Kinsbrook in Horsham

The restaurant was amazing. Basically a Michelin star tasting menu for a fraction of the price. Staff were excellent as well. Would highly recommend

I had heard of Kinsbrook since the pandemic when I saw their very impressive social media in the early days. It has seemed as though the business has grown and grown over the past few years - and as such I had high expectations when coming for dinner last Saturday evening. I am delighted to say that the expectations were entirely fulfilled. The food was first rate, with the roast beef especially being divine with the best roast potatoes one can imagine. The wine flight was impressive; one can quibble, that the beef could have done with a red pairing and the crème brûlée perhaps paired with a Tokaji or similar. Yet all the wines were, in their own right, impressive. My friend and I both bought a bottle of the 2022 Chardonnay (actually not on the flight) as this seemed particularly impressive. All in all, well worth the visit from London - and it would be good to return at some point during the day! Such enthusiastic, friendly and attentive service - a real credit to the team.

Great place to stop for a coffee and cake. Loads of great outdoor seating, with good views. Plenty of local produce for sale too. Have not tried the full dine in but looks promising. Plenty of car parking space too. Lovely and quiet.

Absolutely lovely place and pretty good wines too, but I have to say I was quite bemused by my first visit. I was expecting the usual welcome and offer to taste a few wines, as every vineyard around the world seems to do, but was met my confusion when I said I’d never visited before and would like to try a couple of wines before buying bottles. I was upsold to a wine flight and told to ‘move to the side so we can serve other people’ by a less than charismatic bald bloke at the deli (I too am bald so am allowed to use that description). I’d already asked to try three specific wines so was expecting the flight to be made up of these, and they weren’t, so I pointed out the ones I was interested in tasting and off he went. Very good wine! I enjoyed the white sparking and the Bacchus. Would have appreciated a bit if info or notes about them as part of the flight. My friend who had taken me there had told me about the usual red he drinks, which we were told they ‘weren’t selling much of’ by the much more charismatic young blonde woman at the deli, who was actually very good to us. I understand that it had gone vintage, but wasn’t quite sure why it wasn’t for sale. My partner wanted to eat, as our friends had told us that the food was good, and when she went to ask about availability of a table the bald bloke was again less than charismatic to the point of being rude - no explanation, just no. Very unimpressed. There was an event or occasion upstairs by the looks of it, but no information or apology was forthcoming. Unlike any yinyard experience I’ve had in this country and beyond. A shame really because we had high expectations and our friends were looking forward to us visiting with them! I don’t usually leave negative reviews but all four of us were quite dissapointed with the reception and communication, despite enjoying the wine.

We had a beautiful Sunday roast here today. We were welcomed and sat at a lovely table right by the window that looked over the vineyard. We have been here many of times but this time felt slightly different…. All the staff were excited that the Sunday roast had launched today… and so were we! Great food and I love the fact that they are sharing roasts. We went for the fillet of beef roast and 10/10 for food and definitely service… the only thing would be maybe bigger plates for the roasts. Thank you for making our anniversary perfect!

Excellent food from set menu, Billie our waitress was also excellent, was a bit more expensive than our usual lunches but we could understand why, as food was more high end restaurant than local cafe/pub. Would certainly come again for a special occasion or treat. Thank you all concerned. Lovely setting too may call in for a coffee soon

Absolutely sensational! I have been meaning to visit for a long time, the venue, the super staff and the food and wine were out of this world! Incredible atmosphere, reasonably priced and soooooo well done. My friend and I had an amazing evening - we will be back and spreading the word on how fantastic Kinsbrook is ✨

What a brilliant place, I thoroughly recommend it. The vineyard tour by Patrick was excellent, he makes the topic interesting for those with vastly varying degrees of wine knowledge. The food in the cafe is delicious. And last, but by no means least, the wines are gorgeous.

We had a lovely Tapas style lunch which was beautifully presented and delicious. It was worthy of a top quality restaurant. Very enjoyable and impressive.

We found this hidden gem and loved every minute. It didn't matter that it was raining, the views were beautiful, food on point and wine went down very well. The service was amazing Ashima and her team took care of our group like we were long lost friends. Can't wait to come back and try more of the menu.

I've been in Kinsbrook 3 times now. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Every time the food is amazing, fast service and extremely friendly staff. You can walk around the vineyard, amazing outside sitting. They also have amazing products on their grocery shop downstairs. I recommend their dry cider! Special thank you for Ashima, great hostess!

