After an hour wait, it was the worst Chinese take away we have ever had :( Tasteless. Used to be really good. So disappointing. We will not use King Wah again.

Used this establishment a couple of times now for takeaway and it’s a great quality standard of food. It’s a very busy shop so that is really encouraging too. Really good prices and friendly staff. Highly recommended

Oh Dear KIng Wah. 35 years man & boy I’ve been going here. Mike retires (again) and it goes pear shaped. Singapore chow mein meant to be spicy. Tastes of nothing. Always had prawn crackers thrown in for years. Charged £2.50 now! Really King Wah? Bite into spring rolls and stone cold in the middle.. You need to treat your customers the way they have always been treated. I now have to find another Chinese. Such a shame!! ☹️☹️

Disappointed by the food on this visit. Chicken was dry, batter was greasy, vegetable chow mein lacked vegetables. Will be looking for an alternative Chinese takeaway.

Had the taste and texture of an overcooked microwave meal.

The food has no taste at all, the curry sauce was badly packed and spilled everywhere. The customer service was appalling. Really bad Chinese.

Curry sauce was squished inside the bag and split all over the other food, kung po was tasteless and bland. Other chicken was dry. All round the most disappointing takeout Ive ever had! Worse when calling to complain I was told that 'are you a regular with us' and I replied that I was not, the owner replied 'well there you go, we all do it differently'. No apology, no refund. Terrible customer service

Living fairly local I have tried several Chinese takeaways in the Kidderminster and Bewdley areas and in my opinion King Wah is the best one I have tried so far. I have been in several times and each time the service has been very good with food to match. Usually busy which tells you something !! Give them a try !

Lovely Chinese takeaway. Everything was delicious, piping hot, and we had some chicken wings and prawn crackers for free. Super reasonably priced too. We will definitely be back!!

Absolutely appalling . I didn`t even get to order my meal as I walked out without ordering. On entering the person behind the counter was taking an order on the phone. No issues as this is to be expected. Telephone conversation finishes with no acknowledgement to me. Phone rings and he answers this and again takes another order. Telephone conversation finishes again with no acknowledgment to me. Phone rings again almost immediately and again answers the phone. Am I even there???????? I didn`t even get to order and took my custom elsewhere. If this is the service you give then I wouldn`t be surprised if lots of others do exactly the same.

First time visiting this takeaway as our ‘usual ‘ was closed tonight ( bank hol Mon ) So we had a set menu for three with some free chicken wings and prawn toast thrown in ! The food was lovely , served very quickly and all three of us said it was delicious ! The salt and pepper chicken wings were some of the nicest we have had ! The black bean sauce was also delicious ! Definitely one we will visit again ! Well done xx

Best Chinese in town and very quickl

I have given a 5 star review and been a regular for 10 years, but the meals me and my wife had tonight was the worst I have ever had the roast pork curry I tried every piece of pork and every one I chewed for ages and still couldn’t swallow any of it and my wife had a mushroom omelette there was hardly any mushrooms in it yet it has always been rammed and we always liked the chunky chips but these were awful they looked and tasted like they had been cooked and then warmed back up again,

I remember when this place used to be the best chinese in kidderminster, it kinda changed during the late nineties when the original owner sold it to the next owner the food wasn't as great but was still OK, fast forward to afew years ago it was once again sold the current owner/head chef is from part of china where they cook food so much differently from people in Hong kong (like the previous 2 owners) so that might explain the change of standard of food to say the least. The only remnant of the previous ownership is the guy on till counter(previous owner who now works for them)

I recently moved to Kidderminster and have been looking for a decent Chinese takeaway, and after trying a few others locally we tried King Wah, which was the best by far. Food was tasty and hot, and the chicken balls were nice and crispy unlike other places we've tried. Will definitely be ordering here again.

30 years ago this place was an amazing Chinese takeaway with a sweet family running the show. Fast forward today & the meal we just eat was very poor, my feeling is that any love for cooking and creating beautiful fresh Chinese food is no longer a passion for the owner for one reason or another. I work in catering so know little tricks & cheats to save time in the kitchen,we were fed refried Chips that were at least 1 day old,they were black & had zero flavour,Chicken balls with Sour Sauce was disgusting, again I could tell that the Chicken was cooked previously possibly days before and refried,no flavour or crisp at all. The mains were drowning in oil & grease,far too much salt which just makes you feel ill & bloated hours later. I have fond memories of this takeaway but I will not be using King Wah again, these aren't mistakes or errors in the kitchen, its a lack of care or love for everything they are producing in the kitchen.

