Another great experience here, food outstanding as usual... So consistency; which is what we're looking for. Highly recommend.

I took my elderly Mum for a meal at Minel. I have to say it is probably the best restaurant I have visited for a while. The service was outstanding, the food was absolutely stunning and the staff were really helpful and friendly. Thank you, I will be back.

Well this was a nice gem I went to Turkey and really like the country and food so took my mum here.We were seated away from other side of the resturant which suited my mum as she’s a very private person so perfect window seat. The food was lovely service lovely manager was a little distant but everyone’s hospitality is different. The mocktail delicious. They catered for my cappuccino I wanted vanilla and it was delicious the dessert menu was great but we had no room after starters and main. Definitely worth a second visit. Toilets were very clean too!!

Absolutely brilliant. Food fantastic, service excellent and even a saxophonist! 2 for 1 on cocktails was a bonus too! Highly recommend!

We visited twice during our stay in Meophan. The food was always tasty, fresh and beautifully presented. Many thanks also to the friendly and excellent staff.

Fried lamb neck pieces (I think) were very tough, small and greasy and the staff tried to justify it by saying it came from the neck. Pud was good though.

This was my first visit to this restaurant. The staff were very friendly and helpful. There was a great choice of food. All the food we had was of very good quality , was well cooked and tasted really delicious. I will definitely be going back for another visit!

Booked for four on a Saturday evening and glad we had as there were two private parties booked in the two separate dining areas which did slow the service in the main restaurant area. We were also seated under one of the speakers for the music system and despite asking for it to be turned down we could hardly hear ourselves speak the whole evening. Unfortunately, this did make the evening less enjoyable than it could have been. However, the menu is quite extensive and varied and we all agreed the quality, standard of the food was all excellent and it was all very tasty. Would I return, probably, but I would ensure there were no private parties that night.

Birthday meal on a Sunday afternoon 4 adults and 2 children we received fantastic service and the staff made us feel really special, great drinks cocktails,mocktails and beer ,starters and main courses were out of this world can’t wait to return.

The takeaway from Minels was fantastic. You can order from the menu & the takeaway was the same as if you was eating in. Excellent food & service.

Lovely food and service however the music inside the place is extremely loud and you can barely hear yourself talk let alone hear the person sat next to you!!

We had an excellent lunch today (21/3) to celebrate a birthday. Food was so delicious and we all had the Two Courses plus of course Desserts! Service as usual was excellent and the staff were so nice and friendly. They came out our desserts with a giant sparkler for our birthday girl and sang happy birthday. We had a great time and the restaurant is so comfortable and very reasonably priced. Excellent on our second visit. We’ll be back very soon. ✅

Went to Minel with my 93yr old mum and my husband. What a lovely evening. The staff were friendly, helpful and professional and attentive. The food was amazing, beautifully presented and very tasty. Fabulous meal. Thoroughly recommended. Huge choice. Portion size is incredible. Even a fussy eater was catered for. . Will defiantly visit again.

We heard good things about this restaurant so thought we would give it a try. Our table was for 4pm and when we arrived it was absolutely carnage. The staff seemed very overwhelmed and didn’t have a clue what was going on and our table wasn’t ready. The queue was outside the door. Finally once we was seated around 4.20 we ordered our drinks. 1 coke and 1 Guinness which took half hour to come out. When we went to order our food we was told they had stopped doing starters. This was not mentioned to us as we arrived. So we was disappointed by this. So we went straight to ordering our mains. I must say the main dishes was delicious but when it come to ordering dessert they said to us they are no longer serving desserts either. This totally ruined our meal and if this was mentioned to us as we was being seated we would have just gone straight back home. I understand working in a restaurant on an occasion like Mother’s Day must be very busy and stressful but you would know from how many bookings you have taken to know how much food you should order in for a busy day like Mother’s Day. We was really looking forward to trying Minel for the first time as we heard good things but after this experience we will not be returning.

