Very courteous service and delicious food Food that tastes authentic.

We had a good dinner, but nothing exceptional. The food was fine, but average compared to other Chinese restaurants we have been to. The lady that served us, was very nice and attentive. The interior is a bit outdated, so it seems it is more of a take out place than for sit down dinner. I recommend green beans and hot and sour soup, on the other hand we were not fans of dim sum. There is a service charge automatically included in the bill and not mentioned on the menu. If you are in the neighborhood, go there for sure, but if you look for something special I would look further.

Great service! Originally planned for takeaway but stayed in and the food came out quickly, service was friendly and courteous. Sauvignon Blanc was great, ordered a variety but the salt and pepper squid and curry sauce were the hits!

Lovely food- a real hidden gem!

Wow! The best Chinese takeaway I’ve had in a very long time. We had wonton soup, chicken & sweet corn soup, Beef with cashews and special fried rice. The food was prepared quick as a flash and everything tasted really fresh and delicious.

Nice attentive staff, but felt rushed almost trying to serve the main course before we were half way through starter, main course luke warm when served and cold after 5 mins which was a shame as the taste of the food was ok.

I love Red Sun and have been coming here for many years. I have probably had over 100 meals here and enjoyed every one of them. They have all of the usual Chinese dishes, but also have available some dishes that are on a separate “Chinese” Menu and are great to try.

Great Chinese food which can be hard to find in London with so many below average places especially in Chinatown.

Amazing food! I had the chicken fried noodles (closest thing to chow mein), my sister had black bean beef and my mum got Singapore noodles. My sister said it was the best black bean sauce she’d ever had. Amazing service, the food came extremely quick and piping hot. Great food for a great price. A must try!

If you are looking for an authentic Chinese restaurant this is the one. I have been coming for 5 years plus, the service is always amazing especially the owner she is very friendly and very accommodating. I have tried a few from the menu over the years but my absolute favourite is the shrimp fried noodle with extra chill 🫶🏾 Whenever I invite a friend with me it’s becomes their fav Chinese restaurant. Every time I come the quality and portions are still amazing and the price is very affordable Especially for the area it is located in. Thank you to the owner for always being very welcoming whenever I come.

Very good Chinese food with generous portion. The deco can do with a face lift however not essential if one focuses on the taste of the food. Service varies, it depends on how busy they are. In general, I always get good food here.

A hidden gem. This wonderful, authentic restaurant is popular and welcoming. They always remember my team (we visit when we are in town for work) and never fail to recall my dietary requirements, preferred drink orders and even where we like to be seated. The food is freshly prepared to order and utterly delicious. Great value and with a good selection of drinks to wash down the tasty food. I would highly recommend a visit and the scallion noodles are amazing.

Have been at least once to this restaurant whenever we go to london when we want just go for casual comfort food , hole in wall but good authentic chinese food. Service is good and fast.

Lovely and cosy asian restaurant. It's quite a small place but they offer more then 80 meals (plus some variations to some of them) so there's plenty to choose from, including vegetarian options. The portions were on the smaller side but not to the point of a fault. The staff was kind and service was great.

If you want to enjoy great Chinese food in a cozy and simple place? Then don't miss The Red Sun Chinese restaurant. Easy access and easy to find. The owner, young lady, is always there and very hospitable. After a view visits, she already new us, welcomed us pleasantly and new our usual without fail. The food is truly very tasty and every trip to London we have to go there at least twice! If you decide to go to this restaurant, I am sure you have certain dishes that you like from other restaurants. I challenge you to compare if you find the same dish on the menu :) If you prefer alcohol for a beverage, no worries, the place is licensed. The prices are also excellent for the delicious food that is served. Highly recommended.

First time here and rebooked while eating our meal. Small restaurant and limited menu but food is absolutely excellent. Staff are friendly and helpful. Very reasonably priced. If you are in this area then please go, highly recommend.

We love this place as the food tastes fresh and more authentic. The people are friendly and really nice. The prices are reasonable and we always enjoy our meal. The service is good with lots of top ups of tea which I also like. Sadly, it is not near our home but it is near a tube station.

Had a great solo dinner at Red Sun a couple of weeks ago while on holiday! Had the seafood soup and the scallop/vegetables dish. Seafood soup was so good, I ordered two helpings! The female staff was very friendly too and made me feel welcome. Highly recommended place for a quick Chinese-food meal!

