Lemongrass in Horsham

Exceptional takeaway food, we have never had a bad meal. The food is always hot and tasty. Will definitely be dining in soon as takeaway is excellent.

Susannah and I only ate hear once before she died. At the time I was a little disappointed with the service. I’ve popped in this evening for a take out (local Chinese is closed) and I desire Asian cuisine but not Indian curry. I’ve ordered Thai fish cake to start followed by Nam-Tok with sticky rice and a Tiger beer on the side. This report is based on the service I have received this evening, the staff have been most welcoming: I have to say I originally wanted the Chinese take out, but as it was closed I forced myself here past Fish & Chips, Indian and KFC for an Asian cuisine. I’m sitting here enjoying the Tiger beer and nibbling on Thai spicy prawn crackers, the ambiance is convivial. My takeaway is ready to go… I only wish, is she was here to share it with me

Nice servers and food arrived in a timely fashion but the Thai green chicken curry was not nice, chicken was either very cheap or very over-cooked or very cheap AND over-cooked. Although I picked it out and left it on the plate, nothing was said, have had the pad Thai here which was much nicer.

I regularly get takeaway, but dined in tonight with friends. Wait staff were all kind, helpful and efficient and the food as always was freshly prepared and very yummy.

Amazing presentation, amazing flavour! Have been going to the Lemongrass a few times over the past few years and it never fails to impress me and my family. As a vegetarian there were many options. The vegetarian mixed platter with all the sauces was heavenly and the vegetarian Pad Thai could be a meal on it's own. Definitely would recommend eating in instead of takeaway. The service was great and the staff had great recommendations.

Recently went to Lemongrass Horsham and really enjoyed the lovely food and service as usual. Love the new menu. Fresh and modern. I think its still same, fewer dishes but all my usual favourites is still there, so not much change just a fresher look. Seafood platter is always purs a smile on my face. Actually all seafood dishes looks amazing! Gotta try them all!

Sadly this restaurant has gone downhill..the decor is looking tired and the food is now pretty poor. We have a few starters which were average at best and the salt & pepper squid was very chewy. Unfortunately my favourite dish of lamb shank massaman was borderline inedible as it was so tough not it’s usual falling off the bone. To top it all the meal was expensive for two people - safe to say I won’t be rushing back. Hopefully they can re-inject the energy and love for the food this restaurant used to have.

The atmosphere was great and the service was friendly and helpful, would definitely recommend and will be returning.

Visited here as a foursome on a Saturday night. Despite being busy the service was great and very attentive. We had a set menu for the four of us and a few dishes extra and the food was superb. Would recommend highly for anyone looking for great food on Horsham.

Met friends here for dinner and had a lovely evening. We lived in Thailand for many and usually avoid Thai restaurants in the UK as they have not been that great. This was decent though and had a good selection of authentic dishes as well as the usual non Thai bits and pieces. The service was really good and the food very tasty.

I booked a table for a group of 10 people for a birthday meal. The staff were so helpful from start to finish and made our evening so special. The food was really delicious and plentiful. The staff were attentive throughout and we had a thoroughly enjoyable evening and will definitely be going back.

The tempura vegetables and the soup were really good. Unfortunately the main courses beef in oyster sauce and chilli noodles were disappointing

We were very warmly welcomed to this lovely restaurant . It very pleasantly decorated with comfortable seats. The staff are very friendly and and attentive. We had their sharing starter which was excellent, good flavours, good sized pieces of food and very tasty. My Green Curry was delightful as was my partner Thai stir fry. We thoroughly recommend this super restaurant.

Been craving some quality seafood but didn't want to travel far. Lemongrass Horsham got it covered absolutely super! Food looked and tasted amazing! Want to try so many other dishes. Will have to come back to try all the other dishes. Waiter and Waitress were so kind and friendly.

One of my favourite restaurants. Absolutely amazing food and the staff are incredibly friendly. I recommend going on Sunday where you can get 2 courses for £10.95 which is an unreal deal for Thai food.

Definitely a place to enjoy Asian cuisine. All the traditional dishes and tastes are catered for. Just a little expensive, compared to its other rivals.

