First off , food was excellent !! My reason for the 3 star as follows . Waiter started clearing table before one of our party had finished eating . It gave us a feeling of wanting us out feeling unwelcome. The waiter then brought us the bill ( we hadn’t asked for the bill) upon paying the bill I had three members of staff watching over , this made me feel very pressured to tip . Maybe pay your staff a better wage and not rely on tips ? I did tip you in cash purely because the food was good , upon reflection i wish I hadn’t . In todays workday its expensive to go out and eat so maybe appreciate paying customers rather than make them feel rushed & unwelcome .

An amazing experience end to end.

I tried their gluten free pizza after being recommended it by so many people. I have tried many of the gf pizzas available in Bristol and was really excited for this one after hearing such good things! I hope management will take my feedback in a positive manner and my suggestions on board perhaps. :) Firstly, the pizza came really fast. I ordered via a delivery app and it was with me in 15 minutes. So this aspect was great. Secondly their dough is delicious. Really tasty. They have got their recipe just right. The crusts were absolutely amazing and probably joint top with the best GF pizza crusts I’ve tried! However, the rest of the pizza (where the toppings are) was far too thick. Like double the thickness it should be, and it was not cooked properly. It was stodgy, thick and weighed a tonne in the box and in my stomach. I ate maybe two slices and then threw the rest of the pizza away, except for the crusts which I ate (they nailed this part). For a £20 pizza, this was quite upsetting. I am not someone who throws away food or wastes money if I can possibly help it. There was also way too much cheese, in my opinion. This added to the overall stodgy and heavy feeling of the pizza. It was more like a New York style, deep pan pizza and quite greasy too. Albeit I did order one with nduja so this was probably the reason for the greasiness. Again, I threw most of the greasy parts away as they were dripping with oil and I found that quite off putting. If I had known it would be a deep pan style pizza I would not have ordered since I don’t enjoy eating this much food in one go. I don’t feel good after and plus this base was so thick that it was very gummy, almost like it was raw dough. I think that most GF diners are on the more health conscious side of things. And are probably(??) hoping for a thin and crispier pizza, more like a regular pizza that is made with a wholewheat base. I’d like to suggest to management with full respect and appreciation of the craft that has gone into creating their delicious gluten free dough (I know it’s not easy), that they work to make the main base of the GF pizza much thinner. I think this would be more appealing to most customers and certainly to me. I wouldn’t try the gluten free pizza here again as it stands now but also, I know maybe my experience was a one off. And I stand by what I said about the crusts being the best I’ve tried! Joint with one GF pizza chain I tried in Madrid. I hope management take my comments with the respect with which I write them ❤️🙏🏼

Top grade experience overall, the staff were very kind and approachable, I wouldn’t advise coming here alone or at all if your a wheelchair user though, the main toilets inside the restaurant were up a flight of stairs and there was a small lip in the doorway of the restaurant entrance, to which I luckily managed to get my wheelchair over with the assistance of my sister, who was with me at the time and two other staff members. When my pizza was being served I didn’t think it was fair that this deserved a place on the pizza scale because when I indulged the first mouthful of the pizza I had it was off the hook scrumptious and matchless to all pizzas I’ve had in the past 6 months in a restaurant. I will definitely be looking forward to visiting again soon, I may even consider for my 23rd birthday, it was a delightful experience.

My friends and I came here for dinner on a quiet day and had a lovely time, as we regularly choose a new restaurant for a catch up. The service was fantastic and they made us laugh. The food was so good! We spent around 30 pounds each and definitely ate too much. We had the burrata and parma ham starters, arancini, and a main each. We stayed for ages because it was so comfortable and didn't even realize we were the only ones left. Even though we were clearly holding them up (without realising) they were so nice about it and never made us feel unwelcome. I recommend because of the food, the service and the atmosphere. Thank you so much; we'll be back!

We went at around 6pm, wasn't very busy but filled up fast. The service was incrediblely polite and friendly, didn't have to wait too long for each course or drinks. The food was delicious, the pizzas are made with high quality ingredients and the dough was fluffy and tasted fresh. Would definitely recommend for a family celebration or for a date 👌🏻

Amazing gluten free pizza, as a coeliac a lot of pizzas are hit and miss. Not this restaurant........ These folks nailed it. Definitely recommend to all the gluten free peeps out there.

