Delicious pizza, staff happily will adjust pizza for personal preference.

My mum is gluten free so we went here for pizza as they say they cater to people who are gluten intolerant however when my mum asked for what she could have they asked her what pizza she may want then came back and only gave her one pizza that had toppings that would be ok for her to have also it is a premade base that they use for the gluten free pizza. Also they treated my mum like she was being alot of hassle asking about the gluten free options if you say you help with dietary requirements please don't make people feel like they are too much effort when they ask questions about it.

Second time we've visited since So Dough took over and have loved it both times. Generous toppings with outstanding bases! Highly recommend

So happy to finally have a good pizzeria in Halifax! The tomato sauce is flavoursome, the toppings are thoughtful and the cornicione is soft and puffy. It's a shame the reviews for the previous place have carried over, don't be put off by them! My only friendly suggestion is to change the music. Everything else is high quality; why cheapen the experience with pop music? There's the obvious route of Italian music (especially Napoletan) or, if you want to be more modern, something like neo-soul would work nicely.

Great pizza, salads and olives. Enjoyed a delicious meal, highlight being the pollo inferno pizza and wouldn’t hesitate to visit if in Halifax again.

I recently visit kneed for a birthday celebration. I did add this to our reservation. I was a little disappointed by the lack of friendliness from the staff. The pizza I chose claimed to have pork cracking which just turned out to be stale pork scratchings. That being said the rest of the pizzas looked ok, just a little burnt. We then moved into the bar area downstairs to continue having drinks as it was a celebration. The staff seemed to be annoyed we had done that and we were met with allot of irritated stares and just an overall sense that they didn’t want us there. Disappointed

Lovely pizzas and cocktails! The spiced pina colada cocktail is really nice, the arancini is tasty and the pizza's really good. The only thing that would have made it even better is if the service was a little friendlier and more attentive.

Delivery take stated was 25-35 minutes, arrived after 1 hour 40, cold and very wet and sloppy

I went to collect my order at the time I was given, my order wasn't ready and they didn't Evan know about it. I was told it will be 5 minutes. I watched them cooking my pizza take it out the oven put it in the pizza box and just leave it on the side, ten minutes had gone by so I said what's going on with my food the lady said it's just getting ready Evan though I could see it just sat there going cold..

Took 85 minutes from order to delivery and it arrived cold. It said 35-50 minutes on the app and then kept adding time so technically on time.

Poor experience. Inexperienced waiting staff. Inattentive and over busy and blamed on customers. Poor service, asked to wait five minutes for drinks as he had a large order, told waitress we arrived then got a telephone call whilst in bar area to check where we were. Told reduced table time for being late. No apology, half drinks for table late and excuse because that being done at another bar. Full blame culture, never any apology or customer being right and inexperienced and untrained staff. Poor considering price.

Intimate venue with amazing food and great staff

One of the best pizza’s I’ve ever had! The staff could not have been more helpful offering help with the pram and fetching a high chair for our 1 year old. Lovely chilled atmosphere on a lunchtime. We would absolutely go back.

Don’t usually review, I don’t know if a system, driver or restaurants fault but the order took over 2 hours from being placed. Completely cold when it arrived. If it was hot I wouldn’t have minded as much. Don’t accept if no capacity.

Great staff and amazing authentic food worth a try

Absolutely knocking it out of the park tonight with our pizzas - generously loaded toppings on the Calbrese and De Niro, making the very best pizzas. The gf base was sooo good and after trying another gf pizza base recently, you really should go into mass production selling the bases, they are the best gluten free pizza bases, so authentic!

Overall disappointing. Arrived cold and undercooked, had to completely reheat. Pizza’s size far too small for the price tag. Nice ingredients used but overall not worth the money spent.

The most amazing gluten free Calbrese and De Nero pizza - totally unbeatable in authentic Italian taste. Took a while to arrive and was completely clap cold on arrival (heats up in oven well thankfully) but considering the weather, I’m just grateful it arrived. Thank you.

