Very good fast food, a bit pricy. The staff was great

Burger is very good, but the wait was far too long was waiting for ages, it cost me an arm and a leg for a burger and milkshake - costs far too much.

Premises dirty. Didn't enjoy sitting inside.

I stand by it when I say Five Guys make possibly the best fast food burger out there and this branch has to be our go-to anytime we have a hankering for one HOWEVER something worth mentioning in current times is the cost which is getting increasingly steep. Our most recent visit cost over £32 for a burger, large fries, hotdog and two drinks.... The food itself is absolutely delicious, every bite is just fantastic but the cost dare I say it is a tad ridiculous for at the end of the day fast food.

Avg Five Guys experience which lucky for them is pretty darn good. Only complaint is my cheese could have been a little more melted. Upstairs has a great view as well.

Fries that weren’t done, raw in the middle and bland taste. Burger was alright but unseasoned meat. The toppings where quite fresh and what to expect. But the soggy bun )like it was dipped in water) ruined the burger totally. The staff was average. Felt expensive when the quality was so bad. I felt very unsatisfied when I left. First time trying five guys and sure won’t come back.

Great place, clean and great staff. Over £16 for a bacon burger & chips. The chips were lovely, but the burger was underwhelming. Nice flavour from the patties, but verging on the dry/over cooked side, not a lot of bacon and the cheese wasn’t the quality I would expect from a burger of that price. First time in a five guys in years - I’ll stick to Smash Burger.

Waited over an hour for delivery just to phone and be told there was no order

Friendliest service ever from the guy who took our order. We’d never been here before and he explained how to order and was super friendly and helpful. Didn’t try to get us to pay for bottled water he gave us the tap water which is obviously free and told us about the free peanuts too! Food came super fast. Was sooo delicious and fresh. Really good quality. Inside was clean too including toilets.

Shockingly bad experience. I've read a lot about how "wonderful and tasty" the burgers and the fries are... For a start £10.45 for a single cheeseburger...just the burger. After you get the fries and the drink you are looking at £20 quid for a burger 🤣🤣🤣 Let me just say that you can get Angus stake burger at St James centre for £9 quid... enough said 😎

Really good burgers and great service at this place. Five Guys are on the bit expensive side, though, but worth giving it a try.

Was here a few years ago and 5 guys for me is always worth that extra bit of cash. Far superior quality of burger and hot dog than other fast food restaurants and the fries are amazing. Definitely will be back later in the year

I don't typically go to "fast food" chains while on vacation, but if you want a good meal for relatively cheap (cheaper than other burger places around), go here. The staff were very nice and one of them remembered me (I went twice because I couldn't stop thinking about the spicy fries).

Food was awful £52. For 3 burgers 1 hotdog 2 fries 4 drinks over priced. I got the tough cold hot dog supposed to be beef plastic at best. Never again over priced rubbish

Over priced marketed burger. Tasted good and to my taste. Just seriously questioning the pricing these days of Food. Nearly £4 for potatoes. £10 for a burger £5.50 for a milkshake. £22 to walk out Hungry. Although a notch above the chains. **Response to Five Guys:- There is no more quality in your ingredients as there are in the other Chains. Please do not justify your pricing on Power words like Quality and Freshly prepared. All customers expect freshly prepared and quality. This does not mean overpricing Mr Manager. The truth is you wish your customers to pay your staffs wages. The reality is we only wish to eat well and affordably and not be ripped off with £5.50 milkshakes or over £4.00 fries. Something to pass on to your President.

Fries caught somewhere between being fries and wedges. Veggie options are pretty appalling given how many people look for veggie options these days. Have some veggies and cheese in a bun... Thanks. Chips are cooked in peanut oil so those with nut allergies should also avoid. Service pretty slow to top it off.

Dayum! They really are thaaat good. A burger you can customize in every detail, what else could you want? Nice place and super ambient.

Sarà un pò caro ma..... io ho sempre preso il Cheeseburger sia qui che a Londra e devo dire che vale quello che costa, veramente ottimo, abbondante, ben fatto e con le salse che scegli tu, (Mayo e cipolle alla piastra) FAVOLOSO. Il milkshake è buonino ma costa troppo. Poi, non ho capito il motivo per cui, i numeri degli ordini non vengono mostrati in progressione su di un display invece che gridati del banconiere quando pronti per il ritiro. N.B. sullo scontrino c'è anche il codice per aprire la porta dei bagni.