Went in there on 24th of June 2021. We had a booking for 5 at 9pm. The waitress who served us seemed like she was in a hurry from the beginning. She was rushing while taking orders and serving food. Food and drinks were taken...

Have been to the Cranleigh restaurant before COVID which was great. Ordered a takeaway from Horsham and it was excellent, the only slight downside was that it was getting cool by the time you get to Southwater. All excellent though - will be back

We have been here before so thought we’d come back for our first inside meal since lockdown restrictions eased. The staff were really really friendly, the food was brilliant as always and everywhere was really clean and spaced with social distance in mind. Service was also fast which is great.I enjoyed this place before and again this time, so will be booking again in the not too distant future. I’d love it if they had an online booking system though, however they are fast at responding to emails so not a massive issue!

I ordered Tom yum soup- what a total disappointment - nothing a taste of the Thailand I visited. Seasons advertised Very Hot so I asked for medium but got a bland mix with 1 and a half mushroom, 2 cherry tomatoes and 5 prawns shocking price at £7.25. Massaman curry wasn’t well seasoned either - I won’t be ordering there again. Mrs M

I ordered a takeaway dinner online and just before I picked it up received my email confirmation from the Rustington branch not Horsham. I was panicking as the order was over £80 and so explained the mistake when I got to the Horsham restaurant saying I had difficulty when ordering online. The Horsham staff said that they would deal with the order if I didn’t mind waiting for 20-30 mins and I wouldn’t have to pay again. I was amazed and grateful for their kindness. My family didn’t have to go without their dinner and had a delicious meal.

Usually come here as the food is great. Ordered takeaway last night. When I arrived their card machine was down yet they didn't bother to tell me when placing the order over the phone. After 15 minutes of having to leave to get cash out for their convenience the card machine was working again coincidentally. They then charged me the wrong bill and had to waste more of my time trying to work out how to calculate the difference. I had to help. When I got home the food was cold and dry. The sticky rice needed seperating with a chainsaw. It was revolting. Im not usually fussy about food but this occasion was awful and my evening was ruined.A full refund was issued but I will not be going there again. Such a shame

5 of us ate here for lunch on a Thursday during the Covid-19 restriction of 6-person maximum. All precautions appeared to be observed (not required to wear masks at table). The menu is vast with something for all tastes. The prices were very reasonable. The food was delicious, every single dish. The service was efficient and very polite and friendly, even as we unwittingly hurtled towards their closing time (presumably ready for deep cleaning before the evening session). They did not try to rush us even then. Highly recommended.

I have given it 3 stars because I could not fault the food but what I think is not right is 10 percent service charge so I went with my wife on Monday night to save some money on the eat out to Hellp out but by time they put on there service charge beware everyone you are not saving as much as you think you are and to be fair the food come out so quickly I really didn't get a lot of service anyway bill came to £66 with service charge put on the total and ended up paying £46 after the £20 of for just 2 of us as you can see you are not saving a lot

Pad thai and thai green curry takeaway. Excellent taste, small portions - £24 - poss wouldn’t use again due to portion size as would need to cook my own rice to make it a proper meal, but great for two small appetites.

What a wonderful evening we had on Saturday. We have tried other restaurants but always come back to this one, such amazingly efficient service by friendly staff and the food is lovely. We are seated upon arrival and a drink is served within minutes. A lovely selection of food on offer and all to a high standard not only in quality and flavour but the presentation too. Highly recommend the Lemongrass whether a romantic meal for two or a family gathering.

Lovely meal in a lovely restaurant.I’d not been here before but had driven past loads of times. After searching ‘restaurants in Horsham’, this one came out near the top so thought we’d give it a go.It’s nice and big with two sides to the restaurant. The staff were really friendly and the food was lovely. It’s the first time I’ve been to a Thai place and asked for the curry to be mild, and actually got mild! It was perfect! It’s nice to find somewhere who actually serves as requested! We will most definately be going back!

