Driest and tasteless acai bowl i have ever tried. Craving was not satisfied. This is my second and last time here. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND. Not to mention the bad seating area inside the cafe.

After recently moving out of the city to Worcester, we still make sure to come here as much as we possibly can when we come back. And on team days I bring all my team too because it provides halal options which means we can cater to everyone. It’s my absolute favourite lunch place here, so fresh and real value for money! Plus the coconut bacon is life changing - it is the real reason I’m back every time. Love it!!!!

Amazing! So fresh, i had the acai bowl. Was good price and had good options. Also size was good. Staff were friendly and had a line going out the door! Will definitely be returning! The taste was just great

Excellent staff and delicious chicken nachos The freshly made up nacho bowl was plenty big enough as a mid afternoon snack for 2 and tasted delicious. The staff were friendly and talkative and the upstairs seating area lovely and clean Highly recommend for the price!!

During my visit to Birmingham from the US, I was eager to indulge in one of my favorite dishes: poke. Entranced by a sign boasting the establishment as one of Birmingham's top 30 restaurants, my expectations were high. However, reality fell short. The Ahi bowl I ordered lacked flavor, and the restaurant emitted an off-putting odor. Needless to say, I left feeling let down. For a more satisfying experience, I'd suggest opting for Tesco's £5 or £8 poke meal deal if you're content with something average. Let's hope there are better poke options elsewhere in Birmingham.

I do not usually share my experience but I have to say, kuula Pola is a huge let down, definitely not worth the hype! I have been trying all the acai bowls in the city lately and visited this shop for the same. The price was not worth given such small quantity. £2+ was charged to eat in but food was still presented in a disposable bowl and the atmosphere was not welcoming in any way. The food presentation and the vibe have more room for improvement. I had great expectations from reading the website but turned out to be an utter disappointment!

Thanks for giving me a bowl packed full of rice even though I specifically chose the quinoa. I picked gluten free options for a reason. Now I'm already having a flare up. Cheers guys. Great job. Hop in the bin. 👌🏽

The best poke in birmingham ive tried! Love the selection of topping for the poke.Before moving away for uni this was my go to and i had atleast a poke bowl every month! Finally back home and its still my favourite!

Great Poke Bowl - I had the Tuna but substituted Pineapple with Mango Salsa. Brown rice with all the right veggie toppings and a Wasabi Mayo - spicy!. There is a lot of Menu to take in but if you want to give it a go, try one their base dishes and substitute an ingredient like I did - easy peasy! This is a really healthy choice and I’m about to Hula like a Hawaiian, so it must be good…

Kuula is such a good place for lunch! The Huli Huli tofu bowl is a delicious vegan option and staff are so lovely! :)

I don't recommend to take raw salmon, and there is a very small selection of addings

Foods amazing also I had an issue with Uber eats delivering my food so the employee called up Uber eats and got my money refunded something they didn’t have to do but still choose to do it

I was so excited to finally get a chance to try this place the excitement was short lived my friend was asked what she wanted she replied salmon but we didn't realise that it wasn't all build your own as the jumbled mess was being thrown in the bowl the woman then shouted from the other side of the shop what are you having I said prawn and continued to talk to my friend as I didn't realise that's how you take an order and she started throwing the sloppy rice and pineapple in a bowl it would have been nice to have the process explained as no instructions on how to order and the shop didn't have a single customer. She then started throwing edamame into my friends bowl which my friend said I don't want them please so the staff proceeded to pick all the edamame out of the bowl and put them back into the container with the other beans clearly no concern for cross contamination also no sign that it's card only we paid and sat outside the shop. It was all ok until my friend got to the sloppy soured mango which had a vile sour taste and had mixed with all the rice my friend went back in to try and rectify the problem by asking for a bowl with no mango as it tastes off she came back out with he same bowl and pretty upset that she couldn't eat the bowl as the taste was off putting so I went back in and explained she has had 1 spoon and it's vile she just wants a new bowl with no mango the first "staff member" replied with what's the problem I offered to take the mango out of the bowl she clearly didn't understand once food touches it'll taste like the other food the other pretty rude unhelpful "staff" member came marching over saying what is the issue with a smug look she said so she wants a free bowl but we had already paid and she had taken 1 spoon out of the bowl we just wanted her to be able to enjoy her food is that much to ask she then smirked and said well she can buy a new bowl to which I replied but she just wants this problem sorted she has already paid to then the lady replied well £10 worth of food will go in the bin so she expected her to pay again to cover the waste lost. I was shocked at this point and mentioned that if you go anywhere and your not happy with the food it will be replaced why is it such a issue here I didn't see why the both had such a guard up when she was unhappy with the food and service they eventually gave her a new bowl with all new ingredients but by that time it wasn't a pleasant experience and we both felt unhappy with the whole ordeal it was hard to enjoy the sloppy rice and sides. Definitely avoid especially if you have allergies as cross contamination is clearly not a big issue for them and god forbid you don't like one of the sloppy items they sell

