So I don’t actually know what to say normally I have something nice to say but this time I done so it took to long for this issue to be sorted … so it was burnt and the buy one get one free thing is a lie from what I can tell as they did not sent both ( hence the reason I got it for the b1g1f ) and the one I did actually get was quite burnt and kinda old so I don’t know what else to say ( without being quite mean ) sorry ( thing I wasn’t to complain about is not in there so ime put others sooooooo

Not good the fish was definitely not fresh it looked like it had been microwaved and then put in some sort of batter the chips look like they were frozen and then just put in a bit hot oil it was disgusting the man behind the counter looked like he could do with a wash as well. Safe to say we'll not be going back here again It cost me £8 the only thing that look nice was the box it came in, it was so disgusting that I threw it out for the seagulls at least they had a good meal that night.

The place is very clean you can eat your food off the floor where it's right clean I enjoyed it very much be going very regularly prices very good best to look to them

My missing order issue got dealt with via uber eats and got a refund for my order. Problem solved

I had large cod and chips although it looked lovely the fish was disappointing and the chips were as though they had been keeping warm for ages not even the curry sauce could revive them

Not good the fish was not cod had a really strong flavour definitely another type of fish and the chips you could really taste the oil such a shame will not be going back.

Small portions, over priced. Asked for a regular chips, scampi and cod. Got a single layer of chips in a box with the cod on top and a tiny bag of reconstituted scampy shapes for £15. The cod was good though.

The place is good for Muslims and other people since the place itself is halal amazingly they opened a fish shop that was halal to food is like any average fish and chips shop 😋 they have other things such as burgers and pizza but I ain't never tried those before. The only reason why I will go here is because it's halal and it's fish and chips

Food quality poor and often items left out only the denied by the owner and attitude is quite rude and definitely need ti improve their communication skills!! Won't be going there again!!

Most reliable & consistent chip shop in knowle,very friendly, good value. Had a pizza & it was excellent especially for the price.

Worst fish and chips we have ever had. Chewy fish, curry sauce was horrible and they got my order wrong. Asked for a large chips and was given a tiny portion. Chips weren’t nice anyway…won’t be returning.

Very nice piece of haddock and plenty of chips.

We ordered fish and chips, steak pie and 2 mixed kebabs. All food was delivered hot and with all requirements. Great well cooked tasty food. We will be ordering again very soon!

Always pop in for chips when I'm visiting Bristol, large portions and good food.

Just ordered chicken and chips! Got home and chicken was raw in the middle! Took it back for a refund and guy gave the refund with a smirk on his face! Avoid like the plague

People don't listen as they have headphones on...wrong order completely and not a warming welcome at all...will never go back again.

HI, PLEASE STOP COMPLAINING THAT THA PRICE'S HAVE GONE UP. THIS IS THE BEST FISH AND CHIPS IN BRISTOL EVERY IS GOING UP,MY PAINT USED TO BE 2.80, IT IS NOW 3.20 BUT WELL WOTH IT. IF YOU DON'T LIKE IS, GO SOMEWHERE ELSE AND GET BOG STANDARD FOOD. THIS SHOP IS THE BEST. HELEN KNAPP

Only 3 stars I'm afraid as it took so long for my very simple order to served and the food was average. It's such a shame but it seems this is yet a business that is seeing to its Deliveroo & JustEat orders over It's 'live' customers. A 25 minute wait when there are only 3 customers in the shop is ridiculous. Unfortunately even though I'd like to support this local business this is the second time this has happen so I wont be using them again in a hurry.

As soon as i stepped foot in knowle fishy i knew my life had changed for the better every time time i close my eyes all i see is my battered sausage thankyou ferararri for changing my life i will never forget you needs a raise this man is god with an apron and a skin fade i cannot recommend enough if you go here you may may not be able to leave please ferararri please come home with me

The food under the new owners is getting better and better, cod and chips tonight was the best we've had from there since they took over.

The new owners have done a terrific job with this place. The menu is diverse and they do great fish and chips.

I took out my previous review as the establishment has changed hands and it's now known as the 'Knowle Fish Bar'. Updated the shop front photo, the blue facing shop banner succumbed to the high winds. More variety in the menu though I'll stick to either Plaice or Scampi, small chips and Mushy Peas . Pleasant and helpful staff. Highly recommended, without a doubt!

Passing through Bristol (from Birmingham) saw the HALAL logo and thought we will give it a try. Got the fish and chips and chicken parmasan. Fish and chips was great and the chicken parmasan was ok because I never had parmasan before. Garlic Mayo with the food was nice, chilli sauce is not spicy enough for an Asian palate. After all good food with reasonable price and friendly service. Will go there again if passing.

Great fish and chips shop for the locals the food is great and cheap will definitely come again.

Not been here for years and it’s since been taken over. Was not disappointed. Had the pizza and chips. Not often you get a chippy in England that also has pizza. Now if they could only deep fry the pizza like they do in Scotland…haha. Either way, we liked the food and will be back.

Recently under new ownership and soooo improved. At last Knowle has a decent chippy with a proper menu, and we don't have to walk down to Farrows everytime.

The food I had from here was not too bad from here as was a lot cheaper then the other chip shops in the area, will buy from here again

Brought large fish & chips only to have to throw it all away. The fish was rotten and had yellow slime within its texture absoloutely disgusting! Will not being going there ever again! The colored man that served it had a look about him also there is somthing more then meets the eye about the hole situation

I have only lived in the area for two years and have tried many chip shops then tried Mr Chrispins. Mr Chrispins are second to none, we always go on the weekends for a treat for the children the kids Meals are a perfect portion and you can't beat the price. The quality of the food is exactly what you would hope for and the staff are so friendly. I always look forward to going up to have a chat while waiting. Thank you guys as always and see you next weekend.

This is such a cool chip shop. I don't get the neg reviews at all. I've only ever been treated with respect. You do have to wait, but this because they make fresh chips for everyone. I love the chips as well and you sure do get a lot. And I mean a lot. Great place do use it or, ya know the rest.

Absolutely DISGUSTING behaviour shown by the manager! She was very rude and aggressive to the customer, shouting and swearing!! Both the manger and her worker had no customer service knowledge and clearly don't want the place to keep running as their attitude stank and the way they treat people was just a joke. Never in my life have I been treated in this way. Would never again visit this nightmare of a place! 0 star rating!!!

Definitely wouldn't go back. Lady server wasn't keen on cooking 4 sausages at 8pm on a friday, so we just had 2 bags of cold, soggy chips that were probably left over from lunch time. See photo

Nice fish and chips located on the Wells Roa, Knowle, Bristol. Spic and span, tidy, friendly staff and not too pricey. You can pre-order over the phone to collect upon arrival and skip if there is any queue. A plethora of options to choose from. Gluten-free, kids deals and combo deals. Outside seating, recommended on a sunny day. Definitely recommended to pay a visit and you'll not be disappointed.

Last twice we've had chips from here theyve been gritty like they've got sand on them!

Nice people but they had ran out of small cod so we had to go large. The batter on the sausages was not cooked at all and was stuck to the paper. The chips were dry too! Sorry, won’t be coming again.
