Seems weird to risk a one star review because you wouldn't let someone use your toilet without buying something. The bar next door was very friendly and looked really nice. So I guess I should be thankful that you helped me find that place.

Had a party here and the service was great, Shiva and Cecilia provided great service in a kind manner, very available and welcoming.

We got a table on a Saturday night without booking. It was pretty empty but the staff were really nice, thank you for that. There was lack of drinks and the fries were extremely salty. Despite that we had a great time and I would want to revisit. It has an outdoor seating too which is quite nice

What a welcoming gem. We got together for my son's 4th birthday there, they were the perfect hosts and the pizza was some of the best I've had.

Best pizza I've tried in a while. I spent my day visiting the surrounding museums with my partner and this was the best way of ending the day with a lovely dinner. Not only the pizzas are great, but I also recommend the wine and the coffee. And the staff is lovely and friendly! 10/10

We ran in from the rain and happened upon this absolutely delightful gem next to the station. The staff were absolutely amazing and friendly. The food tasted just like the pizza we had during our Italian travels. We just couldn't stop smiling the whole time we were there!

I really recommend trying out Garbo’s if you love authentic Italian pizza! The vibe is very cool, it’s perfect for a date or with friends. Amazing service and lovely staff. Wadi recommended the most delicious pizzas and was so welcoming :) Don’t miss out on this gem in London!

A bit of a let down :/. Over an hour wait for food and we had little ones under 6, one of whom waited until after we had all finished our food for his pasta to come out. Toilets were okay, good rustic look to them but a bit dirty. The staff were lovely if anything just loooed rushed off their feet in over their head. Only one waiter and one chef which I presume is why the wait was so long. The food was okay, my pizza didn't have any tomato sauce and my sister pizza was underdone and originally came out without one of the toppings. Such a shame because it was picture perfect with a nice atmosphere but even some other people on the table behind us left after their drinks because their food was taking far too long. Outside the floorboards on the patio are rotting away and there's broken glass ornaments as decor which isn't overly great for families/children but j can see what they were going for. I feel for the staff but probably won't be coming back if I can help it. Cute aquarium by the toilets.

Best Italian experience in East London, Adam the pizza chef makes the best traditional Italian pizza in East London to be honest and Wad the waiter has been so kind and professional with us. Great experience and very nice and friendly environment. I will go there again for sure.

Took over an hour for our pizza to arrive when the restaurant was empty. The pizza wasn’t particularly good, a bit wet. The garlic bread was a pizza with olives all over it. Overall pretty horrible experience for a group that had 2 toddlers and a pregnant woman. Having to wait this long for subpar pizza is ridiculous.

Food was good, liked the vibe as well. BUT, we ordered a Bufala and one other pizza quoted for £13.90 each on the menu, but when our bill arrived VAT was charged on top? I'm pretty sure this is illegal, and if not illegal, not standard practice. I would have recommended this place to people especially as its one place that serves food after 10:30pm, but because of this experience with price I won't be recommending this place to anyone.

Today I went for first time at Garbos’s. The calzone style sandwich was amazing; I managed to eat half as it is super big size. The lady who served me (blue eyed, blond) was very friendly, and offered me cold water which was very thoughtful in this hot weather. Thank you!

As an Italian expat, this place is a certainty in East London - it makes me feel like home anytime I’m there. Pizze and pucce are just incredible, super tasty with a very good amount and quality of ingredients. The staff is friendly and prepared, and they bring along our spirit, dedication and passion. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to have a true Italian experience.

I had dinner at the Cantina Sociale with my partner for our anniversary and I highly recommend it… From the starter to the dessert, everything was perfect. The tasty pizza with real Italian taste the homemade tiramisu is amazing .. a very peaceful environment suitable for couples and the staff very kind and attentive to the smallest details, especially Alessio a very smiling and positive but above all professional guy who made us feel at ease and at home.. this place really deserves to be visited

This is such a lovely spot! The staff are extremely kind, hospitable and personal. We even got a few small sweet treats on the house which was a nice touch! The pizzas and the bruschetta were hands down amazing. Highly recommend this place - support these private owners instead of a large chain - you will not be disappointed!

