KOMO in Guildford

Omg im really shocked how this place went down the hill recently, used to be really nice place with fast service and friendly door guys!Unfortunately changed, the service was terrible we had to wait 10 min or even longer to be served, cocktails not as best for the price of £12!Dirty toilets and very sticky bar area.Those two doormen were very unpleasant and rude to us and looks like the club rules aren’t the same to everyone!Avoid!

Rude door staff, unhelpful bar staff, overpriced badly-made cocktails.

This place is amazing and delivers outstanding service. The manager went above and beyond on providing me with my favourite whisky that they usually don’t have. Up on request I came the week after and it was there. This place is amazing and recommend to go and see it. staff in the bar and security are amazing.

I would not recommend this cocktail bar, staff is not accommodating including the security staff. Got an email from the manager/owner of this cocktail bar asking for more to help them understand my bad experience which k replied to but no reply.

It's much smaller than the KOMO in woking, but it still had a nice atmosphere. They had a large selection of cocktails and shots, and most of the drinks I tried were nice except for a few that had way too much alcohol. The music was great. They had all the classics on and had people dancing all night.

Not the biggest space but good for small groups to have a good night

Went to the Guildford Komos, amazing drinks and a good idea of having drinking games available too - great for friends. Atmosphere to begin with (8pm) was very quiet so would recommend going a bit later. Had a great experience and would recommend.

The older gentleman on the door was absolutely lovely, very polite and managed to find us a table when we didn't have a reservation. Order taken quickly, good tasting drinks . OK prices, would definitely recommend for a visit.

Bouncers are rude and entitled. They would not let me try and call a lift away from crowd as the smoking area was packed and could not hear on the phone. I had to permanently leave and had a telling off. The elderly bouncer waved his finger in my face and cautioned me, rather than lend a hand to arrange transport. Club was nice. Bar staff fun and smiley.

Had the pleasure of holding an event here in their room upstairs. Excellent bar & door staff all run by a very professional management team. Large car park close by making is an ideal location.

An older crowd here in a relatively cramped downstairs. Good bar service, quality of bands they have in varies. Busy on a Friday and Saturday.

Literally the best cocktail masterclass I have ever done. Marcus was super knowledgeable and also a great laugh. Would highly recommend going here and if you can get Marcus as your bartender definitely do it.

Had booked ahead on a bar crawl and service was friendly and quick as well as delicious cocktails! Recommend for anyone who wants a nice atmosphere, good drinks and prices.

Overpriced, small and not in a good way! Music is far too loud to be a cocktail bar as it claims. Staff rude (except the doormen who were lovely 1/10

Best cocktails will definitely be back.

It's a really good experience for an occasional outing, the cocktails are quite unique and most of them are good. 4 stars as it is a bit expensive (£11/13 a cocktail after service) and some cocktails come with additional things which could be explained to make the experience better.

Nice cocktails, made with real effort, in a cosy bar. This location has been through a few types of bar in its time, I can see this one lasting.

Always loved this cocktail bar, it's always so clean and tidy although this visit the ladies toilets could have done with a once over... But honestly that's me being pedantic! Great cocktails friendly staff and all round good evening!

Prices on the menu are 10 pounds but they charge 12. Quite expensive compared to the poor experience you get. Staff is nice.

Love the cocktails although had to leave after too much sophie ellise bextor and 25 year old songs. The dj needs updating. Some of the dress code tragic. Good service just could do with some tweaks and updates. Unfortunatley music was so bad i wouldnt go back

Was there for a party in the upstairs function room and had a great time. Bartender Marcus was very friendly and service was quick. Only downside was how expensive the cocktails were.

Had such a great time. We booked a cocktail masterclass for 2. Our Host was Kieran and he was brilliant. Very knowledgable and a great teacher. He also reccomended the perfect cocktails after getting to know our drink preferences. We stayed after the class to have a few more drinks, because we enjoyed it so much.