I recently held a birthday meal for family at this restaurant, they were amazing! As a family of 26 it was hard to find a venue that could easily accommodate us for lunch; however they were fantastic . We had the whole of the top section of the venue and the staff, especially Maria went above and beyond to ensure that we were all happy. Treated as an extension of their own family, the restaurant actually opened especially for our booking. The food was amazing, fresh, tasty and authentic. Special mention for the gluten free and vegan pizzas; my guests said they were the best they’d ever had - a high accolade. Would highly recommend, and look forward to visiting again.

The food is amazing but the service was not very pleaseant. The young waitraise that never been to Italy needs a bit more of customer service skills.

I went with 4 others it was a early booking 5.15 as others had a train to catch nearby. When we arrived had a warm welcome from the waiter & were showed to table which was upstairs it was a cold day so heating possibly could have been put on earlier soon warmed up . Menu was shorter than on the website no probs good wine list couple had wine couple had vodka one had bottle of beer. We all chose pasta dishes all came together two people had lasagne which was lukewarm the lady think she’s the owner asked is everything ok & said ladies told her to which they were promptly taken & when brought back piping hot other 3 dishes were hot. Dessert list again not loads to choose from easy for the waiter 5 profiteroles please asked for extra chocolate sauce again no problem. There was only 1 waiter he defo did his 10000 steps. It became very busy quickly I did notice that others ordering pizzas came quicker than pasta. I would defo return some in group possibly not …it was busy for Wednesday night Bristol Rovers home that night not that should make any difference

Visited with my partner and her family who don’t speak English. Staff were patient, helpful and really lovely while we took our time to translate and order, very attentive to what we needed, friendly and polite. Food was excellent, with everyone at the table more than happy with what they received. Best vegan pizza I’ve had in Bristol too, didn’t lose any of the traditional Italian taste and delicious. Will definitely return here in future!

Nice atmosphere inside and staff friendly. Pizzas good as were other main courses. Upstairs area could be a tad more 'Italian' and Service a tad patchy. Also prices (other than the pizzas) aren't cheap. Its little things like menu being a piece of paper inside a plastic sleeve rather than nicely printed and plastic tablecloths are the little things that detract

We have been coming here for more than 30 years. Staff are always lovely. Great range on menu with a specials board too. Salmon dish was especially good and pizzas are a reliable staple. Our visits will continue and will be looked forward to again

The finest eatery in bristol in my honest opinion. Excellent food delivered by honest heart warming people. Vince and Maria are a credit to the universe. They will always go out of their way to make you feel at home and fill you up with their classic italian food. 7 years I have lived nearby and I will always be happy to recommend La Campagnuola. An institution, they do this with love and passion.

Been here so many times as a couple pre children and loved it.... our son now loves it here too. So amazing with the kids. Food never disappoints..

Eight of us visited for a family meal; the staff were lovely and the food excellent, so much so that everyone wanted to try each others dishes and there was much debate about what we would all order on our next visit! Pizza’s and pasta dishes were delicious and the atmosphere warm and welcoming. We will definitely return.

Popped in for a quick drink on a sunny afternoon. Wish we hadn’t. How can they justify £15 for large glass of house wine and pint of courage. We eat/drink out almost daily but certainly won’t come here again with these unjustifiable prices. Avoid unless you win the lottery It’s a shame as keen to keep local businesses going

Had not visited for many years, when the older generation was still still running the place. I don't know the name of what I had - chicken civered wuth italuan ham and cheese, and on a bed of spinach, but it was one of the loveliest and tender chicken dishes I've ever had. Months later I mm still wondering how the light sauce could be so delicious, and what was made with? My daughter enjoyed her cho7ce, and my 4 yr old granddaughter loved her pizza (and ice cream). The chunky, crispy chips had some added flavour that made them more-ish. Very generous portions and reasonably priced. The young staff is friendly but professional.

Overall amazing experience. Great pizza & excellent staff, authentic ambiance and fantastic wine. I want to give this place 5+ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ It’s truly rare you find a place as warm and welcoming, with incredible pizza! Can’t wait to return!