A hidden gem. Such a lovely place with stunning views over the vineyards. Everything I tasted was delicious and the staff are super friendly and passionate about what they do, very knowledgeable about all their food and wine. Will definitely be returning. Thank you so much for such a lovely lunch

Friend took us here for lunch. So glad she did. The menu was not the usual, it was a tapas style menu. The pastrami trout, the roasted Jersey royals and the cherry souffléwith flapjacks were out of this world. My picky friend was even happy with all the plates. This place has a beautiful setting and is well thought out. They have invested in a lift for wheelchair users and this is really appreciated. An owner who understands the £249 billion that the Purple Pound can bring to the economy of caring businesses. I have to re visit this place as it was subliminally good!

Went for a wine tour and wine tasting with a small selection of food to go with the wine. Followed by lunch upstairs overlooking the vineyard. Lunch was fantastic 😋. Definitely looking to return, hopefully for a family gathering 😀 .

Recently I enjoyed a wonderful lunch at this stunning vineyard with a friend. The food was outstanding, so delicious! Beautiful setting and very efficient, friendly, knowledgeable staff! On our way out we stopped to browse the farm shop and bought some beautiful gifts including of course a bottle of the Kinsbrook wine!

Just enjoyed a lovely wine tour hosted by Paul. Very friendly chap, full of enthusiasm and knowledge of the wine industry. Followed by pizza and more wine. Perfect

Could not love Kinsbrook more if I tried! Beautiful views, lovely wine, fun shop/deli and the best brunch we’ve all had in a long time!!! Very reasonable prices and friendly, accommodating staff who went above and beyond for us! We saw all weather possible today and were able to bask in the sunshine as well as shelter from the rain! 110% recommend Kinsbrook and already planning my next visit!

What a great place. Amazing service from friendly knowledgeable staff. The food was incredible with the best Caeser salad I've ever had. The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming which made it the perfect place to spend an afternoon enjoying amazing food and wine.

Another perfect lunch today and a bottle of Bacchus, if you haven't tried this gem you should, the wine and the venue. Excellent food and excellent service thank you. Scott and Natalie.

We arrived at 11am for breakfast and were immediately impressed by the setting and the staff. We ordered two breakfasts and our food took 57 minutes to arrive! There was no warning that they were running behind. The kitchen is open and they didn’t appear to be rushed off their feet. We chased after about 35 minutes and they said it was because all orders came at once! Our breakfast was nice enough but parts of it felt rushed (toast was burnt!). Our drinks were given to us on the house and a slight discount on the breakfast but I still felt we overpaid.

The manager, Tim, and the team were fantastic. Amazing service and delicious food & wine. Beautiful setting and we look forward to returning soon.

Absolutely love this place- stopped by for lunch and they were doing wood fired pizzas which were delicious! And live music outside - perfect Sunday!

Firstly, I can’t fault the food which was extremely flavourful and visually appealing on your plate. The risotto and the sea bream were my personal favourites with great depth of flavours. The service was very friendly, however, be prepared for a lengthy wait for your food. We were a party of 10 and some of our party had to share food with others forced to wait for theirs. Overall our meal was 3 hours!! In addition, they ran out of some of the dishes and also made mistakes on the orders which left me overall disappointed with this food experience despite how tasty the food was. Finally, I thought that some of the small plates were very pricey for the amount of food you received.

Brought here for a birthday lunch. What a delightful place. Felt chill and relaxed. We had the small plates as tapas with g&t & pavilion lager. Looking forward to another visit on a Sunday for live music

Beautiful farm shop and amazing restaurant / cafe with stunning views across the vineyard. Well worth a visit

This vineyard is stunning and on a summer day feels like you are on holiday. The food and drink is amazing, I love having working date with my husband or catching with either friends over brunch. The farm-shop is full of lovely locally roscoes food, homeware and butchers. Such a gorgeous place to visit all year round and amazing for families too. Can’t recommend this enough

3 stars is a little harsh . I've tasted all there wines and have not been impressed with value .there Sunday lunch is very nice with lovey sides and service excellent however popcorn cheesecake should be forgotten as an idea.

Just returned from a brilliant tour with Patrick. Very informative, lovey group of people and a lovely selection of cheese and meats to accompany our various wines at the tasting. Highly recommend!

Very disappointing food. Very little for vegetarians. I had a tomato salad and that was it - just cut up tomatoes on a dressing. I had to ask for bread to counter the acidity but it was undercooked - or a very peculiar recipe, served with butter made with treacle, a horrid combination. Sorry to be so down on it but in spite of saying how much I disliked it, we were still charged for food that was difficult to eat. I ended up with a sore stomach. Won't be going back.

