Kings in Solihull

I wouldn’t even give this a 1 star, dreadful food, dried up old fish that’s been sitting all day and chips dry as a bone. Didn’t appear clean and when I threw my chips in the bin outside a big rat ran out, could be to do with all the rubbish at the side of the shop. Don’t waste your money plenty of good chip shops and takeaways in the area but this is certainly not one of them.

Where do I begin? First of all I was confused because I instantly thought I'd entered a morgue selling elderly body parts, the kebab resembled and old man's leg that had been in a road accident and been decaying since covid. There were a used condom on the floor which I nearly slipped over and broke my neck. I didn't buy anything but left £50 for them to invest I some domestos to clean the tops of the rancid sauce bottles. Dunno what the hype is, I'd rather eat the remains of maddelin mcanns death site.

I ordered fried rice and mixed meat. The only part that was Chinese was the container that the food came in… Mixed meat fried rice with no veg? Fried rice with no egg? Onions? Cut up steak? a small 9.50? Food was incredibly bland.. At this rate it would have been more beneficial to open my window and throw a tenner out because I also lost out on fuel to still be hungry. Guys dont go there for a chippy or a Chinese..

Kings has really great food & the customer service is great. The curry sauce is one of the best in West Midlands! I would recommend going here after a night out in solihull

asked for cod,as on menu it stated cod-cod/chips,,,was told 5 mins for"cod"waiteded an when arrived not cod,,taking to TS as also go a recipiet,,dadete an signed (must havd been at least 10)

Avoid this place at all costs they won’t deliver your food and they will charge top dollar. Managers will not answer the phone when you have not received your order.

found meat in a vegetarian meal and after complaining they were just completely rude to me and insistent that it was impossible to happen, even after providing evidence they ignored me.

Had chips and scallops today,it was the worst meal we have ever tasted ,scallops were hard btter was awful,chips were tasteless garbage will never eat here again it went straight in the bin ,stay clear of this place

Was visiting Solihull, on Saturday, the town was deserted, but Kings was OPEN! Excellent I thought, The guys couldn't of Been More helpful!! They cooked fresh cod, which was off the Chart! I live in Benllech on Anglesey, which has 3, Chip shop's, Not One of them can do fish like they did Saturday night!! had cheesy chips, would of rathered the cheese on top, but also tasty! We also had Chinese chicken & rice! No complaints!! Thanks The Guys at Kings, You made Two Welsh Kids very Happy, & Looked after.. Hopefully see you Soon xx

Always had really good service and nice food. Last night I was so disappointed. The delivery lady got my address wrong and then by the time my food arrived both mine and my partners kebab was cold, had to bin it as was unable to eat it. Really disappointed won’t be wasting my money again!

Had a delivery through Just Eat, good sized portions, good prices, arrived hot and on time quoted, happy.

So we had just watched the tele and saw about all of these posh places to go and saw about how Michelin star tyres award places. With a name like kings we accepted big things. my brother daquavus tried to book and said not essential. My assumption was that as he's high up at British Gas they might of heard of him so got added to priority list. We arrived to greeted by a drunk young hoodlum shouting about something called clunge and assaults outside and to kebab meat on sticks. We ordered and stood there for 5 minutes until we realised this lace isn't fit for kings and I WONT be bringing my sons here. Michelin man should come and slash these tyres.

had cod and chips this week, got home and the battered fish was tough and stale as though it had been kept warm for a couple of days. threw it straight in the bin after paying £8.00 stay away

Visited on many occasions to Kings. Always at lunchtime around 1 PM. The food is always lovely and the eat-in is presented very well. Would recommend!

Ive been working in Solihull for a few weeks now and there aren't that many cheap places to eat in the evening , and Mc Donalds is out of the question. I had chips with chicken kebab meat which was pretty good and did the job. The restaurant has s eating area which there is next charge for .

Good chippy, take away or eat in, I like the chicken kebab meat with chips just the job on a cold day. Fish is good here too.

Recently had a takeaway from Kings solihull, which arrived wrongly made, we ordered it through just eat.

This place should have some respect for itself and close at a normal time. I went in at about 2am and it was horiffic. Food was tereible, it wasnt the full menu available, and the place is full of spotty teenage drunk kids who think they have become rocky. They have a bouncer but he's as much use as a chocolate teapot. This place needs about 3 proper bouncers that actually want to stop trouble. I wont be going back. It was like prison food.

Chips and curry sauce to die for - so good I went there twice (on the same night). Does what is says on the tin - brilliantly.

Standards have really slipped at Kings. Have had a great chow mein from here in the past but had the worst cone of chips ever on Friday night. After queuing for ten mins I had to ask for a refund as the chips were disgusting and tasted like old fried chicken. As a vegetarian I was really disappointed and left feeling sick. The oil must have been days old, no pride in any food produced here. Owner seemed depressed and past caring. Real shame.

What I can’t stand is when places take advantage of people with a drink inside them by serving absolute garbage!!! Popped in for a pie and chips on Friday night and the pie was rock solid, inedible and wouldn’t serve it to a dog! Absolutely shocking in this day and age that places can get away with that!

This is where Chinese people should stick to their own food. Arguably the best people who cook fish and chips are the Greeks - believe it or not - there are more Greek owned and run chip shops in the UK than the Brits. As a metaphor - you should have Indian people making pizzas - you leave that to the Italians. This place has bad food and really bad service. No 'please' - no 'thank you' and all the staff need a major personality transplant.They need to understand that when a customer comes in, they should greet them with 'Hell' and 'How can I help you'I really hope that they read this and take constructive criticism - or in months to come they will possibly close shop - my rating 1/10 - and that's being generous

The main female server has the customer service levels of the grim reaper at a funeral procession. Needs to improve or I will not be back. What happened to service with a smile

Amazing transformation from what it looked like before yet somehow the food is still spot on!! 5 star hygiene rating too. Definitely worth a visit to check it out if you’ve not been before

Saturday evening and craving a kebab despite being totally sober. Shocking quality of food and well overpriced. How it stays open is beyond me.

Never a failure after a night out. Big up Teddy. Big menu, Chinese option also. Staff are sound as well to be honest.

I indulged after a night out in Solihull, when I purchased my food with a £20 I was given change for £10 - despite my protestations the owner refused to give me my correct money so a take away proved very expensive - to add insult to injury the food was shocking

Had a takeaway after a night out and still couldn’t eat it, I’ll normally eat anything. Food was tasteless and was that even chicken? I’m not sure. 85% went in the bin.. think I’ll stick to vending machine in the hotel next time..

Think they must survive on the late night crowd that need something but past caring what it is .possibly the worst take away I have ever had .uneadable .rude staff awfull food .wait to you get home or you will risk your tast buds .