What an amazing restaurant! Family run and authentic to the core. This was the 2nd time I have ordered a selection of 30 pizzas for an after work office event. Fantastic variety, quality - outstanding. catering for Vegan, Gluten free etc was not a problem. Would 100% use again. Actual restaurant is like walking into 🇮🇹 - wonderful staff and service. Perfect location for a celebration, or just a place to eat a bl@@dy good pizza pasta etc 🍕 😋

We used to love La Campagnuola as their food quality was always a 10/10. Recently we have been disappointed a few times, hence the 4 stars. It’s been a real hit or miss but will go back again, hoping it’ll improve 😊

Nice and clean place, quite modern but very atmospheric. Good music in the surrounding and very friendly owners. The pizza is great, the passata is rustic and very good quality but what has impressed me most is the dough, as the Napoli way is usually 60% hydrated usually is quite chuwing but this one is crunchy and light until the end. Maybe 70%, a good water or a great prooving. Damm i want the recipe!!! Just had the Tiramisu!!!! Best experience ever. Giampiero

Lovely atmosphere, this place has a cosy feel with colourful wall paper and a picture frame specials board. The food was tasty, my steak was cooked just as I like it. The staff are really friendly, my only negative was that our drinks took a long time to get to us.

Cosy. Good seats. Lovely staff. Pizza was tasty. Arancini good. Olives excellent. Overall enjoyable charming place for an Italian meal.

Visited on a Saturday night and it was full. Luckily we had reserved a table. The menu isn't extensive but it is beautifully cooked. I had a chicken dish and my sister a filled pasta. We started with a single portion of garlic bread- delicious, ample for 2 to share. If we lived locally we would be regulars here.

Honestly, the vibe, the staff, the food is perfect. Jam packed and full on a Friday night, which is wonderful to see an independent business thriving after such a s*** few years Personal space was at a premium, as an anxious person this was difficult to deal with but that is not the restaurant's problem. You be the the judge though, it did feel a little tight.

Have ordered from this restaurant a few times. This time, it was a massive disappointment. The chips were way overcooked and incredibly greasy. So much so you could squeeze oil out of them. They went in the bin... cheesy garlic bread wasn't much better. Massive chunks of garlic and also rather greasy. The two pizzas were good enough. Very disappointed.

Honestly love this restaurant so much my only issue was the heat. Was extremely hot me and my partner felt ill from it, to be fair though you can't please everyone with temperature and the food, service and atmosphere made up for it.

I had the Campagnuola pizza, i thought it would be really good, being your signature pizza, but it was just like having a cheesy naan bread but for £13.50! I think you should state clearly on the menu if a pizza has no sauce (such as tomato) on the base and I bet if you do that, no one will order it! To be fair my friends' pizzas did look good and they enjoyed them. It was just this one that was disappointing.

Excellent food, great service and lovely atmosphere. 2nd time have eaten here and the pizzas are exceptional-some of best pizza have had outside of Italy. The arancini starter was also excellent and the special dessert - amaretto and orange pannacotta tart was delicious

A wonderful italian restaurant, with simple dishes being offered, but cooked to perfection. The service is warm and friendly and sets the perfect atmosphere. It can feel a little bit tight with tables next to you, but I would recommend sitting upstairs

This is a real Italian family affair. It manages to strike a balance between being authentic and having a flair of Italian style about it. The Pizza's are excellent. Always good pasta dishes. And the mains/specials are super tasty. Most of all the staff are excellent. Every time I go I feel like I've been transported back to familiar holiday spots in Italy, off the tourist trail, just doing excellent food for locals.

We always enjoy our visits and last night was no exception. The decor and atmosphere is interesting and relaxing to be in. The staff are always so friendly and helpful and the food is fabulous. we found it hard to choose from the scrumptious sounding menu and look forward to going back really soon to try out some other dishes on it.

Having recently moved to the area we were recommended to try the Italian restaurant/bar and were not disappointed.We ordered from the afternoon set menu with the choice from 2 out of the 3 options of starter,main and dessert.The meals and dessert we had were delicious and were of generous portions which reminded us of our Italian holidays years ago!There are large gardens at the rear with childrens play areas and ample car parking and such a delight to have all this on our doorstep.We have booked again for a family get together in August.

