Nice pub bit dated but good selection drinks staff very pleasant toilets were clean an loo roll too bonus didn't eat so wouldn't know went on karaoke 😀

Great quiz nights, amazing karaoke, and great value Sunday roasts. This pub is so friendly and the landlord works to keep out people that would ever cause that friendliness to be disturbed.

Always enjoy my visit here, bar staff, Lynn, is always friendly and the drinks are reasonably priced. Locals are nice, some funnier than others but hey it's a pub. We will call again.

I have said this before but I can not rate this pub high enough. Brilliant staff and locals that make you feel welcome. have been back quite a few times since my first review and have enjoyed every minute. They have a great selection of drinks even catering to non-drinkers with a selection of non-alcoholic options. Will definitely come back here many times in the future 👍👍👍

Visited the kings arms 14th October with my wife and another couple, went specifically for the karaoke. Really enjoyed the evening, locals were friendly and warming, danced to the singers. made to feel very welcome. Will be coming back first chance.

Excellent place , went along a few weeks ago as wanted somewhere with a bit of life /live entertainment and it happened to have karaoke on . Was a little odd as a solo traveller/visitor to start with but a friend from years gone by joined me . From then on part of the local community . Went again twice weekend just gone very warm welcome from staff and locals alike and also the karaoke DJ plus importantly on each visit the landlord took time to say hello and also on leaving have a friendly chat inviting back next time I am in the area . A deffo go to pub for me when in the Horbury area. To note I didn’t eat there hence mid range on the food points

The kings Arms is situated in the pretty village of Horbury. The entrance is via steps or ramp so accessible for wheelchair uses. Its an olde-worlde pub with a welcoming long bar containing an array of varying drinks. Friday has the creativite Jonathon on Karaoke. I was amazed at the talent on offer no screechy voices here! The ambience of low lighting, music & chatter was laid back & most enjoyable to experience. Great little place with options to play pool & partake in a number of gastronomical delights.

I went down to the kings with a few friends for some pints of the lovely ales they have on offer. We were welcomed with open arms by the young man behind the bar with the ginger hair. It has a great atmosphere where anyone all ages could have a laugh and enjoy themselves, can’t recommend enough.

Owner very rude would hilghy recommend the cherry tree or bar 42 does amazing cocktails ... after you reply re edit You was letting 3 women out when i was speaking to you so been full does not realpy apply does it pal and the fact you let your mate in who decided to tell me is bar staff that gent was speaking to use outside before you came and never mention that ... the fact of the matter is i was visiting from spain a freinds 36th birthday which was runied my evening and try to palm me off with lies after the fact .....

Been going to this pub 15 years and back visiting from spain a friemds 36th birthday the owner shut the doors at 10.55 for lock in and when would not let me join my friends treating me like sum drunk when dealing with me ... i would not recommend this establishment anymore highly rude explaning that two many people on site while also letting people leave .

Owner makes his own rules up during lock in hours travel to a birthday and refused entrance due to drunk when the driving non drinker very confused would not recommend this pud avoid

Great pub. Staff and customers made my friends and I feel really welcome when we called in for a drink last week. Ended up staying till closing time. Prices very competitive against other pubs in the area. Would highly recommend.

Very friendly pub , staff attentive and a warm pleasant atmosphere. Great quiz every Thursday evening 8pm and popular karaoke Friday and Saturday evenings . Sunday roast dinners are excellent value especially the ‘small’ plate deal . Recommend

Great pub to hang out on your own or with friends. Friendly staff and customers, good prices and the food is excellent. A good feed that doesn't break the bank. Would recommend to anyone who enjoys a traditional local.

Very welcoming warm atmosphere food is wonderful and cooked to order

Not the best experience from this place. We went in here after work and was made to feel quite unwelcome. Didn't have any non alcoholic lager's or beers and not really any other choice of drinks I had been told it was a good place to go. We sat outside and left promptly soon after. I will try again as I always give places a second time to see if anything is different. If I have a better experience I will change my rating as I keep them updated. 2 stars rather than one as the drinks were ok and served cold. After speaking to the owner who was quite friendly and approachable I'm happy to lift to review to 3 stars as a act of good faith and we will visit again soon. A local family friendly pub located in the village of Horbury. Traditional ales, ciders, lagers and many more various drinks options available with non alcoholic beers and lagers also to choose from. Really friendly atmosphere with regular customers making people feel very welcome. Food is served throughout the week as well as a traditional Sunday Roast at the weekend. And the quality and price cannot be beaten. Really nicely cooked and biggest Yorkshire’s around with lashings of gravy. Well worth a visit but best to book for the Sunday Roast as it gets busy.

What can I say , freshly home cooked locally sourced ingredients , the best homemade Yorkshire pudding I’ve ever had, the gravy could be a meal in itself , this really is a delicious Sunday lunch and amazing value . The kings is a lovely family run local pub , friendly staff and great atmosphere . I would highly recommend , book yourself in 🥰

We came in today I had a small plate for £3.50! Can not go wrong! Meat, Yorkshire, roasties, mash, mash turnip, cabbage and purple cabbage along with crackling and a gravy boat! The money was nothing compared to the time/effort and the taste was amazing we will be back!

Never fails this place for a competitive Sunday Roast. Kev the chef, is brilliant at serving quality and quantity something you don't get so much of these days. The food there is soooo good, and the service is fast and attentive.

Overall a great pub with top food. Dog friendly & amazing atmosphere karaoke night was amazing and will definitely be returning. Staff are very polite & professional. The landlady & landlord are lovely people to talk to and have a laugh with.

had Suday lunch here today the young lady behind the bar was really lovely and welcoming even though we were 10 mins late explained the 3 sizes of lunch and the meats usually I have to ask if they do smaller lunches, the meal it's self was really enjoyable lovely crisp roasties and the gravy was really tasty will certainly be returning.

Well run pub with a great atmosphere, friendly staff and welcoming Landlord and Landlady. Brilliant all round eating and drinking public house just like a pub should be.

Ok but some of the punters have definitely taken something before entering this premise,the woman sat at the side of me stunk of marijuana and was off her head, only my third visit so hoping next time is better but apart from that a fun pub.

I'd say cheap and chearful . . only a double gin cost me 6 quid and that was on offer so we'll just go with cheerful🙈