We came for a chilled Friday night dinner, the service was really friendly and efficient, nice atmosphere and the pizzas were delicious! My partner went for a 4 cheese and I had a vegetariana- both very good and not overpriced, we will definitely be back! Only not giving 5 stars due to the toilet being a bit grubby.. but can’t fault the rest 😊

The service made the experience a 5 Star experience. I ordered a pineapple juice, and it had fermented (gone bad in the carton), so after many apologies I was provided a free alternative juice. The friends I was with shared a vegan option with me. The waiter asked what we thought of the food and in recognising that it was "Okay and basic", he wanted us to have enjoyed it, and with my suggestions returned with a much improved version at no extra cost. This time the food was delicious and vegan. The waiter explained that their usual chef was away, and was very apologetic. Warm and friendly atmosphere. I didn't use the toilet as the lock on the door did not work. I was impressed with the service. Thank you!

I don’t even know where to start from. A friend of us organised a New Year’s Eve dinner here for our group of Italian living in London. We had two different menu: one vegetarian and one fish based. People paid £45-£55 for the two different menus. The place was awful. There were not enough seats for everybody so this means the owner which is very not skilled for this job overbooked the restaurant and the people had to wait one hour to be seated. After that we had to stay very narrow and uncomfortable. There was no space even to walk out the door in case of emergency. The staff was terrible, not mannered waiter, very unpolite, kidding the customers , not aware of what was in the dishes so customers ate things that waiter was not aware of what it was. Not mentioning the food. It was terrible . It’s a shame for all the Italian people that work with passion bringing ahead Italian cuisine and culture. The food on the menu never arrived entirely, what has been prepared was the worst food I have ever eaten. I ordered a fish menu. The tartare was quite acceptable but very cold because kept in the fridge for hours (I am not sure if the salmon was good I felt very sick on 1st January and threw out salmon). The “lobster linguine” didn’t have lobster and neither tomato sauce enough. They were terrible, cold, overcooked. A friend of us took “orecchiette with cime di rape” had basically the entire plant in it only warm and not cooked well. Terrible. The bruschetta for vegetarian menu had a raw aubergine deep fried (should have been) on a “fresella” and actually the menu had written “bruschetta” on it. I don’t want to continue about the food . Nothing was good. 70+ people in a space with capacity of 35max people . Terrible. Everyone was upset and complaining about bad service and bad food. The owner is arrogant and haughty. He claimed also some bottles of water to be paid and the service charge (when by law this is not mandatory at all!!! ) and he has not clue about how it works. The sooner he closes the restaurant better it is for people and Italian in general to not be ashamed by this guy. If I could have put -1000 stars I would have done. Awful. Terrible. Arrogant

Posto da evitare! Cibo scadente, personale non qualificato, ma ottimi lottatori, dato che davanti ai clienti alcuni membri dello staff si sono menati e presi a cazzotti. Il ristorante è sporco, come i tavoli e i bagni che non vengono puliti.

Such a disappointment! They don't even know what real Italian food is. Not only the food was cold and tasteless but the service was a disgrace. The owner didn't even bother to rectify his mistake or apologize and was actually rude. Avoid at all costs!

We’ve been there for New Year’s Eve and it was a nightmare bad service, row food, rude manager just one server for more then 80 people, absolutely a disaster the food was sooooo bad!!!!

I stopped by the first time on a walk because, as an Italian, I smelled the smell of proper pizza dough. Came back for dinner tonight and cannot say enough about the proper Italian hospitality of the place! 11/10 recommend.

