This is my second time at this cat cafe and we won't be coming back. Maybe it's because they allow a ridiculous amount of people in on a Saturday but the experience left us stressed and feeling sorry for the cats. £8 entry fee for their welfare yet kids were running round chasing them and no one said anything? Please enforce a no children rule. With the price of entry there shouldn't be a need to fill the cafe to the brim with kids to keep it running. We barely saw any cats, they all hid up high and I can't blame them. None of them came to be stroked or could sit quietly because the cafe was absolutely packed. Please allow for those with respect to sit quietly and order more food and drink rather than kicking people out after an hour to just get more money. Don't charge for the welfare of the cats if you're willing to let them be traumatised just to get more entry fees.

Fabulous cat cafe! Gorgeous and very content cats (we particularly loved Muffin and Pretzel). Cool interior with big comfy chairs and sofas for the humans and lots of things for the cats to play on sleep on. Coffee were good and although we didn't eat the food smelt delicious. Really well run. Loads better than the cat cafe we went to in Singapore.

£7 entry fee per adult. £5 per child. I'm conflicted. They help cats, but it is expensive. £12 each for a toastie. It's a bad sandwich. It's really expensive, nearly £50 for an hr, 1 adult 1 child.

Visited and only stayed for half the 1hr slot. It seemed to be full of kids who just followed round any cat they could sticking phones, toys whatever they could in the cats faces, following and chasing them round. Neither parents or staff bothered by this (staff just stayed gathered in the reception area) most of the cats had clearly had enough of it and were avoiding human contact at all cost. Smell from the cat litter tray was also apparent. Been to another cat cafe in Bristol (unassociated with this one completely), which was ran amazing and was a much more controlled environment in regards to kids, for the benefit of the cats etc!

Went to visit the kitty cafe in Nottingham there was 3 children and 3 adults, now the children have autism, asd, adhd. When we arrived we was greeted by staff who informed me that there is a charge £6 for children £8 for adult's as a little treat I thought why not we can get coffees and watch the cats play as we was visiting Nottingham for the weekend and I'm a huge cat lover. Now considering the children where wearing there disability badges, I paid the fee and we was shown to a table, now the children at this point where getting a bit over excited as children with adhd find it hard to process and get over over excited in situations. We felt that we needed to leave as we did not want to over stimulate them with all the excitement. We was no more then 5 minutes after a look around, then we left. When I enquired about getting a refund I was told that I needed to call the admin team. So I emailed them the receipts and pictures of the badges on the 6.10.24,got a response on the 10.10.24 asking how long was we in the cafe, did we get to order food and drinks no we did not. I then get an email to say they will not be refunding me the £42.00...now I read the t and cs on kitty cafe website and there is no mention if children with disabilities go for three, rather then pay £6 per child, incase they are to overwhelmed etc and have to leave. That's the annoying part the t and cs says make sure children are supervised but no mention of children with ASD/ADHD AUTISM can be over stimulating or over excited And no we did not use the facilities or get to order food or drinks.

This place is part of the Kitty cafe chain, but make no mistake that it is still unique in its cast of cats and an adorable bunch of furry friends they are. Located nice and in the center, it was easy to get to, with my booking process taking no longer than 5 minutes online, I went I'm for 11:00 to be greeted by friendly staff and of course some four legged friends. One of the highlights may be seeing the two sister kittens play fighting to disco music, aswell as Rosie (who's birthday it was) helping with important spread sheets by typing on the keyboard ⌨️. This is a lovely Cat cafe and well worth a visit for lunch

Never been in one of these places before but decided to go in and see what it was all about, we were well impressed, surrounded by cats while having lunch, my girlfriend loved it, then there was one cat called popcorn that decided to make itself at home on my girlfriends lap and didn't move for ages, there's also an entrance fee but all proceeds go to the up keep of the cats and are all well looked after by the colleagues/staff that work there, well done to them all

Over priced food. £8 PER PERSON PER HOUR. Cats avoid you or get hogged by other people. Food is cheap and overpriced. Literally paid £5 for a small hot chocolate and £5 for a slice of sickly sweet cake. The tea had half a cup if hot water in! Disgraceful. You get more at Gregg's. Staff are friendly. Toilets are dirty and need attention. Ruined experience by selfish people. Tourism for money. No one cares about the cats.

