Visited kooks for the first time.it was clean.ataff were very pleasant and the food was lovely and very well priced. Will definitely be back.

Have passed this cafe many times and today paid it a visit, outstanding. Staff welcoming attentive, Food 10 and all the coffee I could handle. This cafe is well worth a visit and we will be back just for the banter 😉 Sasha and Will

Always a pleasure coming here for all kinds of foods, for me the breakfast is outstanding and the atmosphere is lovely, so warmly and very cosy.

Absolutely loved my lunch here, might have been the best toastie I've ever had. Will definitely be back.

A very pleasant lunch was had after a long walk. At first on entering I thought I was 'under dressed' in my walking boots and back pack but I was made to feel at home very quickly and had a great tasting lunch with generous helping and a great big mug of coffee. The staff were friendly and engaging and I was even offered a refill for my coffee. Will be back for sure.

Walking past and decided to go in for coffee and scone. The scone was just perfect and coffee top ups appreciated.

Just back from Kook it was gorgeous my first time but not my last. I had a salt chilli chicken wrap with salad and chips. Well I've never seen such a big wrap it was really delicious. The staff were really friendly dispite the fact they were busy and down two staff. Can't wait to go back 😋😋 definitely recommend it.

Called in for lunch as had read good reviews - & great that it turned out that they were fully justified! Great toastie, served with ramekins of crisps, coleslaw & a really fresh, beautifully presented side salad - care & pride clearly taken in food! Very pleasant staff. Will definitely be back!

Really good for coeliac choices (separate menu) and portion sizes, came across KooK by accident whilst in Bangor but will head there next time. Staff are very friendly. Very easy to walk past and dismiss, but you should not.

We visited Kook on Monday 24 July and enjoyed a wonderful meal with friendly and efficient service. It was great value and we highly recommend this bistro.

Classy restaurant on Bangor's Main Street. Soft ambiotic internal colours, gentle lighting, attractive wall decor and relaxed atmosphere to compliment ones meal. Varied menu offering exquisitely tasty meals. Friendly attentive waitresses, prices very reasonable.

Amazing gem of a place! Took my mum here on Saturday for lunch and it was excellent! The staff were super nice and friendly and really helpful. My mum (being awkward) asked for alot of changes to her order and the girl was brilliant! I had a king prawn and salmon open salad and it was incredible. Such a lovely experience and will definitely be back. No wonder it was so busy! 😁

Arrived for lunch, and we were seated very quickly. The menu is a good size and varied. The venue itself is nicely decorated and has a nice ambience. I had the pulled pork sandwich and my allergy issues were dealt by the kitchen staff with appropriate substitutions. The food was great. Portions are very large, if you like to be well fed this is the place for you. All very reasonably priced. Nothing bad to say at all. Give it a try for yourself.

Great tasting food and great service

This was a wonderful venue for our family get together. We all ordered different things from the extensive menu and were all exceptionally pleased with the standard of food and presentation. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff who were extremely friendly, professional and obliging. Highly recommended.

If your in Bangor you have to try Kooks, they cater for all, Vegan, vegetarian, allergy, intolerance. The food is lovely 😍 the staff are so friendly, if you like a strong coffee like myself then you need to try here, you get free topups aswell 😀

Kook have never let me down, consistent high standards for food and always service with a smile. I have some food intolerance issues and the folks at Kook have been super helpful, highly recommended 👌

I had the most amazing egg Benedict's. Everything was so beautiful and professionally cooked. Seen so many dishes coming out and all looked gorgeous. Table service was brilliant and even offered a fill up in coffee. I found a little gem . Hats off to the chef . I will definitely be returning as I have not stopped talking about this place. Bangor needs a place like this.

Oh my where do I start ! From entering it was such a great experience ,myself n wee grand daughter were showed to a lovely table with fresh flowers on it (they all had same ) waitress was so lovely and patient with a fussy 12 yr old. . the. The food honestly the most perfect fry eveything was perfect ! The pancake stac granddaughter had was so big filled plate n she cleared it 😀 no rush to go either such a relaxing precious time . A fantastic place that we have been to a number of times. Food is great and at a fantastic price. Great with our kids. We were seated quickly and service is always great, even when very busy. Don't make the mistake of them knowing it is your birthday or you may get a rendition of happy birthday at full pelt from the staff.

Amazing customer service, huge portion sizes that are presented very elegantly and the prices are so reasonable. The worst thing was the menu had so much selection it was hard for me to make a decision. Gluten free and vegan menus readily available as well. Worth every penny!

I can honestly say that we've never had a bad experience here. The menu is extensive and all the food - even the veggie & vegan stuff - is top notch. Jim and the rest of the team are to be commended.

