It was nice, but the chips were a bit soggy and the fish was two small pieces rather than one medium. Not sure we’d order from there again

I placed my order around 6.30pm. I requested a 7.30pm delivery. The delivery was half an hour late and the food was cold. This is not acceptable.

The fish was ok but the chips were awful threw some away

delivered on time after the delivery time was changed Driver had to phone and ask house no Was a bit expensive especially with delivery fee and service charge coming to £4.94

Takeaway for my Daughter's 18th birthday. I have had to mark down on quality as missing the daughters sausages & I don't understand why I have had to explain further in my email for compensation. The delivery driver was lovely.

Delivery was around an hour and a half. Had a phone call from takeaway to say driver hadn't turned up.

Ordered food for 3 pm not 3.30 today delivery is often late with just eat it’s not good enough .

Always fresh, hot and delicious. Been eating here for many years and during the lock down have enjoyed the home delivery service, simply the best fish and chips ever.

Food order was confirmed at 6.08pm. Time for delivery was 20mins wait time. Time kept changing and getting later and later. I rang Kings Fish Shop at 19.20 to be told that the order had been sent out ages ago. When it arrived it was cold. Not happy

We went to Kings fish and chips in Raleigh for the first time today. Was a pure spur of the moment decision when we saw their £10.95 lunch time offer for cod and chips with a buttered roll and a hot drink on a board outside. All the staff were really friendly and welcoming it was a really nice clean traditional style restaurant. I chose to upgrade and order Skate and chips off of the main menu for £13.95 The waitress was really helpful and polite. The food arrived very quickly and despite it being a special offer my wife was delighted with her cod and chips it was a good sized portion of fish which was pure white, flakey and delicious. The chips were delicious and it was presented with a salad dressing. My Skate was really tasty and very well cooked with thin crispy batter. Not at all greasy. All the food was piping hot and nicely presented. All in all very impressed with the meal and the staff, great food at a great price. Will definitely use again.

One piece of large cod was thin fish contained in the batter, shown up by the other large cod which was meaty as expected. As the fish was thin, it was overcooked with very dark batter. Not enjoyable. Disappointing.

Went to Kings with our WI Lunch Club. Fantastic food cooked perfectly. Service great lovely staff, going back ad soon as.

The time for delivery was originally 17:05-1725 and it then kept changing eventually it was delivered at 18:20 The food was almost cold. The food was ordered at 16:45 😤

I felt the food was over priced. The large chips were definitely not large and for £5 I think that is too much, but I think that is Just Eat over pricing! Next time I’ll collect myself!

Today not so good ..i love this fish and chip shop its normally the best but on just buying a minced beef and onion pie and chips .. when I opened the pie it was very dark in colour and on cutting into it,it was burnt and rock hard, the meat tasted funny and the pastry was burnt to a crisp..so I couldn't eat it what a waste of money , couldn't go back because I had a drink in the pub,what a let down

Just had a really wonderful meal, the service from the Waitress was excellent and her smile lit the room up. The kids loved it and the food was perfectly cooked and all very reasonable 💪 definitely will be back

Went at 9.14pm as advertise 10pm close time. Guy was inside with all units off and says they are closed. Update your times then!!!

The ‘large’ portion of chips is worse than a small from cod father. £4 for curry sauce the size of a kfc gravy pot, I never complain about portion size but this is £20 for a single person

This shop is advertised as closing at 10pm. On the restaurant door it clearly stated last orders 9.30. However when we arrived at the restaurant at 8.30pm. They wouldn't serve us as it was to late.. They were still cooking and it was suggested we eat outside on a pavement or have take away. Neither was suitable we are 2 ladies 77years old. If their advertisement was not false we could have stayed on our mini coach and ate else where. As it was we went home after a long day out with no evening meal...... False advertising and false trading discription

Purchased a takeaway Friday 21 June 2024. Exceptionally disappointed with the Plaice. Approx size of a small Dab, thin, White fish looked grey and batter thick and brown. Not golden an crispy low ke the cod purchased at the same time. In additio, the chips had so many eyes we could have opened an opticians!!

Chips weren’t the best. A few green ones and felt like they’d been cooked for a while. Bit disappointed

We came to King's today. We were a party of 5 people, with 2 of us in wheelchairs. We hadn't booked in advance and as it was busy, they asked if we could come back in 15-20 minutes time so they could get 2 tables together for us. We did come back, and the two women that served us were so friendly, courteous and helpful. Throughout the whole meal they were chatty and friendly with everyone, and the food was lovely. It was a real pleasure to eat here, made much better by the friendliness and helpfulness of all the staff. We will definitely come back here. Thank you for making our lunch so lovely.

Cannot complain about kings lovely food and delivery was in time, didn’t like the fact that the driver came to our door with a cigarette in his mouth and that out food had been in a vehicle with a smoker, that was not very professional

There are not many places you can get a skate middle from or proper chips but this is a good spot. I have used these a few times, never disappointed.

The fish and battered sausage was lovely. The burger sauce had a very strong mustard taste to it and the curry sauce pot had exploded and was everywhere in the bag sadly. Chips were ok but didn't have salt and vinegar on and we asked for it on one of the portions

Ate there on Good Friday (as is tradition), great food and service as always however visit was spoilt by a large rabble of degenerates whose loutish behaviour can best be described as primitive and as if they hadn't eaten out in public before. Led to a very unpleasant, almost deafening atmosphere at times and to be honest we wished we'd had takeaway instead. Felt for the staff who had to clear up after them. Food and service was excellent, as always. Will avoid next Good Friday as suspect this is that group's annual tradition too!

Usually really happy with the food from here. Ordered the small ribs for £8.75 tonight and opened the box to see just two tiny ribs about 2cm thick and 15cm long. Not sure if items were missing or not but I'd say I just paid nearly £9 for a few nibbles of ribs.

The food was just about’warm’. My ‘large’ ? Rock was far from Large and wasn’t cheap to say the least. We thought we would give Kings another chance considering this has happened before, but this is the last time I’m afraid to say. Very disappointed.

Delivery was delays l and just about delivered at the new time they said. Food was stone cold had to reheat. Portion size is terrible for the price you pay!

Have had the opportunity to try twice recently and both times the food was quick, hot and tasted delicious! First time we ordered over the phone and collected. The second time we got delivered. No change in great tasting food and service.

went in today Sunday 14th January we both ordered the special ot was lovely and freshly cooked, the young waitress was smiley and polite and running around the whole time so hats off to her, we do go often and are never dissapointed the special is good value for money fish and chips buttered roll and tea for two just over 20pounds.

My food was over 2 hrs late, the estimated time I believe is a trick to get you to order and then the delivery times change. This is the third time this has happened and the when you ring the shop they say they don’t know how long and a driver hasn’t been allocated. It’s really expensive to have a just eat home delivery and therefore I would expect better delivery times.
