King Balti Weymouth in Weymouth and Portland

Living in Cornwall I miss a good curry! Ordered several to take home and freeze. Tried a couple already and wow! Lovely tasting food and generous portions. Delivery (to an address in Weymouth)was also on time and cheery driver. Thankyou

Always had our curry from king balti…up to now. Delivery estimated 20-40 mins, after 1.5 hours, we called and were told it was just waiting to be picked up by a driver. 1 hour later, and still nothing! Had to cancel the order. 1 good thing I will say is, the lady on the phone was helpful and Polite. Extremely disappointed as it was a birthday treat for my boyfriend, and we love the food! Unfortunately we Won’t be coming back because of this .

Have always ordered our curries from King Balti and they have always been tasty. Decided to order one tonight for my birthday and the service has been terrible, ordered at 7:12pm with a delivery time of approx 40 mins, however we had still not received it 2 hours later. There was no communication from them, we had to chase and there answer was very vague. Said how busy they were, which I appreciate but surely they could have updated me after an hour of waiting let alone 2 hours! Cancelled in the end at 9:30, will try elsewhere next time, very disappointed!

First ever delivery take out from here - and it was superb! Extremely efficient, prompt delivery and dishes were really good. Best have had in weymouth so far!

Terrible service on a Monday night! 3 hours for delivery, and we were lied to several times about our food being out for delivery. No discount or refund offered. King Balti used to be our family's go to, but this is the 3rd time in a row we've received awful service!

Wow, what amazing food!! The staff were amazing and so friendly, i have never been to such a lovely place. Down in weymouth on holiday, and this has to be the place you need to go. I would highly recommend 👌

Ordered a few times from King Balti in Weymouth. The first time, I had a Naga, and it was pale, bland, and extremely sub-par. The madras was good on the second time, so I decided to order again the other night.. The sauce was watery, and when mixed with the bland "Pilau" rice, it was like eating rice soup with no flavour, I even had to soak the water up with a paper towel! Almost positive, they sold me boiled rice at the same inflated price as Pilau. The bread was chewy, salad was questionable, and the Lamb Tikka MAIN was nothing but 7 pieces of small cuts of Lamb, with a few slivers of onion. The container was huge, though, so I expected something more substantial, especially considering it was £9.50! I don't normally have poppadoms, but this time they sent 4 and were the best part of the meal, and they weren't what you would expect, soft and tasted like burnt oil. If it's down to the chef on certain nights then the chef from Tuesday 6th August should be removed from his duties. It was shameful! I cook better curries, and I'm only an amateur!

Food Is the nicest I've had in a long time, full of flavour. New favourite place to order food. Highly recommend 👌

I ordered on deliveroo which I have done lots of times in the past as I really like this restaurant. However, today, the order took over an hour and a half to get to me. When it arrived it wasn't as hot as usual and it was very watery. We had to drain it first before we could eat it. When I rang after an hour and 10 minutes to chase the order, I was told it takes 20 minutes to cook. That doesn't explain what has been happening for the other 50 minutes. Not impressed this time round.

Ordered a takeaway to be delivered to a local holiday camp. Great service amazing food. Said if we were in Weymouth for a day out would order a takeaway to take home, we think it's that good

Had a takeaway. The worst Indian food I have ever eaten. Hardly any flavour or spice, sloppy, basic...if you like Indian food, go somewhere else

I previously gave this place an average review, a couple of years ago. I have since ordered from here and found the food to be much nicer than I experienced 2 years ago. The King Naga Veg curry is very nice. I'd go on to say one of the nicest of this kind of takeaway dishes I've had. I take back my previous review. Very nice and a good selection.

The Veg Byriani contained very little ‘veg’ but worst of all, the poppadoms tasted awful, as if they’d been cooked in old, rancid oil.. not good enough and probably VERY unhealthy!

Arrived for a few days on Sunday and been smelling glorious aromas from this restaurant every evening since, promising myself a take away. The Pathia has got to be one of the tastiest and enjoyable ones I’ve eaten in a long time, all of our order was of a fantastic quality, flavoursome and really really lovely. Definitely the place to visit !!! Well recommended.

Was a first-time customer tonight. The food was excellent and distintive; would definitely recommend. Food was prepared promptly and it was well worth the walk 😁. My group has dietary issues and these were dealt with without issue.

