Kokoro in Tunbridge Wells

Absolutely delicious. A have been here a few times and every single time has been fantastic. A big well done.

Absolutely miserable attitude from the owner or whoever that woman is. I don't even care about the food, I lost appetite.

I should've gone to KFC. Why? Because what you get in KFC is consistent. This Kokoro is very stingy with toppings, and the food is a bit stale. I have been to many Kokoro branches, and the difference between how much topping they give you compared to others is huge. When you order a large, you don't seem to get any more topping, just more noodles. The problem with places like this and Chopstix is that you are at the mercy of the staff as there are not measured amounts they give. Maidstone Kokoro are reasonable and fair, whereas here you are paying £10 for microwaved noodles, with a few bits of chicken on top. To argue that they are just toppings doesn't add up as the other branches give a fair amount. I asked for the two toppings version and chose the Korean chicken. There wasn't much left so he scraped out the last of that but that was it. I then asked for Teriyaki as second but I noticed he only picked out a few bits when I started to eat it. In terms of the food, it was dry and bland. I appreciate it was half an hour before closing time but that doesn't mean I should get stale food. If the good deteriorates and they don't bin it, they shouldn't charge full price for it. They're just being tight. Overall, very poor. I won't be going back which is a shame as both myself and my Son love the sweet chilli chicken and would now have the opportunity to visit this one regularly. If you want a good kokoro, go to Brighton or Maidstone. Sevenoaks was poor. Otherwise, go to KFC. Or Five Guys.

Lovely selection of Asian hot and cold dishes. Aloe drinks a particular favourite of mine always in stock. Excellent mix of student/experienced staff, always with a smile!

Absolutely terrible, ordered delivery and specifically phoned to ask for chopsticks and cutlery as we were in a field, a Kokoro picnic. purposefully no cutlery or sticks at all, now stuck eating with fingers, excuse was “well I told my colleague” …. Fail !

The chicken katsu udon heals the soul . Definitely coming back .

Had a takeaway of "sweet and sour chicken". Which was some grey, inedible chicken in a weird jelly not remotely recognisable as sweet & sour. Looked and tasted like something very old which had been seriously dried out during re-heating

The sushi obviously isn't the best ever like you would find in a restaurant but considering the price, speed you get your food and pay, and the service it's really good overall. I was struggling to open my packaging and the lady saw me and immediately came and helped me. Really nice place, I recommend

This is very good for sushi or Asian food. They serve both hot or take away. My favorite is sushi roll. Recommended.

Spicy chicken curry is like eating a well seasoned bowl of fire. I should have clocked that the guy serving was giving me a wry smile that my intestines were in for a tumultuous 24 hours. Worth it though, banging. Edited for poor service. Lady misheard me and blamed me for making a second dish.

Although the service was speedy, I really wouldn’t get sushi from here again. I had salmon but it had a ridiculously fishy smell. For just shy of £8 I wouldn’t recommend the sushi here to anyone. On the plus side the hot food looked pretty good as well as the shop in general however with the poor quality of the food I received I doubt I’ll be returning.

Nice Korean/ Japanese restaurant chain eatery that's recently opened in the town centre to grab a quick and filling bite to eat... There was a bit of a wait on the food as they were replenishing the menu so when it arrived it was freshly cooked and not sitting out for a while... Dishes on offer range from katsu curries, beef bulgogi, and salmon teriyaki served from the counter and sushi /sashimi sets from the fridge... Had the veggie katsu curry with rice together with some vegetarian spring rolls and it was what I wanted for a convenient hassle free / no fuss lunch...

The food always looks as advertised, very tasty, always fresh and the manager is such a lovely lady who sorts any issues out quickly and with true care but unfortunately I guess maybe due to the cost of living but the chicken is very gristly and tough now, not like used to be, it feels like a prep issue i.e fatty skin and gristle isn't being trimmed off properly anymore.

Brought some sweet & sour and noodle on my way home today Didn’t expect them to reheat the noodles which were horrible and the chicken was horrible too tasted like a microwave meal won’t be going back

It's the best. They cook rice perfectly, and their customer service is second-to-none, which is why the queues at lunchtime are always there... I love the Inari pockets and the vegetarian Californian role...

Great food here at Kokoro. Had the teriyaki chicken with noodles and it was delicious. Noodles were slightly dry due to being warmed up in the microwave which was a slight let down but the rest was great. .

We just ordered a take away half rhe order missing ! We rung asking for a new order but they would not do that and they would only send us the food that was missing??? So as a family spending a fortune we are expected to eat cold food?then told to get a refund on the food that was missing!!! Come on where is the customer service don't we matter anymore absolutely terrible!!! Never again .

