Big party of people out for a stag night food very overpriced. Ordered lots of different plates of food nothing to rave about. Drinks were very expensive aswell. One of our party left a small wallet on table when we left. We had a room to ourselves and so one off the staff must have emptied it before he realised 20mins later. First of all they said no he didnt lose it there but it had a tracker on it and beeped. Found in bin minus 200pound cash. So beware people. They spent over 1000 pound in a couple of hours and didnt even get a complimentry shot. Wouldnt go back.

A group party of 12. The food was excellent quality and fairly priced for London. Non pretentious with a lovely ambiance. The staff professional and customer centred. Service timely. We had a fabulous time and were well taken care of.

Had a wonderful evening at Kirin Restaurant to celebrate a friend's birthday. The staff were extremely attentive and made sure that every last detail was attended to, making sure the host and guests had a lovely evening. Food was very good, in particular the dim sum and the crispy duck. The private dining room is a beautiful location and every comfortable.

Excellent food at reasonable price for the City of London. Especially like the fact that they serve Dim Sum in the evenings, not just at lunchtime.

At KIRIN, we 4 people savored delightful duck, dumplings, and beverages in a bustling atmosphere on Thursday, May 11th. Despite the crowd, the staff performed admirably, with our server Rahman standing out. He attended to our needs swiftly, ensuring our order was taken and our food arrived without delay. Rahman's warm and attentive demeanor made our experience even more enjoyable. His expertise in recommending the perfect wine to pair with our meal showcased his dedication to providing an exceptional dining experience.

There were three things I liked: The good service, the excellent food and the restaurant’s design.. I was here with my mum for an after gallery treat and we really enjoyed it.

This restaurant failed to take my food intolerances seriously. I have suffered stonach pain since, currentky 48 hours. My booking a week out mentioned my intolerances very clearly. Once there I was told all their meat was marinated in white pepper which limited things! I was lied to that all Chinese restaurants do this and yet I never have a problem elsewhere. In the end one of the dishes we ordered was lamb otherwise there was very little to eat and it was too cold to go elsewhere. I deserve a full refund at rhe very least!

Early dinner booked. Restaurant was not busy yet staff service was very slow and inattentive. They appeared to be disinterested when taking food order not just our table the same at another. A mini bottle of Prosecco was ordered and was told not available as it was not chilled! Woukd have quite hapoiky waited for it. The waitress tried to sell us white wine and lemonade mix !!!! Food dishes were above your average chinese service well below. Only later discovered that they billed for the Prosecco … check your bills.

The service is terrible. A dish was forgotten from our order, so i told the waitress and she said "You want to order rice" The crispy aromatic duck was fatty. Definitely not work it for the price.

We were staying near Tower bridge and fancied some Japanese cuisine. As we had a reservation at Sky Garden, we wanted somewhere near there and a quick Google search brought up this place. It's a little off the beaten track as it were, but it's well worth seeking out. It was pretty quiet when we went but don't let that put you off. This was a lovely restaurant with great food, attentive service and is good value for central London. We'll definitely consider this place next time we're in London!

Went to Kirin as a birthday party. We had a private Karaoke room . The food was excellent as was the service . We had a set meal which suited the party. The Karaoke machine has the cheesiest vídeos you have ever seen. But great fun

We were here for lunch and the team very kindly accommodated us at very short notice. The decor is nice. The food was good especially the crispy duck. The rest was just ok. The service was excellent. Our little one really enjoyed his Chinese New Year experience. Thank you :)

Food was fantastic thoroughly recommend dim sum, especially Xiao Long Bao and dumpling!! They are juicy inside and tasty. The service won't let me down. They take care of all customer very well. The restaurant decor is fully of Chinese style. It is clean. Can't wait to come for trying much more main dishes next time

Given menus when we arrived,totally ignored and after 20 mins we left. we had booked a week before so couldn't understand why no service. No idea whether the food is good or not!!!

I love to eat seafood, this restaurant have different method to cook the seafood very well. There is a food called "King Prawns with Wasabi” It is not spicy for the wasabi~ YUMMY!!

