Knowledge Restaurant in Sunderland

Fuimos el viernes 28 de marzo para una jubilación de amigos, éramos 30, tuvimos que pedir nuestra comida como pueden entender para una fiesta tan grande. Una vez que estábamos todos sentados ahogados solo tuvimos que esperar unos minutos hasta que llegaron nuestros entrantes, entonces había suficiente descanso para nuestras comidas principales, la comida es absolutamente deliciosa toda nuestra fiesta lo disfrutamos a fondo. El camarero y la camarera estaban a mano si necesitas algo que eran geniales, al igual que el personal del bar Gracias por su conocimiento para una gran noche. Volveremos 😁

Decepcionante. No es muy acogedor desde el exterior con la parte delantera del pub antiguo. Traté de hacerlo acogedor en el interior, pero todavía no hay ambiente. Excelentes vistas sobre el río pero la comida mediocre. No estoy seguro de que era Aberdeen Angus carne de vacuno que se indica en el menú. Tuve la osadía de cobrar £ 1. 50 por una gota de mayonesa. Los inodoros son una vergüenza - viejos inodoros de pub permanecen que necesitan una mejora importante. No volverá.

Un lugar precioso con vistas al río con una hermosa decoración. Fui con mi mamá, los dos disfrutamos de nuestra comida, postre y copa de vino. El escritor era muy amable y hablador. ¡Volveremos!

Qué joyita de restaurante. Auténtica comida italiana y un personal excelente y amable. Situado junto al río con preciosas vistas, de día o de noche. La comida es deliciosa y abundante con una buena selección de bebidas, muy recomendable y sin duda volveremos.

Knowledge es uno de los mejores restaurantes de Sunderland. La variedad de platos italianos es excepcional junto con los cócteles allí. Y si te gustan tus asados dominicales no encontrarás un lugar mejor. El personal es tan amable y acogedor lugar increíble

Visitado varias veces y la comida siempre es excelente. Estábamos en Nochevieja y había un gran ambiente. Todo el personal se inclinará hacia atrás para ayudarle y son muy atentos. Tuvimos un gran servicio de la camarera específicamente y disfrutamos mucho de nuestra noche.

Excepcional almuerzo dominical a un precio muy asequible. No podía faltar la comida y se obtiene mucha carne, en comparación con otros lugares. Sin embargo, el servicio era deficiente. La camarera rubia parecía de mal humor, apenas se comunicó con nosotros toda la comida, no fue atenta y tardó demasiado en traer la cuenta (preguntamos 3 veces antes de que finalmente llegara). Nos levantamos para pagar la cuenta en el bar, porque habíamos esperado mucho tiempo a que llegara. Pagamos la mitad en efectivo, y queríamos pagar el resto con tarjeta. Esta misma camarera me entregó la máquina de tarjetas con un extra de £ 5 añadido a lo que quedaba por pagar. Lo impugné, pero ella fue firme en que la cantidad a pagar era correcta (cuando no lo era). No estoy seguro de si volvería ahora, lo cual es una verdadera pena porque los chefs tienen esa cena de domingo clavada. Pero el restaurante realmente necesita mejorar su juego en términos de su servicio y hospitalidad.

En una escapada a la ciudad y comer en este restaurante como se alojó en el hotel contiguo, toda la comida que comimos aquí era increíble. Comida italiana seguida de domingo Almuerzo y cena pre-teatro de pollo pimiento rojo y gorgonzola con brócoli - comidas muy sabrosas - muy buenos precios para el tamaño de la porción, gran cóctel servido también, encantador restaurante decorado con algunas vistas sobre el río y también el personal era muy amable y atento - recomendaría - gracias

En primer lugar, cócteles "crecidos" absolutamente de primera clase. La cena fue excelente. El servicio era atento y nunca nos sentimos apresurados, pero siempre estaban allí para pedir otra copa de vino, etc. Definitivamente volveremos

El personal de Knowledge es apasionado por su comida, y con razón. Hicimos una pequeña celebración allí y el buffet era increíble, abundante y todo recién cocinado! Lo expusieron maravillosamente en un rincón acogedor, que pudimos decorar con recuerdos personales. El personal es agradable, acogedor y atento. Fueron fundamentales para hacer de la tarde un asunto relajado y alegre

La comida era fantástica, Pedí las papas fritas deliciosas para un entrante y vaya que podría haber sido mi plato principal ya que la porción era grande. Las papas frescas y sabrosas. El plato fuerte era la hamburguesa de francotirador, muy llena y fresca. Personal estupendo muy atento

La noche comenzó con el barman derramando una botella de Prosecco por todas mis zapatillas, lo que no pareció desconcertarlo, ya que no recibí disculpas e incluso tuve que pedir un rollo azul para secarlas y el piso! Generalmente la comida era buena, pero la razón por la que estoy dando una crítica tan baja es debido a lo que pasó al final de la noche cuando fui al baño. El caballero está enfrente de la cocina, entré al mismo tiempo que un trabajador de la cocina, tenía guantes de preparación de alimentos y procedió a dejarlos puestos mientras iba al baño. Me dejó sintiéndome enfermo y definitivamente no volvería, ya que claramente no tienen ningún estándar de higiene alimentaria, ¡sucio!

