If you're looking for the best crêpes in town, don't miss the original crêpe stand—it's amazing and totally worth the visit! Be careful not to confuse it with the new stand next door run by a local pub; it doesn't match the quality of the original. Stick with the best!

Having been a customer for the last 25 years, I was really disappointed with the level of service recieved by the 2 chefs. Firstly, I was snapped at by the chef after merely asking for a fresh crepe to be made instead of being served one that had been lying there for a while. Secondly, I politely asked for a fork and was rudely shouted at with a loud ‘NO’ from the other chef. However tasty the food might be, I won’t be returning anytime soon with this level of poor and rude service.

Went here for lunch before going to Hampstead Heath and was pleasantly surprised by a short queue. We then ordered, and though my first choice was unavailable, the crepes we did have were lovely, and the strawberry and chocolate on special offer was so so skibidi. Overall a great experience, would recommend!

This Creperie was a very poor experience. Its like a caravan with a little slit where one can see the crepes being prepared. Sadly the Frenchman and Frenchwoman inside were so rude. They were talking about their customers in negative ways as they were making the food. I can speak French so I could understand them. The arrogant Frenchman shoved the payment machine in my face to wave the credit card. The crepe was not packed well and the contents dribbled on the pavement. When I placed the packaging in the bin after eating, I noticed that the floor of the creperie caravan was not very clean - maybe Camden Council could inspect please? But all is not lost as there is another creperie a mere 5 metres away run by the excellent King William IV pub. Problem solved.

Disappointing. I was very excited to go here but unfortunately the service was equivalent to the crêpe, both not great. The crêpe was too thick for an authentic crêpe, it was more like a pancake. When I went it was cash only and a bit pricey for a crêpe, even for London prices.

This spot is great if you want a delicious and authentic crepe. I have been coming here for at least 10 years and it has never disappointed... Only thing to complain about is the queue length but the end result is always worth the wait! Don't go to the crepe stand next door.... That always disappoints

Unfortunately this creperie has not really kind staff and good organized service, I didn't appreciate the behavior. I waited for over than 50 minutes in the queue with my little one in the buggy of 8 months and my mom to enjoy it, but when arrivede there in front to order crepes, the lady told me just to pay cash.. Even if i didn't see any written about on the wall. She answered me to go to bank, moreover she told me I looked like stressed and this made me so uncomfortable and sad as I had my baby there with me and I was waiting for about one hour, was no respectful considering my patience. I decided to leave my idea because no cash in pocket underlining to her that she made a good job to treat me so by a cheap way, above all I listened to her to be offensive and kidding me with other staff and clients. She didn't want to explain why they don't take payment by card but just cash without any options. I am sorry to review negative this known but I felt bad for hours after that, I could have been glad to eat this popular crepe however the lady manager with nice turban is so rude and arrogant, so I took a pic to give an opinion by my experience.

I totally forgot the owner has been changed that I joined the queue for 45 mins to get an ordinary crêpe to disappoint myself, also being treated rudely just becoz I took a picture of the staff making crêpe. The staff on the left said “Don’t take pictures of us, it’s not in a zoo!” Honestly, no one cares who’s making the crêpe, people who come mostly care about the foods only. If they are so sensitive about it they could have put up a sign to remind people about “dos” and “don’ts”: Don’t take pictures of the staffs and they take cash only. I don’t usually take cash with me. Luckily I got some last Saturday.I would be really mad if I waited for so long and was only told cash only when it’s my turn. I don’t know why they don’t mention about cash only at all? I wish I have read other reviews before I visit. Not only the service is poor, the quality of the crêpe is not as good as it used to be, not tasty at all. I ordered the banana and dark chocolate, the crêpe itself is quite salty, and the dark chocolate is really sweet. Not sure if they put the wrong chocolate or it’s just poor quality of dark chocolate, it should not be that sweet. Unfortunately, when they transferred the business to the current owner, they only transferred the name and the fame, but not the original good quality and service, what a shame. I honestly think any crêpe stall on the street in Paris tastes better than their crêpes and you don’t even need to queue for so long. And I’ve tried other crêpe stall in the UK before, much better than this. It’s not worth stopping by anymore. Avoid this stall, save your money for some other nicer food and save your time. It’s a ridiculous joke to see they say they have their business for 42 years in Hampstead since 1980. It’s not the SAME anymore, people!

