Visited twice. By far the best Halal Chinese in London! Situated in a beautiful location, staff is very friendly and polite. We ordered sweet n sour chicken, crispy beef chilli, crispy duck and very delectable deep fried ice cream. Food tasted amazing. 100% recommended!

Very glad to have found this fabulous restaurant. We drove over an hour as there are not many halal Chinese options local to us, and it was worth it. The choice to round up my birthday here was a bit last minute as we were originally going somewhere else nearby, so it completely slipped our minds to pre-book, but they were very accommodating on a Friday. The ambiance and interior were lovely, fun but peaceful and not rowdy for a Friday night. The food was unfaultable. Everything was fresh, tasty and reasonably priced for the area and portion size. There are a lot of Chinese food places nowadays, but Maximini is not the same as a high street takeaway or chain restaurant. The food is definitely on a higher level with a more authentic taste. All the staff we met; Anna, Louis and Amy were professional, friendly and kind, you could tell they had real passion for the restaurant. It was a pleasant end to the evening and I'm looking forward to returning to try more of the tasty menu. My compliments to the chef!

Great halal chinese, perfect flavours. Soup was especially lovely and great value for money- each main was enough to feed three people.

A bit on expensive side in comparison to the prices and the portion sizes served. Crispy beef didn’t look or taste like beef. We got rice in two different bowls because they ran out of bowls. Even we were only party in restaurant at the time. One of the rice bowl was clearly small. But we were charged as large portion.

In the taste of a Taiwanese, the quality of Maximini's meals exceeds my expectations. The atmosphere of the restaurant is very nice, especially the service is excellent. Considering the prices in London, it's considered cost-effective, and it also has Halal certification, so you can bring Muslim friends to dine. Highly recommended.

Great food with fast service and nice outdoor area with heated lamps overhead. Had the beef with broccoli, sichuan prawn, and Penang rice noodle, and they were all authentic, delicious and reasonably priced. Would highly reccomend.

This was our first time visiting Maximini, we did not make any reservation and we were made to sit based on our preferences within minutes. The service was superb, servers and manager were super attentive. The ambiance was also quite good. We ordered hot & sour soup, it was truly amazing and we received it within minutes. The main courses were a slight led down, as the quality of beef was not up to par (black pepper beef) and the battered chicken was too sweet. We will definitely visit again because of the service and soup. Hopefully we will try different main dishes and I am sure they will be better than our previous choices.

Went to book a table and were told it was walk in and after walking 20 minutes to get there we were told that we could not get a table in a very rude manor!

What a major disappointment... from starters to mains to finish including wine, max 35 mins, rushed in and out... food....starters platter was ok and ended there.... mains dreadful, beef was raw, chicken curry was tasteless and watery, rice was tasteless.. and near £100 for the same misery...look elsewhere.

Avoid really, mixed platter starter was ok.even though was on table within 2 mins of ordering... mother of god , what happened mains.. ordered chicken curry and beef in black pepper sauce.. sauce was tasty... beef red raw n jelly like consistency, chicken curry tasked like spicy wash up liquid.. rice was sticky and stodgy and tasteless.. paid £94 for this and whole experience lasted max 35 mins. Best advice, avoid avoid. Bring your money elsewhere.

If you want reasonably authentic Malaysian type cuisine, its a lovely place to have it. Food covers both Chinese and Malay choices and the selection is pretty much what we would expect in a restaurant of this genre in Malaysia or Singapore.

We went to this restaurant for a night out in town and we were not disappointed. The ambient was quiet and classy and the food was well portioned and very high quality. The service was extremely good, from the lady welcoming us upon arrival to the attentive waiting staff. We will definitely come back whenever we are in the area.

Everything about this restaurant is fantastic. The food is hands down the nicest food I’ve ever eaten in a Chinese restaurant. We had crispy chilli chicken, chicken with black bean sauce, egg fried rice and sweetcorn & chicken soup for starters. AMAZING! The staff were so friendly and attentive too. All in all, a brilliant restaurant, I couldn’t recommend it enough.