Couldn’t fault the food. Really good pizza and tiramisu. Great range of dishes on offer with specials offered as well as the set menu. Will definitely be back!

Was expecting great things from reviews. Lovely views and relaxing live music was nice, food however was disappointing. Not a lot of choice for an Italian menu. Bruschetta was very chewy and pizza very salty. We went back following week just to see if it was a one off as we did enjoy ambience. My seafood pasta has a few prawns and mussels in it, very tasteless. Pasta was inedible. Sorry but won't be going back.

Visiting my neice at Sunderland university for her birthday weekend, so glad we found this place, it felt special, the meals are not standard, everything is quality, looks amazing and tastes delicious, the prices are reasonable, the service is spot on and the decor is lovely and all in a really lovely setting by the river, I cant wait to go back and work my way through the menu, even the coffees were amazing. A must try for all, makes for a special night out, if your not a fan of pasta they have so many other options including burgers and pizza, pulled pork topped fries, something for everyone, I can recommend the arriabata pasta and tomatoe garlic bread, so tasty, Treat yourself. ❤️

We’ve had a fantastic night out with all the family. The food and service were just AMAZING and they even have a fantastic cocktail bar where all is made with passion. Thanks to all staff of knowledge restaurant. See you again.

Great wine pairing evening with friends . Such value for money as a Sommelier give you a great on-site into the wine .. 10 of us absolutely loved the food,so delicious! Great atmosphere the staff are so friendly and warm.. our second visit and already booked for October

The meal was great. Friendly reception. Lovely waitress recommending outstanding food. Actually the waitress was so welcoming and lovely, she deserves a star. Deep calamari special for starters: super fresh and a light perfectly seasoned batter. Delicious. Mains: Seaclam trofie pasta in a lovely buttery, herby and perfect balanced garlic sauce. Yum. Cappriciosa pizza. It was square? and delicious. Crispy light dough. Perfect. Ingredients on top of superb quality and really fresh. Suprisingly light. I wonder how they do it as the topping was mega fresh and not overcooked, when the dough was just right. GO! The place is not pretentious even though my partner reading out this review to me is putting on a pretentious voice. I was just very happy with the meal.

What a great find in Sunderland. Proper Italian food, fresh and hot. No dry pasta here, made fresh! Service was a little lacking in attention but the food made up for it. Stayed on for after dinner drink in bar and was blown away by the mixologists passion and knowedge. Rum served with dried fruit and chocolate, worth every penny.

This is an absolute find in Sunderland. Our favourite restaurant, menu is fantastic, service outstanding. They are just consistent, everytime we go we have a wonderful experience. Highly recommend and they do sublime cocktails

Belle adresse pour un vrai restaurant italien à Sunderland. Carte variée, beaucoup de produits italiens: bières, vins, pâtes, ... Service et personnel accueillants. Très bon rapport qualité / prix. A recommander.

So much potential, the views are beautiful. We wanted to try somewhere we haven't been before. Service was amazing, staff lovely and obviously views gorgeous. What completely ruined it was if you sat outside to eat, you were sitting eating your meal amongst the smokers. Also groups drinking shots, smoking and swearing isn't really the backdrop I want in a restaurant when I'm eating on a date night. I've tried it but won't be back

We visited on Monday 17th, a party of 6 at 6:30pm. We loved it, really impressed. The menu is not your ordinary UK Italian offering, it's really extensive with so many interesting and varied options to select from. All 6 of us had a starter and main, which we loved and then 3 desserts which were lovely too. We eat out quite a lot and we all said after our starters that we'd definitely be back again. Couldn't find fault at all, it was spot on.

We have had a wonderful meal and the staff were kind and very clean 10 out of 10. The staff were very attentive and would definitely recommend.

Came here for the first time and luckily it was their one year anniversary. The menu is not your usual Italian fayre, it’s varied, and there’s a lot to choose from. The food we ordered was beautifully presented, and so tasty. Staff were attentive and knowledgeable. There was a band playing which was great to listen to. There’s an area outside with a fire pit and swings an an amazing view over the river wear.

Well off the beaten track and if you aren't from the city you would miss it completely. Great atmosphere inside with great views across the Wear.
