One of the best Chinese restaurants I have been to. I have tried Chinese food all over the world: Africa, Middle East, Europe, and London. Great service, great food and great family atmosphere. People start comparing and saying I have better/worse etc. well of course it's their right to do so. I have been here more than once and the food is consistently very very good with good filling portions (Be careful not to over order) even cooking us something not on the menu . How many times have they cooked something and it turned out the exact same. This all depends on seasonal ingredients' availability etc. My only regret is that for a Halal Chinese restaurant, I did not discover this sooner. Thank you. I will keep visiting you again.

First of all call this place for collection order lady on the phone struggling to understand but in the end we did it upon collection there was one big table same lady was serving i was waiting on reception for my collection order suddenly lady ask me what's the number basically she judge me as asian delivery driver guy when I say I call for collection it was no apology instead this how much is your bill that's all unprofessional service rude attitude food is below average never ever again horrible experience stay away

I visited Maxi Mini Restaurant in London and were able to find convenient street parking just outside, which was a good start. When we entered, we were the only customers. The waiter greeted us—not with a smile, but still in a friendly manner—and we took our seats. The waitress came over and helpfully explained the menu, which we appreciated. The food, however, was a mixed experience. The lamb ribs were okay but nothing particularly special. The chicken corn soup stood out as quite good and enjoyable. Unfortunately, the crispy duck was underwhelming; we’ve had much better before. The ramen was also disappointing and needs significant improvement. The service was decent and helpful overall, but there’s room for improvement, particularly in paying attention to finer details. Considering its central location not far from Edgware Road, this restaurant has potential but will need to raise its standards to compete effectively in such a competitive area.

Beef was very rubbery. We felt like it wasn't a real beef it was something else. Both beef in the noodle one and black been sauce beef was a weird taste. Chicken with chilly was like modified chicken. Not like real chicken too. Fried vegetables and duck was nice. We asked extra pan cake for duck which it wasn't enough. They brought us 2 pancakes but charged for 3. The most disappointing thing was fried ice-cream. In the picture there were at least 5 - 6 ice creams but they served us 1 ball of ice cream cost of more than £8 which is very highly over priced. We were very happy to find a halal decent Chinese restaurant. But I don't think we will go back. There's something wrong with beef meat deffinetly.

Being from Dubai went to the restaurant at 8.45 not knowing the London timing. Still all of them were very welcoming and treated very well. Little goes without saying this was the best Chinese I had in town and would rate it better than the Chinese restaurants in Dubai. As it was the last order of the day, ordered soup, Prawns and Chicken Fried Rice. It was simply out of the world. Will highly recommend this restaurant to all visiting London Paddington. Superb.

Not enough servers. They move so fast that you feel rushed asking questions. There prep area is in middle of restaurant and they are so loud. Fried rice was over cooked Chicken fried noodles was ok Chicken dumplings and sweet & sour chicken were the beat

Fresh food, good service, a very pleasant experience

Some dishes were delicious. All of them were cooked slightly differently than the usual you find in other restaurants. Normally that would put me off. But that wasn’t the case. Beef in black bean sauce was delicious! The sauce was not as thick as you would normally find but the consistency went with the taste and it tasted amazing! Wonton soup was slightly bland, just the broth. The rest of the ingredients in the broth were quite flavorful. Flat noodles were also packed with flavor! Crispy duck tasted nicer than what I have tried in most places but I wouldn’t call it outstanding. Portion sizes could be slightly bigger. We needed to order at least 3 dishes for 2 people. Overall ambience was great! Its located in a quiet area and its quite a nice place to go on a date or celebrate with a friend or partner

Being adventurous and always looking to try new and different cuisines, I was doing some research on Halal Chinese restaurants. I came across Maximini in Paddington. The food and atmosphere was second to none! I am so glad that I spent my afternoon here. As nice and beautiful as the food was, it was nowhere near as beautiful as the manager, Anna. She was extremely professional, kind and courteous. By far one of the most amazing and awesome personalities, I've had the pleasure of meeting and talking to! She went above and beyond to ensure that I have the best restaurant experience. A massive thank you to Anna and the team. I will definitely be returning! 😊