Always great food, service and atmosphere in Kook. Big portions and great value. Took My mum for Mother’s Day and it did not disappoint! We’ve also been for a taster night and afternoon tea….amazing!!!

Unprofessional, unfriendly the minute walked in the door, least to say didn't feel welcomed to stay, so left. Not be back. Blame the 'sister-in-law' who works there. I'll add: next cafe i went to i was greeted with a friendly warm welcome and a smile. Attitude was off from the start.1st Impression counts alot! Ive worked in the industry so I know.

Why have i not noticed this place before? Cant fault this place,excellent food ,service and presentation and prices very reasonable.You might wait a little for your meal as everything is freshly made but trust me it is worth waiting for.Free top ups are also offered for your tea or coffee which is a nice touch by the friendly staff. When in Bangor try this place you,ll not be disappointed.

Excellent breakfast and good prices

I don't know why I've never been before but I've definitely been missing out! I had a similar meal (not so good) a week ago at another local establishment and it cost almost twice the price. If you want great value and lovely staff this is the place to go!

Popped in this morning, I must say that I had the most delicious breakfast, free top up off coffee, menu to suit any diner, with lots of choice, staff delightful and efficient, highly recommended A****

Had breakfast here 12th of october ordered the big breakfast tea and coffee, wow what a breakfast, kept us going till dinnertime, i managed most and my husband managed all, the owner was very nice and friendly visiting all the tables with top ups of tea and coffee, we were on a break for our anniversary, will visit again if in the area

Pleasantly surprised. Portion size is generous and the best thing is that the salad wasn't boring. It was a proper dressed salad with vinegarette. Recommend highly the Chicken club sandwich

Not a recommended visit. Breakfast items mostly burnt and hard. Seats very uncomfortable.

Went to kook Bangor today for the First time. 1st impression when we opened the door was whoa this is expensive. Couldn't have been further wrong. I had the large kook fry & my wife had the small. They were both enormous. The food was beautiful, perfectly cooked & served on a hot plate. The staff were friendly and helpful & made pleasant conversation with us. The bill with 2 pots of tea was under £20. Will be back soon. Stephen dawson

Eggs Benedict are fab when you can get in. We arrived at open time 10am and were still outside at 10:15. Not useful when the traffic wardens are past every minute and you are limited to 1 hr.

What an amazing place. Nothing special from outside, but our food was amazing. I’d Kook favourite toastie. Very well filled toastie, chicken, bacon and no shortage of Brie or cranberry. Partner had lovely pulled pork. All served with Fries and nicely dressed salad if aoiraliswd carrots, onions etc. definitely recommend it and will be back!

Best food in Bangor, had breakfast on Tuesday and back again on Wednesday for lunch. Soup amazing, actually everything amazing service best I have ever had, free tops ups without asking. Go at least 3 times a weeks as their menu is pages Have tried most everything can't recommend highly enough. Back for 7 course taster menu on 25th byo can't wait. We shared a lunch which was more than enough

Our favourite for breakfast & lunch when in town. Great staff and freshly cooked food and when there try the speciality scones. Great all round.

Beim Tagesausflug nach Bangor hier zu Mittag gegessen. Das Essen (Bürger für den Sohn, Sandwich für mich) war ausgezeichnet. Das Personal war freundlich und flott. Abzug gibt's aber für das Ambiente.

Whenever I visited: "Kook" the staff couldn't possibly have been friendlier throughout. 😀😀 Since it was warm outside I ordered a chocolate milkshake , & the staff even put chocolate syrup in it! 😀So, the cool chocolate drink, was , delicious! 😀So , thank-you, Kook! 😀

Unbelievable food; the soup was beautiful there was such a good range of vegetarian food. All the staff are delightful and there was such a warm welcome as soon as you step in the door.

Took our English visitors to Kooks to sample the delights of an Ulster fry. Preston(staff) was in fine form. He remembered all the details from our previous visit some weeks ago and chatted to our guests. Service and food fantastic and good value.

My husband and I visit kook today got the warmest welcome, was lovely to see Preston and Jim. Our meal was delicious, the presentation is beautiful, big thumbs up to the new chef. We are so looking forward to the reopening of Saturday night 7...

Stood for 5 minutes before anyone came near us to take us to our seats. 20 minutes later get my sausage, bacon and egg bagel but the meat was stone cold in the middle, had to be returned but I was unable to accept a replacement as we had a 2 year old who had waited long enough by this stage. Giving 2 stars as my partner enjoyed her meal

Delightful wee gem on Bangor's main street. The scones were lovely and the pina colada scone surprisingly delicious. The house blend coffee also tip top, will be back for lunch!
