's not over priced and worth every penny, summer or winter it never disappoints. 5* for a country place to eat or just for drinks.

The food was really nice and the service was excellent however we were subjected to a barrage of foul mouthed langue by a group of men sat at the bar. We had our granddaughter with us and it was so embarrassing and not one of the staff members asked them to tone their language down. They looked like they were regulars which has really put us off returning!

Absolutely fantastic. A great atmosphere. We phoned ahead to let then know we would be a little bit late. No problem. The food was gorgeous, small plates if you didn't have a big appetite and service was bang on.

Had a lovely meal here with my wife and two boys. We had the beef Sunday roast. Everything was homemade and cooked well. The service was also very good. Drink and food orders were taken quickly and both arrived promptly. It’s a proper traditional pub doing proper pub food which is a rare thing these days.

Great place for a drink, food not as good as it usual but still ok. Bar and service staff rushed off there feet no sign of any management.

Okay nice place apart from being bothered by flies...

Went for lunch a couple of weeks ago very disappointed with what I got I ordered the club sandwich which was basically 2 slices of toasted bread with a chicken breast inside & a couple of bacon lardons no chips either just a small bowl of crisps the standards have definitely dropped since I last went in I won't be eating here again

Visited with our walking group. 17 in our party. Despite pre- ordering we had to wait over an hour for our food. I'd finished mine before my husband got his. Wouldn't go again

I recently visited the Gerrard Arms Pub for a meal and a drink, and I must say, it was a delightful experience. A lovely pub restaurant, with a super choice always been a pleasant choice but years since my last visit must make it regular. If your taking, your animal friend, its animal friendly!! Nice to see it hasn't changed !! Well 2nd stay not good only 2 nights the room 1 was cold reported to reception gone through start up it didn't work and didn't work and reported again !! Breakfast was left, was delivered to table, so solid eggs, cold sausage even dog wouldnt eat em so fruit taken to keep me going sooo thought Breakfast at Stadium tomorrow, bad decision a school was there all hot Breakfast was a none starter no one on Reception... e mail to Premier inn!! Hoo god ohh yes £9.99 back 3 - 5 working days I wonder if they would let me stay and then pay !!! I dont think so!!

Great pub, great food. Doesn't seem to be as clean as it once was. Noticed abit of food scraps under the table. Toilets smelled abit.

We always visit this place for a drink or food after a dog walk through Borsdane Wood. It is a really great quality of food at a good price, definitely recommend.

What can I say first time visiting and definitely won't be the last, all staff very welcoming and friendly great service from start too finish. The food was absolutely beautiful complements to the chef. Thank you all. Sorry couldn't leave a tip that you all deserved didn't bring cash my and my partner owe use next time we visit. This was our very first valentine's together and use made is extra special with the service and food. Thanks again

Absolutely bob on pub ..Great food always excellent service .decent selection of drinks...always plenty of people in..there's a new outside area being built which will just add to an already very decent local pub. Dog friendly too as Borsdane Woods is only 2 mins away . Thoroughly recommend it.

Been here a couple of times for food & for the Tuesday quiz night. The staff are lovely, with friendly fast service. The food is amazing with generous portions and a delicious taste, you can always tell the food is cooked from fresh. Will definitely be returning!

Went here for a family meal (20 of us), because of the large booking we all had to pre-order what meals we were having a few days before. The food was absolutely delicious, the only problem was that some of us had finished our meals before others received theirs. This shouldn't have happened considering all the meals were pre-ordered. Would definitely go again, but not as a large party.

The gentleman on the phone was so helpful and lovely, he didn’t moan about my questions (some places do). Arrived and greeted by a lovely lady, nothing was too much trouble, really was service with a smile. Cannot wait to visit again. It’s about 25 minutes from where I live but worth the drive for the excellent service and quality of food.

Five of us visited the Gerrard Arms after a three hour walk. We had a very friendly welcome. The beer was great, the man in charge was attentive and my friends all declared their various meals to be excellent. My cajun chicken Greek salad was absolutely fantastic. The chicken was beautifully moist and the salad was delicious. I can thoroughly recommend.

We moved close to the Gerrard in September and it really is an amazing local. The service is lovely, everyone is always so friendly and the food is always top notch. Would highly recommend!

Not the best …. Soup was good can’t complain about that starter prawns sweet chilli was ok garlic bread was a small portion and chilli wasn’t very spicy main courses skinny fries was standard but very cold quickly and wasn’t many we had two steak baguette steak was tough and hard to chew but Stilton was strong .. chicken burger was just ok as for deserts cheesecake not much flavour very mouse like but wouldn’t say I’d never go back but not something I would rush back too
