Make sure to pop in when the hot sign is on! I absolutely love the milkshakes from here, totally worth the journey just for those ! Would recommend the biscoff one if you have a sweet tooth!

Although quite a while ago, I remember this being a good family stop-off, en route to see family in Selkirk. Decent Coffees, Doughnuts obviously top quality and we literally had the place to ourselves, which was nice. Located at Hermiston Gait, it’s a perfect mid-point leg stretcher if travelling from Glasgow to the Scottish Borders.

Great treat when staying in hotel opposite, we really enjoyed as a supper treat and with a Costa in hotel they went down well with a latte

Went to the st James quarter store, it wasn’t too busy and the layout was nice, it was a little expensive but a nice treat and the staff were very friendly, recommend visiting :)

If you love krispy kremes anyway and are close by pop in. Kids loved watching the doughnuts being made and the staff are lovely. Just a bit of fun to see and if you are really lucky you might bag yourself a super fresh still warm doughnut.

I remember when Krispy Kreme first opened in Edinburgh; there were lines out the door for weeks! Now many years later it’s still always plenty busy. The donuts are delicious, made right in front of you. You can smell them from the car park. I always get the classic donut because the other ones with fillings and extra icing are way too sweet for me. Service can be a tad slow, especially on the drive-thru but this time it was excellent. My only minor complaint is that the tables are not cleared regularly. If you’re passing definitely stop in for some donuts!

I went into Krispy Kreme at St James Quarter Edinburgh. It was really quite outside of the store. I went into the store and was greeted by the staff and offered me in their words "a "complimentary Doughnut" which is free to try. I accepted the Doughnut and asked the staff at the till was what the most popular Doughnut for the queen jubilee. The staff said too options and I chose the Celebration Crown. I went to my table and tried the free Doughnut. It was good and had some frosting on it but was a good starter Doughnut. The Celebration Crown was outstanding because It was tasty frosting on top and juicy creamy cherry core. The Doughnut was well designed too for the queen jubilee. Overall 10/10. Outstanding Doughnut fit for a king or queen. How was the service? very quick and information I was given was very helpful. Food 10/10 outstanding. food fit for a Queen. Value? Expensive donuts and not worth the price also trying to get here on foot is a nightmare due to it being near a hotel and a drive thru kfc all I'll say is if you don't drive go to tescos where your get 5 for 79p

we called here on September 2 and the young man who was serving inside around 12.30 to 1pm was the kindest and loveliest person. A real credit to Krispy Kreme. Its immaculately clean and fun to watch the donuts on the conveyor belt.

Stayed at the nearby Novotel and had a sudden hankering for donuts when I realised that the cafe is just next door. We came just a few minutes after they have closed and while employees elsewhere probably wouldnt have bothered serving us, the staff here were very happy to take our orders in. Definitely worth stopping by if you are in the area. I get Krispy Kreme all the time from supermarkets but you can really taste the difference when you get them fresh from here. The cafe is also very well designed and clean. A special thank you to Aya for your excellent, friendly customer service. You made our evening!

Sooo many donuts to choose from it was hard to stop myself going overboard!! We were staying at the Premier Inn nearby so walking distance - its a good job I don't live near I wouldn't be able to fit through the door . Great donuts ; yes a tad pricey but you get what you pay for they are really good quality and you can see the production line too - that's how fresh they are.

Drove over after being expected to stand at a freezing hatch somewhere else. Looking forward to takeaway inside. Changed to drive-thru only, big queue of about 10 cars which barely moved. Gave up after 20 minutes. Seemed to be hardly any staff inside. Waste of time, won't bother again. 'Hospitality' has lost all semblance of what it's meant to be about. The industry has allowed itself to be destroyed. Why didn't you fight for your businesses?

You can sit in the restaurant and watch the doughnuts prove and cook on an automated system. Wide variety of flavours. I recommend a visit - prices range from about £1.50 upwards.

Absolute disgraceful service at the drive through 1 person serving and doing the orders!! waiting time 20 minutes before getting asked our order, had to wait until they served person in front then gave us wrong order (missing drinks) claimed not to hear it ordered won't be returning

Terrible service today at drive thru one guy taking orders and preparing the orders, waiting time was 15mins to order then got told sorry I'm making orders for car infront, another 10min wait to find out my order was wrong 10 more minutes to get the correct order.. Won't be back

Dropped in for a coffee and a donut with family. Not impressed. Bunch of young girls and mothers. What a racket. The mothers just ignored their kids and the girls were running riot. Couldn't hear my self think. The noise was terrible and the staff did nothing to get the kids to quieten down. Will not be back.

Its currently getting work done and is closed. However a mobile van is there so you can still get donuts etc. Very tasty but price is high!

The doughnuts are really sugary and you get sugar all over your lips and it’s horrible. I would recommend this place if you are a fan of sugar but I wouldn’t if your not a fan of sugar.

Stopped here early evening. Place half empty but busy enough. Empty tables not cleared. Stood in line to be served. Assistants 1st language not English. A lot of difficulty communicating. Asked for a doughnut, was informed that there were none of the ones I asked for available.asked what flavours were available, that seemed impossible to answer. Have up and had coffee instead which also appeared to be a challenge. Would not rush to return. Very disappointed

We took our boys here for a tour after booking it in advance. The boys were taken on the tour by Calvin. He was fantastic! Really patient, full of Krispy Kreme knowledge and enthusiasm for his job! He’s an absolute credit to the company. I would highly recommend this tour for any family or organisation. What a fantastic service to provide free of charge. Well done Krispy Kreme

Grabbed coffee and donuts when we stayed at the novotel right opposite. This place is 24 hours too so late night coffee or snacks are available!

I don't know if this is a good idea or not, but a great place for a mid morning cup of coffee and, of course, a delicious doughnut.

