Wonderful Peruvian spot in Brighton. It's lovely to find a place that makes such effort to deliver authenticity. I loved the place decor and the attention was excellent. Papa rellena and empanadas were delicious and they also had ox anticuchos which were such a nice treat. Amazing pisco sour de maracuya. Highly recommended and will definitely come back again!

What a hidden gem! Absolutely loved our dinner here. The food was just out of this world, so tasty. The waiting staff friendly, happy to explain everything. And just such a lovely Peruvian vibe, so many artefacts to look at on the walls. Highly recommended.

What a find. We loved this place. Great cocktails to start. Never eaten Peruvian before, we need more of it in this country! We shared everything ( begrudgingly) . Belly pork, fantastic, balanced really well by the sweet potatoes. Lovely scallop dish. Highlight for me was probably the ceviche, but the curried pulled chicken and rice was also delicious. Rounded off with churros and beautiful Peruvian chocolate. Attentive service, fair prices, welcoming atmosphere. Would definitely recommend. We will be back!

Down in Brighton for the evening, I chose this restaurant by chance, based on proximity and the chance to try a different cuisine. What a lucky choice. The restaurant was great from the moment of the welcome, to the staff friendliness and topped off by the amazing food. The empanadas were perfect - both filling and crust. The main courses were both super tasty but the ribs won hands down over the chicken on drama! Just wish we had had room for dessert! Excellent decor and ambiance too. Well worth a visit and we will go again. Thank you to everyone working there last night, it was memorable!

Had lunch here the yesterday, sitting outside on a sunny Brighton Saturday whilst getting to enjoy listening to beautiful Puerto Rican music and being welcomed at the restaurant by the owner. The food was absolutely delicious - we really loved the Yuquitas and empanadas and the sauces it came with + their chimichurri is to die for! I had the ceviche classico as main which was really delicious and freshly made and my partner and sister in law had the Anticuchos veganos which again was really delicious and filling. It was nice to see some vegan desert option (the cheesecake sounded great) but we were too full by the end to order desert, although the owner did treat us to some free churros which was really sweet of him and they truly did hit the spot after such a lovely lunch! Would recommend this little hidden away spot to anyone as it's so close to the beach, yet feels neatly hidden away from the business of the street and it was such a great experience to be able to explore some Peruvian cuisine and feel welcomed in such a nice restaurant 🥰 To top it, it didn't break the bank either!

Lovely, vibrant food. We had the Ceviche Clasico, Yuquitas, Anticuchos Veganos, and chicha morada to drink. Highlight for us was the Yuquitas with chili dip but everything was great. The service was attentive and warm. Our waitor was really passionate about peruvian food, he was keen to explain the menu to us and give recommendations.

The waitress was super friendly and helpful, lovely cosy atmosphere, the cocktails and food (vegan as well as non vegan) were all delicious! A Brazilian friend recommended this place and it did not disappoint. The staff were very accommodating despite the fact we had not booked on a Saturday night. The atmosphere was great, the music and decor was very fitting. The food was delicious especially the ceviche and empanadas which we are fond of. Will definitely return with friends next time. Being from South America, I felt at home. Thank you to all front of house and kitchen staff alike for making my partner and I feel so welcome. Gracias y hasta la proxima.

Went there on a Wednesday evening and was happily surprised by this restaurant. Earlier reviews made me visit this place, yet the actual experience exceeded my expectations. Cute restaurant located in the basement of a seaside building. It's run by the friendliest host you can imagine. He helped us choose some dishes, as well as gave us some recommendations for places in the area to visit. The atmosphere in the place is cosy, with colorful decor and beautiful Peruvian patterns. The food was nice and seemed to be traditional and mostly homemade. The only thing I could remark is the rather small selection of vegetarian/vegan options - else I would visit this place more often during my stay. Other than that, I definitely recommend this place for a good time with good food, nice pisco sour and a great host!

We found this restaurant by chance on the way back to our hotel. We had our one year and four month old daughter with us. We were able to manage to have her eat with us. The dishes were excellent. I highly recommend this place you will eat very well there for a good price.

My favourite restaurant in Brighton! A cosy restaurant with a very warm welcome. The walls are dripping with Peruvian history and art and the passion that Nestor the owner has about cooking is infectious. I can’t recommend this place enough.

One to avoid. My pregnant partner & I requested the sound on their guitarist amp to be turned down as it was so loud we could hardly hear each other. We unfortunately had to no choice but to leave mid-meal when this was refused. One of the waiters followed us out & apologised about the noise & the attitude of the guitarist & her friends. It appears there is a racist element to their attitudes.