I had heard about this place so was excited to try it, and even waited over 30 minutes in a very slow queue. Unfortunately I was appalled by the treatment of the crepe makers to myself and other customers. First, they are cash-only. Very strange in 2022 to not take card but sometimes the inconvenience is worth it. Not the case here, where they don't even have a sign indicating they don't take cards. One man received his order and tried to pay in card, and the angry woman said "No, cash only. And you better come back quickly, because I never forget a face." Another issue that arises from only taking cash is hygiene. The woman took cash, and without washing hands went on to touch food. Disgusting! Second of all, don't dare to take a photo. I saw two customers try to take photos of the crepes (this is understandable, being a so-called "institution" of Hampstead, and not a normal place to eat) and the woman snapped, saying "Do not take photos! I don't want my face on your phone!" Even after they apologised and stopped taking photos, she was bad-mouthing them to her co-worker in French and glaring at them. She even said "So disrespectful" to me when handing me my change. After my experience all I can say is I hope this place shuts down so nobody else has to be subjected to this kind of behaviour.

We are regulars at La Creperie since years now and not once has it disappointed. We've been here for brunch, lunch, after school, after classes, snacking, dinner and late night indulgence. Since we are local, we are able to come at short notice (and on a whim!) when there are no queues, which believe me, are quite long most of the times. It might seem that no crepe is worth waiting in a queue in the cold, but, take my word for it, that is exactly what it is! The cheese and garlic mushroom one is my abs favourite.

I was so looking forward to visiting and trying the ‘best crepes’ in London. What a shame that I was met with some of the most hostile service I have ever received. Whilst queueing the gentleman ahead of me ordered a crepe and asked for rum to be added to the topping. I noticed that some of it spilled onto the hot plate and became slightly uncomfortable, as I am tee-total for religious reasons. When asked for my order I saw that they began to prepare my crepe on a separate hot plate and felt a little relieved, only for the staff to transfer it to the same hot plate of the previous order, having only wiped it with a damp tissue. When I asked if they would use a different hot plate, the staff asked me “what’s the problem,” I explained and she very aggressively responded “I am Muslim too, so..” I was thrown by the rude and dismissive tone. Had I disclosed an allergy I am sure this would have been accommodated. They then both proceeded to speak about me in front of me, in French, presuming I would not understand. Safe to say, I will never visit this establishment again, and I will be sure to tell everyone I know and meet to never visit them either. And utter disgrace to the area.

Let’s be honest the only bad thing about this is the cheaper quality cheese and ham compared to before but it’s still amazing! I prefere the sweet then savoury but always buy one of each as I never know when I’ll be back again!

First: the person that wrote that Hampstead doesn't offer any decent food doesn't knows what she's talking about. There are plenty of good places to eat in Hampstead. Second: the service by staff. Yes, at first we where a a bit appalled by the apparent...

A very Parisian service. This is what the experience is like: a woman of African descent yells “next order” (no smile, no greeting, not even a look at the customer...). My friend wanted a chocolate crepe, her answer “what kind of chocolate”, my friend goes...

We queued for about 30 mins before we get our hand on the crepes. If you are trying for the 1st time, you must start with the original (which is sweet) Personally I love savoury hence the ham & cheese is my favourite! Though the...

I was really pleased to find this tiny Creperie truck still there in the same place in Hampstead. I had often bought crepes here in the past with fond memories before, I was hoping it had not lost its magic! I was not disappointed, with...

This is a little stand on the main street of Hampstead village. They make the crepes right in front of you and fold them into paper cones so you can eat them without a plate and silverware. They are ultra thin so you get that...

There is something rather cool about this iconic crepe van in Hampstead. It’s been an institution since way before street food was trendy. And you can’t ask expect a better crepe anywhere. There always seems to be a queue; but we diligently wait our turn...

Had a banana and Belgian chocolate, good taste, and the crepes were soft with a crispy edge. However, the product is good for the price but definitely not the best itself. Would not go again if need to queue and the service is still rude.

Went there recently after a break of about a year and found it quite disappointing. Seems they are now only doing carboard cups, and paper napkins for plates. Cake range seems to have decreased. I used to quite enjoy visiting this place before lockdown as it had a nice atmosphere and quality service, even if it was a little more expensive, Now its like going into a Starbucks or Costa. I think they had better try to improve things pretty quick or their loyal customers will find somewhere else to go.

What is happening with the customer service at Paul bakery at hampstead? The girl with white robe looks like she hates peoples, I don’t feel to go there anymore to spend my money cause I probably needs to apologize to her if a dare to buy something from you guys !!! I hope the situation changes as I love Paul’s bakery and is a chame customers are treated so unwelcome.

Popped in after visiting a late slot at nearby Lightroom Hockney show for some quiet drinks as other venues nearby are large, impersonal and noisy. We sat inside at the bar although there is lots of outdoor seating too looking out onto Coal Drop Year. This is a pretty standard wine bar, with a good selection of wines, impersonal and indifferent service with more of a tradition wine bar ambience under the rail arches. Can't really fault it at a basic level, but it's a shame the owners won't make more effort to provide a basic customer service level or wine expertise, but welcome to Britain 2023.