This was amazing! Nice staff, yummy food and fresh ingredients, also I would ignore that last one star review after clicking their profile and seeing they only leave bad reviews lol. Very glad we have this independent in Birmingham and will visit regularly for my poke fix. :)

Great poke bowls, especially the tuna sashimi and salmon sashimi bowls, ultra-fresh, huge portions, extremely tasty, very reasonable prices, lovely friendly staff.

Whenever I'm in Birmingham, this is an absolute must! If I've already had lunch, I take one home for dinner! The service is super speedy, and the staff are great. I have been a regular here for 18 months, and the food is always incredibly fresh, delicious and fantastic value. If there's a queue, I suggest you join it, you'll be served in no time!

The worst poke I ever had. The selection of add ons was awful. Superfood slaw? Mango? Pineapple? Pickled red onion and hickory carrot were literally the worst.

I love the food from here. It's great, quick and tasty. Being vegan I have only had one dish, tofu poke bowl but I have been back several times. I love all the extra toppings and the bowls are always so full when you get them

This is probably some of the best food I have had in a good while! Poke bowls are delicious; your choice of rice topped with a wide variety of choice. I must say I'm particularly fond of the cashews and the carrot! The kimchi was great! Overall a wonderful experience that I hope to have again soon!

A favourite of mine. Very quick and simple. They do a great balanced bowl of carbs, veg and protein. Good portions and the flavours are so refreshing and light. The açai bowl is also very nice if you’re looking for something more on the lines of a dessert.

First try - impressive. I don't normally put a high expectation on delivery orders but Kuula Poke really took great care of each order. The bowl I built myself was a big portion, beautifully presented and 100% fresh and delicious. The poached salmon was so nice and simple, unbelievable!! And the truffle mayo is lovely as well. It's gonna be my fav bowl from now on :))

Bit of a rip off to be honest £15.50 for a superfood salad and miso soup. Same thing costs less than a tenner in central london and includes protein. Having said that, the food did taste good and was super fresh. Worth noting it looks nothing like how it does on the website so be prepared for smaller portions than you might expect.

This is definitely the best poke bowl place I’ve ever been to! I am constantly raving about Kuula Poke to anyone who will listen! I’ve tried poke bowls in many places where you’d probably expect to find an even better poke bowl like California or Costa Rica, but they just can’t compete with Kuula Poke. The Ahi Tuna bowl is amazing with super fresh tuna and all the ingredients are marinated in different delicious sauces and the crispy onions on top are the best!!

Poké bowl portion was very generous and it all tasted amazing 😛 plus, it’s halal.

I ordered ramen with prawns. It is £8.75 so I expected something nice. However, the staff got soup, noodle and prawns from the fridge then put everything together in a plastic bowl. Then the staff put the plastic bowl covered with cling film in the microwave for a few mins. It was absolutely disgusting. So disappointed with this experience.

This was my first time trying a Poke Bowl and I have to say, it was delicious. A poke bowl is a bowl of rice topped with toppings of your choice. It is served cold. You choose your flavour and size and then the Poke bowl is made fresh to order and you get to select additional toppings that you like. There is a good variety to choose from and each one was fresh and tasty! The sauces were amazing too! I couldn’t finish mine as they are surprisingly very filling. Staff was very nice and even gave me a top up of sauce when I asked for it. Definitely a good place to eat in brum town centre.

Popped in here for a solo dinner whilst visiting birmingham for one night. So glad I did. Really tasty healthy food. Salmon was melt in the mouth fresh, chicken actually tasted like chicken and the chunks of mango beautifully soft and juicy. I would definitely return if I end up in birmingham again.

Tofu is too dry and overcooked. Too much sauce, it makes too sour. Not enough salmon for a Poke.