Before I try the seafood, I just know that seafood only can cook in western way. I am appreciated that Kirins restaurant is creative to cook the seafood so well! I just order the lobster in baked black bean and chilli sauce with my friends. We are both shocked when the lobster come to our table!! It looks delicious, fresh and tasty!! They also have so many types of wines to serve no matter in red win or Chinese spirit. We choose the wine to serve with the seafood, it turned us into the higher level to enjoy the seafood with recommendation wine!!! Recommend to all who come to restaurant!

Had a business lunch here for 5 people. Quite a sterile restaurant with indifferent service. Food wise we went for the £32 set menu and added a few extra dishes. Food was ok but definitely not outstanding. All in all will not bother returning.

I wasn't sure what rating to apply to this restaurant as we didn't order food, but we did guzzle down a Chinese beer. Let me explain, I booked this restaurant for Friday lunch (1;45pm) we sat at our table ordered a beer each and were provided menu's, now here's the thing, we were told we must order before 2:30pm (no problem as it was 1:55pm at this point, BUT we were also advised that the restaurant closed at 3:00pm and by that I mean they lock the doors! Most restaurants would just close the kitchens at 2:30pm (or whatever time) and allow the diners to eat at their leisure, not this place.. So if you have taken the Friday afternoon off work or just wanted a long leisurely lunch then this isn't the place for you.. PS the beer was pretty good!

Ate hear last Saturday night. Surprisingly quiet but then it's hidden away near the City so not much passing tourist trade at the weekend. So glad we found it, was staying nearby with the wife and looking for a special dinner and this place more than lived up to our hopes. Despite the comprehensive menu we lazily ordered the non seafood set meal for two and every bit of it was top notch. Relaxed, friendly service and while not cheap was good value for the high standard. Will be back to try the seafood version soon!

Visited tonight and whilst the food and value is excellent the service was a bit slow. The lamb with cumin and scallops were delicious. Good value. I will go back again

Lovely ambience as soon as you walk in. Food was lovely, especially the stir fried beef and special rice. Only bug bear was the toilets clearly weren’t checked. No toilet roll in any of the three ladies toilets. People were having to use the tissues meant for drying hands on.

Delicious food and the ambiance and service were superb. appetizer was great. Everything was great as well as the service.

Great food and service. Probably the most authentic Chinese restaurant in the city of London away from Leicester Square and China Town in London. Would highly recommend to anyone who would love to have great food in the city area of London.

The food is very good, here authentic Chinese cuisine. However the service is blasé to say the least and very slow. We waited 30 mins for our food to arrive and we got the mains before the starter! On a recent takeaway order the number of dishes we ordered were incorrect. Worth a visit but make sure you leave ample time for the service.

A couple of days ago, me and my friends stomped onto Kirin. The food was delicious and the staff was incredibly attentive and kinda. I’m coming back definitely.

Fancy place , the food was well presented and very tasty. The staff was very kindly and generous and helped as with the menu as they have so many dishes ..we definitely gonna come back . Highly recommended .

Lovely food and atmosphere. We sat in one of the Karaoke room and we could charge our phones and also have a conversation that couldn't be overhead. Particularly good for a company party dinner.

We went for the karaoke (small room) for 6 people. Minimum spending is £300, which you can sing for 4hours and order dishes and drinks from the menu. It works out quite well for us as we had a great time and enjoyed nice food!

We went there for dinner with colleagues from work. All of us liked the food. The menu has lots of choices. Service was perfect. The only drawback is that it is a bit pricey but you get what you pay for.

I booked for a table of 12 people 3 weeks ago and reconfirmed 4 days ago. Get a call 4 hours before the time of arrival to advise that we will have to sit on separate tables or squeeze onto a table that sits only 10 people as they are busy.

Found this place last min, couldn’t believe we hadn’t been before! The staff were very friendly and helpful with ordering food, it arrived quickly and was absolutely delicious. Would strongly recommend, will definitely be visiting again.

Lovely KTV room with modern system and very clean. Chinese male manager and lady boss were very helpful with recommending dishes/helping to take orders in Mandarin as the regular service staff were mostly on holiday and were being replaced by contract staff (which weren't great tbh as he didn't know how to pour prosecco properly).

Visited this restaurant with a colleague and the food was good but the service was chaotic. The staff were friendly and helpful but on arrival despite booking they could not find our reservation, the food and drinks took ages to arrive and on a number of occasions had to be reminded. The menu looked amazing and would have been very interesting with a big party as you could order a number of dishes to share. As a party of two unfortunately you are drawn to the set menus in order to experience a variety of dishes but these were like any other set menu in any other Chinese restaurant in London. However the food was well prepared and cooked.