Just had a fantastic night at Komo Woking. The look and layout of the bar are great, but the ambience and drinks were amazing!! The music was loud enough to encourage the girls to dance, but low enough to be able to chat. The cocktails were excellent, maybe a bit too easy to drink…. Easily as good as any top London bars I have been to, without the hassle and cost of trekking in. We will definitely be making this our go-to place for nights out with friends. Thank you KOMO!

We had a brilliant night at Komo. Friendly welcoming bartenders, plenty of cocktails to choose from and a fabulous atmosphere. Look forward to going again.

We had a lovely cocktail Masterclass at KOMO. We were lucky enough to have the upstairs bar to ourselves. Marcus took us through all the cocktails available to us to choose from - essentially any cocktails we liked. The experience was excellent and we couldn't fault it. We ended up spending our entire evening there as the staff were so kind and attentive. We will be visiting again. We would thoroughly recommend

The place is lively, a bit overpriced for the drinks and the door staff aren't friendly.

Great menu, lovely cocktails, and fast service. Went in the early evening and was pleasantly surprised how quiet it was, compared to the usual crowds. (Also of note: a safe space that uses the "Angela" system)

We did a cocktail masterclass with James and it was great, he showed us the basics of cocktail making, properly measuring out drinks and shaking them, talked through making different cocktails. We then made 3 cocktails which tasted amazing, James was really friendly and chatty and made the whole experience really fun. Recommended the masterclass for anyone who loves a cocktail, really good value and the bar has a fantastic atmosphere.

Tried to get a drink at 19.45. Despite looking open and having lots of staff, was told they're closed and asked to leave. Please update opening hours on Google...

I like a cocktail as much as the next person but very expensive and not alot of alternative drinks. Cool looking place, if you have deep wallets.

Nice cocktails. A bit pricey for what you get and staff could be a bit more friendly (just a bit) but it was good.

Visited here yesterday for drinks with a friend. We were allocated an area at the bar on the first floor in the new Gin Bar. It was a good atmosphere and the staff were very accommodating. This is a place we have been to many times before and will continue to come back to. My only ‘comment’ from last night was the new menu. The green background/black text and small print was quite difficult to read. May be better with white text on a green background.

Just been in for a couple of pre dinner cocktails and had fantastic service as well as bloody delicious drinks. They've got the table service and Covid measures sorted, and the staff are really friendly. Good work Komo

I loved it. After going to 3 other places in Guildford that night we ended up at Komo and it was great. It was 5 pound to get in which was worth it. It was just the right amount of people and the music was amazing. Great atmosphere drinks were a little pricey. it would be good if they did some drink offers

If your face don't fit I wouldn't waste time or money in there if your heavily tattooed or different in any way they either won't let u in or find a way if making u leave. Save your self the issues and don't go

Great night out, turned up at 9pm Friday night, stayed past midnight. Had a table for 8 of us, service was great, enough room to dance, but still buzzing. Cheers

Cracking venue - went Saturday night, meeting friends. We were soon dancing the night away! Was busy initially but staff friendly and well trained. The live music was fantastic - a top band. Will be back when next in town.

We went on Friday for happy hour which was great value. Band came on later which was great fun we all joined in with the dancing . And not too packed busy so we were still able to chat, use the loo and have some space!

Too small for live music. The bar is about 10 feet from where the band were, so making yourself heard was nigh on impossible. Drinks range was good and service was fine, just far too cramped and loud. Not local but I'd go back if it was a non band night, although the band on were pretty good, they'd do themselves more justice in a larger place

A good vibe We visited Komo as a large good of work colleagues. We had a table booked, which I would recommend. It’s not a very big place and can feel a little crowded as the night goes on. They do live music, good cocktails and the staff are friendly.

Went for Happy Hour for a friend's birthday and had a fantastic time! The cocktails were delicious, I think we tried almost all of them! We were quite hungry so the staff had pizza brought in for us. So friendly and nothing too much trouble and THEN! The band came on and well - that had us all on the dancefloor! Will definitely be back. Thank you, Komo!