I’ve arrived at 11pm and it has been the only restaurant that served me food (at this time), They also have been really polite even if it was almost closing time. I’ll definitely recommend , as you can see from the picture the pizza its more than a 5 stars. Grazie mille ragazzi :)

Visited last night with 2 friends. We ordered a meat platter and without asking, we were served the largest size. Meat was not fresh, to the point that one of my friends felt sick. We asked for the bill and we were overcharged. Then when we paid by card we split the bill and again, we were overcharged - by pennies so didn’t complain- but definitely will not be back ever again.

Lovely little place, like stepping off a the London streets into a holiday atmosphere. We sat inside due to colder temps and loved everything from the excellent, warm service to the decor. Id like to come back here when I can enjoy their wine menu. Vege Lasagna was delicious and my partner had fresh porcini mushrooms in creamy pasta. 5 star

All the team was lovely ! Danilo the waiter and lello the chef helped us for the choice of the dishes and have been very welcoming! Food was delicious, pizza, pasta everything !! I really enjoyed my night out with my friend there!!! I’m sure I’ll be back , price is really good for quality and taste of food ! You can definitely said they put a lot of effort and passion on what they do ! I’m Italian and a sprinkle of home is always nice , but I’m sure my non Italian friend have been amazing too ! My partner and I had a delicious meal here after the closing of my solo exhibition. We had the seafood bruschetta which was exquisite, as was our pasta mains. The owner was so lovely and offered us a taste of their homemade limoncello, which was the best we’ve ever had. I highly recommend eating here for the atmosphere, good vibes, and beautifully prepared dishes. We will be back !

Its my 1st time at La Cantina and it was amazing experience. The staff there are really friendly and have a great sense of humour. The food was also delicious and what topped it off we got Lemoncello on the house. So in short thank you, I recommend it for everyone to try it out.

I really enjoyed my meal here. I had these beautiful Kirkpatrick oysters and ragu. Fresh and delicious. The owner is a also a very nice Italian man, who added to the vibe of the place.

The service was good. Waiter was very polite, friendly, and happy. The food was amazingly delicious 😋. Only down point was that they did not have some of the food on the menu like the fish. The decor was simple and clean. For two we spent approximately £65 for 3 course meal with wine and beer. It was worth it

Be careful when they present you the bill!!! We visited on a Saturday night. We enjoyed the food and the drinks, not so much the service. For one simple reason. We were presented with a 116£ bill, with an overpriced wine (it was on the menu at 24£ but they charged us 35£ on the bill) and we order one small platter of 14£ on the menu but they charged us for 2 large platter of 20£ each. I didn't get if the waiter just tried his luck or if it was a genuine mistake (the explanation given made no sense whatsoever). Be very careful when the bill comes to the table, make sure you are charged only for what you had.

I have been to la Cantina Sociale for a quick lunch break and I had a delicious puccia with octopus, it was simply delicious. What a like about this place is that they really make food in the Italian way and use first quality products, the octopus was super tasty and fresh. The waiter and the owner are very friendly, too. Will definately go back for pizza and a nice aperitif in the terrace. Highly recommended !!!

Every dish was beautiful from the starters - the aubergine parmigiana was a personal favourite, to the pastas and pizzas. The sage butter ravioli was sensational and the staff were attentive and friendly. A relaxing atmosphere and a cold aperol spritz on a summers evening was beautiful.

Great pizza and lovely staff. Went on a Tuesday when they do half-price pizza – bargain! Traditional food and super tasty. The only downside was the music, something a bit more fitting with the food would be nice guys.

I have become a regular. My girlfriend and I last came on Friday evening, where we had excellent Paperdelle pasta with shrimps and mushrooms. The waiter Giuseppe went above and beyond to make us have a good time. Overall, the atmosphere is friendly, no-fuss and genuinely Italian. Highly recommended :)

Surprise surprise! Order mix up and inflated prices, beers Mayfair prices not good value for money, staff know nothing about privacy with lots of babkground noise on top of their voices. A forced service charge like no where else in London. Recommendation : visit at your own risk.. So disappointing. The worst Mediterranean bar resto I've been to in years.