Worst Chinese restaurant in London. I ordered sweetcorn crabmeat soup, I received a bowl of sugared water. I ordered quarter duck. I received a few bits of dried up shredded duck. I would urge people not to order from or dine in this restaurant. It is the worst! I actually feel sick this evening. They are partnered with Deliveroo. I complained to them about my horrible experience and they basically told me to take my complaint up directly with the restaurant. So unprofessional

We couldn't get anywhere to eat after leaving it so late and walked passed this quite grotty looking Chinese restaurant full of people. As the belly was screaming at this point we went in but I did have a bit of a sulk when I sat down. I like nice restaurants and I will only ever eat great food....but I can quite honestly say on my next trip to London I will be back. I have never eaten such freshly prepared Chinese food in my life and the girls serving were incredibly friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The drivers and deliveroo services were queueing up outside and it was none stop. Ignore the facade and grab a table. Stunning!!!

Really authentic Chinese food. Reasonably priced and friendly staff. Service was good and like China food comes as cooked so nice to graze through many dishes over one hour or so.

Totally delicious meal. Don’t be put off by it being very quiet- they have been going 15 yrs and serve a lot of Chinese locals. We had the hot and sour soup, filling flavour and depth. Followed by as good a Peking duck as we’ve had ( and we’ve had them in Peking!). Friendly service. Good value

Pedí en el restaurante dos veces la semana pasada y realmente me han impresionado con su comida y servicio. Cuando ordené por primera vez, los llamé con respecto a sus alérgenos y opciones vegetarianas y fueron muy serviciales, lo que me hizo hacer un pedido.Una vez que llegó la comida (bastante rápido), estaba tibia, fresca y absolutamente deliciosa: pedí hongos negros con cebolleta que fue la estrella del espectáculo (como nada que haya probado antes), tofu en salsa de frijoles negros (genial, lo mezclé con algunos fideos caseros que había hecho antes), pastel de calabaza con frijoles rojos (cantidad perfecta de sabor a calabaza, sabor recién horneado en ambas ocasiones) y aceite de chile (excelente agregado al plato pedido pero usé un poco en mi cocina diaria durante la semana también). Unos días después, estaba deseando su comida nuevamente y llamé para cambiar los fideos en un plato vegetariano salteado (lo cual hicieron amablemente) y pedí platos de hongos y calabaza y aceite de chile nuevamente. ¡La comida era tan deliciosa como antes y sus divertidos fideos tenían la textura más deliciosa! Las verduras utilizadas en los platos siempre tenían algo de mordisco y nunca se sentían empapadas o demasiado cocidas.En resumen, me encantan sus platos tradicionales y su adaptabilidad / apertura cuando se trata de restricciones dietéticas. Toda la comida que comí se sintió fresca y llena de sabor, pero nunca demasiado aceitosa o dependiente de los componentes grasos para tomar la iniciativa, lo cual no es fácil con los platos vegetarianos. Otra cosa a tener en cuenta es que, en la mayoría de los casos, la comida china para llevar pesa sobre el estómago, lo que no experimenté con su comida. Estuve en Londres solo una noche y me encontré con un amigo para tomar una copa y cenar. No teníamos idea de a dónde ir, así que solo hicimos una búsqueda local de un restaurante chino. El Sol Rojo estaba en el área, así que es a donde nos dirigimos. No hay nada grandioso ni pretencioso en este restaurante, pero tan pronto como vimos clientes chinos supimos que debía ser bueno y no nos decepcionó. Tuve carne de Szechuan con arroz frito y fue encantador. Definitivamente recomendado.

We were staying down the street, thus went past Red Sun several times before venturing in. It particularly caught our interest that a large group of Chinese people went in, suggesting some authenticity. Very much enjoyed a chicken noodle dish and house special flat rice noodles (packed with meat and shrimp). Server was helpful in directing us to gluten free options.

Cada vez que estamos en Londres tenemos una comida o dos aquí. ¡Lo hemos estado haciendo durante años y cuando entramos nos reconocen de inmediato como los dos visitantes australianos! Nuestro vino regular llega e inevitablemente comenzamos con un cuarto de pato al servicio de Lovely. Pedimos un plato de vieira y una ligera mezcla nos vio recibiendo gambas. No hay problema y luego un plato de carne que fue un poco decepcionante.

This delightful little restaurant makes great food. They were very busy, so don’t be in a hurry. The staff are very hard working and competent. We had the crispy duck and the steamed sea bass and both were spectacular.

