Went to Kings with our WI Lunch Club. Fantastic food cooked perfectly. Service great lovely staff, going back ad soon as.

Always freshly cooked and piping hot. Delivery chaps always pleasant and arrive within time slot, occasionally early. Would recommend

Always fresh, hot and delicious. Been eating here for many years and during the lock down have enjoyed the home delivery service, simply the best fish and chips ever.

The time for delivery was originally 17:05-1725 and it then kept changing eventually it was delivered at 18:20 The food was almost cold. The food was ordered at 16:45 😤

Love kings always freshly cooked and delicious. Only disappointment was the portions have decreased. Delivered in good time and arrived hot

As per usual, hot, tasty and fresh, also delivered on time.

I felt the food was over priced. The large chips were definitely not large and for £5 I think that is too much, but I think that is Just Eat over pricing! Next time I’ll collect myself!

Delivery time kept changing , Food arrived cold and burger was soggy , this is the worst, normally it’s great .

Today not so good ..i love this fish and chip shop its normally the best but on just buying a minced beef and onion pie and chips .. when I opened the pie it was very dark in colour and on cutting into it,it was burnt and rock hard, the meat tasted funny and the pastry was burnt to a crisp..so I couldn't eat it what a waste of money , couldn't go back because I had a drink in the pub,what a let down

Just had a really wonderful meal, the service from the Waitress was excellent and her smile lit the room up. The kids loved it and the food was perfectly cooked and all very reasonable 💪 definitely will be back

Went at 9.14pm as advertise 10pm close time. Guy was inside with all units off and says they are closed. Update your times then!!!

The ‘large’ portion of chips is worse than a small from cod father. £4 for curry sauce the size of a kfc gravy pot, I never complain about portion size but this is £20 for a single person

So much better than other fish and chip shops in the area, exactly how chips are supposed to be

This shop is advertised as closing at 10pm. On the restaurant door it clearly stated last orders 9.30. However when we arrived at the restaurant at 8.30pm. They wouldn't serve us as it was to late.. They were still cooking and it was suggested we eat outside on a pavement or have take away. Neither was suitable we are 2 ladies 77years old. If their advertisement was not false we could have stayed on our mini coach and ate else where. As it was we went home after a long day out with no evening meal...... False advertising and false trading discription

Always lovely fish and chips, cooked fresh and really excellent quality.

Purchased a takeaway Friday 21 June 2024. Exceptionally disappointed with the Plaice. Approx size of a small Dab, thin, White fish looked grey and batter thick and brown. Not golden an crispy low ke the cod purchased at the same time. In additio, the chips had so many eyes we could have opened an opticians!!

Chips weren’t the best. A few green ones and felt like they’d been cooked for a while. Bit disappointed

We came to King's today. We were a party of 5 people, with 2 of us in wheelchairs. We hadn't booked in advance and as it was busy, they asked if we could come back in 15-20 minutes time so they could get 2 tables together for us. We did come back, and the two women that served us were so friendly, courteous and helpful. Throughout the whole meal they were chatty and friendly with everyone, and the food was lovely. It was a real pleasure to eat here, made much better by the friendliness and helpfulness of all the staff. We will definitely come back here. Thank you for making our lunch so lovely.

Every chip was over cooked and black bits

Cannot complain about kings lovely food and delivery was in time, didn’t like the fact that the driver came to our door with a cigarette in his mouth and that out food had been in a vehicle with a smoker, that was not very professional

easy to order delivered on time food was perfect as ordered.Cannot fault any part of the service.

There are not many places you can get a skate middle from or proper chips but this is a good spot. I have used these a few times, never disappointed.

Disappointed. I often visit this fish and chip shop and it is usually of a high standard. However, when I bought a saveloy and chips meal today the chips tasted as if they had been warmed up and the saveloy very bland. I

The fish and battered sausage was lovely. The burger sauce had a very strong mustard taste to it and the curry sauce pot had exploded and was everywhere in the bag sadly. Chips were ok but didn't have salt and vinegar on and we asked for it on one of the portions

Ate there on Good Friday (as is tradition), great food and service as always however visit was spoilt by a large rabble of degenerates whose loutish behaviour can best be described as primitive and as if they hadn't eaten out in public before. Led to a very unpleasant, almost deafening atmosphere at times and to be honest we wished we'd had takeaway instead. Felt for the staff who had to clear up after them. Food and service was excellent, as always. Will avoid next Good Friday as suspect this is that group's annual tradition too!

Usually really happy with the food from here. Ordered the small ribs for £8.75 tonight and opened the box to see just two tiny ribs about 2cm thick and 15cm long. Not sure if items were missing or not but I'd say I just paid nearly £9 for a few nibbles of ribs.

Food is good, but their idea if large is laughable.

The food was just about’warm’. My ‘large’ ? Rock was far from Large and wasn’t cheap to say the least. We thought we would give Kings another chance considering this has happened before, but this is the last time I’m afraid to say. Very disappointed.

Delivery was delays l and just about delivered at the new time they said. Food was stone cold had to reheat. Portion size is terrible for the price you pay!

Have had the opportunity to try twice recently and both times the food was quick, hot and tasted delicious! First time we ordered over the phone and collected. The second time we got delivered. No change in great tasting food and service.

went in today Sunday 14th January we both ordered the special ot was lovely and freshly cooked, the young waitress was smiley and polite and running around the whole time so hats off to her, we do go often and are never dissapointed the special is good value for money fish and chips buttered roll and tea for two just over 20pounds.

The food arrived hot and everything we ordered was in there. We did find the food much greasier than I'd expect.

My food was over 2 hrs late, the estimated time I believe is a trick to get you to order and then the delivery times change. This is the third time this has happened and the when you ring the shop they say they don’t know how long and a driver hasn’t been allocated. It’s really expensive to have a just eat home delivery and therefore I would expect better delivery times.

Original delivery time was changed 4 times will never order from them again

We ordered the food on the basis that the estimated delivery time was 25-30mins - although accepting that it may take longer than this. The actual time from order to delivery was over 95 minutes. One of my parents had to leave for an appointment so the food had to be thrown away. Extremely disappointing and has made us question whether to use the service again

My friend and I had the special cod chips roll and a cup of tea. Good portion, tasty, hot, fresh and yummy. Very good price. £10 The young girl who served us was polite, friendly and attentive.

Ordered online. Waited 1 hour and 45 for nothing to arrive. Phoned up. Seemed not that bothered. Cancelled order Suggest you order in the restaurant in person. Don't rely on just eat.

This is the second week running that it’s been delivered late. Not good enough when people are on a timed lunch.

Manager is really rude, so was the woman who answered the phone rung up to say I'm missing a piece of cod and got told to come and collect it myself, when I've had to pay for delivery food has gone cold wouldn't offer to replace any of it

Pre ordered food, got home missing large cod. Drove back up it had been left sat on the side. Get home and realised they had not put the curry sauce but left it as I couldn’t be bothered to go back again. No answer on the phone and the savaloy was stone cold not happy at all cold food and missing items

The burgers was lovely and fresh, the large chips was abit small but absolutely delicious the price of things are better then our local. Would definitely recommend 👍🏻

batter was a bit wet the large cod was only a little bit bigger than the medium cod when i come into eat the large is off the plate. David.

Excellent food and service! Just eat driver delivered to incorrect house but after speaking to the restaurant- a member of staff re cooked the food and delivered it to us himself within 20 minutes. Highly recommend!
