Kings garden Cantonese and English takeaway in Stroud

Nice little takeaway. We had crispy prawns, wontons, satay chicken, egg fried rice and sea weed. All very tasty. We gave 4 as it’s not as good as our takeaway back home in bristol in terms of flavour, but the portions were very generous. Well worth a visit.

Not had Chinese for many years, as usually go for Indian. Was expecting "OK" but very surprised at the flavours, & quantities, of the food. Beautiful dishes & will be going back again soon.

I drive over from Wotton Under Edge to get my Chinese from here - worth the journey! We haven't found anything on the menu that we didn't like. Regular favourites: Crispy Aromatic Duck, Lemon Chicken, Sweet & Sour Chicken Balls, House Special Chow Mein, Beef with Green Pepper & Black Bean Sauce, King Prawn With Ginger & Spring Onion........I could keep going!

We regularly use Kings Garden and enjoy consistently good food. There is a varied menu and the takeaway food is served piping hot.

Happy to report that the Thai green curry was full of flavour and had some kick. Everything else was tasty and fresh. Fast service and hot hot food!

Ordered a chicken rice dish. Substantial quantity but disappointing as bland and tasteless. Was well satisfied on a previous occasion so maybe the problem was my choice of dish. Will try something else next time.

Ordered a number of dishes, but all were tasteless, where is the ginger, garlic and chilli? Very expensive too. Haven't been back. Prefer the China Garden at Whitminster where the food is authentic.

I ordered chicken and mixed vegetable and to be fair that's exactly what I got but it had no taste. For me it needed a better sauce to give it some real taste.

Glad the takeaway is open after holiday. By far the best Chinese in Dursley. Always a good, delicious feed.

All that you want from a takeaway, good quality food and quick service. Not as cheap as some but I'm happy to pay for better food.
