I've looked at this place quite a few times when travelling into Sutton, and I finally ended up going. This is definitely my favourite coffee shop in Sutton Coldfield, they serve freshly ground coffee with a wide variety of different options on their menu. They also sell a wide variety of different beans and equiptement if you wanted to start making your own coffee or hot chocolate at home. It's a very cute little coffee shop tucked away on the highstreet.

Their hot chocolate and cinnamon rolls are absolutely divine and addictive. They serve delicious coffee, cappuccino, flat white and espresso, and freshly baked bread, coffee cakes and chocolate cakes too. This is definitely the best coffee shop in Sutton Coldfield. All in all, rich real coffee, scrumptious cakes, fantastic customer service, affordable prices and a great location.

I always make it a goal to visit this cafe when I am in Sutton Coldfield. I absolutely love their coffee and they always have great snacks and cakes. The peanut crunch is a delight! My drinks recommendation is an oat flat white. Cannot go wrong with that! Only for real coffee lovers...

Don’t understand the hype over this place. Just been in. Espresso was sour, and was made to feel most unwelcome.

Coffee was nice but staff don't seem that welcoming. Seem to enjoy making jokes between themselves about certain customers that came in and out. Coffee is good though just expect a slice of pretentiousness with your coffee.

I like this little independent, relaxed,inclusive, unpretentious, friendly. A nice change from the big chains where laptops and fancy coffee is the norm. I’m not a coffee expert so I have my usual americano which is pretty good. The chocolate chip cake thing was nice but needs more flavour, if it was banana I didn’t taste it. Will recommend.

Excellent coffee with equally excellent cake. Always a friendly welcome Child and dog friendly as well. Keep walking past the chain coffee shops and visit Under Pressure for a proper cup of coffee.

Firstly the coffee is delightful - I can only comment on their flat white, but it's a step above any other that I've tried in the area. Velvety, revealing, consistent. Secondly, the sheer number of books I have begun reading here, that I haven't been able to start anywhere else, is testament to the atmosphere the owners have created. With a quiet library feeling too much like school, and a house being home to chores and responsibilities, the people, the music, even the seating, help make a novel feel more like a short story. 10/10 - I could go on, but I have a book to read and another coffee to order.

A very balanced cup I had ( I ordered a filter )❤️, I am a barista myself and I can tell you this coffee shop knows what they're doing! You wouldn't risk anything going there and get ready to be surprised by their cakes ✨!

Great little coffee shop with big outputs. 100% the best coffee shop in Sutton Coldfield Town The owners have a true passion for coffee.... and it shows, they take pride even with takeaway drinks putting milk designs ontop. The coffee is really well made and tasty. They serve many coffees a wide variety of takeaway coffee bags, cakes/bakes with a small amount of indoor/outdoor(not covered) seating. I also believe they roast their own coffees.

World class coffee - this is way out there as one of the best cappuccinos to be had anywhere. Home roast coffee and cappuccino done properly. I’ve travelled all over - sought out the best wherever I am - and this place does the best.

Lovely place. Very good coffee, super friendly staff, chilled atmosphere and decor, benches outside. You do feel like a guest at someone's home - it has that quality. And if you want a proper coffee, this is the place to come. A must if you're in the area.

Best café in Sutton. Love to grab a cup and some baked cakes there in the morning. And there's always some friendly conversation to have with the lovely people owning the place. And they do roast their coffee beans so you can buy them as well at the shop.

Great place for coffee (tea) and cakes and we’re always happy to support small local businesses rather than sharks. Coffee and cakes are far superior than other coffee shops and this comes at a great price too. The place is always busy so that’s always a good sign. Keep it up.

Best coffee shop I've been to. Excellent coffee, tasty snacks, and very friendly and welcoming. I only come in every few months when I'm visiting family locally and it feels like my local. They always remember my order even its been 6 months. Wish there were more businesses like this.