Very nice place in the heart of London … all meats are halal … including beef chicken and duck… we went their three times during August second week with all our gang and loved the place… weather was beautiful and always sat outside … ordered multiple dishes but loved their beef black been sauce , chilli prawns and chicken noodles … quick in service …

We went with friends who recommend this place. We had an outside seat, the service was great, and the food was amazing. We had a few courses of shared dishes to start, then the crispy duck which was awesome. We then had a main each, every one was well received. A great afternoon with friends and good food, well worth a visit 😀

Food was not fresh at all We were served with cold previously made noodles so we sent back the portion after taking first bite as they were cold and were not made fresh which was later warmed up little on our request. Also we didn’t know the infants are not welcomed here, you guys should have informed us at time of booking so that we wouldn’t bother to come all the way from Luton. Kindly treat all customers equally. We felt some non welcoming expressions on the management staff.

We enjoyed a wonderful meal for my wife’s birthday. Booking via the app was a little confusing initially but there were no problems getting a table. It was a busy night - there were 2 large parties going on at the time, but the staff were attentive and the wait for food was minimal. Gorgeous food; hot, tasty and good portion sizes.

We were two travelers from France looking for an amazing restaurant, and we were not disappointed. The decorations are very cozy and nice, perfect for bringing in your loved one. The waiters were perfect—very efficient and kind, recommending some appetizers (Vietnamese spring rolls). We ordered beef and crispy duck with a lychee cocktail, and everything was perfectly cooked. There was no delay between each course.I highly recommend it if you enjoy very tasty food and quality service.

Visited twice. By far the best Halal Chinese in London! Situated in a beautiful location, staff is very friendly and polite. We ordered sweet n sour chicken, crispy beef chilli, crispy duck and very delectable deep fried ice cream. Food tasted amazing. 100% recommended!

Me and my friend were looking for a last minute restaurant on eid and came across this on Google. Honestly the best choice ever, we were running a few minutes late and I had called to let the restaurant know beforehand and the gentleman was so friendly about it. We were served by a lovely East Asian man (unfortunately I didn’t get his name). He’s the funniest and nicest man ever! If I had a business I would hire him tomorrow ! We will definitely be attending again. Thank you!

Very glad to have found this fabulous restaurant. We drove over an hour as there are not many halal Chinese options local to us, and it was worth it. The choice to round up my birthday here was a bit last minute as we were originally going somewhere else nearby, so it completely slipped our minds to pre-book, but they were very accommodating on a Friday. The ambiance and interior were lovely, fun but peaceful and not rowdy for a Friday night. The food was unfaultable. Everything was fresh, tasty and reasonably priced for the area and portion size. There are a lot of Chinese food places nowadays, but Maximini is not the same as a high street takeaway or chain restaurant. The food is definitely on a higher level with a more authentic taste. All the staff we met; Anna, Louis and Amy were professional, friendly and kind, you could tell they had real passion for the restaurant. It was a pleasant end to the evening and I'm looking forward to returning to try more of the tasty menu. My compliments to the chef!

Great halal chinese, perfect flavours. Soup was especially lovely and great value for money- each main was enough to feed three people.

A bit on expensive side in comparison to the prices and the portion sizes served. Crispy beef didn’t look or taste like beef. We got rice in two different bowls because they ran out of bowls. Even we were only party in restaurant at the time. One of the rice bowl was clearly small. But we were charged as large portion.

In the taste of a Taiwanese, the quality of Maximini's meals exceeds my expectations. The atmosphere of the restaurant is very nice, especially the service is excellent. Considering the prices in London, it's considered cost-effective, and it also has Halal certification, so you can bring Muslim friends to dine. Highly recommended.

This was our first time visiting Maximini, we did not make any reservation and we were made to sit based on our preferences within minutes. The service was superb, servers and manager were super attentive. The ambiance was also quite good. We ordered hot & sour soup, it was truly amazing and we received it within minutes. The main courses were a slight led down, as the quality of beef was not up to par (black pepper beef) and the battered chicken was too sweet. We will definitely visit again because of the service and soup. Hopefully we will try different main dishes and I am sure they will be better than our previous choices.