Fancied Chinese for a catch up with a business friend/associate, and wanted a casual but good restaurant. Chose Kirin based on reviews and was pleased to see plenty of Chinese and Japanese people dining there when I arrived. Tables were a little close to each other and service was just a little slow and ok, but the food was good, and we enjoyed a leisurely 3 course set menu. £86 for 2 of us including 2 bottles of wAter and service, so not cheap.

Eight of us came here for a casual dinner on a Thursday evening.The restaurant is decorated to an extremely high standard and is very nicely presented.The staff were knowledgeable and friendly. Strangely when they took us our coats they warned us to check there are no phones or wallets in them as they sometimes go missing. Read in to that what you will but it was a bit odd.The menu is extensive, presented in a large bound book with 30-40 options at least. We ordered a decent selection, everything was great. Specifically the lamb with cumin and aubergeine in sea spicy sauce were standout.With some beer and wine and lots of food it came to around £40 per person which I felt was reasonable value for money for what we had.

This is a very pretty little restaurant, a little off the beaten track but still conveniently located. I really liked the ambience - nice & relaxed (apart from our group of excitable ladies, having a big catch-up!) We all ordered & tasted lots of different dishes, which were all delicious - the Schezuan chicken nearly blew our heads off though, super fiery! A good selection of wine and sweet-natured service from the staff reinforced our positive impression of this lace. Will return to this cosy location on a 'date night' in the near future!

Went to Kirin for lunch which I do every couple of months. When it first opened, the service was slow and rubbish but they had a good waitress who was teaching the other staff what to do. The food was also fresh and tasty. Unfortunately, the service has become even worse and food is just ok now. The waitress who knows what she is doing wasn't there on this occasion so we always had to flag someone's attention if we needed anything. There was a guy who I waved at for attention who saw me but proceeded to go to the bar and serve another table's drinks, after that he looked like he didn't know what to do and so walked to the table next to ours as to serve them and totally forgotten I had grabbed his attention. So I had to wave at him again. I asked a waitress for chilli oil, she just turned around and immediately went to clear an empty table and didn't come back. When we were paying, the waiter was rude and had not spoken to me since I ordered our food, just handed me my card and receipt and walked off.Food-wise, the soup tasted like it had a lot of the Chinese cooking wine in it. The siu mai looked and tasted like it it was the frozen ones you can buy at the Chinese supermarket. The ho fun portion had shrunk and the noodles were dry despite being covered in black bean sauce. Won't be going back anymore!

I came here for lunch with work friends. The food was really good and ine of the best chineese restaurants i have been to. They have paid a lot of attention to the atmosphere. You do need to signal the staff if you need any extras etc but all in all a very good experience and would go back

I'm not usually one to complain but the staff here were so rude. Unfriendly, didn't tell us what they were serving us and when we asked about the menu one of the waitresses just pointed to something on the menu and then walked away and said she would give us more time! No offer of recommendation or help! The food I can't say I enjoyed, my started was dry with no sauce and my main meal was lacking chicken and just seems mainly veg. When we complained there was no offer to take something off the bill and it was very pricey and not worth it.The people in the karaoke rooms seemed to be having a good time but we did not!

Went here for our Christmas party - food was good - bit oily but that's what you get with Chinese food. Service was a bit slow but perhaps that was due to the crowd - approx. 40 people.

Went here because it was nearer than the other better know Chinese near Bank station. It's okay for the price, but next time I will walk a bit further and pay a bit more for a better meal

The kirin is a beautiful restaurant with delicious food. I would recommend anyone to go there. strong recommend peking duck, that is very delicious.

Went here for a work night out and left disappointed. Food was OK but expensive.The starters were tasty, ribs and dumplings were well above average. Main courses disappointed us. Bbq lamb was £28 for 6 small pieces of overcooked tepid lamb. Our bbq duck was also cold. Meal was £50 pp including drinks and tips.

I love Asian spicy food and often I got disappointed with the degree of spiciness in London.I haven't so much expected but surprisingly I was really pleased with the quality of foods. Services were attentive with politeness. But expensive for private dining but I would go back when fancy for spicy authentic Chinese food on London.