We went for lunch with friends,very nice surrounding,very happy and helpful staff, and the food was freshly cooked and good value for money, we will be going back!!

Disappointed! After hearing rave reviews my friends and I decided we must try. We decided to skip starters and go straight for a main meal. One friend ordered an item from the grill, two of us opted for the klefico which is a favourite for both of us. The meal arrived quickly and how Disappointed where the two of us who ordered kleftico. Our friend who ordered from the grill was served a delicious meal whereas ours was totally underwhelming. The lamb shank was on a bed of mash which was so sloppy that it disappeared into the gravy, we had to ask for a spoon to eat it. The lamb shank itself didn't taste like kleftico, in fact it didn't really taste of much at all. Thank goodness for the complimentary fla bread and dips which I used to liven up the dish. We both had food envy. Maybe we just ordered the wrong dish but in my opinion all dishes on the menu should be of the same standard. My tip is DON'T order kleftico

we had 2 waitresses for our table but both could not provide drinks when requested all throughout the meal. had to ask 3 times for my drinks which didn't arrive so had to go to the bar and order it myself. you know when you need a drink after and during eating? well i had to wait for 30 mins at this point which is not normal. when we ordered drinks they didn't write it down so they immediately forgot the order and carried on serving another table. MINEL MEZE need more staff with either pens and paper or ipad.

We had our Ladies lunch here and what a lunch. We had the two courses for just £13. It was delicious. Absolutely excellent service, very friendly staff and the desserts were to die for.

First time trying this restaurant after hearing mixed reviews from friends. The menu is varied and there are lots of choices. The service was a bit hit and miss. The waiter asked if we would like a jug of water for the table. It didnt arrive with the other drinks we ordered and I had to ask twice more before it eventually arrived. The food was good but nothing special for the price we paid. Unfortunately one of the meals we ordered was dry and my friend didnt eat it. I told the waitress as she cleared the plates (I would have told her earlier but didnt realise my friend hadnt eaten it). The waitress came back and said the chef had actually forgotten to put the sauce on the food (I think it was the COBAN KAVURMA). She said she would take it off the price of the meal. Im not sure she did as we got a discount off the price because one of our party knew the owner and he apparently discounted the bill as a friendly gesture so I dont think the meal was taken off. The restaurant is pleasant. We did ask for the music to be turned down as it was quite loud. Not sure we would rush to go back. Their other restaurant in gravesend is a better - not as nicely decorated as Meopham but good food

Food very good. Service good. We went early and there was a mix of couples and families with young children. The restaurant should consider seating these groups in the different areas of the restaurant as for a couple dining the children were a bit noisy

We celebrated my husbands birthday here. A lovely restaurant. The food was delicious, and the menu was extremely varied. The waitresses were attentive, and looked after us, and the packed restaurant so well. We had drinks up at the bar before our meal, and after. The barman was superb. He ran the bar splendidly. Can't wait to visit again.

Very average, would not recommend. Food is just okay but not worth the cost. Save your money and go across the road to the cricketers.

Good food. Liver was perfect. Liver is not everyone's choice but I love it and it was beautifully cooked. Monkfish was just delightful. Nice wine, bread was hot and fresh, Tiramisu was so-so. Iskender Kebab described as 'chunks of lamb' but anyone who's been to Turkey knows that this dish is a SLICED lamb dish, grilled horizontally rather than the traditional, vertical Doner Kebab and it served with melted butter. A bit of an error there... Also, £130 for lunch for two is quite pricey. Could do better. Young waiter was very polite and friendly. Older guy was not. He didn't seem happy to be there. Also not Turkish.

Loved the updated rebrand. Comfortable seating, modern bar, pleasant staff. Given bread and Dips pre ordering which is always a nice touch. Large choice of dishes. The meze starters very good and ample quantity. Did not like the bland rice or loud speaker in my ear. To be fair the volume was lowered when requested. Definitely worth a try, nice to have another choice of restaurant in Meopham.