Ordered £82 of food for delivery, after an hour, I eventually had to pick it up myself. Flat cold. Refuse to refund. Disgusting attitude by the manager on the phone. Even after telling them we eat there quite a bit in the restaurant. They did not care. Don’t waste your time or money.

Nice little place with a bar downstairs. Selling mainly pizza's, which looked really nice, I can't comment on their taste as we didn't eat, just had drinks.

A seemingly straightforward booking. Table for 3, downstairs booth request for 5pm. Before responding, I do invite the proprietor of the business to view any cctv which focus on the entrance/reception area. Even without sound, you will see what is going on. The booth was requested on the online booking form for two reasons. One guest has only 50% hearing and downstairs is I understand less busy/noisy than upstairs. The other, a child who wanted to bring Christmas colouring activities to do. Some space to spread out a little would be valuable. Upon entering, the staff member's eyes remained focused on a computer screen. A passive acknowledgement of 'You alright there?' was met with me confirming our booking. As he walked towards the upstairs/main area of the restaurant I politely mentioned we had requested a booth downstairs (of which several were available). He responded 'We're wanting to fill up the restaurant first'. Perhaps so. The request though was made on the booking form, seems rather reasonable, booths were available, BUT, the staff member wasn't having it. Whether his position be to make service easier to manage - even though booths are still pretty near to reception, or to fill upstairs to capacity to show passers by just how busy the restaurant was I don't know. Note: On the three previous occasions I have been a guest previously with children in the party, being accommodated downstairs in booths was straightforward. I mentioned to the staff member that a booth would be appreciated as requested and several were available. He wasn't moving from his position. I then stated that we would go somewhere else. And we did. We went to 2Amici at Holywell Green. No booking. Actually no room to fit us in. But they did. Great service and food. Two things for Knead to note. 1. When a reasonable request is made on your company's booking system, and the request can be accommodated. Accommodate it. 2. When you feel it necessary and/or appropriate to demonstrate disapproval about a customer, (well, I'm definitely not going to be a customer), it is best to wait until they can't see you. As I mentioned earlier, watch any cctv that covers the reception area for the facts. Hospitality? Definitely not.

Food is amazing and came on on time - got the wrong sauce but the food made up for it.

The pizzas were lovely however all arrived stone cold and when they’re quite expensive it’s very disappointing. It also took over an hour to arrive which is understandable on a Friday night.

Very very rude staff so unbelievably awkward said they would charge us £20 to cut my own birthday cake 🤣 wouldn’t let us refill drinks until they was empty and then would take 30 minutes to get another drink bottomless alcohol but we all only got 2 drinks due to the wait time honestly terrible couldnt put in words how terrible this place is !!!avoid!!! The staff are disrespectful and disgusting towards customers and just plain rude I couldn’t honestly believe how we was spoken too we payed over £300 and just wanted to have a nice relaxing time and the time was completely ruined by a bad atmosphere and horrible staff!!!

Disappointing - when we eat in it’s lovely, however feel there is a massive difference in quality with the takeaway pizza. Hardly any Parma ham on the pizza and was smaller than eating in too. This was the same last time I ordered but I’d hoped it was a one off. It wasn’t so won’t be ordering a takeaway from here again sadly.

Absolutely delicious pizzas with lovely loaded toppings, thank you. But PLEASE label the gluten free pizzas. We ordered 2 pizzas, same topping and it’s only because we are regular customers that we could distinguish between them.

Great pizza! Wasn't cut though but easily fixed.

Pizzas were absolutely to die for… but they arrived cold. They warm easily in the oven so not too big a deal, but as for the chips…. The chip container was filled with a good 60 ml of water. The chips were a soggy pile, all stuck together, and clap cold. No idea what happened there. The tub lid had condensation but how does that amount of water appear? Inedible even when heated.

Absolutely amazing pizzas thank you. They arrived rather cold, but we always have the oven ready for a reheat now.

