Kings Fry in Teignbridge

We have been going to kings fry for years and the food is great but the fans in there are disgusting and dirty and there is an atmosphere in there is strange. The young fryer is not very happy they seem to be having family arguments all the time. The cloths they are wearing are dirty and should be changed everyday. If the food hygiene people saw this they would get closed down. Never going there again.

Loved the variety they had to offer, battered black pudding and spam fritters, delightful. Chips were lovely and good quantity, the service was fast and efficient and polite, curry sauce was awesome. Will definately use again once I've reduced my waist line after tonight

Shockingly poor quality of chips!!! Ridiculously small portion!!! With a HAIR in it!! Phoned to explain I’ll return for a refund to be advised that wouldn’t be possible that night because the manager wasn’t around but can replace the chips .... errrrr no thanks!!! £4.50 for large chips n curry sauce... Large chips on a tray approx 6”x4” literally insulting!!!! PHOTO ATTACHED ... definitely one to avoid!!

Could do better! Unlikely to go again unless starving, friendly staff though. Never been great but the quality is just not there, does not help it is still served in paper so time you get home its soggy. Get the boxes! People will pay the extra 10p

Stopped for fish and chips after driving back from relatives. Very dissappointed, chips were warm bordering cold, fish not too hot, battered sausage ok, just cooked! Rang up to complain about the chips, virtually called a liar that all the chips they served were hot! If I had been in a restaurant I would have sent it back . Very expensive for second class service and food.

Even I can admit it is a bit expensive but I can assure u it is a very good standard of chip shop and the standards are set high there as I’ve worked there myself! All these bad complaints I don’t understand as the cooking is of very good standard and the chip shop is rated 5 stars out of 5 for hygiene! This gets my recommendation and more! Yummy

Average chippy. Chips were a mixture of cooked and undercooked chips, nice fish, nice sausage batter little bit too greasy but nothing major. Food is overpriced. Ladies working seem over run and could do with some help.

As we were staying locally we asked friends close by for a fish and chip shop. Without exception 8 of them recommended Kings. I'll give them their due they were all spot on as we're the fish and chips!!! We had 2 fish and a portion of chips, with Irish???? Curry sauce. The meal was grand, no fat and grease on the paper and the chips really well cooked and good size portions to. As for the curry sauce, that had a 50% success rate, management found it too spicy for her but I loved it. Far better than the yellow goo served by many places. Good value for money. We will join with the 8 recommendations and make it a TEN.

£4.25 for a fishcake and small chips, they are having a laugh. Thought id missheard her. Wasnt even that nice.

I Visited the Ley Lane Fish & Chip Shop for lunch today. I ordered Cod & Chips with a Curry sauce. It all looked very nice until I opened the paper and I was about the start eating my fish and chips to be greeted by a small black hair which looked like a eyelash. After removing this I tried to put this thought to the back of my mind as I wanted to enjoy my fish & chip lunch...I was then half way through my cod and found another small black hair. That was then end of my fish & chip lunch I couldn't eat anymore the thought of finding hairs in my meal made me feel sick... I haven't used this Fish & Chip Shop for a while and after this experience I will never be returning. Nor recommending it to anyone. The lady who served me in the Fish & Chip Shop had long dark hair...so I hate to think where these small dark hairs came from!!!!!

Good food, good service reasonable prices for the area. Not really anything else needed. Very impressed that now has parking spaces.

Service was poor and slow considering we only had sausage with chips twice which wasn't very nice. Have only been the once and sadly won't return.

Very nice takeaway. Always clean and friendly staff. Huge variety of food always cooked how u like it.

This takeaway is a great place to get not only traditional fish and chips but a range of food including burgers, pies and nuggets. Dependable and great prices. The staff are always friendly and chatty. The fact that they take card payments is really helpful for those of us who never have enough cash on them. Often crispy chips cooked to perfection. Keep up the good work 😊