The food here is really good but the organisation is a shocker. We waited an hour for the first round of drinks! Largely because the person on the bar is also taking phone orders, handing over deliveroo packages and pretty much doing anything else except getting through the drinks orders. We did also wait ages for food, but the place was packed and they were overwhelmed. We were happy to be out, so if we could have brought our own wine and paid corkage it wouldn't have been a problem. I literally can't recall any time I've had to wait so long for a drinks order, ever.

Last meal out before Christmas 2020 lockdown. On top of our list for returning when allowed. Loved the welcoming atmosphere!

Creo que tuvimos mala suerte en esta visita ya que el restaurante estaba demasiado lleno, por lo que la comida no era tan buena como de costumbre, y los platos se olvidaron.El principal problema que tuve fue que no parecía haber eliminado ninguna mesa, por lo que todos estaban demasiado cerca unos de otros. La entrada al restaurante es un cuello de botella, por lo que es un problema físico. Sin embargo, no hubo una gestión de las personas que llegaban a cenar o de los muchos conductores de reparto que estaban en la puerta. Solo necesita pensar un poco más, ya que muchos otros restaurantes han implementado procedimientos sólidos para mantener a su personal y clientes físicamente distantes.

La comida era deliciosa como se esperaba, ya que hemos estado allí varias veces antes. Sin embargo, me decepcionó ver que el restaurante no parece tomar en serio las precauciones de covid. El lugar estaba muy lleno, ni siquiera intentaron quitar algunas mesas como otros restaurantes. El personal llevaba máscaras, pero la mayoría de ellos lo tenían colgado debajo de la nariz en lugar de cubrirlo como debería ser. La principal razón por la que fuimos fue para apoyar a una empresa local que nos gustaba para ayudarles a superar estos tiempos difíciles. Ver a La Campagnuola asumiendo menos responsabilidad que otros pequeños restaurantes locales, a pesar de que dependen igualmente de evitar el encierro, me hace no querer regresar antes de que termine el covid.

Llegamos y las bebidas y los entrantes llegaron sin problemas. Comenzamos a notar quejas de servicio a nuestro alrededor en este punto, pero nosotros mismos no tuvimos problemas. Nuestros platos principales llegaron bastante tarde, pero estaban muy sabrosos y los disfrutamos.Nuestro problema surgió cuando pedimos la factura, que tardó más de 45 minutos y tuvimos que pedir 4 veces. Solo puedo recomendar que vayan al bar y se paguenRealmente se puede decir que el equipo de espera no tenía suficiente personal y, por lo que supimos, no tenía un gerente en el lugar. Pero esto realmente se reflejó en el servicio al cliente que recibimos y también notamos una gran cantidad de pedidos de Deliveroo que abrumaban al equipo y causaban retrasos a los clientes en el restaurante. Recomendamos al restaurante que apague Deliveroo de lunes a miércoles durante todo el mes de agosto. Esto permitiría a los comensales apreciar completamente lo encantador que podría ser este restaurante, siguiendo las críticas entusiastas en las que basamos nuestro viaje.

"La Campagnuola" Una auténtica joya de restaurante. Cocina italiana con excelente pizza. Recientemente probé este restaurante de pizza para un par de cenas. Debo decir que me asombró la calidad, la generosidad y la presentación de los platos. El uso de productos frescos y caseros caracteriza a este restaurante. Todo es casero. Nada se hace al azar o sin un análisis y un estudio cuidadosos. Al contemplar los distintos platos, se percibe inmediatamente el amor por la cocina y la dedicación a sus clientes. Calidad, armonía y alegría son imprescindibles. La amabilidad, la honestidad y la preparación del personal lo guiarán en un viaje para descubrir el gusto. El ambiente familiar se percibe entre los propietarios, colaboradores y empleados. Fuimos a cenar a divertirnos con una excelente pizza, no pudimos contenernos en degustar un par de manjares más. , De ravioles (caseros) rellenos de ricotta y espinacas en crema de mantequilla y salvia con gotas de pesto, aderezado con crujiente de calabacín con buñuelo en juliana, para rematar, la experiencia terminó con una delicada panna cotta de crema bailyes decorada con una esponja de hebras de caramelo. Desde la tarde hasta la mañana siguiente me acompañó el recuerdo de los sabores y olores de la experiencia vivida. Un regreso a la juventud de una Sicilia auténtica Y amante del gusto y la familia. Gracias chicos, sin duda habrá otras ocasiones para honrarlos. Cinco estrellas +.