What a shambles this place now is. Rebranded as a meze grill. Very average meat, dreadful pasta and shocking service. Would 100% avoid.

The Kings Arms has been rebranded as Minel. It’s a Mediterranean restaurant, rather than a pub now, but it’s well worth a visit. The food is amazing! We had the liver and the spiced sausage to start. Amazing flavour and really good combinations on the plate. For mains we had steak and the chargrilled king prawns. All really well cooked and masses of flavour. The steak was really tender and the prawns were really tasty. To finish we had the chocolate fudge cake, which was a generous portion and baklava. The baklava was really good. And the cocktails…a huge choice, and the ones we had were delicious. The staff were all friendly and couldn’t do enough. Really great dining experience. Well worth a visit.

Just a matter of time before this place is under new management the current manger isn’t cut out to run a tap let alone a pub or restaurant!!! If you enjoy raw food, hoodie wearing waitresses and hearing the word C**T echoing around the building then you’re in the right place. Don’t get excited about your meal a 3 year old could do a better job and don’t even think about ordering a desert as they won’t arrive at all. Even if it is all pre ordered and written down! Remember your coat as the annex is as cold as the service.

Tonight’s visit to the Kings Arm for a celebratory meal was a terrible disappointment. We were a large mixed group of 14 individuals - family and friends. We were seated in an annexed room to the side of the pub, which had single glazing and was absolutely freezing. Many of us kept our coats on. The service was slow, starters and main courses turned up at random times and one of the chicken starters was served undercooked (raw inside). The service from the staff was sloppy and inconsiderate. The head of our party tried to discuss the poor service at the end of the meal with the manager, who reacted in a passive aggressive and rude manner. The managers exact words to our host were “you must suffer with short man syndrome”. If you fancy an expensive night out, with poor food and terrible service then visit the Kings Arms, otherwise choose one of the other excellent pubs and restaurants in Meopham.

It was a wet miserable night in Meopham and walked into Kings Arms...cheered us up completely. Lovely food Haddock, poached egg mash and French beans. Live music too. Staff so nice.

We had a roast beef which was beautifully cooked and we were given the choice of medium or well done. We chose the former and it was absolutely delicious. It was served with a full flavoured gravy with a bowl of vegetables which comprised spring greens and swede accompanied with home made horseradish. The roast potatoes were cooked in goose fat and were suitably crunchy. The food was so good and you could tell everything was cooked in house. There were fresh flowers on the table and the staff all seem so happy and welcoming. The deserts were of high standard too and I had the sticky toffee pudding which is one my specialities but this far surpassed mine. A moist sponge drenched in a toffee sauce with vanilla infused ice cream. A very pretty pub which has recently changed hands; think I can sense a move to Meopham coming soon.

Passing by thought we’d pop in for a quick lunch. Staff very welcoming and friendly. Ordered a fish and chips and a haddock fish cake and a dressed salad. All arrived hot and tasty.

Booked in for a family meet up in what used to be our local. We ordered a variety from the menu, burgers, chicken and a superfood salad and. All of us were extremely pleased with the quality and personal approach to customer care. Well done guys! New management is drawing us back :)

A group of us had an evening at the Kings Arms last night. What an absolutely fantastic evening. The food was excellent. Perfect variety on the menu. Something for everyone. The quality and standard was extremely high. Service was great and staff welcoming and friendly. Plenty to eat and drink……laughter and smiles with good friends…….simply nothing better. Five of us spent a wonderful evening together and at the end of it…..pleasantly surprised at how reasonable the bill was. You can definitely tell John is back in town…….would highly recommend to all……..certainly worth the five stars.

