Kolkata Indian kitchen in Manchester

Wanted a decent Indian when staying at the Hilton on Deansgate saw this on trip advisor with good ratings and only a few minutes walk. Nicely furnished and the food was excellent great friendly service from the waiter. If you like Indian food this is well worth going, this is one of the best Indian restaurants I’ve been in.

I came here on New Years Eve to have a nice meal with my partner. We had a nice warm welcome and were seated promptly. Our drinks came very quickly after we were seated. We ordered a mixed grill, vegetable rice and garlic naan. When the food arrived it looked freshly cooked and not heated up, like you get in most restaurants, the food tasted really nice and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The restaurant is nice, the staff are nice and the food is gorgeous. The food is very reasonably priced, definitely value for money. Kolkata is definitely a place to come if you are in Manchester City Centre.

Visited this Indian restaurant as we stubbled across it when walking through Watson street. With its brightly lit signs, we decided to go for an Indian food. Upon arrival, we were seated straight away, nice decor and easy choice of menu. We all have a mix varies of dishes, a couple of mix grills to share, all tasty and flavour with a nice spice to them. Would commend this place as we have others in the area and have to say the food have a depth in favour. The only bad part to the restaurant is that you can’t immediately Identify this restaurant as it off the deaten track.

Now to explain the situation. I am fussy. Really fussy AND I have quite a few dietary requirements! So eating out is always a bit of a mine field for me. We chose this restaurant because it was located well for our evening activities and it was priced well. I am so glad we did. The food was really good. The other reviews talked about its authenticity and they are correct; but it was more than that. The food was some of the best I have tasted in a very long while. I raved so much about the naan bread my partner told me to put a sock in it. But as someone who normally ‘puts up’ with mediocre and relatively bland food because of what I cants or won’t eat, when I find something this good I have to tell people. I rarely review places. It’s not really fair on them as I’m difficult to please. So when I do, please understand this is a recommendation to go and something I feel is deserved. Go, eat, enjoy. I doubt you’ll regret it.

Called here for food On 8/12/18.. fantastic food. Although menu looks very basic.go with and ask for authentic Food tastes extremely authentic and flavor burst though the meat. Extremely impressed.. food was very well cooked and presented. Great Indian food 👍🏼

I visited this new indian restaurant just by chance when with family. The food was absolutely delicious and very good value for money. I ordered the mix grill and chicken jalfrezi. Nan was soft and tasty. Well done will be returning soon