There seems to have been an incident at the cafe at the beginning of September that has traumatised the cats. We've been to a few cat cafes and this was by far the worst. The cats were either hiding the entire time or completely uninterested in any interaction and walked away as soon as they came near. Some approached when the food arrived but none of them were happy to be interacted with, it was really sad. The staff need to monitor how children are behaving or offer children only time slots so they know when to be extra vigilant. The food was awful. If we hadn't been in a rush and also prepaid for our food then I would have let them know I would only be paying for our drinks. Really terrible quality.

The place was overcrowded. There was nothing but confusion when we arrived, wasn't even clear if anyone was going to pay any attention to us. We were eventually sitted and the sofas were really nice. However, there were so many people, that the cats were tired of the crowed and only trying to escape all the comotion. The milkshakes were watery and sandwiches way too salty. It also smelled of cat piss, but that to expect. My son and hubby enjoyed it, but I wouldn't go there again.

- Order/food was fine, nothing majorly spectacular but servicable. - Overwhelming smell of cat pee upon entry - arguably goes hand in hand with the venue; but Birmingham location does not share this trait. - Majority of cats felt jaded and not a good fit for the kind of environment where continuous interaction is a given - putting welfare first, they really aren't a good fit; again, cannot say the same for the Birmingham location. - Staff; whilst servicable if anything did not seem concerned on multiple instances where the cat's welfare was compromised, both by roudy patrons, but also those outside banging on the windows - not a great look - certainly a way forward here would be to one-way windows - the cats really should be used as advertisements for the venue in a sense. Overall, not a great experience in comparison to other previously locations - probably wouldn't come back.

Me and my partner went. We've never gone before and it was our first time here as we're on holiday. It all started okay, we read the rules, paid the wellness check and got sat-down. Then we ordered food and after we had eaten decided to go for a look around and say hello to all the cats, whilst leaving our things in our chair so we didn't have to worry about the cats trying to get into the bag. We came back about 5 ish minutes later, noticed our full drinks were gone which we kind of just shrugged off, put our coats on and was thinking where to go next. Then we had a staff member come up to us asking us who took us to our table. I couldn't remember if it was the blonde or brown haired lady, but I politely said I think maybe the blonde lady but I'm not 100% sure and then I said oh no it was the brown haired lady and pointed to her. And then she said in a not so nice tone, did you pay for the wellness check and I said yes, the girl with black hair saw us do it as she's the one who checked us in. She then subsequently asked for the booking name which I told her, andcwalked off without saying thank you and gave a very snobby response and went 'mhm'. I was happy to show her the email proving it but before I could she walked away. Then I noticed they were looking on the screen and went OH, when they saw our booking. They didn't even come over to apologise. This ruined me and my partners experience and unfortunately means we won't be coming back. It is very unfortunate that I have to write this review but unfortunately this is what happened and I hope others don't experience this in the future. It made us feel very unwelcome and treated as if we had snuck in. And we went there, the cats seem very distressed with young children running around and hitting them with toys. And the cats seemed scared because there was too many people and they could not go somewhere quiet as they were too many people and children. Overall the staff were rude and the cats seemed terrified. I do not recommend.

Lots of cats just doing their thing though there were some adults and children who didn't respect our space at all as they were trying to get to the cats! Cafe itself is clean, bright and welcoming. My partner and I visited on the 3rd September. We have been once before and it was a really good experience. The cats are so loved and the staff are very sweet. However, on this occasion, the cafe was over run with children. These children were not managed. Three kids at a time were chasing the cats down. They were being hit with blocks, having 3 sticks thrown in their faces and were being harassed in every possible way. It is a credit to the cats that they stayed as calm as they did. Most cats would have bitten or scratched - they just ran away or regressed into themselves. The cats are rescued and surely have trauma. They deserve a lot better. We have contacted management because we are concerned.

