King Fish in Windsor and Maidenhead

Have used this Fish & Chip takeaway back in 2020, very poor food then, decided to try again today, should have walked away when there were two pieces of pre-cooked haddock, which thankfully we only chose to have one portion of, and a large chips which had clearly been sitting around for so long that they were totally inedible and cold, a total waste of £13.40p, cash only transaction, and not even a smile for the customer. A night off cooking went badly wrong.

Ordered two scampi and chips but received something which was definitely not scampi, and not sure what it was - heavily battered shrimp pieces perhaps - but definitely not scampi. 100% conned out of £24.20. I would recommend customers to look at what they receive before leaving this chippie.

I usually have fish and chips and it is always nice., I do collect it. Tonight I thought I would try a sish kebab. The meat was too salty and I used Uber eats to deliver, watching the car on the map it was obviously collected but the driver went to another address out of the way first when I am only around the corner. The food was cold and I didn't finish it. Uber eats letting you down for your deliveries I think.

Visited a couple of weeks ago for lunchtime food for the family. We saw you on Uber Eats and thought yes we can have some food as we did a couple of weeks ago. Sadly to say the food was cold and none of it had a taste. Not sure if it was a bad day or Uber Eats let you down. I am still waiting for a refund via Uber Eats.

I asked for fish bite and chips and once again seems like this man always gives us the chips from the bottom of the fryer.

I asked for chicken sish kebab. Was encouraged when the brought large skewers from fridge that had been marinating. However - when I got home I discovered there were only 6 small bits of overcooked chicken in a pitta that was falling apart (stale) covered with heaps of tasteless salad. Will not be back.

Can't believe in this day and age you cant pay buy card. Sausages were dry and chips warm. Didn't particularly think it was that great food and in my opinion not great value for money. Fish greasy and over cooked

We have used this fish and chip shop a few times and it's always hot and miss. Last time the fish was dry and tasteless. Chips were fine but both pieces we not good. Wont be going back.

Very tasty. Big portions. Clean restaurant. Friendly staff. Crispy chips, fresh fish, and next door is kebabs and other options. Easily the best option in this area.

After picking my elderly mother up from the dentist today, we decided to stop here on the way home. I waited in the car while she went into to order some takeaway. She returned to the car a little shaken and told me the arrogant service she'd received. She made her order and you INSISTED she buy more than she had asked for. After she told you she didn't want any extra food, you coerced her into paying nearly double than she should have. Nothing short of harassment. Your greed for a few extra pounds hasn't paid off as you've now lost a regular customer...EXCELLENT JOB

Excellent fish and chips shop, friendly staff, local to me, i go there on my way to work and i like it.They always know what i want.

Always cooked fresh and enormous portions of cod or haddock, very good value for money and pleasant staff.