Ordered online via Uber eats to pick up between 1345 and 1415. We had confirmation the order was made up via Uber eats. I arrived at the shop just before 1415, showed the staff my order then they checked and told me it wasn't made and shouted to their colleagues all hands on deck, as they intended to make it there and then. I told them I don't have the time to wait as I have a train to get (the whole reason I ordered to collect was to get the order fast and get the train on time). The order was 2 bowls and 2 Desserts so I can imagine it was unique enough to note if it was already made up. Now I try to support independent restaurants in Birmingham which sometimes means you pay a bit more. I don't know how the refund process works but A staff member told me the order wasn't made up so no food was wasted. Uber have initially given me £5 refund which is unacceptable for an order costing £23 and that's with an £8 discount. I do like the food here but cant see why I would ever go again after making such a loss. Edit Sorry, just to make it clear I meant to say as your guys said the order isn't made up then from my perspective no food has been wasted and I presumed a refund should automatically have been done. Uber eats have now given a full refund but only after we messaged them twice.

Pretty good Poké bowls. Love the crispy onion topping with the sriracha mayo on salmon and all the other goodies.

Fantastic for a light lunch. 2nd drop In had a miso soup as a light midday filler. Fantastic depth of flavour and generous on the fillings. Good soup. 🍲

Popped in for lunch - was a great experience! Staff were very friendly and helpful when it came to choosing what to add into my bowl. I went for the King Prawns which was really nice. All the ingredients are fresh and clearly well thought out. Refreshing to see something new!

Kuula Poké is a great independent spot to grab brunch/lunch/a snack from. I got a mixed acai to take away and it was so delicious - the staff were really friendly and let me add some extra toppings to my order which was delicious. One of my favourite places in Birmingham city centre

I have quite often given that I work around the city centre. And the service has never failed me or the customer service. They work preparing food with so much love. Kula poke staff have always been amazing and I have seen them work with attentiveness, mindfulness when preparing my bowls. It’s like a work of art been presented right in front of your eyes. I was lucky to be served by the founder herself on Thursday. I only came to realise that when I asked her name after she made my bowls with love. I love the concept and the ethos of this company and I recommend it highly

I remember seeing this 'coming soon' back in 2019 when I was just going to finish working in Birmingham. Finally, I get the chance to try this and my gosh, I wasn't disappointed! I went for the tofu bowl which had so much flavour and tasted so fresh! I couldn't find or taste the coconut bacon though... But all in all, good portion, great taste!

Love coming to Kuula Poke however found recent visits to be inconsistent, today I ordered two Bowls & found that the bases on both were probably 1/4 less than it usually is, the rest of it is measured out so can't normally go wrong with the quantities, also the drizzle that was put ontop of the rice was a bit too much whereby I found my rice was pretty much bathing at the bottom overpowering the taste of the rest of it. Also you seem to always be out of Coconut 'Bacon" every time! Please go back to properly filling your portions, controlling the amount of 'drizzle' & finally keeping stocked up on the tasty treats.

Strawberry was mouldy and the staff replaced the one strawberry with another bad strawberry into the same bowl. Berries also had feather in it.

Amazzzzzzing food! I created my own poke bowl, with: coconut brown rice, kale and quinoa, sushi salmon, mango salsa. Edamame beans, super food slaw, sweet red onion. Topped with finely cut spring onions and crispy shallots and Yuzu Ponzu (Glutten Free) dressing! You get so much food! Was so flavoursome, you can taste the goodness in everything you eat! I also had the vanilla fudge and white chocolate brownie! PERFECT! Will definitely be back omggg!

Over cooked and flavourless rice topped with literally 5 pieces of salmon. Payed almost £10 for some disappointing and sticky mess. I’m absolutely speechless. The place was clean and the staff seemed lovely, however the person who made my bowl seemed not sure what to do or which way to look. There wasn’t much choice of the topping either. Overall a big flop.

Kinda liked this place until today. The food was nice, but the staff is just horrible. I’m usually going for Make your own bowl - the middle aged lady starting commenting on my choices saying Oh, do you think it’s a good idea? etc. Didn’t listen to me at all! I asked for mayo - didn’t get any. Asked for a particular sauce - didn’t get it, but got a litre of a different one. Just look at my poke/soup at the photo!! Not coming back, thank you

What a pleasant surprise this meal was. We’re staying in Birmingham for a month and we did a ton of meal prep before arriving. We have special takeout nights in between and this meal made my evening! The online order form is very easy to use and delivery was quick, highly recommended it.

All the staff were so welcoming and happy to answer our questions about the origins of the cuisine - incredibly interesting history! The food itself was fantastic, notably the Salmon & King Prawn Poke bowls. Would thoroughly recommend to people who are looking for something different and people who do not want to be disappointed! Love the food! Amazing value for the money, great taste! Apart from one guy (blond, short hair, about 5'7-6'0?) who is just the bestest, staff can be quite rude - very "smart" and very patronising and purposefully not very customer oriented (Oooooh, you want to build your own bowl... You should have said that! *eye roll*).