The food was authentic and absolutely delicious, with each dish prepared to perfection. A truly delightful dining experience that we would highly recommend.

What a lovely place, I had a wonderful birthday dinner here, cheered me up so much and made me feel very special. The name of the place is very fitting :) Amazing food, lovely staff, so friendly and helpful and clearly enjoying what they're doing, sharing great food and drink with their guests. The atmosphere is amazing, the music, the decor, the pisco sours and the ceviche - it all took me right back to my trip to Peru 20 years ago, so feeling very happy and a bit nostalgic now. Everything is just spot on, thoroughly recommend!

In our party of five, four of us had never eaten Peruvian food before, and the fifth only in Peru. The menu was varied and it all sounded delicious, so we ordered a range of starters and mains, and each was very tasty. Highlights were the empanadas, yucca chips and chorizo special. We left feeling very satisfied and converted to Peruvian cuisine. The owner was delightful, and really passionate about his restaurant. The decor was colourful and fun, and the whole restaurant really clean and well cared for. I highly recommend Kusikuy as somewhere refreshingly different to eat in Brighton.

Such a nice place! The vegan main dish was ssssso delicious (really, really tasty Peruvian ajís). Also arguably the best vegan pisco sour I've had. There was live music too and the vibes were great.

I've now been here a couple of times. The moment you step into the restaurant it feels like you are stepping in Latin America. The owner (Nestor) is really friendly, welcoming, helpful. The food is great and the cocktails are delicious. It is a great place to meet up with your friends and share a few starters and a main or two between the group. I am so happy that this place has opened in Brighton and I look forward to gonig back again and again. They also do themed nights like Colombian nights with live music. Just ask the owner for the next event date.

Having to wait close to an hour for food and nobody telling you anything is a bit frustrating. The atmosphere and decoration are really good but the food might need improvement.

What a wonderful surprise! First time here and definitely will be back to try all the other dishes! The food is super fresh and authentic, the spices and flavours are amazing, pisco sour and Peruvian beer was fantastic, lovely atmosphere with authentic Cumbria music in the background and super friendly service. Five stars on all levels.

I was born in Peru but came to England when I was younger but coming here transported me back to Peru!!! The food, the service, the atmosphere made one of the best dining experiences I've had in a very lonely time! Come and enjoy the food which is outstanding and the cocktails were incredible! Hic! 🤭

Place located on the "upper" seafront of Brighton, very nice and characteristic. Truly excellent service and very friendly and helpful waiter. But the best thing about this restaurant are absolutely the dishes, truly superb!! Everything really great from the empanadas to the chicken, but the ribs are out of this world. If I had to go back 10 more times, I would get the ribs 10 more times. The mango cheesecake is also delicious. Average prices for Brighton. Really recommended!!!

Pleasant Birthday Dinner at a Peruvian Restaurant We celebrated my husband's birthday at a Peruvian restaurant with a distinct, eclectic decor that captured the essence of Peru. The food, especially the homemade chorizo, was nicely seasoned and fresh tasting. The owner, Nasto, was welcoming, making the occasion memorable. Overall, a good choice for anyone interested in trying Peruvian cuisine in a cosy setting. We will definitely come back again.

Delicious pisco sours & ceviche! Super friendly & fun 🦋

If you need your tastebuds livening up, this is the place to go! There is so much flavour to Peruvian food, using herbs and spices that are little known here. I had some fantastic ox heart skewers with some beautifully seasoned plain rice. My fellow diners tried a chicken and rice dish that had a definite Chinese influence (many Chinese settled in Peru, the friendly owner told me). For dessert, the churros con chocolate were just perfect…fluffy on the inside, crispy on the outside. A Peruvian take on cheesecake also proved popular. We’ll be back.

The owner was so nice, we made a quick conversation, he was really down to earth, also really helpful AND honest about the dishes, furthermore, the music and vibe was definitely there! Food was quite big portioned.

Lovely meal here the other night to celebrate our anniversary. Pisco sours are great & very strong. Nice relaxed vibe and the staff were all so lovely! The only place to get Peruvian food in Brighton, so very unique - my standout dish was the pork belly it was delicious! Would recommend!

Getting to know this Peruvian restaurant has been an experience on different levels. The restaurant is very beautiful and instructive because the walls are decorated with history and poetry, the food makes you travel to Peru, its products are so exotic and flavors that my palate has never tried. It is simply wonderful and the host Néstor is so kind and instructive, explaining each meal and its history that you have never experienced so many pleasures at the same time. It is an ideal place to impress your companion and very cozy and familiar. Simply unforgettable, the best alternative to Brighton. Thanks so much,definitely my favourite one!!
