Krishna Sweet Centre in Derby

went to try the food out and it didn't disappoint the samosas and the spring rolls were especially really nice with their sauce.

We only just found this shop recently even though it has been there for over 30 years!! We'd read that the staff were friendly & helpful and they really WERE. Being unfamiliar with a lot of the food, they couldn't have been more helpful. We tried an assortment to eat as a couple, then placed an order the following week for a family birthday. It was an easy process and the food was delicious - reasonably priced and generous portions of curries, samosas, spring rolls, onion bhajis and pakoras.

Ordered 70 samosas they were lovely everyone enjoyed them. Had some spring rolls to they were fantastic also.

Been going to this shop since 1991, always fresh samosas and sweets, never had an issue with food. Always busy, they could do with 2 people serving customers.

We have been buying food from the Krishan Sweet Centre for ourselves for many years. Called in last week and as usual the samosas and pakora were fantastic, as was the mixed vegetable curry and chick pea curry. The 'gravy' is divine. The food freezes well too. Thank you, as always

I’m a person who rarely eats food from outside. Because mostly you get foods which are too much full of grease or too much of spices also foods which are hardly fresh. But this shop whenever I go there they have freshly made food less oil which you can eat every day. Very friendly staffs and the shop is very clean. I recommend each and everyone to try the food which is just like home.

Been going to this lovely little place for over 20 years but daughter went and picked samosas the person was in the phone so just stuck in a bag they were awful a lot smaller very greasy filling not very nice and increased in price so disappointed this place has been such a big part or our lives and the community

Hi, We ordered samosas last Thursday for delivery Friday but nothing turned up which was very dissapointing as we had some in December and they were amazing. We'll try again this week and see what happens. Regards

I have not found better quality samosas anywhere in Derby. OK they are about 5p more than most other places but they are also bigger and usually better quality. The vegetable pakora is definitely worth a try as are the onion bhajis. I found the stuffed chillis a bit hot but some people like that. The samosas are hand made in the traditional way and it shows in the quality. My only real advice is do not buy only one. If you do you will regret it and want to go back for more.

Finally located this lovely sweet centre after so many recommendations from friends. It didn’t disappoint, very friendly and the food was top class. Samosas, pakoras and onion bhajis were excellent and so reasonable. So pleased we’ve found it, we’ll definitely visit again soon.👍

called in for samosas and tried a curry...omg....is all I can say. I am well travelled and hate traditional food that is adapted for the UK palate, this is not this is just bare bones traditional food as is and just the best...cannnot recommend enough thank you

We have been buying food from here for more than 30 years. The food (vegetarian) is authentic and tastes amazing and very reasonably priced. When we moved away from Derby a few years ago we still make regular trips to the shop to stock up as it all freezes well. The family that own the shop have time to talk and explain dishes that may be new and they have a 5 star hygiene rating. So pleased I was introduced to this shop all those years ago.

Quite simply the best samosas in Derby. We call in on the way home from work and have to buy 30 at a time they are that good!

We have been going here for years. What ever you do, order lots of Somosa's. You may only think that you need 10s, but as soon as you get them home, they will be gone. if you have a small part order over 20! The spring roles are also very nice. Parking is very difficult being on a main road. We have stuck the car right outside, but you are likely to get a ticket. The shop is small and on special occasions it does get very busy, you are likley to cue outside of the shop on asian holidays such as Diwali etc.

I went here on the recommendation of a work colleague and it didn't dissapoint. A great choice of food and sweets and excellant value for money. Recommended as one of the best in Derby.

Pure Indian VEGETARIAN sweets, savouries and take-away curries. Kind gentle owners and staff. No meat or fish served here. Close to the Derby Hindu Temple. People travel miles for the samosas.