Food was okay, service was good. However, it was incredibly busy and crowded when we visited, the cats mostly looked like they'd had enough of being poked and prodded by many children. It felt unethical and not in the benefit of the cats that our £30 "welfare" fee should be paying for. Also, beware that you will only get one hour. TLDR, was quite expensive, and seemed unethical for the cats.

ANIMAL WELFARE NIGHTMARE This should not be a place that welcomes children - saw an unbelievable amount of misbehaving children running, grabbing cats, chasing them behind furniture. If you as a parent cannot stay with your child and make them aware of how to treat a cat, you should be removed. I'm surprised staff weren't telling them off for not following the rules. The £8 welfare fee charge per person seems ridiculous when it turns out that some of the cats have been abused in their past and are now surrounded by loud children grabbing and scaring them. You can visibly see the stress that some of them experience. I was also surprised by the level of grown adults feeding and harassing cats by wiggling toys directly into their heads when they are sleeping and trying to clearly avoid human contact, something that should also be monitored by staff in an environment like this. It seems so backwards that THIS is a 'rehab and rescue' centre when only one of them is up for adoption. I understand some cats have behavioural and health issues but if they do, they should not be in this kind of environment!!! Abused cats should not be placed with children. Easy as. Ironic as well that the two purebred Persians are not available for adoption and when one of them came out, got instantly scared and hid away again whilst the other then hid behind a sofa. The staff were lovely and very helpful however this just does not seem ethical at all and it makes me worry a lot about the cats inside. I may sound uneducated but the rules should be strictly followed and if cats have negatived pasts, why are they placed in an environment like this? I follow many rescues and many cats descriptions require no children and quiet environments. Something here just doesn't add up. I appreciate the honesty from the staff about stuff and I understand as a worker there you can only do so much but something needs to change here. Why have rules if you let people constantly break them? If a cat was to lash back at someones child I bet the parents would try and make out as if their child didn't do anything wrong... Please re assess your rules....

So my son went to the kitty cafe Saturday and we paid £60 for the party package which included a birthday cake which is sold separately at £35. We received a £10 shop-bought flake cake that looked like someone had scraped all the toppings off with a knife. I asked for a box to take the rest home in which I was told they would have to ask the manager. Followed by alot of whispering the lady actually gave me the flake cake box saying "this is one it came out of" Shocking. This is an absolute rip off if I wanted a shop brought cake I could of brought my own. The first picture is the advertised cake. On the day I was told to email their admin team in which she will inform them to expect an email from me. No reply as of yet and no resolution. So I have decided to take further action. Such a disappointing visit. I took my grandchildren as a summer holiday treat. The £20 charge to just enter the cafe should have been advertised as an admission charge not a welfare charge. The cafe was cold and we had to request a change of table. The cats were uninterested ( understandably) unless food was involved. The food was good. The service was good. The toilets were appalling!! They stank of urine and were dirty with a broken soap dispenser. Awful to have to take my grandchildren there. Overall a very expensive experience which I will not repeat.

Something fun, you are held hostage by the cats who have figured out your quite helpless in stopping them from stealing your food. But a unique experience that will leave you smiling.

Good atmosphere. Food was great. Service was incredible, they came with a pay machine to the table so it was very efficient. Car park very close but can be hard to see. Added image at the end to show what it looks like. The only thing was the cat welfare fee. We came as a group of 3 people and surprised to find out it’s £8 PER person. It does say on the website when making the reservation but in the block of text I didn’t read it. There was no issue paying it but it seems quite steep. I would’ve thought it would be £8 per group. If I lived a bit closer I would be put off with the fee unless I went on my own. But since it was a day out it was fine to pay as a one off experience.

What a lovely cafe! The cats are so delightful and staff were very helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. The food was tasty and we thoroughly enjoyed playing with the cats. There are currently 26 cats bit the cafe has capacity for 30. The cats are free to roam and the rules mean they are kept safe and not pestered. There are so many play structures and toys which means they are well catered for. All the cats were friendly and we even got to feed them some treats. Comfy sofas, lovely food and cute cats - what more could you want!?

The desserts were really lovely! Staff very friendly too and all the cats were adorable and fun to play with. The decor looks very cute and bright, very fun for the cats. Only downside is having to listen to younger children constantly chasing after the cats, which run away most of the time, and the parents not doing anything about their children breaking the rules.