Fantastic customer service, late in the day when I stopped to buy a pack of 3 and was offered an extra 9 for free! I dont think you will all get this offer, but we really enjoyed the range and variety of doughnuts.

We went to Krispy because it was just in front of our hotel but what a surprise! The doughnuts were delicious and seemed freshly made even at a Sunday night. Also the guy that served us ( a kind of ginger, very funny) was so cordial and friendly tolding is about Scottish history and clams. We would definitely return in another time.

We were staying with family post Xmas and as a treat we visited this restaurant near Edinburgh Park, right by the tram line and a Premier Inn ( with a swimming pool)

Lovely doughnuts , clean , friendly efficient and helpful , complete opposite of its neighbours ( kfc ) full of sugar but still probably healthier than chicken served in a filthy cafe ( I don’t think you can call it a restaurant )

PPD (Price per doughnut) is around £1.60-£2.10 or a box of 12 for £17 for premium nuts (and an option to buy an extra 12 for £5, which I did. A premium filled doughnut lasts about 3 bites. Quick take out visit. First visit here, won't be back in a hurry, or ever again to be honest. It's a bit of a fad, if places like this are so successful it just highlights how desperately in need of imagination people have when selling the most basic of products. 'Halal certified friendly' on the box which I'm sure means I'm giving some money to Islam in some way. Another reason not to return.

We always stop by here on our way home to glasgow from edinburgh. The choices are amazing & you're able to try a new one each time as they change them up or add new flavours regularly. Made fresh in shop too & you can honestly taste the difference, they melt in your mouth!!

I tried the Krispy Kreme for a meeting with a colleague, and cannot believe the price of doughnuts, which were mediocre at best. Considering this particular place caused traffic jams around Hermiston Gait, I was shocked at the average experience of the visit. Maybe the previous hype gave me higher expectations than were ever going to be met. The staff were nice, but frankly that was about it. Oh dear!, won't be back.

Nice seating area where you can watch the donuts be made. Staff are all really friendly. The donuts are amazing with a great choice off flavours.

I am a fan of Krispy Kremes and as there is no Dunkin in Edinburgh then this is the best option.

Visited the Drive thru for doughnuts to take into work. The pick your own dozen was chosen and the doughnuts were so fresh and amazingly tasty. Firm favourite is the strawberries and cream.

Stopped on several occasions. I really don't mind the overpriced doughnuts but the coffee is really bad and staff should learn how to make a late, cappuccinos, etc. Etc. Late is not: put double shot of coffee into cold milk and then steam it up....

On a late night drive I visited the Krispy Kreme drive through . Asked for three single donuts but the young gentlemen serving me informed me that they had overstocked and filled up a dozen of mixed donuts for the two of us ! You my friend will be spoken about in many conversations to come !

Came here for a drink as was driving past, excellent customer service and over all great experience! Was sitting down at a booth and there was a little girl waiting in the queue just as fresh doughnuts were being made so the guy got her behind for her to taste the fresh made ones letting her choose which one! Just shows how lovely they are in here!

Doughnuts from here are always a nice treat. I loved the filled ones and the new Nutella filled one is delicious!

These are the most disgusting, synthetic apologies for doughnuts I have ever eaten. Obviously it's partly down to taste and I'm not much of a doughnut fan at the best of times, but I actually couldn't eat these. Not a very pleasant buying experience either. When I compare them to churros in Spain,beignets in France or even Berliner (guess where? ;-) ) they come up sadly lacking. If I'm going to eat something that isn't actually very good for me I at least like it to taste better than this!

A we trip for a coffee and donut cappuccino was cold when I told him he put boiling water in it so could not drink it. The place was very untidy 830pm not busy so no excuse

We usually visit this krispy creme on the way back from costco every few months, doughnuts are usually fresh but on this occasion they were dry, we bought the dozen choose your own for 12.45 and 2x cuppacino for 2.55 each, coffees were cold, but they did change them and offer a free doughnut. The tables were really messy, but they are a busy place, they could however do with a floor attendant for cleaning!

Crackin doughnuts! We don't even like doughnuts but bought 24....yes 24, and managed to get through at least 10 between 4 of us in one day! I know it's ridiculous, but they are very nice. Fresh and big selection. They also do sit in and take away coffee's and juices, as well as we souvenirs including doughnut shaped cuff links, small boxes of hand made chocolates and drinking cups. Staff helpful and friendly. Great for a wee treat.

I got the three doughnuts for £4.85. I had two sand took one home for my stepdad. I didn't like the peanut butter and jelly one that much, but that's just my taste, but I liked the caramel biscotti one. Although it was tasty, I wouldn't say it's so great I would crave it. But each o their own, that's just my opinion. The boy who served me was very nice and helpful. I probably won't be back again, it was just so I could say I had tried it. There's nothing wrong with the place and it is good, just not something I would really want again. I got my stepdad the Lemon cheese cake one, he has yet to try it, but he can write his own review if he wants! Lol

Great Latte this morning. I managed to stay away from the lovely looking donuts. Great location opposite my hotel. Lovely staff - very friendly service.

Visited today as a group of 11 adults and kids and had arranged a free tour of the bakery. We all throughly enjoyed seeing how doughnuts were made and then decorating our own. Restaurant and bakery very clean and nicely decorated. Great range of doughnuts all very fresh and delicious. Coffee very tasty as well.

If you go earlier in the morning, you can watch the donuts being made on the other side of a window. A very good selection and brilliant service.

Not sure what all the hype is about the donuts were good but I have had better in a supermarket, my husband was not impressed by the coffee. My favorite is the lemon meringue. It is fun to see the preparation, the servers were having fun but not with customers just themselves which was a bit of putting.
