I have never been to Kingdom before and i just loved it. The warm welcoming atmosphere from the staff and the food was lovely which gave us stength for our walk which was wonderful with breath taking scenery even on a dull cloudy day with the Autumn colours so we will be back on a sunny day . I would certainly recommend Kingdom for everything they have to offer

Beautiful location with stunning views. Cafe/facilities clean and well laid out. That's where the good ends. We stayed for a coffee after parkrun. Drinks were reasonably priced with fresh fruit smoothies (mostly apple juice based) but cakes/pastries were excessively high - £6 for a slice of coffee cake! Wasn't tempted to look at other food given those prices. Not looking to return to the cafe for sure.

Such a great venue but totally spoilt by the poor & mostly inattentive staff. It’s also hugely overpriced, for a country cafe, I’d hesitate before recommending it to anyone.

I do love Kingdom as a setting and the food is good but boy is it expensive for what it is. One thin slice of chocolate fudge cake at £6.50! By my reckoning that slice was no more than 1/16th of a whole cake. That’s £200 a cake at one hell of a margin that just seems to be taking the mick. Price it more sensibly and we’d come moffen and eat more. Instead we just grab a coffee. On top of that, whenever we go no matter how busy, there always seems to be confusion behind the bar as to to who is doing what in terms of taking orders, paying, delivering to tables, making drinks, etc. Customers getting exposed to that while queues and waits form. Seems like there is a better system needed which ironically was a similar experience we had at their sister restaurant The Beacon the same weekend.

Lovely setting, inside is quite striking with its wood and twinkly lights, staff are polite and Banana Smoothies are amazing. Sadly that is where the joy ends. Went on a busy Saturday with all tables full so would expect a bit of a delay. Drinks came quite quickly, but food took ages and was a little disappointing, more could be done with presentation, even a tiny garnish might have helped. Having said that it tasted fine. Cutlery and glasses looked like they all needed a bit better cleaning.

Visited whilst the Kent artists were having their annual exhibition. Well laid out building with the top floor being used for the exhibition. The lower floor was the restaurant area. An unusual menu with no sandwiches which is usually the staple product for a café like this. Pleasant staff but serving was very slow. Didn’t manage to have a walk in the grounds as it was continuous rain while we were visiting.

Staff are lovely, food is excellent and the setting is beautiful. Great place for bite to eat or a coffee after a weekend walk with the family. I read a previous review from a French gentleman about arrogant and rude service (oh the irony) and suggest that you ignore it. The service is busy, because it is popular, but if you want a nice setting with good food and a warm welcome, Kingdom is a good choice.

Staff ruin this wonderful place. Upon arrival, one can’t help but be impressed, it’s visually breathtaking, I’m excited but immediately my bubble is burst when staff look down their nose at me when I ask, ten minutes before opening time, when they open. Unsurprisingly, they don’t listen to our order and can’t make the effort to well cook an egg as a friend of mine cannot bear runny eggs. My espresso is undrinkable so order and pay for a flat white but after prompting staff several times and a twenty minute wait give up and walk out. Nobody makes an effort to fulfill the order I paid for. Staff are arrogant and unfriendly, clearly reliant on wealthy staff who are happy to hang in a place that looks cool despite being treated like scum and having to eat mediocre overpriced food.

Visited Kingdom with Niece and Great Nephews aged 1 and 3 and has a super visit. Lovely walk around the whole fitness trail in the glorious sunshine picking blackberries and watching the planes fly overhead. Lots of walkers with children and dogs….saw some Yoga activity, saw a new sauna and plunge pool set up, saw a lovely external wedding venue being set up for the weekend. Great restaurant set up for children and dogs, lovely helpful staff and lovely menu. Options to sit outside in the sun or in a large open airy inside. Great food, the Boys had homemade baked beans on sourdough toast, and the adults had avocado and fried egg on toast with add on smoked salmon and halloumi and chorizo hash. Both delicious. Lovely location for brunch / lunch in the glorious Kent countryside. Great location for kids and dogs. Highly recommend.

