Victoria pub barnt green Donner very poor, vegetable curry. Rice clogged together and only a spoonful of curry on. Waitress said she's come to ask how meal was whilst we were eating, bit she didn't. Very disappointed. I take friends there as live near but won't again.

We ordered a ice cream cake which was a slab of ice cream in shape of a cake. My 5 year old could have done that at home using a cake tin !! I paid £37 for ice cream in shape of a cake ! I normally use Baskin Robins and will continue using them as supporting small businesses you don’t get heard when you complain. Owners attitude was so bad and he was very arrogant. I expected a cake with Ice cream as filling instead I got a slab of ice cream ! Avoid and save your money !!! My husbands birthday ruined !!!

We brought our kids here for an ice cream and asked if we could have two flavors in one scoop. The answer was a blunt ‘NO!’ We were offered instead two “bambino “ scoops so that we could have two flavors. When we paid we were each charged for two children’s ice creams which cost more than an adult double. There was no apology and no room for compromises. We even heard one of the waitresses call a client “idiot “ behind his back. All in all a negative experience, £5.20 each for a children’s ice cream is not even central London prices. A part from all this, the place has no atmosphere and the ice cream is mediocre. Definitely not a place we will ever come back to.

Been a regular here for ages & always enjoy the fresh ice creams & pastries . They were always made fresh in the premises. New change in ownership has seen a decline recently. The service was great prompt & efficient. My ice cream arrived with a slimy coating showing it had been sitting in the freezer for ages. £4 a scoop is not cheap for ice cream either. The pastries not as fresh and delicate as before. Seems they are bought in. Great looking coffee shop with good ambiance however. I will still go for coffee alone & nothing else.

A small independent ice cream parlour come coffee shop, that shows the chains how to do it properly. A few doors down from a Baskin Robbins La Dolce Vita is a refreshing change, the choices and quality of the ice cream is exceptional, and they are also great if you just want a coffee. With a wide selection of sandwiches, toasties and cakes, all at reasonable prices, and freshly prepared, it has everything you need for a snack or a light meal

I was fortunate to meet the owner who explained to me her love for Italy. You can surely see the Italian passion in all the food prepped at this beautiful cafe. The place closes at 11am and at 10.59, the front door was left open making it clear it was time to leave (it was 2 degrees so very cold)! Not appropriate for a chilled out coffee!

Hey, I've lived in hatch end for a couple of years and last summer I discovered Dolce Vita. Since that time every single day I pop in here and have my coffee or jasmine tea with a piece of cheesecake. I absolutely love this place and it makes my day when I start it with a take away coffee cup. The owner and the staff are friendly and caring, they know already what I would like and would cheer me up if it's a rainy day outside. Same other way around. Happy to be here and spend "family quality time" in Dolce Vita. Recommended. I also like eating bagels with smoked salmon, the cakes, ice cream and coffee are the best! For dining out I'd go to a restaurant though. For the breakfast, I'd come here as they have great omelette ;) and for fine eaters - English breakfast (too big for me)! Visited this small cafe mid-afternoon. I wanted an ice cream but saw a notice by the cabinet saying that ices contained soya. I can't eat soya so asked the waitresss if all the ices contained it. At first she said, quite rudely, that none of them did, so I asked her to check. But her English was so poor that I just couldn't understand which, if any, were soya-based, So I asked for a cheese and ham toastie. No - they were out of bread. I agreed to a pannini instead, but when it arrived it was a very hard stale ciabatta. At £4.95, including a side salad and crisps, it was reasonably priced, but not what I had ordered or wanted. I did eat it but only because I didn't want yet more hassle. I wouldn't recommend this place at all - poor choice of food, really bad service.

I visited on a Sunday afternoon with my son and daughter, normally we would go to Indulge in Pinner but given it can be a long wait at times, we knew this place would be quieter. We asked for a single scoop of ice cream in a cone, and my son then asked for smarties toppings. The cold response from the lady serving us was that it was very hard to get any toppings to stick on a cone, and she would still charge us regardless of how many stuck on. Before I had a chance to explain this to my young son, she had already started topping the cone. I thought at least she would hand any smarties that failed to stick, but she just threw them in the bin. At a charge of 50p, the least she could do is return them to me..given I had paid for them!Compare this to Indulge, who not only managed to get a whole ice cream scoop topped generously, they also gave a little bowl of smarties on the side for my daughter...free of charge! I guess that's why that place has a 30 minute wait and this one doesn't.

