Kokoro Caterham in Tandridge

Every kokoro I’ve been to gives your katsu curry separately, even with a mixed main. The Caterham manager demands that the sauce is drizzled into the main to save costs. People enjoy consistency, you don’t see McDonald’s packing their fries with the burger! Useless. Forget Caterham Kokoro, not worth the hassle.

It's just meh! Food ain't great. Service (staff) in there is good but they don't have any control over the food. It just ain't good. Bland. Everything has to be stuffed into a smaller than necessary container which makes it difficult to eat. No option to eat in, you still have the same incontinent overly stuffed paper pot. I can't be arsed with places like this. The sooner it closes down the better.

It was good when they first opened but now it’s like as if they don’t follow the recipe they just cook however they think it’s good but it’s not good. Everything taste different compared to the Croydon branch. We are very happy Kokoro opened in Caterham! Proper nice food in a huge bucket we love it. A great addition would be if they made bubble tea!

My main beef dish with rice looked like a dog had chewed it up and spat it out. Ate one mouthful, tasted bland. Cooked bad, rice cold. Didn't eat more in fear that I'd get sick. And woke up in the night and threw up. Not happy. No response off them still to try and resolve the issue . Wouldn't recommend

Very pleasantly surprised! My first experience trying Kokoro today and I am not one to leave reviews so it must be good! TBH I have walked past the shop before but didn’t realise it was hot food… I thought it was cakes! Saw them on Deliveroo and my weary hung over soul was crying out for some comfort food and this did not disappoint. Ordered sweet sour chicken and rice and some veg spring rolls. Portions are huge, delivery was super quick and piping hot and the flavour ticked every box - properly saucy too! I consider myself to be quite fussy and this is an honest review, I am very pleasantly surprised and glad I have found this lovely little spot. Looks like they also have good vegetarian/veg options which works well for my family. This is a bit of a gem for Caterham. I look forward to trying other menu options.

First time I bought sushi take away for my grandson and it was old even had a weird smell so he could not eat it I bought the love salmon box the salmon did not smell good and even the rolls were sticky like the whole box was a few days old . Disappointed 😞

Such a treat to have Kokoro in Caterham 🍱🥡 Scrummy Japanese/Korean takeaway. Good portions, Chicken Katsu my favorite, and the staff always very friendly. Recommended 👍

I always buy my sushi to take home from here for my family. My granddaughter s favourite food and this definitely is the best in the area.

I've only had takeaway – either picking up from the restaurant or ordering their food home. The dishes I have tried so far (sushi, katsu chicken and pumpkin korroke) are really good value for money. I think the staff are quiet but friendly and the restaurant is the cleanest Kokoro I have ever seen. I have become a regular customer!

Very rude and abrupt female server, who suggested that her attitude was due to being paid the minimum wage. I found this astonishing and left with a feeling of great disappointment.

First time trying this place and very impressed. Good selection of food and nicely done.

My son had teriyaki chicken here for takeaway. If you like sugar, then this is the place to go. Their food is full of sugar. It was so sweet that my son didn't eat it. On a positive note the staff are friendly and accommodating and the place is clean.

Ordered the salmon teriyaki. First f apl the salmon wasnt great at all and the whole meal was overloaded with sauce, we basically throw both in the bin. (Cost around £11) also there was so much oil in both meals including our spring rolls (which also went in the bin !) Not very happy.

Love kokoro! The only thing I have so say in my opinion the rice on the sushi is usually overcooked which I don't really like it and felt the difference from other stores. But even with that I still eating there as everything is delicious and staff are always lovely. Even if they don't have what you want, they will ask you to wait for 10m and they are going to do it for you ❤️

Had the sweet and sour chicken, it was super bland and I wouldn't have it again. I was expecting more as it looked sooooo good! Sushi rolls where fresh and tasty but had better from Sainsbury's in Warlingham if I am honest!

Great food, lovely staff definitely worth a visit.

Ordered through Deliveroo was very little noodles in the bowl there was so much oil in the bowl that I couldn’t actually eat it

Wanted a quick lunch meal to take away. I ordered the Katsu Curry. Very generous portion! A decent amount of rice and so much chicken! I couldn't believe it when the server kept cutting the chicken and putting it in my container. I will be honest and say I have had better katsu currys elsewhere, but it was still great value for money for a very filling hot lunch!

Ordered the chicken teriyaki today. The chicken is so tough it is inedible. I’ve had good meals here but this one was absolutely disgusting. Must have been sitting for hours I am incredibly disappointed and for £9.05, a real waste of money

They give way too much rice and very little chicken to save money. The redhill and Sutton do their portions way better, I have even seen the manager of this branch tell off the staff for giving too much food which seems like the normal portion in the other branches. Me and my friends won’t be using this branch again!

The food is delicious, the friendly service is top tier, the prices are good, great selection of food, I'm now a regular.

The food is good but portion was small. The tubs were not filled as they normally are at other Kokoro branches. Also was charged 50p extra for the sauce for my Katsu Curry which hasn’t happened at other branches!

Good hot food at reasonable prices. I recommend the standard portion as the large isn't much bigger for the price. Good Sushi selection in the fridge with seating available inside.

Kokoro is a superb addition to the food offerings in Caterham. It has a great variety of asian staples like Chinese sweet and sour, Japanese curry/teriyaki, and Korean bulgogi. The sushi here is delicious and the only place nearby where it's available. By the way, don't overlook the bulgogi. It's not as eye catching as some of the other dishes but it's packed full of great flavours. If you're ordering the spicy tofu, just know that the spice level is no joke! Been here three times and the customer service has been stellar during every visit. Look forward to visiting again soon.

Really impressed with this place. Food delicious to the point they thought the chicken was a little dry looking so rather than give us sub par food prepared a whole new batch. Excellent service from the gent that served us too. Will come back again. Gosh, not used to that level of service in recent times.

Awesome is the word, clean. Just smashed the best chicken Teriyaki with noodles and got a drink for less than 10£. See you tomorrow on my lunch break again. The Katsu gonna be getting the treatment. Finally a place that doesn’t hold back on the portions aswell!

Delicious huge tub of tofu Katsu curry, perfectly cooked rice and crispy tofu in a tasty katsu sauce. Fantastic value, quick friendly service and lots of choice for meat and non-meat eaters. This place deserves to do well, fab new edition to shopping centre.

This restaurant opened today .Food was delicious. So glad we have a decent restaurant in Caterham. Will be eating here often