Knead makes the most incredible pizza, oozing in the very best exceptionally tasty ingredients and tonight’s delivery displayed Knead at its finest! The gluten free bases are freshly made with finest Italian gf flour and they are indistinguishable from regular bases. The fries were hot, crispy and delectable. And the aioli - to die for. None of it is cheap, but you get what you pay for and tonight’s was worth every penny and more. Please keep up this exceptional standard.

Have been to Knead twice in the past and have had a great experience, however trying to order delivery last night was appalling. Placed an order and had to call to modify two of the pizzas (as you are not able to do this on the app); man who spoke to us was extremely rude about making the changes and seemed annoyed that we were asking. 20 minutes later the order was cancelled without a reason given, and it took us an hour to notice since it had been accepted at the time of placing. Feels like they cancelled the order just to be spiteful because we asked for a modification. Will never order delivery from them again and no longer sure we want to patron the restaurant either. Very poor service from a Ricci's establishment.

We love the taste of Knead pizzas, they are unbeaten in flavour - but we are finding them very inconsistent in size and toppings. Today, both the de Nero and Calabrese had barely half the amount of toppings we got last week and they were certainly not worth the price. Bases were small & sparse with largely uncovered areas other than a small amount of cheese & tomato sauce, and the de Nero only had one piece of ham! Also, we get varying types of fries which I find odd. Quality control required?

Very rude man on entry. My husband explained we were meeting friends for drinks before eating at Riccis their sister business next door.The man snapped "downstairs" He could clearly see I was holding my long white cane and didn't for a moment think to ask if it would be easier to sit upstairs where the lighting is better or would the steps, which there are multiple, be a problem. My husband helped me . Wonder if the society for the blind will be treated any better this week when they visit? I won't be going with them as planned. Once bitten. Shame because I've been before , never spoken to like that through! Disability awareness course suggested for this man.

Just had the best pizza in a very long time! We’re quite fussy with pizzas, we usually go to domino’s but fancied a change and it certainly did not disappoint! Totally different to dominos not really fair to compare the 2 as they are different styles. Kneads pizzas are incredibly tasty. The crust was absolutely gorgeous too and I don’t feel so full I can’t move so not too stodgy. Will definately be back for more

We booked a bottomless brunch got there and they refused to do it saying we’re too busy. The waitress said it was possible but the manager wouldn’t allow . Mum’s house up the road rescued the occasion and food and drinks were the same. Poor show !!

Tried to book a table a few hours before but had no response, walked in and wasn't really greeted well, front of house seemed very stressed. They were busy as an event on at the piece hall. We were begrudgingly(?) given a seat at a breakfast bar type table. Our waitress was nice we ordered quickly, the menu has a good selection. Our drinks were brought quickly, the food was good. Great to have anchovies and capers on a pizza, rarely see this outside Italy these days. Meatballs were nice. My only qualm was that for £7 the rocket and parmesan salad was a bowl of rocket with finely grated parmesan that you get on top of pasta? Disappointing. For £7 I would have expected decent shavings, it had balsamic on but it was advertised as having olive oil on on the menu and there was none, not that I could taste anyway. It was worth £3/4 maximum, overpriced. It was literally a bowl of rocket leaves. Other than than quick service, good pizza. Would return in hope that the hospitality is better when they are less busy?

Margherita Pizza Delicious soo tasty and light. Always add Truffle Mayo // Skinny Fries with a pinch of sea salt 🧂. After a beautiful meal a nice sweet dessert to go with it has to be the best dessert Tiramisu. Leaves you feelings happy after a good meal. Definitely worth every penny. I will be ordering again very soon.

So my food was out for delivery and I see that the delivery driver was literally 10 minutes away so I was like why is he making stops along the way. Like his was going up and down the road like his was Seeing over people. Like his was even went back down the hill and stopped for over 5 minutes and I ordered Pizza and chips and my pizza is made freshly and it arrived stone cold and my chips was cold now who wants to pay good money for Cold Food it was very disappointing to see this happen. I’ve ordered from this place before and it’s always taken 5 to 6 minutes to get to my address. This is very disappointing. I’m very upset.