Visitamos el 5 de agosto para aprovechar la oferta de salir a comer para ayudar. Las pizzas eran tan buenas como siempre, pero el servicio era deficiente. Al menos 45 minutos para incluso tomar una copa. Parecía haber tantas mesas como de costumbre adentro, así como más afuera, y el distanciamiento social era difícil. Desafortunadamente, probablemente no volveremos a visitarnos mientras Covid siga siendo un problema.

Un regalo tan inesperado encontrar este maravilloso restaurante durante nuestra reciente estancia en Bristol. Nos hicieron sentir muy bienvenidos y nada era demasiado para el personal. Qué suerte tener esta pequeña joya administrada por una familia a la vuelta de la esquina. Personal encantador, excelente ambiente, relación calidad-precio y cada comida cocinada a la perfección. Nunca había probado una pasta tan buena, ni siquiera en Italia. Se merece la gran reputación que ha ganado durante muchos años de actividad.

La mayoría de los restaurantes estaban llenos pero pudimos conseguir la última mesa en este pequeño y encantador restaurante aunque tuvimos que sentarnos al lado del horno de la pizzería.El servicio era bueno y el vino blanco de la casa era muy bueno. La puerta de la cocina se dejaba abierta continuamente, lo que, aparte del tiro, tenía un diseño pobre y no estaba más cerca.Nuestra comida estaba bien preparada, pero muchas de las pizzas estaban siendo devueltas ya que habían sido quemadas en los bordes. Puede ser que el horno esté demasiado caliente o no haya suficiente supervisión por parte del chef. ¿Ganancias en la papelera?

Birthday meal for a family member - nice restaurant with good choices on the menu. Some of the pasta dishes wereEspecially good. Food was tasty and variety of prices. Couple of the waiting staff started reorganising the restaurant as we were finishing our meal - clattering chairs and tables around. We did find it quite rude and it felt like they wanted us to leave. Slight savoury note to an otherwise lovely meal

We were a group of 15, we are a range of food - pizza, pasta, seafood and meat dishes. All were excellent, service very friendly, definitely worth a visit.

Visité en una tarde tranquila. El servicio fue bueno, personal amable. Sin embargo, la pasta era tan salada que no era comestible. El camarero me lo reemplazó amablemente y fue mejor, pero todavía muy salado y tristemente desagradable. La pasta tampoco era casera, lo cual fue una pena. La pizza era muy buena, pero una mala experiencia significa que sería reacio a recomendar o volver.

Esto se ha convertido en uno de mis restaurantes favoritos. Magnífica cocina italiana siciliana. El servicio es amable y rápido sin ser demasiado atento o apresurado. Hay un ambiente familiar relajado mientras se mantiene un nivel de especialidad si está celebrando una ocasión importante (nuestro 25 aniversario de boda anoche). Y, francamente, la comida es excelente. No he comido pizza tan buena fuera de Italia (¡y rara vez en Italia!). Estoy deseando volver ya. . .

Ordiniamo 2 antipasti Campagnuola da dividere in 4.Stupendi. Il must è la caponata.. Da concorso. Le pizze forse le migliori di Bristol.Le sirloin molto tenere e con un buon impiattamento (vedi foto).Per i dessert torneremo. Prezzi ottimi. Caffè buono come in Italia e limoncello Luxardo che dire. ...cibo 10,servizio 10.Italiani che venite a Bristol ve lo consiglio.

Came here on Saturday 09th March My friend ordered filet steak & i had the salmon Excellent dinner..... steak cooked to perfection with the trimmings & the salmon dish was fabulous.... great service & very friendly staff Highly recommended

My friend and I had been really looking forward to this meal. We had heard good things about this restaurant and wanted to spoil ourselves to a special meal.

The food was absolutely delicious, we had the Carbonara and it was, by far, the best I've ever had. The staff were very friendly and accomodating, it was one of the best food/resteraunt experiences I've had while living in Bristol.

Had an absolutely wonderful dinner here this evening- the interior is so cosy and inviting, the staff are warm and friendly and the food was delicious! The pasta was so fresh, perfectly cooked and full of flavour. I've been wanting to try this place for ages and I'm so glad I did- I will definitely be returning!