I have also dined in and taken away from this place. The restaurant seems to be always crowded. Roasted duck was good. Stir-fried green bean with garlic and mince was also a must try. However, the service was slow. There was day when we waited nearly 30 mins for food to come. Besides, you need to get the discount to make it worth dine in.

The most expensive Chinese restaurant you'll ever visit. Service was way way below average. the food was delayed even though the restaurant was mostly empty, beef was mostly fat. I will never come back or agree to be invited at this place.

I liked it here - good, clean food and a real sense of quality. The duck spring rolls were excellent. The staff were very friendly, but the service was really slow, which got a little frustrating. Once you did manage to speak to someone, they were excellent. One of the best Chinese restaurants I've eaten in.

This was the second time I visited and it was again a great experience. Staff are welcoming and friendly. Food is delicious, especially the Shanghai dumplings (best I had in London), beef with mushrooms and duck with pancake.

The Kirin has an extensive menu with a number of non-traditional items. The food was pretty good as was the service. Prices were a bit high but not outrageous.

Seeking a genuine Chinese close to city on a Saturday night and certainly found it. Every dish, fresh and exactly as it should be, from wonton soup to Sichuan chicken, even the ginger kailan the best I have tasted outside singapore. A new menu starting this evening apparently , should certainly give London's trendier places a run for their money on that alone. Not cheapest but well worth seeking out .

I was having a strong craving for authentic chinese food and I went on the hunt online to find one. I chanced upon Kirin with an opentable 20% offer on weekends. I'm so glad I went here with my husband.The decor was tasteful, oriental style. It has quite a few seats up front, one large table for large groups and quite a few karaoke rooms. You can hear some remnants of the karaoke singing from the tables but by and large it was bearable. The food was so good it drowned out any music. Had the xiaolongbao to start which was made perfectly, no tears whatsoever despite the delicateness. The juice was immediately felt on my tastebuds and I relished it. They had run out of any dumplings but I'm keen to try some dim sum next time!For our mains we had the chongqing style chicken which was fiery and delicious, as was the king prawn/squid in foie gras and xo sauce - a fantastic delight to eat as the highlight of the evening.We also ordered the seafood crispy noodle. The seafood was brilliantly cooked but we were disappointed by the noodles and left it. Also didn't really fancy our steamed rice, a minor quibble.I'm keen to come back and try more dishes, including from your new menu in August.Thank you for delightful service and a wonderful evening too!

Great Chinese food here and always dependable - the dim sum is very good. Some good authentic dishes as well old classics. Prawn dumpling was awesome and loved the main courses

Had a lovely time in here with my boyfriend. The food and wine was beautiful and the prices were very mixed.. We managed to pick a night when it was quiet and romantic.

Delicious and authentic Chinese food, away from the slap dash, rough and ready of Chinatown. I have now eaten here many times (lunch and dinner, business and also with family and friends) and each time the quality of food and service has been excellent. There is plenty of choice for veggies and non-veggies alike and the staff are very helpful with suggestions, if you need. Personally, I cannot go without eating the Siu Loong Bao, which compete with any I have eaten anywhere in the world. The ambience is lovely and it is simply an enjoyable experience to eat at Kirin. Luckily for those who eat here regularly it is not an obvious find, at the end of a narrow road leading from Cannon Street. But go seek it out if you are looking for quality Chinese food, in a comfortable setting - this really is a gem of a find.

I had a lunch at this place and was very pleased with it. The place is immaculately set up, very clean, and only reasonably noisy. The service is unobtrusive, very quick, and efficient. The menu is extensive and covers all the usual Chinese delights, the separate dim-sum menu is a masterpiece. The standards of cooking are high. The meat and crab dim sums were wonderful, the soft shell crab in garlic and chili dressing was a bit soggy and overly salty but still quite pleasant. The oolong tea was a slight disappointment as it lacked full flavour of a proper oolong but was still very much drinkable. I can safely recommend this place for a business lunch (the din is just about right to have a private conversation without raising your voice or straining your ears) or a dinner. I was positively suprised with how full the place was at 1pm mid-week, so a reservation might be a good idea. I didn't have any but still managed to get a good table though.