The quality of the food is wonderful. However, we’ve twice had issues with last 2 orders. 2 weeks ago we ordered 2 x portions of fries and received a ridiculous 3 fries in the brown pot. I can only assume the delivery driver dropped them and they all fell out? Then this week, again ordered 2 x portions of fries and received the brown circular carton, merely 1/4 full. I’ve had single portions before and they were either that size or a bit larger, so there’s clearly an issue with fries for some reason

Very tasty pizza, good non-alcholic beers too

After hearing a great deal about this local, Neapolitan,yummy pizza place, I enjoyed coming on a group meal. It is a cozy and quaint place and the staff are happy to help. The good was very nice and the only negative was the multiple levels to the restaurant. Being a wheelchair user this added a level of trickiness. Staff were able to open another door which was lovely, but there was no chance for using the toilet which was downstairs. Cannot complain about the delicious food with options for vegan eaters too. Definitely worth a try!

Food is amazing as always. I called to add extra fries to my order. When I arrived I was passed to jhon. He just thrust the card machine at me then went grabbed my food and handed it over and turned away. Terrible customer service. No hello and no desire to make sure I enjoyed my meal. Disappointing.

We went to Knead pizzeria for a family gathering for my sons 21st birthday. We had the bottomless brunch which was excellent. The pizzas was lovely and there was a good selection of drinks. The service was vey good. Would highly recommend.

I'm a wheelchair user and tried to go to knead today as it was listed as accessible. Was waiting outside for 5 minutes before they told me they do not have a ramp so I was not able to visit. Suggest they buy a ramp - highly disappointed

Fantastic time at Knead, for the bottomless brunch! Definitely worth the money. The staff are extremely helpful and courteous and just all round super stars. Will definitely be returning, with my family for the Pizza as I have to say the pizza’ are amazing! Thanks again team Knead!!

Fabulous pizzas, but all arrived very cold (not even lukewarm) including fries and had to be reheated in oven for ten minutes. Also, aoli pot was barely half filled, which makes the £1.50 rather hard to justify. We do love the pizzas, but more should be done to keep them hot. Also, I think from an allergy info point of view, GF pizzas should be clearly identified and they never are.

Called to complain that the food was late and completely cold. The girl’s attitude on the phone was almost as soggy as the £5 fries. If I could post a picture of the near £10 cheesecake I would. It literally looked half eaten. And the portion size was also a complete joke. Definitely not the place it was when it first opened. They talk the talk on the menu to justify the price but just don’t deliver on quality. Very disappointing waste of money.

Visited with 2 friends. Seated straightaway. Young lad who was our waiter was lovely. Nice & polite & checked on us frequently. Ordered food & it arrived with about 15 minutes. We ordered 2 pizzas which hadn't been cooked properly & had soggy bottoms & crusts. The parmesan & truffle fries which had seen neither when they arrived came in a small bucket. I sent them back & the waitress assured me that 'loads' had been put on. I still couldn't see either so took it back to the chef station. This time when they came back they had more parmesan on but still no truffle. They charged £5 for these which is expensive considering the portion size. Arancini & rocket & parmesan salad were good. Cocktails were so so. Wouldn't hurry to go back & certainly not as good as their sister restaurant.

Not up to the standard it should be, feels like it's down to a lack of training / experience. First visit, there were ingredients missing but we were not informed. The meal arrived and we had to call them back to ask where the missing elements were to then be told 'we are out' and they then walked off. Second visit, went into the bar area, bar was full of dirty glasses and empty bottles. Service was slow and when drinks arrived the presentation was poor. Won't be making a third visit.

The food was brilliant, however the service is shocking. We were sat in a table in the dark right by the toilets, asked to be moved and they sat us else where. However the bar staff were rude and failed to do a simple order within 15 minutes and when we questioned it they stated we only ordered 5 minutes before, extremely rude and unprofessional. Shame as the food was really good.

