Only buy the standard dishes you find on all menus from here. Mutter paneer was sweet, lamb bhuna was flavourless but chicken rogan josh was nice.

The food was a little late but the delivery driver was apologetic. The chicken tikka was tasteless and watery wouldn’t recommend.

Very poor quality food. Felt like I was delivered leftovers. Tried to call the owners but they not responded to my calls. Don’t order the lamb chops they were tough like car tyres.

Being of South Asian origin, we fancied ordering some curries instead of making them at home. Having moved to St Albans two years ago, we're yet to find a decent south asian takeaway that makes real curries. We're used to takeaway curries that taste just like home but it's clear that these are made for individuals who (through no fault of their own) haven't ever tasted a real homemade Pakistani/Indian/Bangladeshi curry. The butter chicken was disgusting and inauthentic, a sickly yellow colour (should be orange), SWEET (why on earth was there sugar in my curry?), with a heavy coconut and powdered nut flavour/texture. The chicken and lamb in their respective dishes were both grilled prior to being added to the base sauce which isn't done for flavour and again, isn't authentic unless it's a chicken tikka masala. Meat and poultry is never grilled before being added into all curries, however I've noticed a lot of Asian takeaways here do this to save time. The ratio of meat to sauce was also very low. The bombay aloo was bland, as was the chilli paneer that was simply seasoned with haldi (turmeric). The naan was fine but soggy. The chips tasted like the oil hadn't been changed in a while. The freshest item in our order was the additional side salad. If you're of South Asian background and know what curries really taste like, you most likely will not enjoy this.

They forgot one item: a plain Nan which I paid £1-95 for.

Despite the vivid colouring of each of the dishes, this unfortunately did not reflect on the taste. The bright yellow Mutter Paneer was far too sweet, and the bright red Paneer Tikka Masala was coloured with something other than chilli powder resulting in a bland main dish. The pieces of Paneer were far too large to absorb what little flavour there was, and hence highlighted how rubbery the texture was. We hoped that this would be a new local for us, especially with the glowing reviews, however, it doesn't look like we will order from here again.

Good food, but awful service. Food turned up 30 minutes late with no text or phone call to let me know there was a hold up. When finally delivered, all naan breads were missing and one of the main dishes was incorrect. Phone was solidly engaged for 20 minutes, so in the end I just had to drive down to the restaurant to return the wrong main and wait for them to cook a new one. Ultimately ruined the dinner for everyone as food had got cold etc. Try very hard to support small businesses, but this was just abysmal. Pleasant and apologetic once I turned up, but that’s just not good enough.

Our new favourite curry restaurant. Both previous orders have been early. Tonight's delivery was late .. but the food is still fantastic. Would still order again. I called to chase the order up .. they said they would call back and did. Customer service is as good as the food.

Food quality was awful. Lamb tasty super meaty/smelly. Chicken on the bone was over cooked Chips smelt like they’d be fried with really old oil. They were really dark in colour and smelt/tasted fish.y.

I can NEVER get a hot vindaloo they are always too mild this was pure fire exactly what I wanted - again driver was lovely if you want a spicy dish they don’t disappoint hubby likes plain non spice so he usually ends up with bland takeaways - but there was so much flavour to the chicken tikka and saag aloo fabulous

Food was very nice abs would defo order again, only advice would say to put the starters in plastic containers instead of polystyrene ones as the starters were slightly cold but still very nice.

Ordered an Indian as a pregnancy craving picked it out of the blue and it is absolutely amazing the food is so fresh no grease at all they even surprised me by putting a few extra bits in thank you so much was so kind and loved every mouthful will definitely be back!

So disappointed today. Received 2 things we didn’t order and didn’t get 2 things we did. Lemon rice instead of garlic rice, 2 naans instead of 1, didn’t order onion Bhaji, daughter didn’t get her tikka. Was also nearly 40 mins late. Potato in saag aloo too hard to eat. Shame as this was our go-to curry for months but won’t be ordering again.