Fabulous Thai food with attentive service.Admittedly it was a quiet Tuesday evening for dinner, but others don’t know what they are missing.This was one of the best Thai meals I have had in the UK. Beautifully presented & well balanced dishes. Layers of flavour & interesting combinations (like lychees & grapes in roast duck red curry).Both the fish cakes & special duck red curry are recommended. Thank the staff too, good service is too rare these days & should be appreciated,I’ll be back!Paul

We went for Dinner with friends on Saturday night. Service Ok, ambience in restaurant OK, food Ok but slightly bland. Menu choices OK. Cost OK. Not great but not terrible. We would go back but not out of choice.

We met up with some friends in Horsham and decided to try this Thai restaurant for lunch. What a great decision that was!Despite this being our first visit, we were very warmly greeted by a lovely lady (Supakit) who made us feel very welcome.We decided to have the Tapas Lunch which included a soft or alcoholic drink. The men both had a Thai beer whilst the ladies had a glass of dry white wine. We had prawn crackers to nibble on whilst we made our selection from a wide range of Tapas meals. There was so much choice, and everything sounded mouth-watering, so it took us a while! In the end we all chose something different (T3 Chiangmai, T4 Lamphun, T5 Udon Thani and T7 Khonkean) and everything was so delicious with generous-sized portions and beautifully presented. Our friends decided they could make room for dessert and had the coconut ice-cream which they said was also delicious. My husband just had a jasmine tea.The restaurant was very quiet when we were there (Wednesday lunchtime) but I am sure it is very busy in the evenings. So I would definitely recommend booking a table to avoid disappointment.Whilst we were there the owner had just received his latest Food Hygiene Award (ranked 5 which is the best) and was placing it on display in the window. Well done and well deserved!As mentioned by other reviewers, a 10% service charge is automatically added to the bill (and clearly shown) which I think is a good idea and makes things much simpler. An extra touch was the bill calculated how much it amounted to split between the 4 of us. Even better as this always causes amusement when we try to calculate it ourselves using fingers!Although we don't visit Horsham very often we will definitely return to this restaurant to try some of the other Tapas selections! Thank you for a lovely meal and at a very reasonable price considering the quality of the food and its presentation.

You can pick from their extensive full menu or have a tapas meal. We had tapas meal, a wide choice of meals to pick from. All the food choices came up promptly, full of flavour and plenty of it. You also get a drink alcoholic or non included in the price. Excellent value for money. The atmosphere is chilled, a place to relax over lunch and just enjoy

This restaurant was just round the corner from our hotel and not having been to a Thai before thought we would give it a try. The food was excellent as were the attentive staff. Portions were okay if a little expensive. 10% service charge I don't agree with, service is part of what a restaurant has to do. Only exceptional service should be rewarded.

We have been to Lemongrass a couple of times over the years (and visited Thailand years ago). Each visit to Lemongrass has been a pleasure - good service, an extensive menu, and well-prepared food.

An extensive menu suitable for all tastes and dietary requirements. Food is tasty and well cooked. Service is good and attentive. The left side of the restaurant is quieter than the right, which can be noisy on busy nights.

Some restaurants struggle with large groups , every time I have been here it has been in a party of 6 or more and they deliver decent food with great service each and every time , always feel welcome and full. Decor could be taken on to a higher level but that won’t stop me coming back

Me and the wife have been here several times and we will be coming back many more times, great food, brilliant service and great staff and good value for money. I love the chicken massaman.

Just had a fantastic date-night at the restaurant tonight. Staff were very friendly and eager to service. The food was superb. One of the best Thai restaurant I’ve eaten. Highly recommend. Will be back soon with my family.

A group of us visited in February for my birthday. All i can say is the food and service were excellent, and good value. Been meaning to go back. See it may have changed hands, lets see how Lemongrass compares next time.

A lovely restaurant. Food, service and ambience was superb. our children loved it and the staff made them feel very special.

We visited this Thai restaurant located on the edge of Horsham on a busy main road on an overcast June evening. We had booked a table to be sure but the restaurant was quiet with only a few occupied tables. Food pleasant but not overwhelming and lacked the depth of flavour we have experienced elsewhere. Staff outnumbered diners and eager to clear plates as soon as cutlery was lowered.