This is a good and Upscale place. They charge 12.5% service fixed - non removable, for 4 or more people which did irritate me. Service is good and food is quickly served. We had hot and sour soup ( not sure if it was hit and sour or something else) plus Tom yum soup was amazing. Highly recommended. We also had duck , tiger prawns , sweet and sour chicken (ok) and chilli chicken (ok as well) egg fried rice were ok. Overall bill 95£ for 2 adults and 2 kids without any drinks. Food wise taste is good and it’s halal so an added plus .. definitely coming back..

Wow this place is a hidden gem, tucked away in a beautiful residential neighbourhood, with both indoor and outdoor seating available. The customer service demonstrated to us by the manager who greeted and seated us, and the waitstaff was exceptional! We were impressed that they checked back after a short time to ensure we were enjoying our meals, as I find so few places do that now. Staff are attentive but not intrusive and our order was out in a timely manner. Compliments to the chefs as we can highly recommend your chicken with cashew nuts and special fried rice - chicken is so flavourful and tender, and the rice so delicious and fluffy. I was a regular customer before covid and now went today at lunch time, food was served cold. It wasn’t appetising at all. Standards have dropped. We did complain and only the drinks were taken off. They didn’t even try to rectify their mistake.

I ve been going there since 2 decades and i still love taking my friends and now even my son there. Service was top and kind. Very attentive staff - my son loved it. Food is consistent good. We will be back. :)

What a great experience and meal!! After a very long day exploring the city, we brought our two small kids for dinner. The staff was absolutely amazing helping us accommodate our large buggy, and our very tired, very hungry, kids. One of the waiters even noticed our daughter struggling with her spoon and brought her a smaller teaspoon to use for her rice. Not only was the staff wonderful, the food came out quick and so flavorful! If we lived in the area, it would be on our list of favorites! Thanks for a great dinner!!

This was one of my favourite places. I went after many years. The quality has gone down. The beef was so chewy and didn’t taste nice. We ordered a few things. All were below average. I returned the beef half way as just wasn’t upto to standard. They still charged full price. Even pizza express has better customer service

Anna and her team were both friendly and efficient. Atmosphere was disappointing with variable levels of distorted music and even Christmas music ... in March! The food was somewhat disappointing and lacked depth of flavour. We did point this out and were told that yes 'it can sometimes be a bit sweet'. Main dishes were on cold plates, and given the cold weather/low heating levels it cooled very quickly. Disappointing.

Food was served within 2 minutes (obviously microwaved ) was terrible sent most of it back and they didn’t even ask if there was a problem . £4 for a warm can of Coke terrible atmosphere all could hear was cutlery being banged together etc very disappointing will not be back and would defiantly not recommend

Overall a good restaurant, with a good location and a quiet place, the food was excellent and good customer service. However, I was surprised to see that there are no baby changing facilities and it makes it difficult for someone with a baby to fully enjoy the experience, maybe this is something to consider for future improvements. And also, the place was too quiet, with no ambience music at all it's a bit unusual to not hear some sort of lounge music in the background in a restaurant.

Very lush chinese restaurant, with a great menu to pick from. Nice selection of drinks and mocktails too. Egg fried rice is lovely and fluffy, sweet and sour chicken highly recommended. Good range of starters also on offer, well worth a visit, excellent customer service.

I've been going to this restaurant for at least a decade, and it's still one of my favourites. The crispy duck pancakes are an absolute favourite, they are soooo good! The satay, chilli beef, egg fried rice, and the spring rolls are soo yummy. The atmosphere, the staff, and the food, it's such a gem . Also it's fully Halal... Thanks Jimmy Choo!!!!