Ordered a delivery to our campsite via online , no issues. Driver phoned us when he was 10 minutes away and again as he pulled onto park. Polite, friendly and very helpfull. Lamb madras and chicken balti were really good. Cannot fault. Will definitely order again. Thank you King Balti

Ordered food waited over 1 and a half hour for delivery both times. Each time we phoned was told "they are on the way" we live about a 5 minute drive 10 at most from the restaurant and no food arrived. Called back fed some more lies. Cancelled the food in the end and went to the Chinese across the road. TERRIBLE DELIVERY SERVICE AND FULL OF LIES WHEN U CALL UP

Ordered a delivery whilst staying at Highermoor Farm Campsite. Delivery was prompt and food was absolutely delicious. The best Chana baji I've had in years! Good sized portions, poppadoms on the house and priced reasonably Would recommend.

Went with friends to get a take-away. The guy that took our order was nice and polite. However the guy that gave us the food was very rude and impolite. Also, the food was not worth it at all. We ordered chicken rogon, couple of chicken bhunas and coupe of lamb bhunas. The bhunas were just filled with onions, only few pieces of chicken in all the dishes. The rogon was filled tomatoes. I know tomatoes goes in rogon but not to the point where its only tomatoes in the curry and barely any souce or chicken. And the keema naan. Horrible. I have never seen a keema naan like that in my life. Absolutely tasteless. Would not recommend at all!

WoW - QUALITY TASTY AMAZING I read a review that said about great chicken and this is what tempted me, my problem with takeaways is usually it’s not great quality meat, However this place had the most succulent soft flavoursome quality chicken so tasty the Naan Bread was superb and fresh Bombay Aloo not greasy and fresh all clean white potatoes I’m so impressed also staff are super friendly and helpful And there is an open kitchen which makes me trust them even more I travel all over the country and so far NOTHING better than this place 10/10

They do not have any idea on Indian food. Horrible experience with food. I have ordered a paneer curry. Paneer is a cottage cheese from India that can be grilled or cooked (like halloumi). The curry that I got from them had some cheese melted all over it. I was shocked that they do not know what paneer is. I had also ordered an okra bhajji. It is a dish that consists of roasted vegetables. Here again, they had no idea. They had boiled the okra in a gravy. The only good thing was that they delivered the food in 20 min.

Although the food tasted OK, I've never had a curry so watery. It looked like I had spilt a glass of water over my plate, that added to the fact that they short changed us by 1 dish, lucky to get 3 stars. We won't be going back.

Takeaway arrived promptly and the curry (Fallguni) was nice but the chicken in the mixed grill was dry and overcooked. For a serious/authentic Indian restaurant this is unacceptable. This was also the first Indian takeaway I’ve had where little tubs of raita/dips were not included, which is a shame as the curry was very spicy. The green salad advertised as accompanying the mixed grill was absent.

Loved the curries from here as they are packed full of flavour. There is a good variety of different dishes and there is an excellent delivery service.

Had a takeaway the other night on a whim. Decent portion, great food. Staff were friendly and you watch them cooking it. It was there first visit there but definitely won't be last.

i have been having takeaways from this curry house for 8 years and am a regular visitor. I have never had a bad meal or bad service, the staff are always polite and friendly. I have tasted most dishes on the menu list and would never go anywhere else for an Indian takeout. The food is amazing and very tasty, keep up the excellent standards you are well known for.

Speaking as somebody who does not care for Indian food, the Mishti Madam was marvellous; and the Tikka Makoni quite excellent. Delivery was promised in 45 mins, and took 20, so the experience was wholly positive. Have only just moved to Weymouth, so I suspect that this will be our default choice in future...

Not good. Curry just tasted of pepper. Couldnt taste any aromatic spices at all! Poppadums burnt!...Wont be back...

Always order from this takeaway but after tonight we will never use them again. We ordered the food knew what it would cost only for the driver to give us a price £10 higher. We rung the restraint only to be told that we hadn't paid that amount. This is obviously a case of driver ripping customers off only to be told our drivers wouldn't do that!! I beg to differ. Never again will we be ordering from this takeaway. Extremely bad attitude.