Went to book a table and were told it was walk in and after walking 20 minutes to get there we were told that we could not get a table in a very rude manor!

What a major disappointment... from starters to mains to finish including wine, max 35 mins, rushed in and out... food....starters platter was ok and ended there.... mains dreadful, beef was raw, chicken curry was tasteless and watery, rice was tasteless.. and near £100 for the same misery...look elsewhere.

Avoid really, mixed platter starter was ok.even though was on table within 2 mins of ordering... mother of god , what happened mains.. ordered chicken curry and beef in black pepper sauce.. sauce was tasty... beef red raw n jelly like consistency, chicken curry tasked like spicy wash up liquid.. rice was sticky and stodgy and tasteless.. paid £94 for this and whole experience lasted max 35 mins. Best advice, avoid avoid. Bring your money elsewhere.

If you want reasonably authentic Malaysian type cuisine, its a lovely place to have it. Food covers both Chinese and Malay choices and the selection is pretty much what we would expect in a restaurant of this genre in Malaysia or Singapore.

We went to this restaurant for a night out in town and we were not disappointed. The ambient was quiet and classy and the food was well portioned and very high quality. The service was extremely good, from the lady welcoming us upon arrival to the attentive waiting staff. We will definitely come back whenever we are in the area.

Everything about this restaurant is fantastic. The food is hands down the nicest food I’ve ever eaten in a Chinese restaurant. We had crispy chilli chicken, chicken with black bean sauce, egg fried rice and sweetcorn & chicken soup for starters. AMAZING! The staff were so friendly and attentive too. All in all, a brilliant restaurant, I couldn’t recommend it enough.

This is a good and Upscale place. They charge 12.5% service fixed - non removable, for 4 or more people which did irritate me. Service is good and food is quickly served. We had hot and sour soup ( not sure if it was hit and sour or something else) plus Tom yum soup was amazing. Highly recommended. We also had duck , tiger prawns , sweet and sour chicken (ok) and chilli chicken (ok as well) egg fried rice were ok. Overall bill 95£ for 2 adults and 2 kids without any drinks. Food wise taste is good and it’s halal so an added plus .. definitely coming back..

Wow this place is a hidden gem, tucked away in a beautiful residential neighbourhood, with both indoor and outdoor seating available. The customer service demonstrated to us by the manager who greeted and seated us, and the waitstaff was exceptional! We were impressed that they checked back after a short time to ensure we were enjoying our meals, as I find so few places do that now. Staff are attentive but not intrusive and our order was out in a timely manner. Compliments to the chefs as we can highly recommend your chicken with cashew nuts and special fried rice - chicken is so flavourful and tender, and the rice so delicious and fluffy. I was a regular customer before covid and now went today at lunch time, food was served cold. It wasn’t appetising at all. Standards have dropped. We did complain and only the drinks were taken off. They didn’t even try to rectify their mistake.

What a great experience and meal!! After a very long day exploring the city, we brought our two small kids for dinner. The staff was absolutely amazing helping us accommodate our large buggy, and our very tired, very hungry, kids. One of the waiters even noticed our daughter struggling with her spoon and brought her a smaller teaspoon to use for her rice. Not only was the staff wonderful, the food came out quick and so flavorful! If we lived in the area, it would be on our list of favorites! Thanks for a great dinner!!

This was one of my favourite places. I went after many years. The quality has gone down. The beef was so chewy and didn’t taste nice. We ordered a few things. All were below average. I returned the beef half way as just wasn’t upto to standard. They still charged full price. Even pizza express has better customer service

Anna and her team were both friendly and efficient. Atmosphere was disappointing with variable levels of distorted music and even Christmas music ... in March! The food was somewhat disappointing and lacked depth of flavour. We did point this out and were told that yes 'it can sometimes be a bit sweet'. Main dishes were on cold plates, and given the cold weather/low heating levels it cooled very quickly. Disappointing.