Excellent service, food was served very quick. It was good halal food, the fried chicken noodles and the chicken In black bean sauce was the best. Diced fish with honey could’ve been a bit less sweet but it was good. Portion sizes were decent but could’ve been bigger for the price. Overall really nice and cosy place with great interior. Will deffo be coming back!

Overall food was decent. Not exceptional. The restaurant was quiet, hence food came super quick. Food was below average, I wasn’t impressed. Starters were okay. The decor inside was nice. The service however was exceptional. Cannot fault the service, they were attentive, and made sure we were very comfortable. So 5 stars for service.

I don't have anything negative to say about Maximini really. The food is always just delicious, the Sweet Chilli Beef is divine, the sweet and sour chicken, mango chicken and the crispy duck is just... well, delicious. A must go if you want good Chinese cuisine in a fine dining setting.

We have visited with my partner a few times and we were happy with the food. Particularly we loved the appetisers and the curry but all the rest is delicious too. The selection of desserts could definitely be improved as it is mainly based on ice cream.

It's good halal Chinese food but, a little bit too expensive

Had a really poor set of dishes tonight. They were inedible (undercooked or burned) and some made with spoiled ingredients. The price of the dishes have really increased. Which wouldn’t be so bad as Maximini is usually good. But never again. Sadly this restaurant seems to have gone downhill in quality.

Unexpected great meal, food was the best Chinese I have had in a longtime. Maybe the layout of the restaurant and atmosphere isn’t the best, but staff were great and food was really good and good size portions.

This restaurant is a hidden gem, tucked away in a corner of Bayswater! We loved it! Will certainly return, service 7s excellent too. Amir is such a hard worker! Lovely guy. Compliments to the chef too. Perfect and deliciosly hot food.

Portion is in the small side, the restaurant is rather small, the service station in the ground floor is rather noisy, it made the whole dining experience getting worse... The service is ok.. there are lots of room to improve, the waiters seems having tunnel vision, when they walking around in the restaurant, certainly not aware/open their eyes looking around, you have to waving hand few times, or you have to shout to get the attention which is very embarrassing for us...

Wonderful food in a lovely & quiet dining room

A wonderful dining experience. Venue was lovely, clean and we were seated efficiently on arrival. Menu choice was sufficient to please all four diners in our party. Food was superb, portions were good and all plates were returned empty…a very good sign. Staff were very helpful. The bill was settled with a smile. We will return !

100% recommending!! Excellent service even when they were so busy & super professional & friendly. The food was probably the best chinese ive had!! We ordered the diced chicken & prawn wrap (you get this on a plate with lettuce & make your own wraps), the veg spring rolls, sea spice aubergine & egg fried rice. Every dish was unbelievable & not oily at all (which is a big plus). Portions are fairly big. Between 2, we ended up spending £30 each. I am definitely coming here again

Went here today with my husband and had a great time. The food is really tasty. It has a peppery spice to it, which we both really liked. It comes fairly quick and the portions are a good size. The beef was really tender and full of flavour, but my favourite was the chicken. I also highly recommend the hot and sour soup, it was really good and the portion is even big enough for two people to dip in (as a starter) :)

lovely halal Chinese place been here few times and have to say its good plus is they dont sell pork so and surprisingly they have really good laksa the beef can be chewy at times but over all great experience friendly staff worth trying

No soap in the toilets. Not very good for eating Crispy Duck, and you wonder how clean the staff's hands are. Rude and lazy service from the manager and staff.

Das Essen wirklich sehr gut. Die Rechnung weniger erbaulich. Obwohl man nachgefragt hat, was die Menüs beinhalten bzw. was dazu gereicht wird und Reis als Beilage angegeben wurde, wurden für den Reis für 4 Personen (Reis mit Ei) satte 23,50 £ extra berechnet. Für einen Schuss Rum in einem üblicherweise nicht alkoholischem Cocktail, wurden zusätzliche 7 £ in Rechnung gestellt. Es mag jeder für sich entscheiden, ob man das für angemessen hält. Ich empfand das als extrem überteuert.