Just returned from the Kings Arms where we enjoyed the most delicious roast dinner.We thought it would be hard to beat our regular pub ‘the Spitfire’s’ Sunday roast but this was exceptional.The veg was cooked perfectly, delicious cauliflower cheese and tasty meat. We didn’t need and salt and pepper as it was all perfectly seasoned.The starter was tasty.Friendly staff too.Only negative comment …..we were put into the back room and it had no atmosphere and we were unable to ‘people watch’ and felt quite cut off which was a disappointment but we were also not told there was a specials until we overheard the manager telling another guest, …….I would have had the scallops!Having said that I would definately ask for a seat in the bar area when booking next time and we will be back with friends too!Lovely

We wanted a meal out of London ( Greenwich) but not too far so I thought I would try the Kings Arms in Meopham , it’s only a 40min drive , a great choice in the end ! , as we walked in we were greeted by the Landlord I think , we were asked to sign in or scan the NHS log in , we had a choice of two tables we chose the one near the pizza oven , the young staff were very pleasant and efficient and dealt with our drinks order promptly but without the feeling we were being rushed like I’ve felt at other restaurants/pubs , I have to say all the food was excellent! It was well cooked and well presented and both my wife and I thought the whole meal was extremely good ! In fact it’s our anniversary in July and we’re already thinking of booking at The Kings Arms ….well done everyone!

We have visited the Kings Arms a good few times in the past. This was our first time since it has reopened under new management. The covid protocols were good, staff were friendly and it was a pleasant atmosphere but we were a bit disappointed with the food and lack of availability of some drinks. The starter menu was not very attractive. My husband had whitebait but there was very little of it. I resorted to bread and olives as there was nothing else I wanted. The olives were lovely but there wasn’t enough oil and the balsamic was congealed in the bottom of the tiny dish so half way through I was left with just dry bread. We ordered the pork loin, which itself was lovely but the potato it came with was just a hard bland lump on the plate and we played spot the vegetable for a couple of tiny carrot strips and a bit of tasteless pureed something under the pork. The apple crumble was amazing though! We ordered a cocktail from the menu, only to be told they didn’t have it. My husband wanted a draft bitter but again, they didn’t have anything. My husband asked for a glass of remy after dinner and had to repeat himself several times as the waitress didn’t seem to have a clue what he was talking about and then they didn’t have any anyway. Overall, it wasn’t terrible but it wasn’t amazing either.

The message above from Trip Advisor says The Kings Arms is closed until June but it isn’t... We called on a Thursday evening and managed to get a booking. Asked for a starter which wasn’t on the menu and they brilliant waiting staff asked the chef who made it for us- and it was delicious! The whole meal was brilliant and the staff couldn’t do more for us. Would recommend 100% and will certainly be going back!

We visited for the first time this week for lunch. It felt very Covid-safe and the pizza we had was amazing! Very tasty and the service was very attentive. Would definitely return.

Met my daughter in law as they had visited for Sunday lunch last week. It was lovely evening, staff were friendly. Honestly cannot fault the food.Shared the Camembert starter between us and the bread was delicious crunchy top just perfect french bread. Mains were delicious too. Sauce that wasn’t for decoration but to be enjoyed with every mouthful. I had sea bass my daughter-in-law had the risotto. We enjoyed it so much that we had dessert! Bang goes diet mid week!So glad we did! Thinking of booking Sunday lunch this weekend! Thank you to all staff and the chef great! Well done!

First time at this pub. The staff were extremely friendly and polite and provided excellent service. The food was great and would just like to say heir Covid practice was exceptional.

The Kings Arms is a lovely old pub set on the village green in Meopham. It has been recently renovated but retains a warm and comfortable ambience. We were warmly greeted by Katie, daughter-in-law of the owner, Roy Allen. She looked after us in a warm and friendly way and our meal was delicious. We enjoyed a wonderful evening and will definitely be back.

Really didn't do it for us. Just reading the menu we should have left. The burger was dry and the meat very compact. A pity because we were celebrating a birthday and going out is a bit of a treat at the moment. 5 stars for the covid 19 protocol which was excellent.

We had lunch here during the week. It was very laid back. Staff were lovely, nothing was too much trouble. The food was good. If I have any criticism I would have liked more of a lunch menu as apposed to what looked like a evening menu. I would have like fish and chips and Lasangue on there but that's just my view. Its well worth a visit. We will certainly be back.