This is a ‘hidden treasure’ of a coffee shop. Proper coffee done properly. They roast on the premises too. The owner Matt bakes cakes on sale too. Always a great selection in offer and always quality. Coffee here is properly brewed and served at the right temperature, so that you get the actual real flavours of coffee, whether drip filtered or made in the espresso machine, for a latte or cappuccino etc. It’s a small place, often busy, with lots of regulars returning time and time again. The staff are friendly and helpful and expert at what they do. Give it a go…..

Excellent coffee, excellent service, and excellent cakes. I order their coffee to drink at home but this was my first visit to drink in. Dog friendly. Highly recommended if you like good quality coffee rather than bland high street stuff.

I come here once a month when I am over this part of the Midlands and I must say its always a pleasure visiting under expresso. They don't offer the fancy flavoured coffees just plain old good coffee with the optional sugar and milk extras. I always order a large white with the ginger cake which tastes amazing ! Customer service during every one of my visits has been pleasant. The only downfall I'd say is that this shop does get quite busy as its very popular and if you have a family or come in with a pram ( like I tried ) you'll be lucky to get a seat. Other than that 10/10 !!!!

I come here as often as my social schedule allows - from the interesting coffees, home-made cakes, and welcoming staff, this place has a unique and cosy ambiance. The coffee is the best I've drunk anywhere and would give this place six or more stars if Google would allow me to.

We stopped in at Under Pressure Espresso today. We had a wonderful experience from the time we arrived until the time we left. The coffee was delicious and the staff were so warm, friendly and welcoming. Highly recommended.

I have recently lived and travelled through Europe, sampling coffees at many cities (Nice, Paris, Berlin, Frankfurt, the Hague, Copenhagen, Stockholm, Tallin, Warsaw, Luxembourg city) I can safely say under pressure can compete with the best. Their coffee is smooth and full of flavour without any overpowering bitterness. Excellent work ☕😋

Little independent coffee place. Coffee specialties are fantastic. Homemade cakes are delicious. Interior modern, atmosphere relaxed. Service is calm and efficient. Customers seem mostly digital natives and alternative urban. Right place to stay and relax.

Pet sitting in the area and went out for coffee this afternoon. And this is great coffee, friendly people, pleasant environs. I was planning on an iced americano but was asked if I'd prefer an iced brewed coffee - definitely a good move. Also excellent baked goods! I'd definitely return if around.

Wonderful coffee shop/roastery. Cannot recommend highly enough Great cakes, friendly & helpful staff, but most of all beautifully prepared coffee. The in shop roastery(which makes for great decor alongside the rest of the coffee theming) has also never disappointed when taking a bag for home.

I would rate them with 10 stars if I could! Today I bought coffee from these guys. Honestly, they make the BEST coffee in this area of Birmingham! And that is coming from a guy that practically lives on coffee. Whoever does not boil their cappuccino and coffee knows how to make decent coffee and these guys surely do! Smooth taste and a fine aroma. Definitely my favourite coffee place from now on. Plus points for cheap price and super polite baristas.

My partner has visited this gorgeous little independent coffee shop a few times and loved his coffee every time! On our previous visit he had his usual flat white and I had a hot chocolate. I can honestly say it’s one of the best hot chocolates I’ve ever had - they also sell it in small bags which are very reasonably priced, I’ve brought a bag to use with my velvetiser and it’s so good! I’ll definitely be back for more! We also tried a piece of cake each and it was beautiful. Definitely skip the big name coffee shops in Sutton and head here to support a small business - you won’t regret it!

Came for a coffee, stayed for much of the day. Great for a therapeutic catch-up with friends, amazing and unpretentious coffee, the peanut crunch thing will put me into a diabetic coma one day and I don't even care. Staff are lovely and don't ask you to leave even though you outstay your welcome by a few hours.

Lovely local independent. My oat milk was steamed to perfection (the texture was so perfect I thought they served me cows milk!!) lovely coffee and cakes with quirky flavours (ginger and rhubarb) and great value at £2.5 each. A must if you’re in Sutton town centre.

Very popular spot on a Saturday morning with locals and cyclists. Range of bench seating outside and plenty of seating inside, Under Pressure serve great coffee alongside sticky buns, cake, treats and bread. The coffee was superb, with speciality filters on offer and the hot chocolate also got great reviews from the kids.