New people now running the restaurant. Jeans and polo shirts instead of traditional costume. No linen napkins. I ordered what I usually order and definitely poorer quality. Beef was not as tender, hardly any sauce with my wife’s dish. Just an overall disappointment, Ambience has changed but not for the better .

One of the best restaurants we've ever been to. The service was at a very high standard . The food looks and tastes great - colourful and full of aromatic and fresh ingredients . Very intimate place even if is located in Horsham town centre. We will definitely come back , just waiting for the next celebration .

I didn't expect to find a Thai restaurant so good in England. The food, service, atmosphere are all too shelf. The wine list isn't the largest, but is very well balanced. Within walking distance from the town center, the Springfield Hotel and other Horsham sites. I'd go back anytime!

We have been to Lemongrass a few times. The food is always good. It's pretty standard Thai menu, the food is of excellent quality and beautifully presented.

Popped in for lunch, had the T1 and T3 set menus between us. Generous portions, lovely taste - fresh and flavoursome. If I lived in the area I'd definitely return!

Been here a few times normally lovely, chicken was really dry tonight and not much sticky rice at all. Do t think we will be ordering again.

Really lovely atmosphere, comfortable but a definite feeling of going somewhere a bit “special”. Superb, attentive service without intrusion and the food itself was lovely. A little dearer than your average Chinese or Indian but this is neither and worth every penny as a payday or birthday treat.

Party of 6 went to Lemongrass for a nice, meal. The staff were friendly, and the service was good. Offered to take our coats multiple times, and were polite.

We visited for a large family birthday meal and on booking, there were problems. The replies to my reservation email were sent in the subject section which was strange and we were told they could only offer 1 highchair and only had space for 1 pushchair which we understood and accepted but on visiting the restaurant, it wasn’t busy at all. The staff weren’t welcoming and we’ve found this before even without bringing children along. We had 2 toddlers and a child in our party who were all well behaved...we don’t allow our children to run around in restaurants! We felt they weren’t welcome and we’d much rather they’d have just said this at the time of booking so we could have gone elsewhere. It just felt very uncomfortable and it’s a shame as the food is tasty.

My partner and I were looking forward to our meal in Lemongrass as we haven’t eaten there for some months however we were disappointed from the minute we walked through the door. We were in a queue with other prospective diners and people waiting for take away food. The staff were no longer dressed in colourful Thai dress but jeans and a Lemongrass t shirt and no warm welcome there was quite a lot of confusion around where to seat us but finally we were seated.

Had lunch here last Sunday (ignore trip advisor advised opening times they aredefinitely open Sunday lunch 12-2.30), a little cautious on entry as totally empty and very quiet, but another table came in shortly after that made all the difference. We like Thai food and eat it regularly so interested to try somewhere different. Starters were traditional Thai style Fish cakes all good. The soft crap salad and Red Thai chicken curry however were both totally fantastic, aromatic, flavoursome, quite spicy, but about just right if you like a bit of heat!! . Totally brilliant, will be back again.

Excellent meal. Staff were friendly and helpful. Nice atmosphere in pleasant surroundings. Only thing I would suggest is to improve the dessert menu.

Arrived after a cold walk from home. Had already booked a table. Waiter pointed to a table saying “over there” and left us to seat ourselves. Sat down in a crowded room and were looked after by a friendly waitress. Food was lovely but... the heating was so warm that I felt uncomfortable and the noise in the crowded room meant that it it was difficult to relax, let alone have a romantic conversation.

Had a lovely takeaway from here last nite, it didn’t disappoint. We had the duck to share to start and then two Massaman curry’s. They were Devine and very generous servings.

We came here Saturday just gone as a party of 6 to make up for an abysmal New Years Eve meal at The Brewhouse & Kitchen. We were slightly past our booking time but still greeted with a smile and shown to our table. The staff throughout the night were polite, friendly and attentive but not in a rush you kind of way. We ordered the 3 sharing starter platters, and each had our own main dish. The food was beautiful and presented quite nicely and came out in very good time. We sat relaxed and chatting away at the end with no pressure from the staff for us to go. All in all, it was a great experience and will definitely go again.