The staff were all lovely and the pub nicely appointed. The food was good quality and tasty BUT... Just to put this into context I have eaten in some incredibly over priced Michelin star restaurants - I never complain about price! This is the first time I have ever thought somewhere was overpriced for what you got. The portions were very small, unreasonably so. Stick a couple of quid on the price if needs be and serve a decent amount of meat orFish. The quality is great and I think that with a few tweaks this place could be amazing. Just charge a little more and give better portions so that the profit is still there. Would I go back - probably

Too loud man, too loud!If, like me, you were a child in the 1960's you might recall a stop-frame animation of the banana-boat song made famous by Harry Belafonte, in which Bugs Bunny complains about the singing volume of Speedy Gonzales. That was how I felt during my first visit to The King's Arms since it re-opened. All was well at first until they brought out a boom-box that started blasting loud music at a level that made conversation around the table impossible. It combined tooth-jarring treble with vision-blurring bass. Thankfully, the smart and witty barman/waiter turned it down to a more suitable level when requested. It was still annoying and unnecessary, but at least conversation could be had again. Unfortunately, soon after finishing the main course, the young manageress turned it up even louder than before. Now, I have been to a few places where, due to youthful exuberance, the young staff turn the volume up a bit high, but I have never been to one where the manageress refused to turn it down on request. Bizarrely, this is what happened. There was no apology, no attempt to compromise and no offer of a quieter seat around the corner. Her attitude was simply 'like it or lump it'. Since conversation with my friends was now impossible again, I paid for what I'd had and voted with my feet before the dessert course arrived. As I walked home, with the ringing in my ears gradually subsiding, I pondered on the huge, gaping niche in the Meopham restaurant market for a place where one can enjoy good food, washed down with real ales, whilst engaging in conversation, without shouting yourself hoarse into the ear of the person next to you.

First time at The Kings Arms and what a pleasant surprise! The decor and ambience is very relaxing, welcoming and clean. The staff were very welcoming and polite but at the point we left with a full restaurant only 2 of them seemed to be delaying service.The food was delicious, all 7 members of the family enjoyed their courses and for me the sea bass was the star of the show! The children’s food was very good and it was reasonably priced too.We will definitely return for a Sunday roast or a date night!

Great food and service throughout and prices reasonable. Only drawback was the proximity to bar area where we had masses of people tightly squeezed in against our table (including people resting on back of our chairs) and staring at us eating gormlessly.

Has been closed for a while now reopen excellent lunch menu l had sea bass which was very good with a sauce which included mussels my husband had belly of pork with black pudding. Food more like a restaurant then pub food. Didn’t try the wines decent draught beers (Harvey’s and London pride.)

Visited The kings Arms meopham yesterday for Sunday lunch ..... had an absolutely gorgeous whipped goats cheese salad for starter which was of top restaurant standard , so many flavours in it !, then a delicious veggie nut roast , which again was full of flavours ... I asked if it was bought in because of the amazing quality and flavours in it , but it was made fresh on the premises .... as a veggie it’s great to find a pub that caters well for vegetarians, and I will most definitely be returning for a Sunday roast !... their was also a good selection of alternative options on menu for vegetarians, including a jackfruit burger and homemade veggie shepherds pie ! Well done The kings Arms !

Drove over an hour to eat at the restaurant, the food was amazing and well worth the travel. The staff are attentive and very friendly. My friend asked for chicken rather than turkey and the manager happily exchanged.

We had Sunday lunch today and it was excellent. The food was delicious and good quality and the service delightful.

My friend and I went along to support the opening of the pub. There is still ongoing refurbishment, but the main pub area is open and very busy. We both had the Sea Bass with a mussel sauce and it was delicious. The service was excellent and the staff friendly. Lovely atmosphere and look forward to seeing the rest of the refurbishment.