Feels like it is a gem in the forest due to the restaurant is just a short walking distance from main street but it is not noticeable at the main street. It has a fairly big, beautiful and elegant decorated dining hall (even the toilet as well) the restaurant also have several private dining room. They serve authentic Hong Kong and Chinese dishes, taste delicious, good presentation and appropriate portion, prices are also reasonable; hostess are friendly

I booked this restaurant for a birthday dinner with my niece, who loves Chinese food. Wanting to avoid Chinatown, we found this great place down a small street in the City. the service was very friendly and efficient (unlike so many Chinese restaurants in this city!). the food was really delicious, with none of that greasy after taste you can get. the salt and spicy aubergine was a particular stand out. The decor was comfortable and stylish, although did feel a little on the cold side (nothing the air con can't fix). there are also a few karaoke rooms at the back of the restaurant which can be hired out with your dinner - definitely going to return for a fun night there.

A wonderful subterrainien restaurant offering mouth watering delights, I tried it and would go back again, it is a large restaurant so I would advise booking on a Thursday,Friday and Saturday to capture the ambience of the restaurant,All in all very very good

I am generally not a lover of Dim Sum - it has frankly been a pointless dish to me over the years. This restaurant completely changed that - the Dim Sum here is superb. I completely recommend letting the maître de suggest a selection to you and exploring the menu with the help of the experts. Mansion house駅の近くにある中華料理店です。綺麗な内装で、フレンドリーかつ賢い店員の方々が対応してくれるので、居心地良し。料理は標準以上に美味しく、値段も都心部であることを考えるとリーズナブルです。店の奥には大きな個室（カラオケルーム）があり、プライベート、ビジネス共に使えるお店だと思います。

The staff are friendly and service is fast , plenty of vegetarian options I had the tofu which was really tasty, my husband had prawns for starters which he said they are the best he's ever tasted,good portion sizes the only thing is , its a bit pricey.

I have had dinner at this restaurant twice. Service is quite friendly for London's standards, but also quite slow. Food is OKish if you are into this kind of chinese. Very high price

This place is way above your normal Chinese take-away. I had a wonderful soup made directly at the back -- miles from your standard won-ton level. I was following Ting Ting's recommendation, and locals in the village later told me that was what they did too.If after that you feel like something alcoholic, there is the Six Bells pretty much next door. Just the way a real pub should be, sums it up.For Kirin I have put "excellent" for the atmosphere - no, I did NOT go to the Six Bells first, and drink too much. I am judging by Chinese take-away standards.

Friendly welcome. Plenty of choice so should find something for all tastes. Cold and hot appetisers . Great selection including wasabi prawns, , salt chilli squid, crispy duck, pork ribs . Staff were very friendly and efficient. Restaurant atmosphere and décor all very welcoming.

This used to be the College Press pub frequented by the men in funny blazers back in the day and with the re-development of the building comes back as the Kirin... Dim-sum and Kareoke bar. Don't let that put you off. The food is superb .. Especially the long bao.. Beautiful soup dumplings !! All the normal favourites are here and what tells me this is good.. It's full of Chinese people.Staff are very accommodating.. Love it !

チャイナタウンでも何軒か中華料理屋さんに行きましたが、こちらのお店の方が味・接客・お店の雰囲気ともに良かったです。　ホールに日本語を少しだけ話せる中国人の方がいてお料理を運んできてくれるたびに英語が話せない私には日本語で息子には英語で話しかけてくれます。　特にシューマイがお肉たっぷりジューシーで美味しかったです。

I was taken to this restaurant by some Chinese clients and really enjoyed the food. It is hidden away from the main part of the City but is well worth hunting it down. The Dim Sum was very good and my hosts both said that it was one of the most authentic Chinese restaurants in London. Well worth a visit!

We found this great little restaurant on OpenTable, using a 30% off the bill voucher offered through booking. The restaurant is tucked away but is still relatively easy to find. The restaurant has a lovely interior and the staff were welcoming. The drinks menu was well placed and the food menu offering a wide range of dishes. The Chinese food served here isn't your usual greasy rubbish from a takeaway but authentic and tasteful food. We had the set menu for 2 which we couldn't even finish, there was so much! It's nice and quiet here on weekends, with the city being shut. Highly recommended.