Decided to have a takeaway as we'd eaten here before. It lacked flavour and certainly not to standard you'd expect from them. I wasted 80 pounds on an awful meal. Never again

Good Thai food - individual dishes preferable to set menu. Wines well priced. We spilt wine, made a fair amount of noise ( lots of end of year/ pre Christmas diners ), but the staff remained attentive and efficient.

Paid 50 quid for the set menu A, food lacked freshness and Flair. The usual thai freshness was lacking, as was the amazing flavours on offer. The main point for me is the lack of protein, less than half a chicken breast and maybe 8 slithers of beef. Not impressed, felt cheated.

Visited with friends for dinner on a Firday Eve . Have been impressed in the past with food here having had squid and deep fried Thai style fish but friends wanted to try the set meal a for £24:95 a head and didn't think it was worth the money . The satay chicken starter was moist and tasty but the fish cakes rubbery and spring rolls and prawns uninspiring . The main for four consisted of large plates of veg , noodles , rice and a bland beef dish with two bowls of delicious Thai green curry . Service was attentive but rather rushed and felt them waiting to snatch our table back before the allocated two hours were up . Bill was £160 for four with set meal a bottle of wine , few beers and service included . Next time I'd try their tapas lunch menu as looks great value

This is an upmarket Thai restaurant with well decorated restaurant space and very clean and sparkly, light and airy. The service was very attentive, friendly and professional and the food was well presented with a fresh,high quality taste.

I’m sorry to report that if this is the best Thai in Horsham then blimey how bad must the others be??!!?!

My girl friend is disabled so has problems with a lot of restaurants, not this one!! very welcoming, table by the window(to keep an eye on the disability scooter outside) Staff very friendly, left for a moment to gather ourselves then drinks,swift and tasty,young waiter (obviously training) offered crackers and top up of the beer. Lovely young lady in traditional dress took the order ,very helpful, food came promptly,mixed starters for 3.All very nice ,then duck,then steaks and rice .Very full, so no desert, Service all through very good!! Bill not cheap, but very happy with everything.We will be back!!! (not something i would say about many Horsham restaurants)

I'm disabled and no assistance was forthcoming when trying to get in. Difficult to order drinks. Waiter came back 3 times to take lunch order, very pushy. Food good but anxious to clear despite being practically empty.

The food was great but sadly the service from one particular male member of staff was very poor and if also felt there was a constant rush to finish our food. Hopefully the service can improve if we go back

I've eaten at the lemon Grass Thai restaurant several times with friends and always enjoyed the food, the excellent service and charming serene atmosphere. However, this time a friend and I needed a take-away meal. We found the menu on line , made our decision, and I called it through. Unfortunately they no longer did the spinach dish that my friend wanted, but I just checked with her for another choice and phone them back to complete the order. When In arrived to pick it up I was greeted very warmly by a lady in traditional dress. The meal was ready, they knew my name and the payment made quickly. The meal was delicious, still warm, very fresh, and top quality. It made a very pleasant evening even more enjoyable.

We were group of 4 and one of my friends he needs to order gluten free food so we choose this restaurant.

I love this place. The welcome is traditionally Thai. The food is fresh and clean. Really well presented. Love it.

Starved. First time went in to check if they serve take away food, the lady at front showed tired face and point to another friendly manager, he was busy too. So went out to check but there's no other decent Asian restaurant so went back. The lady saw me, showed very annoying face and immediately turned back, double checked with their friendly manager why the waitress seems so unhappy to see me and if they are willing serve food to me, answer is no.

Went here but found the food to be good but not the best Thai we have had, but also not the worse. Service was a bit of a let down and needs to be improved. Having been to Thailand severl times we know the culture is one of providing excellent service, unfortunately, Lemongrass does not seem to have the same level of service which is a shame.

Tried lemongrass as we lost our lovely River Kwai. Beautiful authentic food either as take away or fantastic table service in restaurant. Yummy!