I've visited here multiple times, and the staff are helpful and attentive, the surrounds are beautiful. However, it is rather expensive for what you receive. The portions are small, and today I ordered avacado with eggs on toast for £9.50. You receive ONE tiny egg (which is fried so it's deliberately spread out to look deceptively larger than what it is), with barely a quarter of a small avacado. It looks meagre and pathetic on the plate... The least they could do is serve 2 eggs. It's a shame, as the setting is gorgeous.

Awful choice of food for somewhere that with its yoga etc promotes health, the only food options were bacon\sausage bap, hash browns, beans on toast, mushrooms on toast, avacado & egg on toast. Food was nice but came on large trays which only highlighted small portions and lacking garnish and extras. Beautiful setting but table was dirty, staff were ok but no oomph about them. Had ran out of sauce and toasties. Prices were high end of average considering the actual offering it wasn’t good value. But the real reason I wouldn’t go back? £4 for a can of fizzy drink. Is absolutely diabolical and quite frankly greedy and disgusting. £4 for one small can of coke? Haven’t even paid that where I work in London. There is an air of arrogance. It has huge potential but it’s just lacking something.

But, dearie me, the breakfast! At £13.70, far too expensive for what it was: Just one egg Small slice unbuttered toast Two 4" strips of streaky bacon - the first time I have ever put salt on bacon, it had no flavour at all somehow One sausage - nice Disc of black pudding - pleasant enough Virtually inedible baked beans. Some bright spark has decided home made is the way forward, crunchy beans, al dente has nothing on these, in a pretty indifferent sauce. Extras were £2 a throw This was a miserly plate with quality ranging from acceptable to abyssmal for too much money. Some things on the menu may be better at brunch time - sausage and egg roll perhaps- a mere £8 plus. It is a lovely spot in the countryside with decent outside seating for a warm day. The cake looked lovely, maybe tea and cake in the afternoon would generate better reviews. It is just a shame that the owner has obviously deluded themselves into thinking that their hot food offer is actually good!

I had a couple of hours to kill while on business in Sevenoaks, and fancied an all day breakfast. I googled and found this little place off the beaten track (didn't want to pay for parking!). Really tasty full English breakfast and a good cup of coffee, and ever so great value at £8.00. Maybe not the greatest venue, but definitely worth it for the food.

I’ve been going to this cafe on and off for 10 years. I have to say my experience has gone downhill since Covid. My recent visit has been very disappointing . I ordered a Spinach and Mushroom Quiche with salads. First of all, the Quiche was still frozen in the middle. Secondly, I didn’t even have time to argue because my daughter has been stung by a wasp. Totally understood this is normal in warm weather but the Cafe’s reaction has been shocking. I went to the counter to ask for some ice. It took at least 5 mins for the waiter to get it despite I can see a bag of ice lying on the table with 1 waitress standing next to it chatting to another lady. I asked can someone just give me the ice as my daughter is crying in pain. I was told someone has gone to get first aid and they can’t “just give me the ice”. After another 5 mins, the first aid has finally showed up. After asking what happened, his words are: oh…..I’m afraid there is not much I can do. I said can you grab me some ice please? It is at that point we finally got the ice!!! I washed my daughter’s wound with some soapy water after a quick google on what to do. I’m not a fully qualified first aid by no means. The cafe has an outside sitting area and wasp sting would be very common. Pleas train your staff on what to do or get some wasps trap like Polhill did. Very disappointing and I would have to end my visit after 10 years. Service standard has gone down too. Most of them look like they don’t want to work there and have a terrible attitude.

Add coffees before we went around the house and there were plenty of tables both inside and outside. Having visited the house we then went back for some lunch and had a variety of items from the menu. All items were very tasty and well presented. The staff on the counters were fine. They could’ve been a bit more efficient doing hot drinks when there was a big queue, else food and service was really good.