Best Chinese around by far but started using horrible plastic containers

Needed another Chinese takeaway as our normal choice was closed for the new year. Following a check on trip adviser, and the recommendation of a neighbour, we tried King Wah. We phoned our order in early evening, just after they had opened at 5pm, was ready by the time we got there!, just over 5 mins, food was very good, nice and hot, tasty and plenty of it - portion size was generous, with free items as we had ordered for four people. Our normal takeaway has lost out - we will be revisiting here in future!! It doesn't appear to have a website, but don't be put off by this - most smaller Chinese takeaways don't have one! Call in the service is good!

The food was delicious and lovely and hot.the service was very quick and at the time that was promised.

Found my order wrong after arriving home. Three items out of eight wrong including two items missing. Food tasted totally different will not be going back.

This is not a restaurant but a take away. I’ve tried several items but recommend the ribs. Huge portions compared to other local take always. Prices are roughly the same but bigger portions. Worth a trip if local but I appreciate this is my personal view.

I got a takeaway from King Wah the other day and it was average. Nothing particularly bad, but not great either. There is hardly any difference between their food and any of the other (anglicised) chinese takeaways in the wider area. I've tried pretty much all of them by now, and the food all tastes and looks the same. It's just a few steps up from a McDonalds. The value for money is good and the food comes out quickly so if you fancy a local chinese and know what you're expecting then this is not a bad choice to spend your money.

This is our Chinese takeaway of choice in Kidderminster. The food is always good. I especially like the Singapore chose me in which seems to go on forever. They usually throw in bag of Rowan crackers and a chicken wing dish. You can't go wrong.

Visitado ayer por aniversario de lujo me decepcionó. Tenía pollo al curry estaba aguada, cebollas y guisantes y pollo crudo unedible. Patatas fritas no estaban cocidos, huevos fritos, arroz y pollo huevos sin pelotas sabía muy barato. En general una comida muy pobre gracias por estropee mi aniversario. No volver a utilizar.

Kidderminster está bendecida con una muy buena variedad de comida China a domicilio. Teníamos comida de King Wah de nuevo la semana pasada, y fue tan bueno como siempre. Nos llamamos y pedimos satay de pollo, pollo foo yung, rollos de huevo frito, arroz sprng, y patatas fritas. La comida estaba lista cuando llegamos, y nos darán pan de gambas.

Tenía amigos por un chino. Pedimos 9 platos principales; 1 de cada 2 porciones y pedí de costillas King doh. Comida y nos dieron gratis pan de gambas, alitas de pollo picantes y rollitos de primavera. Todos escondido y aclararon todo aparte de los huevos fritos de arroz. Excelente comida a un precio razonable. Genial si quieres celebrar una fiesta sin demasiado trabajo! ! ! !

We have used King Wah for Chinese take-away food off and on for years, and called in again yesterday for a quick tea after work. We ordered pork foo yung, fried mushrooms, and noodles. I phoned ahead, and the food was ready for me when I arrived.All of the food was really, really good, especially the foo yung. The portions were also a good size for the very cheap price (just over £8 for all of the above, which easily fed two adults).A very good visit, and highly recommended. It is a pretty unassuming little place when you go in, and is arguably not in the best part of the town, but the food there is excellent.

my family have been using this takeaway since the early 1980s a few years ago it went down hill and we tried it again recently but he food hasn't improved. I won't be somewhere we will go again

Just had beef curry and egg fried rice, still as good as it was 30 years ago. Think i've tried all the dishes at one time or another, never been disappointed. Need one say more. (earthy noodles? either one had a cold or they had picked them off a spaghetti tree!)

Tried a take a way from here one night, used to be the best , now is a shadow of its former self, found a strange taste to the noddles, like earth taste.I know for sure that the place has been closed down by food standards before, for storing food out the back yard.I also know a plumber who worked recently on a above flat, who saw that food was being stored outside yet again.He advised us not to buy a take away from King wah ever!!! All in all I don't think the food is up to much, used to be good, I guess most of the reviews are from the red an pub, after a skin full poo can taste good.All in all I would avoid

Not very good in all honesty, very salty and not really very pleasant to eat, barbecued spare ribs that are soggy and with no real taste is not a good experience and not sure what the chow mein was cooked in, probably well used oil, dont wish to say much more as it was not good

Expensive, quite bland and very dry. Didn't feel I was getting a premium pizza, just premium price. I thought Papa Johns was in the same league as Dominos considering the price but the pizza was no different to those you can get from the £4-6 kebab shops. The garlic bread was as dry as toast.

Have dined here on many occasions, always excellent service and good quality food, can take your own drinks at no extra charge. Toilets could be improved

This is my favourite Chinese takeaway. Food is consistently good as is the service. Good value too. I'm almost addicted to their Special Foo Yung, it's lovely.
