Their chicken katsu is gorgeous, the fried vegetables were good, service was speedy and the cafe is kept clean and tidy.

Wanted a fresh, healthy bowl of food and was expecting alot more from this restaurant. Sloppy, dirty presentation and underwhelming food which really did provide the gift of giving and kept repeating on me all night. Won't be back.

Not so much a restaurant, more a walk in pit stop that's ideal when time is limited, you want something hot and satisfying and you've a train to catch. Main dishes are freshly cooked and tempura items are available at the counter.

First time been there. Nice Japanese food chain in St Pancras. Very good experience as staff was nice, helpful. Atmosphere was good. Food was spicy & enjoyable. Really reasonable prices. All I didn’t like their ordering system, when they call order ready. It’s by the dish name rather than order No. what if 5 people order same thing, everyone jump to get that. Its so confusing 🤷‍♂️. Hope they’ll change it and manage it well in future.

So disappointing - wanted a quick healthy supper while waiting for my train. Service was grumpy and staff looked utterly fed up. The whole area was grubby and the kitchen area looked filthy. Food was ok, cooked fresh but noodles slightly undercooked and not much flavour. Final insult was being charged £3.20 for a paper cup of hot water with a tea bag in - a very poor copy of a real Japanese noodle bar!

Delicious wraps and noodles, with great options for vegans. I’ve tried the Katsu wrap and Katsu udon dish.

The Udon was fine but the beef was not really good. The table and chairs were dirty. Service was fast but there are other options around.

A member of the staff at the Kings Cross, St Pancras branch felt entitled to be rude to me, as customer. Pity, his unnecessary sarcasm has left an impression such that I will not be returning to the branch at Kings Cross, will not be recommending this eatery to friends and colleagues, and will think twice about choosing to eat at any of the other branches.

This place was sensational when it first opened, as a place where one can enjoy the truly authentic Japanese udon noodles. My family and I were delighted and enjoyed dining there then. We went back few days ago and it was a shocking disappointment. The quality of the noodles as well as sauce were no longer authentic and has become so poor as to compete with Wasabi chain stores. There is nothing wrong with Wasabi of course, as there is an appropriate market for them, however, Kineya has gone done that level was so sad and disappointing. We will never go back again.

Having lived for years in Tokyo, this experience was authentic enough that I needed to remind myself I was in St Pancras Station, London. All the things I remember except for the ‘shouty’ service one gets in Japanese cities. Excellence at a fair price. Thank you.

We arrived around 11.50, Ealing Broadway. No Tampora prawns were available. we were informed they were just being prepared. It took 7 minutes, music was so loud, 3 times we asked for it to be turned down, before it was, then only a little. Main dishes were good, not fantastic, really was spoilt due to the music.

The organisation of the restaurant isn't very clear : you first need to order on the self-ordering kiosk but you only know this if you enter through the left side of the restaurant. Payment is cards only, the choices shown on the kiosk aren't up-to-date with what's happening in the kitchen. You can sense that they're short of staff with the stressing feeling while waiting in line. The food is well served, it's good but there was no mention about the spiciness of the curry (it tasted like a hot one, not a mild). Nothing is explained about the tidying of our bowls and trays, felt a bit weird.

We thought the noodles were delicious! I visited with my daughter and we had the beef ramen and the Tonkatsu ramen. We had a few gyozas which were also pretty good. I know the other reviews aren’t great but for a quick tasty bite, I would say go for it!

Overcooked noodles that are clearly not freshly prepared. Lukewarm, too sweet, terrible texture. The crispy chicken was edible. Only reason I gave it 2 stars.

Dirty table. Undercooked pork, undercooked.noodles, too much spice in the broth. A newish place that has already gone down the pan. I gave it a second chance after a mediocre experience in Cambridge. It has deteriorated.

It was nice and clean, the service was decent, the bao buns we had were amazing, the ramen was pretty good, it wasnt "slurp the rest of the broth" good but the noodles etc were good! The gyozas were pretty flavourless, but the cherry blossom lemonade was great! The noodles were big portions in my opinion so wasnt too bad for the price.

Whenever I’m in London I eat the Chicken Katsu Curry from wasabi. The one from this particular branch was as good as always. The portions might not be as big as at the one in Victoria, where it’s not prepackaged, but the taste is the same. The curry tastes like in Japan and is worth every penny if you ask me:)