Ordered on strength of recommendation and reviews on local community fbook group. Was not disappointed. We ordered mainly vegetarian dishes and all were great, the onion and chilli rice is worth trying.

The saag paneer was rubbery and the saag had no flavour or seasoning, it was absolutely bland. The dansak was very spicy but nice.

The delivery man left our food on the floor outside the main entry door to our building. The food was cold by the time we got down there to get it. Shame because we’ve never had this problem before. Saag aloo was cold as was the rice. Kids chicken and chips disgusting, wouldn’t give it to a dog! Sorry Kush, I won’t be ordering from here again.

The staff at kush are always very helpful when making my family's curries egg, dairy & meat- free. Other local indian restaurants confirm it's vegan and then later mention it still contained ghee, so it's nice to be able to trust Kush on their allergens. Thank you to the team at Kush!

Have been ordering from Kush for a long time. Food is always well prepared, hot and of food quality. I would always give it 4-5 rating. However tonight a little upset. They have a habit of delivering early, which is sort of ok, better than being late, but this time it was 40 minutes early, and nowhere near the confirmed time. I could have been in the shower and missed the delivery, and my son wasn’t ready to eat after we had already confirmed the time of delivery with him. Please Kush, give us more accurate delivery times so we can plan for the dinner. But main complaint, was the samosa. Have been ordering these from Kush for years, you get two nice good sized authentic restaurant samosas. However tonight we got two tiny frozen microwave style samosas, the type you get in a box from Iceland. It’s nit the end of the world, but what is upsetting is that Kush knew these were not their normal samosas, but instead of taking them off the order and giving the option to replace with something else, or perhaps giving 4 of these bite size samosas, they just gave us two tiny, horrible, cheapo samosas. Upsetting they made the decision to do that, especially to a regular customer. As I said not the end of the world, but sort of left me feeling cheated as they would have known what they were giving instead of the usual. Would appear Kush never reply to reviews ... hope you take the time to reply to this ... don’t take customers for granted guys. Thanks.

Ive been eating Indian food in London restaurants for 20yrs but Kush's food is exceptional! So tasty, value for money and the presentation was top class! The delivery guy was extremely polite too! Thanks Kush, you're going to have me as a regular for sure! Keep up with your yummy food!

Awful interpretation of Indian and This cooking. I can only guess the 5 star reviewers are comparing it to their ASDA tika Massala. Our 1st order ended with their delivering 2 hours early, this time I picked up a Thai meal - almost as bad as The Nascot Arms thai food. Sickly sweet food with seamingly Sugar added to everything. Inedible

Ive order a chicken dish and was sent a lamb dish which i dont eat. My kids were left with eating pilau rice and butter naan rather than cheese naan.A guy call Ali advised me to call back tomorrow to sort this out. I would really appreciate if my money can be refund as the service was not up to quality. Thank you

Despite the restaurant being extremely busy, the food was delivered in good timing. Everything was absolutely delicious, the flavours were excellent and the food arrived hot and fresh. Can not recommend highly enough, best Indian food around for miles.

Absolutely horrendous food. Madras tasted like a microwave imitation, chicken was dry and chewy. Rice was watery, naan was damp and just fell apart exposing the keema. Seekh kebab had no flavour and the the meat was dry, just like the entire meal. Will avoid in future, gutted and a waste of £16.

I used to order a veg biryani from here before and we used to love it. it was nice and mild. I ordered again, the menu doesn't have any chilli's next to it. However it was really spicy and me and my young son could not eat it. I called to tell them it was really spicy and found them very argumentative and rude and challenging everything I was saying. He said eventually he would send a flavoured rice, but the birayani cost nearly £7! I saved this money for a treat for me and my son and to get something that we couldn't eat & then to get told that I was wrong and it isn't spicy I think was quite upsetting and I will never order from them again. He eventually said he could put a discount on the next order we made, but in all honesty I won't be going to them again so it was precious money thrown away.