This is one of, if not the best pizza places I've been to, not just in Halifax but ever. We passed it by chance and it ended up being a hidden gem.

Knead do THE BEST gluten free pizza ever. So impressed by their gf bases and quality ingredients. It all arrived a bit cold so we needed to reheat in the oven unfortunately, but the quality of the food was 10/10. However - **please label the GF pizza**. If we hadn’t of eaten the pizzas from here before and knew what gf base looked like in comparison, we wouldn’t have known which was which.

Delivery guy could not find my address had to go looking for him in the rain” he said he had the right postcode but was no we’re near my address, gave him my postcode again and surprise it sent him to my house,so hence my food was very cold , disappointed

My husband and I visited knead early doors on a Saturday, amazing pizza, ceaser salad and arancini balls. Service friendly and prompt, definitely recommend.

When we first arrived we had a terrible greeting, then the Service at the table wasn't much better. Then the hot drink were not hot ,so we sent it back and saw the waitress making comments

Lovely lively atmosphere, was on a date and it was the perfect place for one. The food was excellent and staff were attentive and well mannered. Just on critical thing was we were steadied next to the toilet!

Lovely selection of pizza and drinks, lovely decor and building, pizza chefs so smiley and welcoming. Great soundtrack. Great "2 for £20" on pizzas Tues-Thurs dinner. Sadly, 2 unfriendly / rude waitresses spoil it a bit. On 2 separate occasions when entering, we were met with a stony faced lady on the till (no idea why!). No warm welcome or smile. V odd. Tonight when I returned my hot drink (it had sat on the side while the waitress showed others to the table etc), it was met with indignance and complaining (quite obviously) to other staff, then returned to me with no word. Just weird and unnecessary. I can get pizza and wine anywhere. Since I'm being a lovely customer, please give lovely service. I've worked in many restaurants so I know how hard it is. If you're tired of it, time to get out of hospitality rather than treat people unfairly. No wonder there was not a single tip in the pot - do better!

There are a number of over hyped, "named" pizzeria's in Leeds that could learn from this place. Great pizza without the pretentiousness or stuck up staff. Been a few times now and the pizza is spot on every time. Love the music too!

Pizzas were not ready on arrival and I had two toddlers waiting in the car.

Have previously had positive experiences but disappointing on this occasion. Pizza was extremely thin in centre to point where it was difficult to cut, wet and sloppy. Ended up having to just pick bits of topping and cheese up in handfuls. Wasn't enjoyable despite the quality of the ingredients.

Delicious pizza and a good size. We loved the coffee and ice cream dessert too. Service spot on and we would definitely return. If you are vegan I would also recommend the Queen Vegan pizza!

Starter was great and hot, pizza was cold and sloppy

My friends and I went for pizza and unfortunately 3 out of the 4 of us were up all night with what we believe to be food poisoning as we had all the symptoms. I called the restaurant to let the manager know for future instances and let her know I didn’t want anything out of it, why would I go back to a restaurant that gave me food poisoning? She was instantly defensive and said it wasn’t from them and we need to check where else we could have got food poisoning from. It would be a huge coincidence if 3 of us all got food poisoning at the same time from different meals and not the one that we all had together. You would think the decent thing to do would be apologies and asked us what we had. But she was very rude and abrasive. Very unfortunate as I like the restaurant chain but won’t be visiting again if this is how they treat paying customers.

Went for pizza here last night, been up all night being sick. Other friends we were at dinner with all experienced the exact same thing. Aka food poisoning... Called up management today to explain what happened, explained that we weren't looking for compensation or anything of the sort (because we won't be back 🤣). The call was just wanted to alert them to double check if something was missed in the quality control process. But was essentially told that there was no way we ALL got it from Knead.

Good Food, Disappointing service- This was our first visit to Knead, upon entry we weren't greeted and waited quite some time to be seated. From there we waited for menus, then had to wait again to order even drinks. When asked if we could order our food the waitress had to run back up and grab her notebook, not before coming back to re-ask what drinks we had asked for. Overall food was good, but service was slow and felt as though we were being ignored. They seemed understaffed and disorganized, with not once checking in asking if we needed more drinks etc.