Better to book in advance. It’s clean and pleasant with so many kitties. Food and drinks are okay. Great experience.

Was really looking forward to visiting as we were staying in the hotel around the corner from the cafe and passed it while on our way to our hotel. £8 each for adults which I didn't mind, only ordered drinks as we weren't hungry. It was an extremely hot day and it was nice to go into the air conditioned venue but after 5 mins it was just too cold (take a cardigan!) There were plenty of cats/kittens but the majority seemed skittish and didn't seem to like being touched and wanted to hide away.......they seemed to be so "over the attention" from customers!! 🤣 You'd be better off saving your money and just stand outside looking in the windows as that's where the furry friends all tend to flock! Toilets were slightly unpleasant and the smell of urine (not cats!) was a bit strong.

The donation was not optional and was £8 PER PERSON. They shoved us in the corner where there were no cats anywhere even in sight so my table has basically paid 8£ per person to be in the room. the service took over 15 minutes to even come over to us to ask us if we wanted to order anything which by that point I was just ready to leave because the experience was so poor. Overall I was extremely dissatisfied with this place and wouldn’t recommend to anyone other than cat lovers who will chase the cats around the pet them on the floor. Once the service came to us they made us pay BEFORE receiving what we ordered which is extremely bazaar. That’s not something that any place should do, especially a place that has already charged me a “donation” just to enter the place. Highly recommend changing everything about this place. Terrible experience.

I absolutely loved it! When the staff asked "which was my favourite kitten" I answered "oh, most of them. But Lilly was especially nice"

Its a wonderful place for cat lovers with a normal price at 6 to 8 £ to enter you’ll see cats everywhere. There are total of 22 cats the rules are reasonable. Including things like do not disturb the cat who are sleeping and do not pick up cats, ofc there are a few rules. The staff is very wonderful and friendly, helping you when you have problem. They also respect the cats by giving them clean and new toys every few weeks (I think) and lowering the volume of the song to not disturb the cats. It is a beautiful place after all but only bad side is the customers not being careful and some of them not following the rules.

Absolutely loved it, I went with my older brother and we both had a great time. Loads of cats everywhere to see and pet and staff were friendly. Only downsides were there price of the food and drink, and the fact they only took card. Apart from that I would highly recommend going in and paying the fee, as it is well worth it (£8 16+, £6 -16)

I visited the Nottingham branch and I was quite disappointed. Firstly, you are greeted with a fee of £8 to enter! I was never made aware of this fee when I called to book, I accept it is a rescue centre but to be told about this beforehand would have been good! The Kitty Cafe gets away with being a poor-quality cafe due to the cats that reside there (not very many to be honest) and the business would greatly benefit from providing customers with higher quality food and drinks - even just making their own coffees rather than just pressing a button on a machine! Shame, it could have been so much better!

I've dropped this place to 3 stars. It would've been 5 but they have massively limited the poker to only 1 table and I couldn't get on it the entire time we was there I'd have opted for cash but with no limits it's a dangerous game for the infrequent visitor. The drinks were all spot on, the staff were friendly but as I only really play poker I think I'd visit a different casino in future but never say never :) I did dabble abit on the blackjack.

After eating here for many years we were astonished when we went on 23rd November at 5 pm we were told if we had not booked we could not eat as they were doing Christmas parties. There was hardly anyone in and very few tables had reserved on. So we have not been in since. We used to go every other week with my sister and brother in law .

Our afternoon tea was a gift from our daughter. The waitress was lovely and extremely attentive but the afternoon tea itself was very average. A selection of teas but all teabags! Afternoon tea usually consists of a selection of finger sandwiches and then homemade cakes. There were finger sandwiches but the fillings were very bland. There was a minute soggy pastry tart and a soup! The scones were good but very small and these are usually the centre piece of the tea but instead a slate filled with huge cakes was served. The almond tart didn’t taste of almond and the orange muffin was very heavy. Not nice at all. Have had far better.

We had the Famous Filthy Kebab - it was excellent! The vegan slices were really tasty and aioli was scrumptious! Service was great and super friendly.