The food was ok, but expensive. The only option for having the food was in a takeaway bag, which just felt like a lot of additional rubbish seeing as I was dining in.

I like Five Guys food a lot tho it can be quite expensive for "fast food". However must say the quality is far better than other burger places. I'm not fond of the interior furnishing/style and the Frederick St branch is a wee bit tired, but the staff were polite and efficient, and the food is good. I had a hot dog with cheese and it hit the spot nicely!

BAD-burger BAD-customer service BAD-experience Bizarre sensation on first bite into cheeseburger. Felt like it was cold but then realised bun was chilled & beef patty not as hot as it should be. Returned to server & asked if they toast or heat the buns. She replied that they do so I invited her to feel the bun. She felt it with the back of her hand & to my surprise said “There’s still a bit of warmth in it.” I then asked to speak to manager & was ushered to back of the restaurant. Manager agreed with me (& the other 3 in my party who had felt the burger.) The bun was chilled, not warm, not tepid, not room temperature but chilled in fact super-chilled as if it had been brought out of a fridge & a beef patty put into it. No apology. No how can I make this right. Just a robotic and laissez-faire “Do you want a remake” I repeatedly asked him why staff were contradicting a customer on both his, mine & the 3 other diners I was with assertion. I also asked if this was acceptable for an £11 burger from a fast food outlet. He would not engage in any sort of explanation or apology & just keep repeating “Do you want a remake” When I agreed he asked me what was on it? I replied that it would be on the order to which he asked me for the receipt. I had to go back upstairs & retrieve the receipt from where our party were seated. By the time I got back down I was so incensed that I asked for & received a refund of £10.95 for the burger (from a bill over £55) and still no apology. I have frequented Five Guys in both Belfast & London but can assure you I will never set foot in any again following this experience

Honestly one of the best burgers I've ever had but that is just Five Guys. But the service was incredibly amazing!

My first time trying out Five Guys and I now understand the hype! Ordered the bacon cheese burger basket. I always leave burger buns wherever I eat, so great to have the option to bunless from the outset. Beautiful quality beef patties, large portion size. Had salad, pickles and mayo as additional options - all fresh and crispy. Ended with a vanilla shake, which was absolutely lush - thick and creamy. Great view of Castle while eating too. 👍🏻

Dined at Five Guys for the very last time the other day. Myself and my colleague wanted to settle a debate as we weren't sure you could beat a Five Guys burger. After a couple of bites it was clear Smashburger was better in every way. So if your ever in Dunfermline, Glasgow or Newcastle give them a try and you'll see what I mean. Also the chips were well overcooked or had been lying for a while. Not up to their usual high standard. Didn't bother to complain as we knew we wouldn't be back anyway.

Just class as usual. The staff is so friendly it's incredible. Last week I was the first customer in, which I am sure it must have been annoying as I was there at 11 on the dot, but they opened the door with a huge smile and the service was amazing as usual. The food is great, don't get me wrong, but it's the staff that makes the difference

The best fries, you can actually feel the taste of the potato and for a regular size, they give you a lot of them. Cheeseburger also really good.

They've put their prices up, and because they don't do meals and you must buy separately it's now close to £15 for a burger and chips with no drink (drinks are £4.50 for coke or fizzy)

Kind staff, tasty burgers and a very good central location in Edinburgh. So overall a very good FiveGuys.

Las hamburguesas no me han gustado y me parecen caras. Las papas fritas sí están muy buenas. No está mal la comida si no hay otras opciones alrededor para comer.

Burgers are always good here. Definitely better than other fast food places such as McDonald's, but not as good as the numerous restaurants nearby which are equally priced. Great place to go if you hate money.

Be careful!! Worst experience in my life at burger places. Burger contains only bun and meat, everything else you have to order extra. Idea not bad, but for first time customers it should have an instruction. TOPPING means FILLING! Also too expensive for burger place.

Five Guys needs no introduction when it comes to freshly prepared fast food. Their burgers come with two beef patties by default and the buns are soft. The fries are made from freshly cut potatoes with their peel on which imparts an unique flavour. The portion size of the food is ample. This is a self service restaurant so after placing the order and collecting it, one has to find a seating spot on their own. P. S. If you're planning to visit the loo, keep the receipt intact.

People rave about 5 guys burgers, £9.95 for a cheese burger, it's nearly worth it. £3.45 for the fries definitely not. I won't be rushing back anytime soon l.

Great food cooked fresh every time. Just one suggestion....."regular" fries are about twice the portion size of other places so be sure you are hungry before you order!