Brilliant place with friendly and helpful staff! With some amazing food on offer in the restaurant and also at the deli set in a beautiful setting. Couldn't be more helpful either, will definitely be going back more (if only for the stunning pastries) check it out if you are in the area.

Came here for lunch with friends and were not disappointed. Sat outside on the terrace and enjoyed a sharing lunch of small plates. The menu is well balanced with a lovely selection of veggie, meat and fish options. Each dish was beautifully presented and tasted delicious. I enjoy English sparkling wine, and the Kinsbrook rose was outstanding. Dog friendly too which is an added bonus.

Visited for lunch with some friends and we had high hopes after being recommended Kinsbrook by colleagues. The service was very good as was the food, though very expensive for what you receive. However, in the evening my partner and I both suffered severe vomiting. When speaking to our friends they also suffered the next day... Needless to say, I won't be back

This place is a true gem! We went for coffee and cake and the Easter hunt and didn’t want to leave! The sparkling wine is the best I’ve ever tasted. This place has been done perfectly and we can’t wait to go back!

Went for lunch with my daughter 💕. Had a fantastic meal overlooking the vineyard. Definitely recommend, and we will be returning to try out more of the menu. The food available at the butcher and the deli look fantastic although we didn't buy anything on this visit.

"small plates" : big prices. Supposedly for sharing but no cutlery provided to actually share the food. Ridiculous. Took over an hour to get 7 "sharing plates". None of the dishes were actually portion-able or suitable for sharing. Beyond belief. £18 for a few scallops, a cold bowl of cheese for £12. £18 for three tiny tasting glasses of wine.

Amazing experience! The roast was incredible. We went with our dog who was a little barky however the staff were so understanding and friendly. Will definitely come back!

Brilliant food, wine and service. We’ve been before the restaurant opened and again last week for our birthday weekend and it was an amazing day. We even had lovely birthday cards on our table on arrival :)

Maybe avoid the £4.50 seeded loaves! And I'll tell you why..I saw a dog have a nice slobbery sniff (making contact!) of those displayed on a middle height shelf and when I told a member of staff he really didn't care. They remained there until sold.

Fantastic Sunday roast with all the trimmings - 10/10 for the quality and cooking, warm friendly service. Lovely views of the vineyards from restaurant. They make very enjoyable wines too. Try the white English sparkling wine, Kin 21 blend, chough au vin red wine. Good wine / gift shop.

We enjoyed everything about our lunch at Kinsbrook today ; the setting, the service and the delicious food. The cauliflower cheese was the best we've ever had and the beef served properly rare. We will definitely revisit.

I came across the vineyard in Autumn 2021 whilst staying locally (it was recommended as a dog-friendly place to visit by our hosts). This was one of our best finds ever and the beginning of a professional and personal love story with a fantastic place run by amazing local folk with great values who support fellow local businesses and people. I've loved to capture images at the vineyard since, on many occasions, and to see it grow and both my husband and myself and our dog have visited countless times. Kinsbrook Vineyard is a brilliant dog-friendly place for an intimate wedding or elopement, a celebration, coffee or brunch (highly recommend their newly launched Sunday roasts) in all seasons: cosy in the Winter, bay windows open on the vineyard in the warmer Summer months with plenty of covered space inside or outside and often live music as well as seasonal and special events (I highly recommend their Supper Clubs! ). Dogs are welcome throughout including in the farmhouse and around the vineyard (with the exception of the fresh produce shop area, understandably) and their well behaved humans too in a delightful, relaxed atmosphere with fantastic food and friendly service.

Such a lovely space: they're incredibly high quality in what they produce, have a cheese counter and a butcher (!!) and so many local, delightful things in stock. The breakfast is outstanding, we can't wait to visit again in summer and have some wine on the outdoor patio.