My husband and I decided to go out for coffee and waffles. We had driven past la dolce vita a few times. Anyway upon arrival it was empty ( weird for saturday evening) we ordered a waffle with choc sauce and extra banana. The owner told us there would be extra charge for the banana. Off he went and made a coffee for my husband which was cold. And an Earl Grey tea for me which was horrible cold and so weak and he gave a tea time to monitor how strong I wanted my tea. So I left it for 5 minutes for strong and it went cold. He then asked us if we wanted our own banana or would like to share one??? How would I know what a standard portion is???? My husband told the waitress the coffee was cold which she then mimicked us to the owner saying that we complained about the coffee. The waffles were rubbish and tiny. Would never go there again nor recommend. There is a waffle house on bushey high st which is 10000 times better.

(It's in Hatch End, Pinner, not Slough - hope to get this changed shortly.)After dinner elsewhere we decided to try out coffee and cake or ice cream as a belated dessert as we had not yet exhausted our daily calorie allowance. Ice cream counter is by the door with three bar stools, coffee and cakes beyond that, and red freestanding seats or banquettes along the side wall leading to the toilet. What did I like most? The strawberry and cheesecake ice cream served in a choice of sweet brown cone or paler waffle cone. The choice of pistachio ice cream either with or without sugar. Sitting down, we were given knife, fork and spoon wrapped in a paper serviette. The pecan pie was good. The double espresso, which I ordered with hot milk, ok. Sugars already on the table. You might see more choice of flavours, or prefer the pistachio at another outlet take away ice cream take away specialist, but this place is a real cafe with more appeal for adults, has music, seating and a toilet which you won't find at the takeaway only outlets. The one toilet is ground floor and unisex with a washbasin inside it, very good for the disabled - maybe that's why here as many other places nowadays there's no lid on the toilet. Take a look at the menu even if you've chosen from the display. We discovered more items we fancied. We'll be going back to try the affogato. I suspect I will get to like this place more and more as I get to know the staff and find what I like on the menu and stick to to my favourites. They are open until 11 pm which is handy.

It was more synchronicity than accident that the first Wetherspoons emerged from the first year of Thatcher: the rise of this business model walked hand in hand with the gradual erosion of the Working Men’s Club, where subsidised beer was part of the overall energy of what was on offer. Back in the day, men would sit so very loyally in these institutions, often finishing a shift, going straight there to either nurse beer or watch what entertainment on offer. It wasn’t urban myth that women of the seventies and eighties marriages would walk to these clubs and serve their men the dinner there, or come in for a row. The proverbial stay at home wife still exists, though today a far different creature, being kept happy with holidays, cars and home furnishings. This bar has an ignored tourist base: all Wetherspoons now, regardless of geography should be aware of the Arbnb market. But, like all chains, it has no hope of dealing with this energy, preferring instead to deal with the constraints of blanket brand approach. Here, moments away from the most exclusive boy’s school in the country exists a dogged Trinity: heavily pierced and tattooed staff with relationship interconnectivity with staff elsewhere in Harrow bars, gossip with customers that are not too happily married. 2 fiercely compromised gentlemen of note need really badly to hold court: one a compulsive gambler and self appointed Town Cryer/Snitch, the other a coke addict, needing cheap boooze and proximity to a nearby club that facilitates more time away from the missus. Both are guilty of rumour spreading to qualify for Anglo Saxon Village punishment. Further back from the seventies, gossips, snitches and muck spreaders were Cukked: bathed in excrement and shamed. The third aspect to this Trinity is the barring policy of Spoons. Here the really nasty alternative life of a post grad is eased with the power to barr. The town itself has the barring from this bar as a kind of weird Badge of Honor. Everyone who has it in them to give money to this institution has been barred at one time or another. Note that it took a huge amount of effort to have Greene King barr a very irritating individual claiming to be the cousin of Tim Martin. His very best friend sits here whilst others remain barred. Another visit is due. The poor social media (almost), says it all. Wetherspoons has it’s critics but remains a great brand. Reliability, social cohesion and a sense of history are it’s strengths. BUT, it has a tendency to be one thing in the centre of things and another in the suburbs and regions. It need not be so. A visit to The Beaten Docket in Cricklewood is where a traveller will find groups of guys playing cards, backgammon, enjoying each other without a whiff of a chance of one of them stabbing the backs of the league. Centrally located Spoons are a boon. If thinking that this bar represents brand or locale it serves, think again, go instead to the Three Wishes in Pinner or the Spoons in Baker St.

This is an amazing venue if you want quality food, quality shisha and attentive service. I visited this venue for the first time with friends. The staff were attentive and welcoming. No pressure to order several shishas per group which has been my experience at other shisha venues in the surrounding areas in the past. I ordered the falafel salad and mint tea. The food was fresh and had been prepared with care. The shisha quality was also amazing. Usually I always feel that there is a harshness to shisha but at this venue it was soo smooth- clearly they are using quality shisha, flavouring and coal. The staff also come around to change the coal and remove any excess ash. One of the owners Naz was extremely friendly and actually sat with us and socialised with us for a while which was a great touch. The prices are also very reasonable. Overall a really nice chilled out venue. I would recommend and will definitely be returning.