One of the older workers was so rude to me for no reason. I think she’s the owner of the shop. She followed me out the shop whilst shouting at me and wouldn’t leave me alone. I had to call the police. Her customer service is disgusting and she is bringing the reputation and atmosphere of the shop down. She also caused issues with one of my previous orders. I have never had any issues in that shop before she started working there.

I bought food for £8.50 but received a few pieces of food which is not enough for 1 person. Very disappointed with the behavior of the owner.

Fantastic food. Loved the prawn sushi and salmon teriyaki bowl. Large bowl a generous portion.

Really awful. Tasteless sushi and gyoza. Pork with noodles and sweet chilli chicken so horrible couldn't eat it. The pork was covered in a strangle claggy coating. Coat £50 and binned it after trying.

Great food for the price, a fair choice of food options/combinations and lovely service. The place also offers a sit-in option, however, there are only like maybe 2 or 3 tables. The place is also quite small and the always-open door kinda exposes you to the weather outside.

Fresh and delicious food. Consistency is the key and they have it! I've tried all their sushi set selections, absolutely fresh and tasty. My favourite hot dish is chicken katsu with curry sauce over rice. If you ask the chicken katsu in a separate bag they stay crispy till you get home. The portion size are very generous! They also have option for vegetarian and pescatarian. Staff are uber friendly.

Popped in for a quick, light, lunch whilst shopping in town. Tasty freshly cooked food and a can of cold drink for under £10. What’s not to like? Will certainly be back

Great for take out, the portion sizes alone were phenomenal! We initially thought it was a little pricey but you get what you pay for with quality and quantity. The lady who served us was really pleasant too. Only down fall is it's not really somewhere to sit down and eat as there is very little seating.

I've been several times to Kokoro and each time it's been delicious. Sushi was freshly made the same mornings too! Staff are lovely and the shop it immaculate.

Lovely little place. The sushi was fresh and tasty. I had some spring rolls on the side which were very tasty and not too oily. Staff were happy and friendly. Will definitely go again.

I have yet to try any sushi from here but the hot meals they do are so so tasty! And very flavoursome! If you can sit in do so it’s better. Service is always good and never waiting too long which is great if you’re super hungry or in a rush! Definitely recommend if you’re into South Korean/Japanese food! And great value for what you get!

If I could give 0 star, I would!! I’ve never ordered food before and not been able to eat it. Ordered sweet n sour chicken with noodles and it was not edible. The chicken was the worst part, it was like mushed up chicken jelly, I’m sure there was probably 1% of decent chicken in the whole thing. It also tasted very very odd. The sauce was bland and the noddles were dry. I am not a fussy eater at all but this place was vile. I cannot warn you away from this place enough, don’t be fooled by it being a ‘chain’. It’s overpriced soggy chicken brain with dry noodles.

Fresh and really tasty food at this branch. I am not usually one for going into franchised chains for takeout food, but I can't help myself when it comes to Kokoro! Had the Pumpkin Curry and avocado sushi, which tasted amazing. Can never go wrong with this place, highly recommend.

Unfortunately Kokoro’s meat is Halal and there are no humane slaughter alternatives.

Excellent! Stopped in for lunch and have the Chicken Katsu with Rice and was absolutely delicious and very reasonably priced.

Popped in spur of the moment. Sushi was good and the salmon teriyaki had a huge pieces of fish and the portion was very generous. Was nice to see the lady running the place training staff on temperature checks very reassuring. Good experience will come back.

The food that I have tried has been fantastic. The chilli chicken and sweet and sour chicken are both amazing as well as the sushi platters. The restaurant is spotlessly clean and the staff and mananagement team are very nice and polite. Really worth a visit.

Wow wow what can I say I travel to blue water and lakeside for food like this, but now I dont need to enjoyed every minute. Friendly staff big portion and overall amazing get in there

Extremely high quality, fresh sushi for a reasonable price! Aswell as brilliant hot food, the beef bulgogi is a favourite of mine, well worth a try.

Nice food However one staff was so rude. I just asked simple question she just said get out. Never going there again.

Lost points for me because of one particularly bossy member of staff. Their colleagues seem afraid of them and they spoke to me a bit like a drill sergeant. But the sushi is nice and reasonably priced.

Brand new place in RTW, which opened today, great taste and value for money, really generous portions too. I had Chicken Katsu and Shrimp Gyoza with a side of seaweed, excellent. Really friendly staff too.

Finally our favourite Sushi place is in Tunbridge wells! Great cold and hot options, never disappoints.