Great food and service, all round lovely place

Kingsbrook is a new build barn style farm shop and cafe with restaurant upstairs, balcony and views of their vineyard. The chefs in the restaurant can certainly cook and the small plates we sampled were all well cooked and seasoned! I love the concept which is similar to 64 degrees in Brighton with its open plan kitchen, although kings brook benefits from great views and even some live music on our visit! Service was friendly and the staff were all well trained. It was however missing a few tricks! The farm shop had some wonderful cheese for sale, but there was no cheese board on the menu! For those with a sweet tooth, there were no cakes, brownies, muffins, cookies, flap jacks or anything to sample with a cup of coffee or tea in the cafe (on our visit). The small plates served in the restaurant were all very nice, but expensive for a casual bite to eat as you need to spend around £40-£50 per person in small plates to equal a good meal. There was also limited main courses on the menu starting from £28 for a typical Sunday roast. It's a shame the cafe downstairs did not offer more snacky stuff for the casual diner such as warm sausage rolls, cheese toasties, wraps, bacon baps or Panini's. On our visit the farm shop also lacked produce on our visit. It was similar to many other farm shops with a small butchers area, a cheese counter, fruit and veg and some fresh baked bread which was all presented well, however like many other farm shops it was certainly not value for money, with local produce selling north of Marks n Spencer's already high prices! Overall it's a pleasant venue in a nice location with some top notch cooking from the kitchen team. I'm sure it will do well and I would be back despite my 3 star review. There is certainly room for improvement and I hope they take this review as constructive criticism, as it is meant to be.

We went for a lunch and really very good. Nice place with loads of friendly people. Food was amazing and there is a comment about the Jersey Royal potatoes, order two portions as we were nearly fighting over them they were that good. Be careful of the espresso as very acidic but everything else was absolutely brilliant. Very good disabled access as parking and a lift should you need it. Well thought out place and we recommend.

A must visit vineyard experience 🍇 even on a rainy and cold October day, this experience was standout. We did the wine tasting with the knowledgeable and very engaging Paul who talked us through the vineyard, the new restaurant and shop and a selection of wines. Not all were to my taste, that’s why I’d definitely advise doing a tasting before purchasing, but the Choque au Vin red was a highlight and one of the best English wines I’ve had. Lunch in the restaurant was lovely, I’d recommend treating it as a sharing plate style lunch and all the staff were wonderful. If you don’t have a car and are travelling from London, the train from Paddington to Pullborough works a treat and then it’s 10mins in a local cab. Thank you for a great day, we’ll be back!

Wonderful lunch today. Sirloin and rib beef cooked to beefy perfection. You must try the baby potatoes! Decadent plum and apricot souffle to finish. Real treat.

Enjoyed a lovely Sunday brunch on the terrace in the autumn sunshine. We had the eggs Benedict, one with salmon and one with the locally sourced bacon, both on locally baked sourdough and both demolished! Very friendly and attentive staff. We will be back.

We visited Kinsbrook on a rainy Saturday in August 2023. We booked in advance and chose to sit on the patio that overlooked the vines and we could take advantage of the patio menu which had cheese and charcuterie. We also booked a tasting on request which wasn’t available on the menu. We only had two hours as we were doing multiple vineyards and we had to wait 30 minutes until we could order anything. It was clear that the rain had caused some problems but it did hinder our overall experience. The staff however, were so apologetic and took money off our bill due to the multiple delays we had. Loved the shop also which had local products. The price for food was similar to London prices and was good quality. The drinks were good but we were disappointed there was no fizz to try. I’d like to come back again as I liked the vibe, the wine and the food was great. It would be good to go in a sunny day and allow a lot of time for relaxing with some good quality food and drink.

A wonderful organoleptic experience wrapped on a charming natural environment. Staff are extremely courteous the premises spotlessly clean and so many culinary and no-culinary items in a such limited and bright space. Highly recommend

Had a wonderful lunch here with friends on Thursday. The sun was shining, the doors were wide open and the views over the vineyard were magnificent. The food and wine were amazing, in season & delicious. We chose a mix of plates for sharing, a bottle of Kin 21 and also sampled the brand new release sparkling white and rose’. We also used the farm shop too. Top quality. Will definitely return.

Disappointed with breakfast at Kinsbrook this morning. Very basic, scrambled egg and one piece of toast. No garnish, nothing pretty. Shame as staff were excellent.

This place offers both a cafe serving coffee and snacks on the ground floor with a restaurant upstairs. I find it suits me well as a coffee and cake stop on a long road bike ride.

My daughter booked for a birthday treat for our family of 6 visiting from Manchester What can I say excellent in every way Kin21 recommended so good we bought a case of 6 charcuterie boards excellent local produce only thing we didn't realise it didn't come with bread and had a little while to wait Excellent welcoming attentive friendly staff Beautiful venue with stunning views All a credit to the owners would definitely recommend and will definitely return when we are back in the area

My husband and I visited for lunch to celebrate my birthday and just loved Kinsbrook. Highly recommend visiting. The staff were standout for being welcoming, friendly and attentive. The food was fabulous and of course, we enjoyed the wine, coffee and the view!
