La Casetta in North Tyneside

My two daughters and I went tonight, It was raining outside but warm and cosy inside. Both my girls had the duck paté with plum sauce & bruschetta, with slices of orange, Mmmm while I had crispy potato skins with dips, oh, they were so lovely. Jane and I had cannelloni and Vicki had Lasagna, OMG ! just how delicious it was, so hot and meaty, the portions were so big we couldn't manage to eat it all, but Mike packed it up so we could take it home with us, however, we did make room for the delicious raspberry Pavlova! and it really WAS delicious, ......All in all it was a really delightful night. The waitress was lovely, and Mike Nolan is a joy. Thank you Mike for making our night so perfect xx

Little Italian restaurant just off the sea front in lovely whitley bay. Tucked away it is a local hidden gem. Food is gorgeous, never disappoints. Lots of choice with something for everyone. Staff are friendly and ensure food is served promptly. Favourite place to go in whitley bay.

So, we recently tried out this little Italian, and let me tell you, it was the real deal. The service? Absolutely fantastic! The staff made us feel like we were part of the family, and they were on top of everything without being overbearing. Now, the food – really good. The chicken was cooked just right, and the sauces were like a flavor explosion in my mouth. You could taste the effort they put into making it authentic. But what I loved the most was the vibe. It felt like you stepped into someone's cozy Italian kitchen. It's not one of those fancy places where you feel out of place; it's more like you're hanging out with family. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, making the whole experience feel like a big Italian hug. Great value for money. It was a nice change from Davanti's and Sambuca's.

The food was amazing. The staff were so friendly and happy. The place was perfect comftable and not sat on top of each other. I will be going back as soon as I can.

Had the most amazing valentines meal here, the fillet steaks were cooked to perfection and the sauces (dianna and peppercorn) were the best we have ever had! Mike and team offer the best hospitality!! Cannot wait to return, good job guys!!

We booked for a table of 12 with a 8 adults and 4 children. A great choice of drinks at reasonable prices and the food service was quick and efficient. This is what you need when you have hungry children. The staff were polite and courteous. The quality of the food was very good and the Penne Ouzo I had was amazing the 6 huge king prawns was exceptional. I face the mussels were great starter with good size. The children pizza and pasta was equally as good..empty plates is always a great sign. To finish off the fudge cake was huge and could easily be split between two but my children ate the lot. Would highly recommend and return

Never disappointed with the food in La Casseta. Started visiting during the happy hour to get a good deal, now we go whatever the time as the food is consistently good and never disappoints. I like spicy so often go for the chicken picantico, better half often has the chicken voldastana, we have tried several of the dishes and have never been disappointed. Try the Tzastziki starter, absolutley gorgeous, comes with a lovely warm pitta. I can honestly say this is my go to place when we get in from work and think, can't be bothered, where are we going ?? I am never disappointed by my visits. But yesterday’s lunch broke all records for deliciousness. It must be years since we last had minestrone soup - but what a tasty warming choice for the first day of November. And then … great big generous king prawns in cream with a touch of chilli and a life-enhancing splash of ouzo. A taste sensation! And absolute bliss.