So the restaurant/pub is refurbished and being relaunched for food in the New Year! Meanwhile open lunchtimes for drinks only Sate your curiosity and imbibe to check out new decor! More to report after menu opens :)

We booked for dinner on a Saturday evening celebratory meal,our table was in the main restaurant, it was however impossible to have a conversation due to a group of men drinking at the bar, loud voices, bad language and homophobic comments. Meal was average with portions quite small and a much more condensed menu.

It had been a couple of years since our group had visited the Kings Arms, and so we booked for 12 of us for a Saturday evening. We had a table in the room to the right as you enter the restaurant which other than a couple of tables of two we had to ourselves. The menu had a good selection without being too big and there was a good choice of wines etc. Service was good with all the meals arriving within a few minutes of each other which when serving a table of twelve is no mean feat. There was a problem with an over cooked steak which was replaced but even on the second attempt was not exactly right and so its cost was removed from the bill. The food, other than the steak, was all excellent shown by 12 empty plates going back for washing. In the end no one could manage a desert. A lovely evening was had by all.

It is a long time since we have visited the Kings Arms but decided to for birthday celebrations. It was reasonably busy upon arrival but we were warmly greeted and shown our table.

We met here this Sunday for our grandsons christening celebration we arrived about 1300 and had asked for our preordered food for 1400 food arrived at 1500 after chasing - buffet came out first then about 20 minutes later two special orders of hot food (due to allergies) however we had two three year old children with our party and their food (which again was pre ordered )arrived at 1545 - why was the children's food not sent out first ? Very disappointed .. After the children had eaten we ordered ice cream for them 45 minutes later it arrived , just not good enough !

My good friend & I have been to the Kings Arms several times previously and it never disappoints.

I would recommend this place to anyone. The Food and service was outstanding, In a relaxing atmosphere.

Lovely meal. Tasty starters Cracking steak and home made chips. Really nice and friendly staff Nice selection of beers. Recommended.

Visited this restaurant last night . Seated in a room off the main bar which was totally devoid of any atmosphere . Menu very limited, mainly consists of burgers . Food very average considering the price, my husband ordered a side of onions rings which were disgusting as extremely greasy and inedible. Service was hit and miss. We tried to use our mobiles to call a taxi but no signal we asked for the wifi password but this didn't work when we advised the waiter he just said well that is the password. We asked if he could call us a taxi but he said no as if he did it for us he would have to do it for everyone !! Extremely unhelpful attitude especially as we had just spent £200 in there, I have never been to a restaurant where they have refused to ring a taxi for a customer.

Really lovely hot, Fresh, tasty food in lovely setting. Very friendly welcome and service. Highly recommended

We had the pleasure of booking the pub for our 60th , the whole experience was first class. From the moment we arrived , we were made to feel special, service and food excellent. Thank you Peter & Helen

Came here last minute for an anniversary celebration. Limited menu which is a good sign because you know it will all be fresh. Did not disappoint. Everything clearly cooked from scratch and a reasonable wait between courses. We had calamari and the prawn and crayfish bruschetta to start. Simple but sooooooo tasty. Chicken main was better than described. Partner had a lovely burger. All for a very reasonable price. Not to forget staff and service which was fantastic. We will return. Visited on a busy Saturday evening with family and had a fabulous meal. Staff were friendly and couldnt do enough for us, the food was tasty and reasonably priced along with the drinks. A generous selection of dishes including gluten free and vegetarian options for my fussy family! The Restaurant itself had a cosy, warm and welcoming atmosphere - will definitely be returning!

It's been a few years since coming back to the Kings Arms - one Sunday afternoon we found ourselves back in Kent (visiting Knole Park) and i suggested going back to London through Meopham just to enjoy the food here and were so glad we did. As it was just as good if not better.

We came to the Kings arms with 12 of the girls on a Saturday evening for a catch up. We had excellent service with the wine and prosecco flowing. The food was amazing, including the vegetarian options and thank you for accommodating for the one member of our party when it came to the gluten allergy, she was finally happy eating out!!