Was recommended by the concierge at our hotel that is 50 meters away and is good. The place quiet small about 7/8 tables to accommodate around 30 people. Was quite full. We ordered soup hot and sour, dumplings, spring rolls, crispy duck, fried and steamed rice and steamed sea bass. Food tasty , service ok & we paid around £30 per person including 10% extra as tips.

Viniendo de San Francisco conozco mis albóndigas de sopa. ¡Las albóndigas del sol rojo eran legítimas! Me quedé impresionado. Todo lo que nos había sabido muy bien, desde sopa caliente hasta arroz con camarones fritos. Estoy bastante seguro de que hay platos incluso mejores. El servicio es muy amable y la comida es rápida. Precios bastante buenos para Londres.

The Chinese food was decent but the service was outstanding. The service was very attentive and they constantly checked to make sure you had your water refilled and plates removed.

We took my godson to the Red Sun Chinese Restaurant for dinner, as he had mentioned that he would quite like to eat Chinese food. I had never been here before, but he recalled going to the Red Sun in the distant past. Actually, we had a good meal, and with wine and beer, the bill came to a reasonable £105, to include service. The food menu is extensive, whilst the drinks menu is quite restricted. The place was packed mostly with Chinese, which I took to be a very good sign. Service was efficient and friendly.

My 7yo daughter & I enjoyed a delicious dinner here - crispy duck & pancakes were superb & the house noodles were some of the best I've tasted. Only not 5 stars as the crispy seaweed was a little stale but everything else delicious. Worth seeking out if near by. We went at 5pm & got a table easily.

After a long stay in Cumberland/Marble Arch area, I missed my Chinese food. I was glad I found this place. The food is authentic and cater for customers with a range of food palettes. Staff members are not only friendly and attentive too.

Gironzolando per le viuzze dietro il Double Tree ci imbattiamo in questo minuscolo ristorantino. Ci affacciamo e, a parte una coppia di anziani signori inglesi, tutti gli altri commensali sono cinesi e decidiamo di entrare. La gentilissima signora ci fa accomodare nell'unico tavolo ancora disponibile e ci porta i menù. Non li apriamo nemmeno e chiediamo di suggerirci qualcosa. Ci viene chiesta una preferenza (anatra mia moglie e carne di maiale io) e il resto è da 5 stelle. Mia Moglie rapita dalla sua anatra croccante con le mini crepes e le verdure da mangiare arrotolate tutte assieme. Se torno a Londra passo sicuramente a salutarli. Il conto salato se si pensa al classico ristorante cinese "all'italiana" ma quì stiamo parlando di cose completamente diverse.

Selected this restaurant based on TripAdvisor reviews, but were we disappointed. After waiting outside until our table was prepared (not a problem) we promptly ordered our drinks, starter and main courses. Drinks arrived warm after quite a delay, then the table beside ours - who were seated a good 15 mins later got their starter and main course before our starter arrived. A further four tables, again seated after us, all got their food served before any sign of our main courses despite multiple requests to the servers. Finally our mains started arriving one at a time after over an hour wait, it took ten minutes to get all our food on the table - not ideal if you want to eat together as a family. Our overall experience was one of being ignored and treated rudely.

We came across this restaurant one lunch time and were impressed how busy it was. We booked for that evening and enjoyed one of the best Chinese meals we have had. Started with crispy duck and pancakes followed by sweet and sour pork , egg fried rice and crispy beef. There is no wine list but a choice of one white and two reds. No problem the red merlot was excellent. When the bill arrived it was very good value for money. Staff were also very friendly.

We should have ordered half a crispy duck for a family of four because it was delicious. The szechuan beef is equally tasty. We also shared the pork belly and cashew chicken which were good. Restaurant staff make you feel as if you are the only diners in the cozy and warm dining area. Two thumbs up!

Comida China, a 5 minutos de Marble Arch. Bastante pequeño en su interior, un personal atento sin ser agobiante. Buena comida, mal de precio. Altamente recomendado.

Grandes porciones de comida sabrosa precio razonable y buen servicio cálido a unos 8 - 10 libras para la mayoría de platos o platos principales no decir rojo sol afuera. Simplemente busque un restaurante chino con faroles rojos.

Gustare un buon cinese anche fuori da China Town, pur restando in centro. Poco a nord di Marble Arch, quindi vicino a Oxford Street. Piccolo ristorante gestito da ragazze gentili e sorridenti (e già questo è una rarità). Ottima l'anatra croccante servita con piccole crepes e contorni. Nella media il resto. Frutta offerta. Leggermente più caro, ma comodo se si è in zona.