Bit slow service, but all 7 of us thought the pizzas were the best ever!! Try the 'De Niro' Banging!!

The food does not live up to Riccis place very average pizza

Ordered Pizza on sat Eve, was cold when delivered, tried calling restaurant no answer, contacted just eat same evening, still not had reply 😔

Very nice atmosphere and welcoming staff. Waiters all were attentive. There was an issue with our food but they dealt with the situation perfectly. No need to complain the realised the issue and sorted it and compensated us no questions asked. Food was tasty, would go again and recommend to friends and family.

Absolutely amazing food! Just close your eyes and imagine you're in the south of france. Very tastey vegan options too! Will definitely order again. Very reasonably priced not like your common mainstream takeaways such as D or PH.

We went for pizza with friends last night and really enjoyed it. Friendly and efficient staff, nice food and very reasonable prices. Will definitely be going again. I'm loving the way central Halifax is being renewed.

Had a brilliant time at bottomless brunch, helpful and attentive staff, great drinks and amazing food.

This was our second visit. I think on this occasion we had the worst table in the restaurant, which is situated to the side of the kitchen, cramped up against the wall between the step and a storage unit, with little room to move and with a constant flow of traffic to the side of us and a draft from the door on my back all evening. (I did book only a day or two in advance so I'm guessing this could be the reason why we were allocated this particular table). We were unable to switch tables as we were informed the restaurant was fully booked but there were tables vacant for at least an hour after we arrived. Although the staff were all pleasant and friendly, service was slow and we sat with a drink and a bowl of olives until our pizza's were served 50 mins after we arrived. We had to ask for another round of drinks as no one approached us when our glasses sat empty for some time. I must say our pizzas have been delicious on both occasions, both mine being vegan options, so the food would get at least 4 stars (5 maybe) but everything else spoilt the experience. Having said all of the above it wouldn't put me off going again however it would have to be a completely different experience. UPDATE: 7 months later and our 3rd visit for my partners birthday on Fri 4th Aug. Thought we'd give it another whirl. We were allocated a table in the restaurant but it was cramped so the waitress offered us a booth downstairs in the cocktail lounge and I'm so glad she did. What a difference in atmosphere. So chilled and cozy with decent music. Service was good, and staff were pleasant. Drinks order was taken promptly but took a while to arrive as staff looked rushed off their feet. I had a really sizable bowl of mixed olives and pickles for starters and my partner halloumi fries with chilli sauce-very hot! Two pzzas for our main and some fries, one from the specials board for my partner - tasty enough and a marinara for myself. Crusts as they should be but bottoms soggy not nicely crisp and really, who puts cherry tomatoes on a marinara? It is the oldest, simplest Napolitean pizza there is and it needs to be respected and left as such. I also ordered the home made chilli jam for the crust dip, which was the same sauce that came with the fries, way too hot and certainly not a jam. My partner had the cheesecake for dessert, which he enjoyed. Sadly I didn't have one as there was only ice-cream /sorbet on the menu for the vegan offerings. Knead need to up their game here and also label their vegan drinks menu too. Like I said a mixed bag. It'll probably be another 7 months before we chance another visit. Shame...

The pizzas were excellent (so tasty!), and the staff warm and attentive - recommended, will def be back.

Amazingly delicious pizza in a lovely relaxed venue with very friendly staff. Highly recommended!

Really cool place, dropped in to eat before seeing The War on Drugs in Piece Hall. Service was great, food was great and it was such a nice place we went and had couple of drinks in the bar after.

I really liked this place. It’s a nice space, the staff are friendly and efficient, it’s well price with a good atmosphere and the food is great. We had a meat board and a cheese board between four of us and a pizza each, we over ordered, 3 pizzas between 4 would have been enough! The quality of the meat and cheese boards was very good and the pizzas were as good as any I’ve had in the UK. I’ll be coming back. Highly recommended.
